Lounge [Open to Company Members]

There was a lounge on floor 998. It had couches, pool tables, old school arcade machines, TVs with various game systems, and snack machines. He'd been out of it the past few days, lounging in his suite, stuffing his face.

He still wanted to get to know someone in here, but maybe they were avoiding him, or just too busy. So, board in hand, he walked into this lounge with a sleepy expression. Having himself a look around, the big room was pretty cool, but seemed barely used. He walked over to one of the snack machines to see that everything inside was free.

So after he got himself a honey bun, he walked over to fall onto one of the couches before a big screen TV. He grabbed the remote and turned it on, then took a big bite of the honey bun, scrolling through channels. He knew he'd never be able to do something like this back home, which made it extra cool.

Ka'lara had made it back to Darkman Tower and up to her room before the tiredness of all of the recent events had kicked in. Between the fight with the Saiyan and then straight into a hundred laps around Konoha with weighs on, plus learning a new kick and a new punching technique she was absolutely exhausted. Exhausted to the point to where she didn't even make it more than a few feet into her suite before she collapsed on the nearest couch and passed out, half hanging off of the thing.

She slept for the rest of that day, through the night, and into the next morning before she finally woke up. A groan escaped her as she sat up and she lifted a hand, rubbing her hair out of her face. She felt gross and so she got into a quick shower, picking out a similiar outfit to the one she was used to wearing: red sleeveless top, bandages around her chest and ribs as well as covering her palms and going up to her elbows. Black pants went down slighthly past her knees, and black open toed shinobi sandals were on her feet. Ka'lara now wore the weights that Spook had given her after her personal promise to keep them on until they were really needed. Her Konoha headband was around her waist with her pouch of weapons and her company pendant hung from around her neck. Her black hair was back in its usual messy ponytail. She noticed that her clothing fit her a little differently due to the muscle she had put on with this new training.

She grabbed an apple out of the fruit bowl of the counter of her kitchen, her stomach roaring to life, and then headed out of the door to her suite. She was curious to see more of the tower as well as meet more of the Company members and therefore took the elevator down one floor and exited it. She walked down to the lounge where she could hear a TV on inside. She stepped inside to see a single individual eating a honey bun on the couch.

She took a bite of her apple, the crisp crack obvious enough to likely announce her arrival. "Hey there, I'm Ka'lara. Well.. Nanalie, but I go these days by Ka'lara.", she settled on introducing herself. She scratched idly at her bare arm where her full body tattoo stood out boldly against her tan flesh.

Matt was up all night. He'd tweaked and re-tweaked the suit. he'd tweaked and re-tweaked the Nanoids. After a test, he found that he was way stronger, way faster than he was in Ground Zero. This was only after staying up all night and constantly doing tests.

There were bags under his eyes. He looked like one of those zombies over in PC. Matt stepped into the lounge, seeing 2 others in there. He had tunnel vision from lack of sleep, so he didn't see who they were right away. He grabbed something to drink from the snack machine and sank onto one of the nearby couches.

The other reason he'd stayed up all night was that alien kid. Matt had never taken a beating like that, least of all from soneone younger than him. In the end, he may have won, but this was something that weighed heavily on his head. The kid was still alive and in Neutral City; who knew what he was up to over there...

A girl came in. She sort of looked like a ninja. He stopped mid chew to stare in her direction a while. Who was she? She had to be new. He'd never seen her around in here anywhere before. She had wicked tattoos that looked like they covered her whole body. Where all did that tat go?...

He found himself drooling then, and quickly wiped his mouth, turning away as his face started to turn red, as it usually did in the presence of a girl. She looked like she was strong too. It'd be best not to act stupid in front of her, because maybe she really was a ninja, meaning she'd probably kick his ass.

"Hey, uh... i'm Yata," he responded. "I'm kinda new around here..."

Then, somebody else came in. Was he the guy from the office, the one with the slick suit on? He looked tired, or mad, or both. After he grabbed something from the snack machine, he sat on the couch nearby his. Yeah, he looked pissed off or determined about something. Yata had been out of the loop the last couple of days, had something happened?

"Yo, you alright, dude?...You look like your dog died, or your girl just dumped you for your best bud or something..."

He came to a channel that had a breaking news story. Apparently there was an attack in Neutral City. A strange ball came down from the sky and caused a big explosion that killed many and left a giant crater in the ground. A little kid came out of the ball. He attacked several people in an Internet Cafe, killing a long time worker and two police officers with what was described as "lasers from his bare hands." He then traveled to an all-you-can-eat restaurant and freeloaded, resulting in numerous other deaths. He attacked several helicopters after presumably hiding atop a building...

"Wow, what the hell? Who is that kid, an alien or some shit?..."

"I'm new, too."

Ka'lara noticed how Yata stared for a while before turning back around and paid it little mind as she took another bite out of her apple: having worked in a bar so long she was used to it all a little too much by now to take offense to it. She then glanced over as The Vigilante walked in next looking like he hadn't slept since that encounter with the alien, and just maybe he hadn't. Had he been up since then working on improving himself? She figured only time would tell, and she wasn't going to ask given that the guy looked like he was in a bad mood.

Ka'lara went over to one of the empty chairs by the television and sat down. She turned sideways so that she was facing the television more and dangled her legs over the arm of the chair comfortably: ignoring the creak as the chair not only absorbed her weight but the weight of the weights she wore on her. She was in the middle of taking another bite of her apple - the thing brought up to her mouth - when the news came on revealing a story of this flying ball heading towards Neutral City, crash landing which caused a lot of destruction and deaths... it was all downhill after that.

