"........." The fuck was this? Niala had been seated, as she had been for the majority of the past five years, behind her desk when a strange prickle had run from the base of her hair line and down her neck and then her spine. It was something she had learned a long time ago not to ignore. So, with curiosity peaked she had turned around in her swivel chair to see the appearance of a country surrounded in darkness. It wouldn't even have been that strange if it wasn't for the fact that Sunset, which had been pushed slightly further back, was bright and sunny while this... place.... was nothing but darkness.
While she had a feeling that this was Makkura, the village she had spent a small portion of her time in before entering back into this dimension where she stayed while everyone had left again, she wasn't going to just guess and not do anything about it. No, it was better to be sure that this wasn't some threat that had arrived after five years of overall peace and quiet.
So, she stood from her desk and walked over to one of the large windows the office had. She glanced down at the drop she no longer minded and opened the window. She stepped out into the air and allowed herself to free fall. She wasn't worried about smashing into the ground; the pendant around her neck allowed her safely manipulate the air around herself so that she slowed enough to the point to where when she hit the ground she did so lightly and safely. From there she was taking off; dodging around buildings, cars, people, all while leaving only the barest of a hint behind she was even there.
She ran across Edge City, her target in mind: Makkura. When she reached the ocean she continued on, running so fast that she remained on top of it instead of sinking down into the depths of it. She reached the land and continued onward, pushing on to the village she guessed to still be located in the heart of it...
