An Unexpected Vacation [Sicarius, Alec Kane, or Invite] [NR]

Seraphina had spent the majority of her time since she had been freed from the confines of that tomb with her niece, Sicarius. Sicarius had been a great help in getting her used to the comings and goings of the world. Cars, electricity, modern weapons, how a stove worked, how she should dress, and an abundance more had been explained by the girl with the pink hair and cat ears - something she still didn't understand, considering that Sicarius was an angel and a vampire... and a cat? Whatever.

So, as she laid in the snow which had fallen heavily last night, a total foot accumulating, she sort of figured that Sicarius would be close by as she always was. The girl had become protective, especially after the episode where Junior Kane had had to come and kill someone who had launched some sort of scream attack at her (which had been when she had reverted back to her sixteen year old human self). But, Seraphina figured that if Sicarius wanted to reveal herself she would. For now she simply smiled up at the sky and closed her eyes as a snowflake fell upon her nose, which was about the only inch of flesh exposed since Sicarius had procured her a long fur coat, fur boots, and gloves that were all white, commenting when she put them on that she had looked like a polar bear.

"I love snow...", Seraphina commented to herself.

Sicarius was indeed nearby her Aunt Sera, ensuring that she kept a close eye on her. Seraphina might be older than her, but the world had changed a lot since she had last been free, and it was a confusing place at the best of times for those who lived in it, so she could only imagine how doubly so confusing it might be for someone thrust into the modern world without being prepared. That, and Sicarius was overly protective about her family, and this particular family member had already been attacked once in Sicarius' own playground.

She heard her Aunt's comment and grinned, revealing her location from a tree she was seated in nearby; having already brushed the snow off of the thing. "Aunt Sera, are you sure you're warm enough? It's really cold out here... I could get you another coat?" Sicarius offered up.

While waiting for her Aunt's response she reached a hand out and caught a snowflake, her own low temperatured body allowing the snowflake to sit on her palm without melting, which gave her time to look at its beautiful and unique design.

Snow and cold. It didn't bother him much. As he came to a stop above what was formerly known as Shinkai Shigai, a bad aura hung about the place. An incredible gust of wind was brought with Kane's sudden stop, which didn't last long.

Those outside in this winter wonderland would be able to look up and see an individual with long white hair dressed in a black cloak, with two glowing wings coming from his back, and a golden ring floating above his head. He seemed to be just standing in mid-air, the glow about him making him resemble some sort of deity.

With a grim look on his face, he closed his eyes and put his radar into use. He could see the two females, but as he expected, there was no sign of Maxi anywhere... A growl-like sound came from his throat.

Radar:

Seraphina had closed her eyes as the snow began to fall harder but opened them again when Sicarius' voice reached her ears. She couldn't help but grin and shake her head. "Sicarius, you worry about me too much. I'm warm, I promise. I could likely fall asleep right here and be perfectly fine.", she explained.

A sudden, short, gust of wind caused her to glance over in the direction that it came from; could the storm be getting worse that quickly? However, that gust didn't seem to be coming from the storm as she looked upon the white haired figure that was dressed in black. The figure looked like some sort of deity, and she had never seen him around before. "Hey, Sicarius... whose that?", she asked curiously. She figured if anyone would know it would be her neice since she was the head of security around here.

Seraphina had no intentions of hanging about if this individual was about to be up to no good. She had already been in one episode since being released from her four thousand year old 'prison' sentence, she wasn't about to go through another one. Seraphina sat up from her comfortable spot in the snow, ready to get up and take off at a moments notice..

Sicarius blinked and looked down at her Aunt as she spoke of falling asleep where she was. A frown formed on her face and she simply shook her head. "If you fall asleep there I will build a tent around you to keep you from being covered in snow." She would too. She wouldn't except her Aunt to move, she wouldn't even wake her, she would simply make the situation more comfortable for her. After everything the elder female had been through Sicarius wasn't going to have her Aunt do anything she didn't want to to.

Sicarius then picked up on the arrival on a new individual. She was so in tuned with Velo City as the head of security that she could sense the arrival. A frown covered up her previous smile and she turned her attention towards Alec Kane while she slipped off her branch she had been seated upon. She moved quickly, coming to stand next to her Aunt who looked ready to jump up and bolt if trouble was about to arise.

"I believe that's Alec Kane, Aunt Seraphina. It should be alright, relax."

He wasn't here. It further fueled his desire to remove these females from this city and country which was just a bad stain on his memory. He'd almost wanted to bring the Devil Gun and erase this place from history... but now wasn't the time for that.

Alec landed and his wings disappeared. With his walking stick in his left ungloved hand, he stepped over to the two females. Alec noticed that he'd began to draw stares from some of the other residents, some fearful, some curious, some of which recognized him from that incident with Squall and Fukushu all those years ago, but he didn't much mind. The snow made soft crunching noises as he walked over.

"Sicarius... good to see you again. Junior told me what happened while I was... away on business. This must be your aunt Sicarius."

Alec propped both of his hands on top of his walking stick like he always used to, using it as sort of a cane. they both looked in defensive poses, but Alec came here to do nothing of the sort... that is, as long as no one tried to stop him. He highly doubted that would happen.