Ka'lara's passive expression as she watched turned to one of anger. "Son of a bitch that alien kid healed fast...", she said softly as she watched. She then looked over towards Yata as she heard his question. "That's some alien who was over in Ground Zero killing all of the demons, mutants, and other freaky things over there. The boss man sent him.." she nodded her head towards The Vigilante ".. and I over there to check things out. It turned into a nasty fight... " She turned her gaze back on the television and watched as more destruction caused by the kid was revealed. "He has to have some sort of weakness... I refuse to believe that someone with that much strength, who is that fast, doesn't have a weak point.", she commented out loud, brows drawn together as she thought about what it could be.

"Spook sensei said I should be ready for him now...", she muttered softly under her breath as she tossed her apple into the garbage and cracked her knuckles.

"..."

Matt didn't answer the skateboard kid. Maybe he was trying to be funny, but Matt wasn't in the mood to laugh. He was hoping no one would be in here like usual, but both Ka'lara and the skateboard dude were here. It was all a bother. As long as they didn't start asking him too many questions or talking too much, he wasn't going to mind them.

Still, he debated on going back to his suite, where he could truly be by himself, until the skateboard kid changed to a channel with the news on. The alien kid went to Neutral City and started causing havoc. How the hell had he recovered so damn fast? it made Matt stand to his feet with a worse frown than he already had, making fists.

"...The little fucker looks even faster than he was in Ground Zero..."

Should he go there and put a stop to this madness?... Was it even on anyone in The Company to assist Neutral City?... Matt's knuckles popped in anticipation by just making his hands into fists...

Yata took a surprised expression as he sat up some from his slouch on the couch. "Wait, hold up, you guys are serious? That REALLY IS an alien? And you guys went toe to toe with that dude?"

That must have explained the shitty mood the dude was in. Did both of them lose to that alien guy? Likely, with the way dude jumped up and started looking like he wanted to punch the TV.

The girl said he was over in Ground Zero killing the freaks over there. Jr sent them to check out what was going on. That must have been what that call was about earlier; Yata was starting to feel relieved that he didn't answer. He wasn't equipped for that kind of job, and if he bested these two, Yata wasn't ashamed to admit that he probably would have stood no chance.

"A real life fucking alien, man... Look, he even has a tail... at least, I think it's a tail... What if he comes here? Jr dude gonna have to spank him?"

The kid took down fighter jets and attack choppers with just his bare hands. He even threw tanks miles and tore them open to beat up the drivers. "That kid's a monster, man... You guys really gonna go up against him again?... Gee-zuz..."

Ka'lara looked closely at the television as Yata mentioned that the kid had a tail. She hadn't noticed it before when they had been fighting him: she had been too worried about those fists and feet of his and that ball of energy he had been about to form while she was making her Aura Sphere. But, there it was, a tail. "Hmm.."

She looked over to The Vigilante who was on his feet, knuckles popping from the way he was clenching his fists. She saw the frown on his face and couldn't help but wonder if he was thinking about going over to Neutral City and having another go with the kid alien.

"I'll go up against him again if needed..." Then her gaze was brought back to the television as the news reporter started to go on about how the kid had suddenly taken off, flying out of Neutral City.

"...." Ka'lara was suddenly on her feet and staring hard at the television. What direction was that kid going? Which place was going to fall victim to his violence next?

Maybe he hadn't been to sleep, but to hell with resting. That thing was still alive. it had blown up billboards with pictures of him on it; he was sending a message. Especially with that look he gave the camera before he took off. With the direction he was headed, it was obvious where he was on his way to.

Matt started walking towards the exit. "He's coming here," he said. His suit began to come out and form around him. "He blew up billboards with pics of me on them, so that means he's after me. No one get in my way..."

He found a window in a random room, opened it, and jumped out...

"Yeah, don't worry about me getting in the way pal, all yours..."

Fuck joining into that fight. A brawl against a freakish alien kid who could fly and blast death beams from his hands? Throw tanks miles into the sky? Rip apart fighter jets with his bare hands? Yeah, no thanks. The plan was to park his ass right where he was, and watch the action unfold from the safety of this lounge.

He said he didn't need any help, furthermore. Was the girl gonna go out there and join him anyway? This was pretty much his first interaction with anyone else in The Company since joining. She looked like she was wearing weights on her ankles and wrists, and could kick some serious ass if she had to; she didn't seem like the type to be looking for a boyfriend at the moment, least of all Yata.

Figuring she was probably gonna go charging out after him anyway, he turned his attention back to the TV, and back to what was left of his honeybun...

She opened her mouth as if she were going to argue with The Vigilante and then thought better of it and shut it. He was right, after all: that alien kid had been destroying billboards and posters of The Vigilante all through Neutral City and it was clear that he was the intended target. If The Vigilante wanted to go out there and face him alone then she was going to let him.

However, if she saw him needing help, or saw that alien kid about to do some serious damage, she had every intentions of stepping in.

For now, though, she simply sat back down in her chair with a frown and a sigh. She turned her focus back onto the television and continued to watch the news as they kept going over the destruction that the alien kid had caused. "No point in going and getting in the way if he wants to fight that kid himself, I suppose... ", she said after a moment. Still, she found herself itching for a fight, especially after all of that training... perhaps something else would come along soon and she would get a chance to hand it its own ass.
