Runes and more Runes! [Ghost, Jr.][NR]

Amaranth was glad to be home, but before she could get a chance to rest there was something else she had to do: well, two things really. She had to let Jr. and her father know about Holeman and who he was - if they didn't already know that is, and she had to give them their runes so they didn't have to worry about the void issue she had put on the island.

Her first stop was the beach of the island; she knew her uncle tended to wander around or nap on the beach, so she figured that that was where she would likely find him. with her cloak billowing in the breeze she walked down the beach, giggling as the water lapped at her bare toes. Every so often she'd come across a deep area, a puddle, and she would jump into it, splashing water everywhere - all while keeping an eye out for her father and uncle.

"Daddy? Uncle Junior?"

Ghost was around. He'd been here and there, keeping an eye out, hearing certain things. He kept around the island for the most part, but he wasn't out of the loop. He knew that the island had been moved from it's previous position near Japan to the river in Edge City. He also knew about people coming here from another dimension, and the spirits that fused with others too. As for exactly who came through, and who fused with the spirits, those details were unknown to Ghost.

Ghost would sometimes animate sand or water, and create small beasts to do battle with each other to entertain the many kids that lined the beaches. Right now though, Ghost was simply sitting in the sand with no shoes on, letting the water come up with the surf to wash over his bare feet. Amaranth approached, dressed strangely, but since it was so hot out here he didn't really pay her showing off so much skin any mind. If any perv tried something they'd die...painfully.

"Amaranth? What's up?" he asked.

Void Travel:

A door opened next to Amaranth. Jr came stepping out of it eating a bag of chips. He was wondering when she was going to return from her latest trip to Edge, which seemed to be right across the way now. When he went to sleep last, he dozed off looking toward Shinkai Shigai. When he woke up, he was looking at Edge City. Honestly he thought he was dreaming and lay there with his eyes closed for a few minutes longer, but when he got up to pee, Edge was still there.

"Been looking for you," Jr said as the door closed. "Uh... why is Edge City over there now instead of Shinkai? Was I seeing things or was some kid with a thing on his head following you around on this purple cotton candy looking thing that looks like a cloud? And..." Jr looked her up and down. "...Why are you dressed like that?"

Figuring she might as well start from the very beginning she plopped herself down on the sand, between her father and uncle, feet still in the water. "Okay, long story as short as possible... I moved the island because I no longer felt a reason to keep it by Shinkai, especially with Himitsu living here and her dragon-friend wandering around in Edge. I also figured it was safer, because that lady over at Ground Zero looks like she's up to something most of the time, and I'd rather not risk it..."

"That kid you spoke of is named Holeman, he's one of many people who came from this other dimension where everyone's ninjas and stuff. A lot of other people have come over too, Nanalie, Spook who happens to be that dimesions version of grandad, Aisling's spirit which merged with Demi after I made her a full blooded angel because that's Demi's other version... and MItsukai's spirit, who merged with me because apparently I'm that dimensions version. Which is also why I'm friends with Holeman, him and Mitsukai were really really close friends in their dimension." She reached up, scratching her head, and hoping her explanation wasn't confusing.

"I suppose this is the way I dressed over in that other dimension, so it feels comfortable, especially on the hot beach... But anyway, I came to find you because the island's now under a little Baby Dead Zone, nothing deadly... well, not really. Anyone who doesn't have the rune I put on them can't do a lot of stuff like teleport and all of that fun stuff. Plus, the rune connects me with them and them with me; and allows both people to know where and how well the other person is doing. So, I wanted to give you both one.. it looks like a tattoo when I'm finished with it..."

It was beginning to make sense now. Amaranth moved the island since Himitsu lived here now. Other versions of some of the people he knew came here from a dimension full of ninjas. Another version of Demi, of Amaranth, of even Alec Kane was here? He had to be some sort of bad ass, no question. Ghost was even aware of the little Holeman kid, with the red thing on his head. There was some sort of weird bond, some kind of connection between him and Amaranth. Ghost could feel nothing wrong with it, thus the reason he hadn't said anything so far. The Holeman kid was totally devoted to Amaranth, and Ghost could even feel that he loved her. It made him grin, and let him know that she would be fine without him following around in her shadow constantly.

