| After Kaia~Mai was taken in by Alec Kane, shown a life in Kurayami where she wasn’t hated or detested, she’d got comfortable. She had taken to training daily, continuing to increase her abilities, the jutsu she knew. She was always on the watch for any potential danger. The more she got closer to the people of Kurayami the less animal-like she became, and the more she wanted to protect them. She adjusted to her life there very easily, and learned what true stability was. She’d gone on numerous missions and always proved to be victorious. The only slight sore spot in her entire life there was that she never saw Ranmaru again, he had never found her, and even when she had stepped away a bit to look for him there was simply no trace of the cannibal who’d been a father-like figure to her. So, she had simply returned to Kurayami after giving up, planning on living out her life there.
However, she had found herself being ripped through time and space into another world - a world of shinobi that was in utter chaos. Village against village, there were more foe than friends. Yet, she had once again found herself training and thriving. There was an enemy hiding in the shadows, using the villages like a puppet, and one day she found herself coming face to face with this enemy. How the man had survived she didn’t know: but it was her father, Mitsuo. He was stronger than ever before, having found some way to unlock Rinnegan, and he offered her a deal: join him, or die like everyone else. He had willingly given her three days to decide. Kaia~Mai had known that with those god-like eyes of his the only way she would survive a fight against him was to match skill with skill. She had no intentions of joining him and helping him on his quest of power and destruction, so she had found herself doing the one thing she had never wanted to: unlocking her own Rinnegan with the help of blood stolen from the Senju who had tried to do her in back in the other world. The face off against her father at the end of the three day mark had been legendary, the destruction great and vast, but in the end she had utterly destroyed him, leaving the world free from his clutches. As victory was celebrated among the masses, the tyrant overthrown, Kaia~Mai had found herself ripped through time and space once again, only to a much stranger land.
A portal of sorts opened high up in the sky, like the sky had been torn apart, spitting from it a battle worn and torn Kaia~Mai. At now around sixteen years of age, Kaia~Mai looked exactly as she had before, save for the fact that her bunny ears were gone - a casualty of her last transportation to another world. Long white hair framed her face, drifting across her Rinnegan eyes. Her garb was traditional shinobi attire: a knee length yukata, black in color with a purple design, covering her, beneath of which was worn a fish net long sleeved top and leggings, while traditional shinobi sandals covered her feet. Around her neck dangled the headband for Kurayami, while around her left arm was wrapped the headband for Konoha though unlike the Kurayami headband which was in pristine condition and gleamed in the light, the Konoha headband had a gash through it, a sign that she was a missing-nin in that particular village. Her rapier Myrtenaster was sheathed at her left side, and the wireless radio earpiece still within her right ear.
Her body was held suspended in the air for several seconds, her ice responding to form a protective layer around her, as if this portal were actually contemplating where to throw her, before she was ‘spit’ in a manner of speaking right towards Makurra’s outer edges.
As the ground got closer a thin layer of water which quickly formed to demonic ice came from the gourd made out of ice and water upon her back, acting as a platform of sorts that would begin to slow her as she neared the ground. The ice that coated her form kept her from burning up at the speed in which she originally had been moving, protecting herself. Once she was close enough to the ground, she would jump from the platform, landing softly upon the ground, finding that using these kinds of abilities didn’t require chakra as they had back in the other world. What sort of other changes would she notice?
Thinking to the wireless headpiece in her ear, she would reach up, pressing the small button before speaking, ”Can anyone hear me?” It was a shot in the dark, but maybe she’d find someone else she knew here in this world - as long as it wasn’t her father, she’d be happy.
"Perhaps we will find peace here, child?, the voice of Kasai spoke softly within her head, the swordsman bijuu ever with her. Kaia didn't know about all of that, it seemed like war followed them where ever they went, and now with the power of Rinnegan, if someone realized what those eyes could do she'd likely end up hunted. While she had chakra radar, for now she kept her eyes uncovered, there was no telling if she was about to be attacked.

