She was no longer /grounded/ and now it was finally time to head back to the island she called home most of the time. Her week had been spent, and so far nothing of importance or bad had happened. She had kept her nose clean and her head down, and had all in all behaved herself rather well.
She knew her daughter must be more than ready to head home too, and therefore she walked with her out into the hallway, down the elevator, and then allowed Nanalie to climb up on to her back, figuring se would just run them the whole way home, as it was her normal method of traveling.
With her daughter situated she took off, running through Edge City too fast to even leave much of a blur behind, and continuing on across the country until she reached the ocean. She didn't bother slowing, using her speed to keep herself and her daughter above the water as they traveled, and free from getting wet.
She didn't stop running, the whole trip taking a matter of minutes at the speed she was going, until they were both safely on the shores of Sugure no Shima, her bare feet pressed into the soft warm sand beneath them...

| Nanalie was more than happy to be heading home. Not that she didn't like Darkman Tower, the place was great, but she hadn't exactly got to pack everything she would have wanted to bring for an extended visit. Besides, she had been slightly worried about doing something that might get herself or her mother into trouble: and she had only assumed her mother had been in enough trouble with that spirit thing after her.
So, as she climbed onto her mother's face, and then pressed her face against her back and shut her eyes, not wanting a random bug or something to come flying in her face by watching, she giggled and just waited until she heard her mother say "Home sweet home!" for her to finally look up, and hop down from her mother's back.
She fell into the sand and moved her arms and legs, creating a 'sand angel'.
"Yay! Now I can go swimming!" | |
