You look familiar... [Squall, or Invite][Travel Thread][NR]

Demi stood at the very edge of Edge City. She'd been for the past several hours hanging out with her angelic best friend; and more than knew what she had been being summoned back for by now. The urge to cause chaos was once more flowing through her veins, and its call was almost too loud to ignore.

But, where?

Surely not Edge City. She respected Alec, though of him as some sort of second father. Plus, that would also affect her best friend; she wasn't about to do that. She wouldn't go mess with Amaranth's little island paradise either for much the same reasons. New Vagas would be no fun; there already was enough chaos there without her adding to it, and even if she did go she wasn't going to get the same effect. But Shinkai Shigai? Yes, that would do nicely.. again.

She turned her form in the direction of the very far off city, wondering for a moment if the paint had been found and removed yet from the walls... and wondering what sort of chaos she was going to cause when she arrived there....

What was the shorest distance between two places? A wrinkle in time. That is exactly what the male stepped out of, making his way closer to the edge of Edge city. Why was he here? He'd applied for a 'job' with a friend of a friend. While the male had no need for money, it was nice to get out the house at times and keep his skills sharp. He very well could not write everything off as an expense report to his private company. Selphie, his finance manager, would go apeshit when she saw the reports. So, the sides jobs were needed; a little money in his pocket, a little travel, and a little bloodshed. Perfect for the leader of the SeeD corporation.

Clutched in his left hand was a strange weapon, far from what he was normally known for. He'd once been called the "Relentless Revolver" for his skills, but that was the past; he'd long since retired the weapons associated with that particular moniker. Time for a fresh start, eh?

Demi had just been about to launch herself into the sky when she noticed the arrival of the male. She blinked a few times and tilted her head a bit. There was something.. familiar... about him, but for the moment she couldn't quite put her finger on it. It was enough to build her curiosity up, however, and to keep her from leaving.

An eyebrow rose as she began to backtrack in her mind. Out loud however she simply said "Not many people dare trying to show up around here like that... city's edge or not."

Something was talking to him. Blue eyes calmly looked to the source of the sound, locking on a female. With a small shrug of his shoulders, he stretched some. "I was told to be at this exact spot at this exact time. I guess you're the welcoming party?"

He was unaware of the dangers of the city; a mere foot or so closer to the city, and he would have been vaporized.

Demi blinked a few times and then tilted her head. She had been called many things before and welcoming party had no topped that list at all. "Well.. I don't know about welcoming party. I guess that would depend on who exactly told you to come to this exact spot at this exact time... " An eyebrow rose again.

"And be lucky your not like.. vapor, or goo or something. Had you tried doing that a foot or two closer the city's protections would've turned you into something squashed.", she added before falling silent and waiting to hear who exactly had given him orders to show up. The urge to reach forward and prob around for the answer mentally was there, but she suppressed it for the moment; thinking of it much like a game of sorts where her prize was her answer.

Head tilt, a question was asked? A spark ran through the male's eyes, indicating the activation of an ability. AS the male looked upon the woman, much was revealed to his eyes, including the fact that she was a supernatural being. Narrowing his eyes, the hand that held his weapon clenched. "An old aquantance. A vampire by the name of Maximillian. But even still, whom might you be.?"

Demi's head tilted suddenly as she picked up on his reaction. A small smile slipped across her face and then she giggled. Crazy is as crazy does after all. Listening to his response she nodded suddenly. "Ah... well, that would explain it then." She pointed at herself and grinned. "I'm Demi, Demi King. Maximillian's chylde."

Her head then tilted in the other direction. "Did he says exactly why you were supposed to come here, now?" As she waited for her answer she contemplated exactly what she was going to do to Himitsu's city when she got there; painting was out of the question, been there and done that. She needed something... with a bit more of a bang. Annnnd distracted crazy was momentarily distracted; but still somehow paying attention.

"I'm supposed to have a job waiting for me her." So, she was Maxi's chylde? Well, this was a nice suprise. With the way Maximillian acted, Squall did not expect the corpse to have children. "Ah well. I suppose you wouldnt know where I can find an "Alec Kane" around in the city? He's the guy I'm supposed to report to."

Demi smirked suddenly. "Well... world's small enough, and getting smaller." She pointed off towards the tallest tower in the city, one thousand stories to be exact. "He's in there. Office is on the top floor. Enjoy that elevator ride...a whole one thousand floors to go. I meanwhile... have some business to attend to..."

She giggled suddenly, a crazed look covering her face. "Well.. not business, it's more of a... pleasure of sorts. Time to go harass the lady who owns the white city and sells... weapons, drugs... people...", she was mumbling by the end, whether talking to herself or him still was a mystery. Demi still hadn't understood exactly why Himitsu needed to be agitated and toyed with... but she kind of enjoyed doing it.

"Oh? Mayhaps.. I can tag along?" This was Maxi's child. Knowing Maxi, if there was a specific reason for him to be here a this time, she was it. And if she really was Maxi's chylde, .. there was an old debt to repay. "Promise I wont be a bother."

Demi had been about to take off when she heard the question and paused, blinking. She turned her gaze back to the male and shrugged her shoulders. "Eh, sure. If you really want to. She's liable to try throwing me in jail or something... just a prewarning. Could turn violent." A wicked grin spread across her face; as if such a thing amused her, and it honestly did. The very idea of being locked in some sort of cage was laughable, and it got her blood pumping a bit for a fight.

"By the way, what's your name?" She took several steps away from Edge city, giving herself a good bit of distance. She took the moment to ponder exactly how the male was going to travel to the white city; she herself would use shadows... though she figured he might use the same method he had shown up with.

"Leo--" He'd been about to do it again. The whole mishap of him with another name. Not happening right now. A fresh start; time to try again. "Squall. Squall Leonheart."

Demi nodded in acknowledgement of his name. "Well then, Squall.. I'm going to shadow jump my ass across the ocean and I'll see you again in a few then... And then the fun can begin." She grinned wickedly, and then all but disappeared, her entire form sinking right into the shadows.

She jumped from one to another to another, like lightning with her movements, and it only took but a matter of a few minutes to reach her newest destination: the edge of Himitsu's city.