| ...What the hell was the deal with Amaranth's island? He hadn't seen that shield since the old says in taverns with Dez. Even from here in Makkura Alec could see the smoke around it as well. That was Ghost... was something that serious going down again after all this time?... Hmmm. Seeing as no one called, maybe it wasn't anything too serious. Or, maybe Jr figured he could handle this on his own. He did have many powerful people around him, mainly Dez and Niala. The girl could just imagine things and make them reality. He was sitting at one of the outdoor restaurants, leaning forward with his elbows on his thighs, his hands cupped together into a fist beneath his chin. He was dressed in his usual black jacket, wife beater, jeans and boots. A halo was above his head, shining brighter than it used to since he'd taken a trip back to heaven... that event still weighed heavily on his mind, even all these years later. No one from up there tried retaliating or trying for revenge. While the Kane trademark hair was white, Alec underwent a transformation that caused his body to de-age back to a point when it was short and black. Somebody spoke through the party line. Alec closed his eyes, letting his radar go into play... Someone was nearby. Someone powerful, headed on a path that lead to the village, carrying what looked to be a tailed beast?... It had been a long time since he'd seen something like that, and he didn't know them. Was this related to what was going on over on Sunset Island? Alec couldn't help but to start getting a little excited. Were the old days coming back? He didn't mind this peace at all either. - Radar:
Name: Alec's Advanced Chakra Radar Canon/Custom: Custom Rank: S Type: Supplementary Element: - Range: All ranges Specialty: Chakra Radar Duration: 1 post Cooldown: 3 posts Description: This is a personal ability exclusive to Alec Kane; a more advanced version of the Chakra Radar taught to him by the prodigy of the Holeman Clan. It retains all of the abilities of the original but adds on several extra benefits. Firstly, it allows Alec to see how much chakra a target has - a "sense of strength" in other words - and also to see if the target is a carrier of a chakra or tailed beast. It allows him to differentiate hostiles, allies, and non-participants such as villagers and pedestrians. It also allows him to focus on a target and sense approximately where they had gone, or inversely, where they would go. This is particularly helpful in tailing a target, or detecting the path someone would take, in order to set up a sneak attack or lay an ambush. With his advanced radar, Alec is also able to pick up cold trails, or locate disguised enemies. However, for the latter, he is required to concentrate harder and scrutinize people individually, rather than as a crowd.
"Didn't think this thing still worked," Alec responded. "Who is this? Are you mean? You trying to fight? I can see that tailed beast in you from here. We got women and kids here, it's bad news for you if you bring violence."

| Someone responded and Kaia felt her shoulders relax. She wasn’t sure the communication system would work in this world. The voice that responded requested information, and she was half tempted to lie. However, if she was going to find anyone who knew who she was then that likely wasn’t a good idea. No, the truth was probably the best policy. Especially considering whoever she was speaking to could clearly tell that Kasai resided within her.”My name is Kaia~Mai.. Um, as far as if I’m mean… no? I mean, I’ll defend myself if needed, but I’m not here to harm anyone. I don’t even know where I am.”
Kaia wasn’t sure exactly how to explain what had just happened to her, or how to make sense of it. Perhaps the person on the other end of the communication would think her crazy, but if she was going with honesty then she was going to explain this the best way she could. “I… I’m from another world? I’m not sure how I got here. I lived in a village called Kurayami once, and then another village named Konoha, but a giant rip opened up in the sky, if you look up you might still be able to see it, it hasn’t closed entirely yet. It brought me here and spit me out. This is the second time it’s happened. So, I’m just trying to find anyone I might know and figure out what is going on.”
She would go quiet then, waiting and hoping for a positive response. She was willing to fight if it came down to it, but she hoped not. So far her words were truthful. She’d approached Kurai, who’d said it was a bad idea to stick around his village since so many people had a bad opinion about her due to Munnin running his mouth and about what Ranmaru and she had done, but he’d then called the leader of Kurayami and Alec had taken her in, even let her live with him, well, before everyone seemed to disappear. From there she’d ended up in Konoha, and a war. Was she about to find herself in battle once again?

