A Purpose [Open to Company Members]

Seraphina nodded a bit to Junior, glad to hear that the Templar's had no reason to go to Makkura. She also couldn't help but agree that they likely wouldn't make it past all of the shadows and the monsters that hid in them. So, she wouldn't have to worry about that if she decided to head back.

Seraphina went to open her mouth and say something else when the sudden and drastic change in weather caught her attention. ”That came out of nowhere...” She wandered over to the window and looked out of it for a moment, frowning.

Devon kept watch as the memory of Alec's life continued through his father's point of view. He had several siblings, including a younger brother named Nevan. His family seemed to be doing well, and was very powerful. A weapon was being forged specifically for Alec. There was a legend around that was heard about several times of a Demon legend that if a loved one were to sacrifice themselves on a weapon their soul would be absorbed by it and make the weapon more powerful and unbreakable.

The memory went on to reveal that Harriet made prophecies, and one of them was about Alec: one of which said that Alec was the Chosen One and would change the war between Heaven and Hell. Another told of how he would fall in love and marry his best friend, Audrey. Following this was one of where Alec would either turn evil and betray the Angels, or die in battle. It was at that point that John's attitude changed towards his son; he became cold towards him in a sense.

A situation was staged following this by John to get Alec into trouble, which resulted in Alec being thrown out of Heaven. John was the one to do the act with Alec's mother looking on from nearby. Alec was told none of this information. Alec was knocked unconscious and dropped out of Heaven.

Suddenly the beeping of her machine told her that Alec's virtals were changing: she had no doubt that what he was seeing was pissing him off – especially if the weather outside had any indication. Devon entered in several key strokes and pulled him out of the Animus as quickly and safely as possible. ”Alec, I know you're pissed but you need to calm down... The stress won't be good for you after getting out of the Animus so quickly.”

She got up and came over to the Animus, finishing the process, and staying there in case he happened to try getting up too fast.

"Looks like dad is in a bad mood... and I can't say I blame him..." was Jr's answer to the weather.

It all made sense now... or maybe not, but now he knew what happened to his father. His biological sister made several prophecies about Alec, stating that he was "chosen," and that he'd either turn into a bad guy or sacrifice himself to save Heaven. Because of this prophecy, everybody started treating him like shit in order to change history, but because everyone treated him like shit, he turned into a degenerate; a class clown.

John Kane set Alec up to get kicked out of the academy, and ultimately, Heaven. The intention was good, but Jr thought it bullshit; his father wasn't told anything or even given a choice in the matter. Worst of all was the fact that his childhood friend and future sweetheart killed herself to create his father's Angel Sword. John cast Alec out of Heaven... and everything after that is history.

Jr, because of his ability to manipulate rage and induce it in others, could feel a rage below building the likes of which he hadn't felt since the days of Chaos Squad and those Kingdom clowns. What was he going to do? Jr had an idea, but if it really was what he was thinking, he'd have to stop his father before something really bad happened. Jr started to look worried...

Before being pulled out of the Animus, Alec saw a jumble of other images... images that included the Kane family growing from a loving group to cold and distant... Martha began to spend more and more time in God's Kingdom, away from John and her other kids... The whole family keeping tabs on Alec, watching him through the years in his many battles with Siths, clones, astral people; his time in The Chaos Squad, with Sunny, the birth of all of his kids, good and evil... Alexis secretly training herself in the use of guns, after watching Alec for years, to then sneak out of Heaven to watch over him... Alexis was eventually discovered and recalled. The incident with Nevan and his eventual defection...

Then he was back in R&D, and Devon was telling him to calm down... calm down? How could he, after what he'd just seen?... He sat up, grabbing his head, seeing people walking around R&D that weren't actually there. There was a dazed feeling, a headache, a pain in his chest that made it hurt to breathe.

Alec suddenly found himself wanting to hear an explanation straight from their mouths. He wanted to hear the reason right from the mouth of John Kane. He wanted to hear straight from Martha Kane the reason of why she would let him do such a thing. Why both of them never gave him the ability to make his own choice, and instead making it for him. To end up down here, chased and hunted by monsters and freaks for the longest time. Down here, to fight in a war against an army of assholes and copy cats for over 10 years.

Standing and pulling on his coat again, the Angel Sword appeared in response to his growing anger. Alec pulled the glowing weapon off and couldn't help but to stare at the sword that had been at his side for as long as he could remember, now knowing that the sword housed the soul of a girl he couldn't remember; a girl that loved him so much that she sacrificed herself just so she could stay by his side forever... While John Kane did nothing to stop her.

Alec let out a loud grunt of frustration while putting the sword back on, heading for the nearest window. If he was about to die today for what he was about to do, then so be it...

Junior was the Boss of Edge City.

Destiny was a go-between for both Edge and Sunset Island.

Demi owned her own club, the most popular in the city.

Artemis was growing up, and even more talented than he was at her age.

And while he didn't know the fate of Serenity, his second born, Alec was sure she was somewhere just fine.

All of them were fine, and would do just fine without him here anymore. Alec opened the window and jumped out of it, propelling himself upwards at a blinding speed.

Seraphina frowned a bit: she didn't like the idea of anyone being in a bad mood – she was sensitive to emotions, extremely so. It was partially why she was happy all of the time: the darker emotions bothered her too much for her to want to portray them for long periods of time. She glanced back out the window in time to see Alec fly upwards. Where was he going?

”Hn... I don't like darker emotions. They make me feel funny. I'm going to go find Sicarius and give her hugs... She's always bright and happy.” She would turn to leave and then pause, looking back to the window and then to Junior. ”Let me know what's going on... I don't know what upset Alec, but I can feel it's really bothering him, and you too.”

She would then turn with a sigh and walk out: she hoped everything would fix itself, and she felt powerless to help - she knew so little of this world still.

A frown formed on Devon's face and stayed there. It was clear that Alec was suffering effects from the Animus, but he didn't seemed worried about those. In fact, he seemed more worried about leaving and heading straight up: where Devon assumed Heaven was located. Shaking her head she frowned deeper and went over to her computer; shutting down the Animus completely soon after.

She sat down in her chair and rubbed at her temples. She was beginning to feel like this machine wasn't a good idea after all. Thinking quickly, and realizing that she needed to let Junior know what was going on in case he hadn't been watching, she pulled out her Company cellphone and shot him a quick text.

Boss,

Your dad saw some stuff that he didn't like about his past and it pissed him off. I think he's heading to Heaven.

With the text message sent she turned her attention back to her computer and simply stared at it, brows furrowed.

I know, I saw everything. I'll handle it, don't worry. This was bound to happen one day Devon, so do not blame yourself.

This is what Jr text'd back while standing from the leather recliner. He quickly created a shadow clone of himself which sat at the desk in his place. Jr next opened the window while making his white feathered wings appear, jumping out next, his clone closing the window behind him. Jr sent a text to Demi and Dez next, for he didn't think he'd be able to stop him alone for one, and for two he wasn't as fast as his sisters or his father. But he had to do something.

Devon made a machine that allows one to see into the past through their own blood. Dad saw why he got thrown out of Heaven. He's on his way there now, most likely to raise hell. You two have to help me stop him before he gets himself killed! Just come outside and look up, hurry!

Once the message was sent, Jr concentrated all his efforts into attempting to catch up to his father the best way he could...