"He also told me some freak attacked Seraphina. You'd think someone would be doing a better job of looking after her and teaching her about this new world she's woken up into after being trapped for so long. Where's Maxi?"

Seraphina listened to Sicarius and allowed herself to relax. She remained in a seated position though and brushed the snow off of herself, or rather off of her long fur coat: it all came off easily enough. Seraphina, not relaxed, smiled slightly. "Yes, we thought that changing me into a child would be a good idea because I'd be able to 'get a second shot at life' so to speak. But, that turned out not to be a good idea after all, so Sicarius here imagined me back to the way I was after that incident."

"I'm not sure where my brother went. Sicarius has been helping me, and her friend Pyra i'm sure is close by." Seraphina explained before standing up and brushing snow the rest of the way off of herself.

"Nice to see you again, too, Mister Kane. Yup, this is my Aunt Seraphina."

Sicarius watched her Aunt get up, holding her hand out in case she was unsteady on her feet: Sicarius was always over-protective of the female. It wasn't that Sicarius thought her Aunt was fragile because she was human, but her Aunt had already gone through a lot and Sicarius had every intention of keeping her as safe as possible.

Sicarius nodded in agreement with what Seraphina said about how Sicarius was helping her. "I've been keeping her safe, Pyra's around too somewhere. Pyra used to be someone in my head, he protected me against the frightening things I sometimes saw from the cobweb. I made him completely real one day through my ability to imagine things and make them appear. He's never far from me. We have a connection that allows him to know when there's trouble."

Alec didn't know she'd been changed back into a child. Obviously that was a bad idea. Seraphina said she didn't know where Maxi went, and Sicarius said she'd taken on the responsibility of keeping her safe, along with something she'd conjured from her imagination named Pyra. In any event, Alec still didn't feel comfortable with just Sicarius and this Pyra individual keeping watch on things.

"...There's something I want to do, but I don't think it would be right of me to just spring it on you all at once. So I think you need some convincing first. Would the two of you come back to Edge City with me? There's something I think you need to see."

Just like last time, the main person that should have been here, looking after his people, was nowhere to be found, and here was Alec, left to pick up the slack. If it meant adding more on to the Kane ranks, then so be it.

Seraphina was curious to know what exactly Alec wanted to do, or what he had to show them for that matter. So, she simply shrugged her shoulders. "Okay, I'll go to Edge. How exactly are we getting there?", she added her question hesitantly. She was rather excited about seeing yet another city; Velo City had its own technology but at the same time she knew Edge did as well, and she was curious to see it too. She loved exploring and seeing new places, and this was a chance to.

She didn't exactly have the ability to fly, and she was definitely not super fast or anything. If she had to get there by her own means it was going to take a while for her to do so. "I'm a lot slower compared to the two of you, and I can't fly.", she added, voicing her thoughts out loud.

Sicarius tilted her head, curiosity was something that caused her Malkavian nature to blossom and it was the same in this situation. What did Alec have to show them? What did he have planned? She was curious to find out. She hadn't ever been to Edge, though she had seen pictures of it, and figured it would be cool to check things out.

"Alright, we'll come with you.", she spoke out loud while at the same time sending a telepathic message to Pyra, 'I'll be back, I'm heading over to Edge City with Alec Kane and my Aunt Seraphina. I shouldn't be away too long.' She knew with how strong her connection was with Pyra that he would get it no matter how close or far away he was, so there was nothing to worry about there.

She giggled at her Aunt's words and shrugged. "Someone could carry you over; it'd be the fastest way."

Alec stepped over to both of them as his wings came to life again with a tremendous boom, causing a wave of the snow to be cast backwards behind him. His wings weren't as powerful as they usually were because of his sealing chain around his left wrist, but they were powerful enough. Alec knew Sicarious had some kind of way of getting to Edge quickly on her own, but as he put an arm around Seraphina's waist, he put an arm around her as well.

"I'll ask that you don't make any sudden movements while I move, the effects could be disastrous."

Alec suddenly blaster upwards off of the ground with the two females; the sudden movement upwards causing another large wave of snow in all directions. He began to move forward and away from Velo City. The landscape below went through many rapid changes; from city, to country, to forest, to ocean, to land and country again, to forest, and finally back to city again, all in the course of about 5 seconds. As long as they didn't move while he held them, they would suffer no ill effects from such swift movement.

Seraphina giggled when Alec touched her, being exceptionally ticklish. She gave a nod before he took off, reminding herself not to move at all no matter how scary or amazing what he was about to do might be. She kept herself completely still as he took off, leaving behind Velo City and heading straight to Edge City. She wasn't used to moving this fast, but she had a feeling that Alec wouldn't let anything happen to herself or to Sicarius, so there was nothing to worry about.

"No moving, got it.", she said while making a mental note for herself that her Aunt was ticklish: this would be exploited at some point! Sicarius, too, kept herself un-moving, though the sensation of moving that fast didn't bother her at all. She was all too used to moving like this. Off to Edge they went!