| Kaia Mai... That name sounded familiar, from a village a long time ago. A village that was always in the dark, just like Makkura. He and several ninja took the whole city over from a crime organization. Those were good times... There were a couple of criminals roaming around that killed and ate people... She was said to be one of them. Alec didn't remember the whole story; many parts were fuzzy.
"That name sounds familiar... By chance, did you used to hang around a guy calling himself... Ranmaru? They said he ate people, he was crazy, and he could fight with 'clothes' somehow. Wish I coulda saw this guy in action, but I think he was really a coward."
Alec reached behind him and grabbed the bottle of booze. He pulled the top off and took a long swig, looking at the shield around Sunset Isle surrounded by smoke, still wondering what was going on over there. Alec had the feeling that tempers would flare were he to show up asking what was happening. For now he would just watch... Perhaps he would learn more soon.

| Kaia~Mai remained where she was throughout the conversation, though with Rinnegan eyes she continued to peer around: the darkness was almost unnaturally thick, and it certainly reminded her of home. At the next round of questions, her head would tilt a bit: he knew about Ranmaru? ”Yes. Ranmaru… he was a cannibal. The Kage, Munnin, attacked us in the forest, almost impaled me with a bunch of trees, and Ranmaru ripped his arm off. It was apparently a big thing. Munnin made us out to be bad guys… I suppose Ranmaru was, but I only defended myself. That’s why when I showed up in Mori, after Ranmaru disappeared, the Harukage, Kurai, suggested I go to Kurayami. No one was going to like me in his village, and people were scared because I had the blood of a Senju. He sent me there with a clone, and the Kuraikage said I could stay there. He said there was a lot of people there with strange mutations like me - I used to have bunny ears - and that I’d fit right in, which I did. Mr. Kane let me stay with him in his house, and said that when I got older I could have my own place. But, then everyone disappeared.”
Kaia frowned, thinking about it. ”Well, not everyone, but a lot of people. I ended up disappearing too. Like I mentioned, one of those rips in the sky opened up and I was transported to another world. It was horrific. See, my dad, Mitsuo, had died during this big thing in Kumogakure, and well… he wasn’t all that great of a dad anyway. But, in this new world I found myself in, he was Hokage, and he was powerful. He had these really special eyes called Rinnegan. He was a tyrant, taking over all the villages, but no one was strong enough to stop him. He ended up telling me I had 3 days to make up my mind to join him or die, but I couldn’t go back to doing that to people, not after how Mr. Kane showed me I could live. So, after this big three day long battle I finally managed to kill him… Everyone was celebrating and trying to rebuild, but then another one of those rips opened up, and well.. Here I am.” She had kept certain details out. She didn’t know what all this person knew about the other worlds, but with her Rinnegan still visible, she wasn’t taking any chances - he already knew about chakra beasts, and could clearly see her though she couldn’t see him without activating her Chakra Radar. Her eyes could be considered a hot commodity here too, and the last thing she wanted was to leave herself open for someone to pluck them out.

| He knew this person. He'd taken her in to let her live in the big mansion he'd taken for himself, after finishing off the crime lords. Alec could still feel some of the excitement from back then. He'd been somewhat of a crime lord himself back then, and managed to assemble a powerful crew that went unchallenged. The crazy guy in question was exactly who he though they were. Alec wanted to face off against this loon, but from what Alec put together, the cannibal guy took steps to avoid them crossing paths.
It seemed the girl went through further adventures after Alec and his family were pulled back into their world, with some of his crime family coming with him. It had been a long time since anyone else made the crossover, and Alec thought that the doorway between worlds must have closed. But here was proof that it was still open. Perhaps more would show up. Were things starting to get interesting again? Something was definitely up. There was what was happening on his granddaughter's island, and now a powerful ninja had showed up practically on his doorstep.
"I knew I remembered you... Keep on the path you're on, it'll lead you to the village... I'd advise not wandering off in the distance, there's beasts and whatnot that live in the dark, rumor has it they eat people... I never really saw it for myself, but better safe than sorry... Security is listening and know you're coming, they'll let you in... Once you're in the village, come 3 blocks down and make a right, you'll find me. I'll explain everything..."