In moving the island so close to Edge, she even created a phenomena similar to but not as deadly as the Dead Zone. To get around it, apparently one needed one of Amaranth's runes. "Alright," Ghost said, holding out his left arm and pointing to his forearm. "You can put mine here."

Chips crunched loudly like usual as Jr listened to Amaranth. It made sense to move the island since Himitsu gave up being Boss of Shinkai. It made sense to move the island close to home. There was some woman out there in Ground Zero, watching everything. Jr didn't feel like fighting in any wars or anything like that, so he hoped she just kept watching.

People came here from another dimension? That's who the kid with the Du-Rag is?...So Amaranth was a ninja named Mitsukai, and her and this blind kid were pals. He sounded alright, so Jr reminded himself not to jump the gun when he saw him. Others came here from another dimension, other versions of people he knew. One of them was another version of his own father, a ninja named Spook? That would make an interesting meet.

A baby Dead Zone. That was fine. It would probably make fights here less and less. The island was a tourist attraction of course; a bunch of blood and dead people on the beaches wasn't going to attract much of anything but freaks and cannibals. Couldn't have that.

Jr took off his Windbreaker and skin tight turtleneck to kneel and turn backwards next to Amaranth. "Here, put mine on my back," he asked.

Grinning she conjured up a rune in her hand, it hovered above her palm, glowing blue. The same rune she had given to Holeman. She looked to her father's forearm of his left arm and placed the rune against her, her hand closing over it for a moment. Like with Holeman the rune would cause no pain at all, and instead a gentle cool feeling. After a moment she removed her had leaving behind the jet black intricate tattoo looking rune.

She then turned towards her uncle and followed the same process; she made the rune appear once more and placed it on his back where he indicated he wanted it. She closed her hand over it for a moment, the rune leaving the cooling sensation once more before she removed her hand; likewise leaving the jet black tattoo looking design behind.

Sunset Island Rune:

The rune would do the same as it did with others; open up a two way connection between them that would allow them to tell where she was at all times and how she was doing, and vice versa. With the process completed she grinned more. "There! All done! They look cool! Oh! Something else I didn't mention, Demi opened up her own club called Zero Sum which she put behind Darkman Tower... she asked me to tell everyone. I heard it's a really nice place, with really good food."

Ghost watched his daughter perform her technique. Ghost didn't even know his own child was capable of doing such things. He was so behind. That's what happened when you spend however many years trapped in another dimension under an illusion while some creature drank your brains slowly out of your head with a straw. Ghost didn't feel like he needed to know everything his child was able to do though, he wanted to be surprised.

What she did didn't hurt, and left a cool mark behind on his skin. He didn't mind. Ghost had always thought about getting a tattoo of some kind, now he had one free of charge. Best of all, his daughter was the one who did it. Ghost rubbed his arm once she was done and nodded his head with a grin while he looked it over.

"Hmm. Interesting. I could already feel where you were and tell how you were doing without this. I guess this saves me the trouble of wasting energy, nice," Ghost said, then he looked toward Edge while hearing about Demi's club. "Sounds like an idea! Maybe I will go over there and check it out sometime. I kinda feel the need to be around here for now at the moment, but i'll get around to it sooner or later..."

Jr felt a cool sensation on his back that made him flinch up a second. When she was done, he stood again and returned his shirt to his back, then his windbreaker. It was also like sort of a radar: He could tell where Amaranth was, and even if she was alright. Zipping his windbreaker back up again he resumed eating potato chips, nodding to Amaranth, his usual way of saying thanks.

"A club?" Jr asked, his expression remaining the lazy one he always wore. "I don't think i'm old enough to get in yet. Maybe in a year or two...."
