The Beginning of a Long Day [Invite Only][Pre-Plot Thread][NR]

Cala needed air; she didn't want to be in the tower where she would risk being given curious looks or even worse curious questions. She didn't want to deal with anyone, really. She told her sister she was going for a walk and that had been the extent of any conversation she had had with anyone.

So, that's exactly what she was doing. Wandering slowly down the street, her mind far elsewhere than her surroundings. She didn't want to think, she didn't want to feel. She had been so sure that Vigilante would be angry with her, pissed off with her for disappearing how she did. But, maybe she had been wrong? She hadn't looked at him except for once because she didn't want to stare and make him feel uncomfortable, but it hadn't occured to her until much later what that might have seemed like to him. No wonder he had left the way he had. Alec got a great welcome home from his family, hugs and kisses and everything, while she had given the man she loved the equivalent of the cold shoulder.

Great. Fucking. Job. Cala.

Really, she should win the award of greatest stupidity. But, whatever. What was done was done. What could she do about it? She had chased after him, had tried to catch up to him, but his evasive movements had made that impossible. Sure, she could go to his house... but he had made it pretty clear he didn't want to chat when he didn't stop.

So, Cala just continued to put one foot in front of the other, walking without really caring where she was going, how far she had traveled, or even what time of night it was...

"Target acquired."

"Man, this is way too easy. Something has to be up..."

"Shut up and get the disk. She's alone and that's about as good as it's going to get."

"Man, if we fuck this up the boss is going to be pissed."

The black van with the tinted windows pulled up behind Cala and the doors opened. Four men got out, one carrying a strange technological device that was beeping. The device was supposed to supress supernatural powers, speed, and strength, and they were hoping on their lives that it would work or else they were going to be in big trouble.

All four of the men wore run down suits and equal armed crosses hung from around their necks. "May the father of understanding guide us...", the one holding the disk muttered before sending it flying, like a frisbee, towards Cala's neck. If the girl didn't notice, and she seemed too deep in thought to do so, then the disk would open up and snap shut around her neck, instantly reverting her to a weak human status.

If this were to happen the goons would rush forward and grab a hold of her, dragging her backwards and into the van where they would tie her up while the driver sped away and to their Templar hideout.

SNAP!

"What the fuck?"

A strange feeling came upon her, a weakening. But, she didn't have long to think about that before suddenly four men came upon her and grabbed her up. She tried to fight them off, but she no longer had her vampiric strength to count on nor her speed. There was nothing she could do as they threw her in the van and tied up while they sped off. It wasn't long before they got where they were going... and hell began.

They had her! They really had her! Their bosses were going to be more than pleased. Perhaps there'd even be promotions in the future for them! They got to their hideout and entered in through the garage, the door closing right behind them and baring anyone else from being able to enter. Once they were parked they dragged Cala out of the van and into the elevator...