| Hearing that she was remembered made her hopeful. She didn’t know if the tear in the sky was going to one day suck her up again and transport her somewhere else, but she kind of hoped it didn’t. It was getting old being thrusted from one world to another. She still didn’t understand why it had targeted her twice, but maybe she’d find out those answers soon enough. Listening to the instructions on how to get to the village, as well as the warning about the monsters that lurked in the darkness, Kaia would reach into a hidden pocket, pulling out a piece of purple cloth she normally wore over her eyes. ”Understood.”
Closing her eyes her chakra radar would immediately kick in, allowing her to see everything, including some really weird stuff going on on an island close by. Starting to walk, following the directions given, she’d tie the piece of cloth over her eyes, returning to relying on her chakra radar rather than Rinnegan. Reaching the village quickly enough, and without incident with any creature lurking in the darkness, she’d follow the directions, heading up three blocks and making a right.
She was curious as to who she’d been speaking to, as well as what was going on. But, she also had more of her own story to tell: if this was who she thought it might be, then perhaps even a gift to offer up. She was still being a bit cautious, but she was feeling a tad bit less weary than before, whoever this was obviously seemed to know her, and considering she hadn’t been attacked yet, she was leaning towards it was someone from Kurayami.
Having followed the directions given to her, she’d pause, her head shifting as she ‘looked’ around her surroundings some more. She found herself feeling momentarily thankful her power still worked here, but there was something else - she kind of felt like she'd eaten a bunch of sugar, like she was even stronger than before. It made her realize how careful she'd have to be at first. Even her gourd of ice on her back, held in place by a purple bit of cloth that wrapped around her, seemed lighter than before and no longer hindered her movements.

| A restaurant was among the houses in the neighborhood. It was situated overlooking the wall on the west side of the village, giving a view of Edge City and Sunset Island both. Alec often came here to eat and, like he was trying to do at the moment, get drunk, because of this view, and because the soup here was unlike anywhere else on the planet, or even others.
There was a yard on the side of the restaurant that had numerous tables. Some of them had people sitting, eating and just general chatting. No one would react to Kaia in a negative way, only glancing over to see someone new. Alec waved her over from his table, in the back near the wall. There were several bottles around, noting that he'd been here a while.
"Have a seat... you must have a thousand questions. I bet money that the first thing you're probably wondering about is how you can use abilities that cost chakra back in your world for free here... It might take a while to wrap your head around it, but i'll explain. Are you hungry?"
Alec snapped his fingers a couple of times, causing a waiter to emerge from the restaurant through a doorway covered by a purple sheet. "Hello," he said, giving a bow. "What would you like to eat? The special of the house is called 'Dark Soup.' It's cooked with beef and vegetables."

| Someone was waving her over from a restaurant, and she assumed that’d been who she was talking to. She had an odd feeling this was someone she had met before, but they didn’t look the same. Maybe people looked differently in this world? Hopefully, she’d have some answers soon. Making her way over to the table, she’d noticed the amount of bottles nearby and raised an eyebrow behind the purple cloth now covering her eyes. Removing her gourd of ice and placing it one the ground before sitting down at the table she nodded to the words spoken to her. ”Yeah, I was wondering about that… I kind of feel like I did when I was a kid and ate a bunch of sugar.”, she’d comment.
Turning her blind folded head in the direction of the waiter that appeared she’d speak once more, ”I’ll give the special a try.” Then, her attention would focus back on the man before her. ”I’m also wondering why you seem familiar. My senses are pretty sharp, and I have this feeling we’ve met before, but you look differently than what my senses are telling me… Mr. Kane?” It was a shot in the dark, but Kaia was good with sensing people she knew before, even if they looked different. Of course, she could’ve been entirely wrong, maybe her abilities worked differently in this world than the others she’d been in.

| Alec started to transform, his skin and clothes moving and shifting until he looked like he did back in the ninja world. It looked to be a painless process. In all honesty, Alec missed having this look, and would probably have it still if he didn't ask for many of his game changing powers to be sealed off; a sort of handicap on himself after traversing the post-apocalyptic landscape once known as Pacific City. - Symbiote:
Description: The Symbiote is a living being. Once it bonds itself to a host, the bond cannot be broken by external means. The host can cause the Symbiote to mimic any article of clothing that they think of. The host can also use the Symbiote to cover the skin and disguise themselves perfectly as other people in this same fashion, leaving them disguised even to forms of sensory and extra-sensory. "You're probably used to me looking like this, right?"As Alec shifted back to his now normal look, he noticed new things happening over on Sunset. He also noticed how the shield attempted to engulf Makkura as well, but in the very beginning Alec noticed that many game changing abilities such as Dez's shield didn't work here. It was why he was never worried about someone attacking or trying to take over. If an attempt was even made, they would have to do it the same way Alec did it: by hand, for the most part. The thought of someone trying to take this place by force, or even trying to destroy it was laughable. The waiter had gone back inside the restaurant to prepare Kaia's meal. It wasn't too long before he returned with a steaming bowl and a blue fruity beverage to wash it down. "Ok, so hear me out... There are worlds that are parallel to each other. Who knows how many, but yours and mine are 2 that are close. You're in my world now. Using chakra here won't drain you like back in your world, but you can still over-do it and die. You're gonna see a lot of things you've never seen before, like machines and technology."Alec pulled out his cellphone. Since it was equipped with a 3d projector, Alec showed her pictures of Edge City, cars, airplanes and robots. "That's Edge City over there, my dad and his partners started it. He used to run the place, then he passed it to me, and now my son runs it... If it looks a little weird over there, that's because you arrived right in the middle of some kind of crisis. I don't exactly know what's going on, because if I know Junior, he'll want to handle this himself. That island there belongs to my granddaughter, Amaranth. That shield is a defense system built by her mother, my daughter Destiny... As weird as this is gonna sound, that smoke? That's Amaranth's father, his name's Holeman but we call him Ghost. That smoke can eat anything..."Alec frowned slightly after taking another long swig of alcohol. It looked like Sunset Island was being invaded... It looked like whoever this was brought WMDs with them (Weapons of Mass Destruction). Ghost, he was going to eat those, but would Alec himself really have to get involved?...

| Alec transformed to his old appearance briefly and it brought a grin to her face Kaia~Mai nodded to his question. ”Yup.” It was then she noticed that something seemed to be going on over on an island that looked like it was winter time. Someone was attacking it, and it looked like there were at least three individuals planning on defending it.
However, even as she watched, accepting her food and drink that came and beginning to chow down, she listened as Alec explained about parallel worlds, and how she was in his. The reasoning behind her feeling so hyper was because there wasn’t a chakra drain here, however as he warned about over-doing it she nodded in understanding between bites of food. She would then ‘look’ at the device Alec pulled out, getting a look at the more modern aspects of this world, including a city called Edge. She listened as to how his father and some people started it and his dad was in charge before passing that title to Alec, and then to Alec’s son Jr. It was then revealed that the island being attacked belonged to his granddaughter, and that some of the powers she was seeing belonged to his granddaughter’s mother and father. Alec’s frown made her wonder what he was thinking - she had a feeling he wasn’t happy about his granddaughter’s place being attacked like this.
Considering all of the powers on display, and how strong they were, along with the fact that someone was clearly trying to start some kind of war, Kaia~Mai paused in eating and reached into one of her hidden pockets. ”I was going to do this later, but considering what’s going on perhaps now is the best time…” She’d pull from her pocket two scrolls, sealed intricately with Fuinjutsu so that not just anyone could open them up. ”I never wanted Rinnegan, I only got it because it was the only way to defeat my father and save that world. With that said, and with whatever is going on, I want you to have these. The white one contains my father’s body - I feel it would be safer with you than with me, since this is your world and you obviously know the kind of things you’d be facing here. The second contains my father’s Rinnegan, same deal applies.” She would pass the scrolls to Alec, and if he would to touch them the Fuinjutsu seals would change, the passing of ownership changing them in such a way that only he would be able to unseal them. ”You showed me in the other world that I could live differently than I’d grown up under that tyrant of a father I had. You showed me friendship and acceptance. That’s a debt I can’t repay, but I trust you with my life, and I trust you with this.”
Kaia~Mai would then frown. ”I’ll be honest with you, Mr. Kane… I planned on having my Rinnegan removed as soon as I found a medic I could trust to do it. Even here in this world, seeing the kind of power there is, I still want that to happen eventually. I never wanted to play God, and that stands. I’ve got Kasai, and my demonic ice, plus my radar… I don’t want Rinnegan.” Her head would shift in the direction of Sunset Island, keeping an eye on that whole ordeal. "I'm also willing to help with whatever is needed - I'm no stranger to war even though I'm still young."

| Alec was keeping watch on the activities taking place on Sunset when Kaia paused eating to speak. He had his suspicions that because of the way her eyes looked, she'd obtained what was known as Rinnegan. During his time in the ninja worlds, Alec himself looked for someone who had these eyes, or a way to change his eyes into them. He didn't have much luck on that, but was always open to the idea that he may meet someone with them. In his crime lord days, Alec would have killed to obtain them, like he'd killed to get the Sharingan. Those days were long behind him though... Yet right now, Kaia was freely giving over the eyes and body of her father, Mitsuo, and spoke of how she didn't want the ones in her sockets either. Alec speculated that she'd met up with someone from the Holeman clan, or that she had something similar to it. He wasn't going to ask her; it was none of his business. Alec had no plans of having another eye transplant, but he would take these eyes for no other reason but to keep them out of the wrong hands. Alec seemed to simply reach into the environment itself, reality rippling around his arm like water. He pulled from this ripple a large dufflebag that shook the ground when he put it down. Alec took the scrolls and put them inside of the dufflebag. - Dimensional storage:
Bestowed upon Alec by Jr Kane Primarily used to carry his dufflebag of weapons. Capabilities The user can put items/beings into a separate dimension for safe keeping, and can summon them back with relative ease.
Users have different methods of "Pocketing": some have holes or areas on their body that "suck" objects in, some use a "Bag of Tricks" or "Magic satchel" to hold infinite amounts of objects inside. Others can create a "floating" portal or simply reach behind/in anything and pull out the wanted item. Some users can even use the style of "Trade In/Out" for any items that they have right now and the items that they want from their dimension, ex. trading a pistol for a shotgun or one's clothing for a new tier set. "If you're serious, I know a medic that can do the surgery you want, he did mine for me. If you mean it... There's still a house or two free here in the village, we can arrange for you to move into one, if you wanna stay here... If you don't wanna live alone, you can move into the tower. There's all sorts of rooms free still---"There was a flash, then a boom. A tremble that eventually shook the village made some people yelp and yell. The boom made Alec spin his head out towards the island again. There was an explosion that looked like a nuke going off. Alec stood up, fearing the worst... but the explosion, after growing so big, suddenly shrank, and disappeared?... That had to be Ghost, no question. It only made him more curious as to what was really going on. Somebody was really stupid enough to try setting off a nuke on Sunset? Alec started to think he would really have to go get involved in this, at the very least, to find out what was the story... "It's starting to look reeeeeeally interesting over there..."

| When Seraphina had returned to Makkura she had delved immediately into what kind of power she had, what kind of abilities she could wield. She had trained for hours a day, every day, coming home exhausted and tired, but always with a smile on her face. The more she pushed herself the more she had realized she could do and the happier she became. It became apparent almost immediately that she could manipulate nature: she could create flowers, plants that both had healing properties as well as toxic and poisonous ones, she could grow crops that far superseded anything done by normal hands, in fact she could create an entire forest if she wanted to - an ability she was told that seemed to act like a more advanced version of Wood Release. What’s more is she learned that animals adored her. Even the monsters hiding in the dark that would have loved to make anyone else their prey who wandered off the beaten path either avoided her entirely or acted as guardians or protectors over her: they obeyed her every command.
This meant that Seraphina could quite easily wander through the darkness of Makkura without fear of being harmed, something which had come in handy when she’d used her abilities to expand the agricultural portions of the village, enhancing the crops so that they grew bigger and better, but so that they were also more sturdy and healthy despite the constant darkness. In fact, helping with the agricultural portions of the village had become her pet project, something she enjoyed doing, not only because it allowed her to be among nature, but because the purpose behind it meant easier food for the animals, as well as people, who called the place home.
She had also begun to learn how to fight, and the first thing she had learned during this was just how incredibly fast she was. However, her endurance and strength were lacking, it was a problem she was going to have to work on. Sure, she could use her Wood Release to keep people at bay, but if someone were to come up close then that’d be a problem. So, with that thought in mind she had ventured out to find her brother, figuring he might have a few ideas on how she could train. However, as she neared the restaurant another her empathy picked up on the emotions before an explosion in the distance caught her attention.
“Alec, what’s going on, and who is this?”, she would question her brother, her gaze shifting off towards the direction of the explosion. She had no way to see what was going on, but she knew that to be the direction of Amaranth’s island. ”Did something just explode on Amaranth’s island?” For the girl who’d arrived, if possible, she’d see a female, five feet tall in height, with lightly tanned skin and long white hair. As usual, Seraphina was wearing a yukata, silk, and black in color, with an intricate flower design in white on it.

| Alec tucked what she had given him into some kind of dimensional pocket of sorts, which only proved to her she’d made the right decision. She doubted just anyone could pull that out after all. ”Yeah, I want them removed. See… back in the day my dad almost killed me ripping out my eyes after forcing mangekyou sharingan to evolve. He left me for dead, but somehow I made it. When I came to I had this ability to see things even though I didn’t have eyes. It was small at first, but it got a lot bigger - like right now I can see that something is going on on that island. So, I don’t need eyes to see, and I certainly don’t want this power. I heard stories that it could decay your soul; mine’s plenty tainted enough without that.” Alec was offering her a place to stay, either in the big house, or a place of her own. ”I’d prefer to live in the tower, honestly, just like I did back home.”
Then suddenly another female was appearing who looked a lot like how Alec used to. She was wearing a pretty yukata, and seemed concerned about what was going on. The girl was a bit small, even smaller than Kaia~Mai was, and she couldn’t help but to wonder if she was related to Alec some kind of way. ”Hi, I’m Kaia~Mai.” She would’ve said more, but what was going on on the island seemed to be getting more intense, and it held her attention. Was someone going to attack here too?

| Kaia described the typical Missing-Nin drama from the ninja world; Leaving villages, getting stronger, forcibly evolving abilities even if it meant a loved one got hurt or nearly killed. Kaia wanted no parts of it anymore. What she had in place of normal vision sounded just like the Holeman Radar that he had, and she said it was pretty much all she needed. She didn't want to go down the path that those eyes took her and would rather be rid of them. Alec didn't blame her at all. She also mentioned how she would rather stay in a room in the tower over having her own place.
Seraphina approached soon after. Alec figured someone else would sense what was going on out there and come looking for answers, but even Alec had none. He had no idea who or what could have started this. Part of him was excited to see some drama after so long, part of him was afraid for Amaranth and Dez, and part of him was angry because some fuck was over there probably attacking his loved ones, which was a no-no when it came to the Kane family. You attack one of us, you attack ALL of us.
"I don't know... but, since that big thing that looks like a shield and that white stuff belongs to my daughter, and that black smoke is my son-in-law, and that red stuff in the smoke and the white stuff is my granddaughter, not to mention how that explosion looked like a nuke going off, i'm... gonna go out on a limb here and say whatever's going on, it's pretty serious. I think they may have this under control since no one's called me yet. So for now, i'll wait..."
Alec finished the bottle of booze. He picked up and opened another one, taking another long swig, his eyes never leaving Sunset Island.

| The girl introduced herself as Kaia~Mai, and Seraphina assumed she was probably a ninja from one of the other worlds her brother and other members of the family had gone and visited. ”Well it’s nice to meet you, Kaia~Mai, and welcome to Makkura. Seems you’ve shown up at an interesting time. I’m Seraphina, by the way, I’m Alec’s little sister. If you ever need anything you can find me out in the fields most often - I help with the agricultural aspects of the village. I also live in the big tower.”
There was a lot going on on the island apparently, but from what her brother said it seemed like they probably had it under control since no one had called him yet. Seraphina could just watch, hoping that truly was the case, meanwhile she couldn’t help but to wonder who it was that was brave enough to attack Amaranth’s island? She’d heard the stories about Destiny and everyone else over the past few years, so someone either had to be really brave or very stupid to want to go up against someone who was essentially a walking bomb watiing to go off.

| Kaia~Mai took in a fraction of a moment to really look at Seraphina. There was something about the girl that seemed kind, and that was confirmed when she introduced herself and said that if she ever needed anything she could either be found in the tower or out in the fields helping with the crops. The vibe she got from other woman was that she was some kind of Senju or at least had similar abilities, which was pretty cool. ”I’ll keep that in mind, appreciate it.”
She listened as Alec explained what they were seeing, whose attacks were whose, and that he didn’t know exactly what was going on but figured they had it under control since no one had called her in. From what she knew of Alec from the other world, and her opinions she was gathering here, she could only assume he would jump in in an a heartbeat, especially considering these were members of her family doing battle. It was like white and black, day and night, compared to the way she was raised and the way her own relationship had been with her father.
While she was excited to be rid of the curse of Rinnegan, she figured it could be put on the back burner for right now, especially with more pressing matters going on. She too was willing to jump in and help should it be needed. She was not the type to sit back and let people get harmed, not if she could help. For now she’d keep her eye on the fight, seeing that a woman was revealed within the ocean by a powerful technique. However, she noticed something else there too, some kind of connection the woman was attempting to forge. ”The hell is that? Tell me you can see that too?”

| When things were starting to look pretty bad, suddenly it seemed that it was... over? Someone else appeared on the scene and did something, and then things just... stopped? Kaia was right, someone attempted to... tie themselves to Amaranth, but someone else, Dez most likely, did something to take it into herself and cancel it out. If not for the alcohol in his system, he could get a clearer picture...
But now, it was over with. The shield and smoke disappeared, the water came back down, and one of the people down there seemed to just be smashed into nothingness. Was that really it?...
"Hunh, looks like that's the end... for now, anyway. I wonder what that was about?... Gonna have to go visit Edge again soon..."

| Seraphina was glad to see things had wrapped up, the whole ordeal had concerned her. She didn’t want anything happening to anyone in their family. It was one of her motivations to train as much as she had. Sure, her abilities helped out in the agricultural portion of the village, but they’d also be useful elsewhere, as would her connection with the monsters lurking in the darkness.
”I hope everyone’s alright. I’m curious too what’s going on…” She was a bit surprised no one had said anything yet. But, she figured they’d find out in time. As long as whatever had been going on was finished, and their family was safe, that was all she could ask for. ”Let me know when you’re heading back to Edge, Alec… I might want to go with. For now I’m going to go check on Avery and Artemis. I’m wondering if maybe Artemis knows something - she came back right before this all began.” Seraphina would turn then, heading back towards home, every few steps a random flower seeming to spring up beneath her bare feet.

| The ending of the woman who’d been causing trouble was brutal, but Kaia~Mai expected nothing else. There was a reason why the Kane’s had been so respected in the other world, and she expected nothing less here. Sometimes violence was needed to solve problems, you couldn’t just talk everything out. Add on the fact that the woman had been messing with the younger generation, and yeah, Kaia~Mai understood that reaction. She could only have wished in the past that her father would’ve done something like that for her. But, she had been lucky to be shown a different path of things from others, and she was grateful for that.
Seraphina seemed interested in checking on people, and questioning Artemis if she knew what was going on due to her timely arrival home. She wondered if there were any answers to be found from the other girl. Either way, her head would shift as she ‘looked’ back at Alec. It seemed like there was a lot going on, so she really didn’t want to add more to his plate. ”Looks like things are busy, just lemme know when you get a chance to talk to that medic you mentioned. I’m not in a rush, but the sooner I’m rid of these eyes the better. If there’s power like that in this world, I’d hate to see what someone could do with eyes like mine..”
