Runes and Loopholes! [Holeman, or Invite][NR]

Amaranth had found herself seated on one of many of the swings that the park provided, though she wasn't swinging, instead she was far too busy thinking. A problem had presented itself since she Sunset Island had acquired the Baby Dead Zone; and that was simply that the people who worked for her, or people she trusted enough to care about, were likewise stumped by the phenomena. So, she had to find a way around that.

She was unaffected, but it hadn't seemed to spread farther than her; so instead she had to make something that would work. A rune was possibly the best route; it couldn't be stolen, and she could make it so that it couldn't be cloned by anyone but herself. She thought over the people she wanted to give it to: her family of course, Holeman, and several other people topped her list. Since Holeman was likely the closest she figured she would give it to him first.

"Holeman?", she said out loud as she snapped from her thoughts, figuring he'd be close enough to hear her more than likely, and if not she could always try telepathically.

"Yeah?"

He didn't want to seem like he was stalking her, so he'd keep his distance, but not wander too far away. There were many places and things he'd never seen or imagined before, and it all blew his mind. Those who saw the kid sitting on the cloud couldn't help but to stop and stare.

He'd been sitting above this park that Amaranth was in currently for a while. He couldn't stop thinking about the first time he'd kissed her. They were supposed to just be pretending but Holeman felt something. He wondered if she did too. When she called his name he jumped down off of the cloud to land nearby her.

She smiled as she saw him land nearby her. She found herself momentarily forgetting what it was she wanted to talk to him about as her mind went back to that kiss. After a second she shook her head and grinned like usual, clearing her thoughts. "I haven't really got a chance to mention it until now, but I put something on my island recently called the 'Baby Dead Zone'. What it does, at least for my island, is it stops people from being able to use super strong powers, or teleporting, or anything else."

She held open her hand, palm up, and in it slowly formed a small blue and very complex rune. "I created a rune to stop the affects from bothering certain people. But, it does other stuff too... like it will let me know where the person who has the rune on them is at all times, if they're in danger, and I can teleport to them too. It also works the opposite way as well.. Will you let me put it on you? It'll look like a tattoo when it's done, and you can pick where you'd want it, if you do..."

A baby dead zone. Sounded like something that prevented people from getting too reckless. It was a good idea. Amaranth described something next that would let some people get around the rules in place. Holeman didn't think he knew any techniques that would tear up alot of stuff besides his waterfall, but the idea of a tattoo sounded cool.

He stepped closer to her while rolling up his left sleeve. "Okay then, put it in my left arm?" he asked with a grin. "Sounds like a good idea, this way I won't have to look like some creepy kid stalker."

A few jobs were in, and a decent amount of credits were made in a short amount of time. It was with Amaranth best of all, and he'd even had his first kiss, from her. He couldn't wait to see what came next...

She nodded, watching him roll up his sleeve. This was going to make things a lot easier for both of them; especially because she would know if he needed her help and vice versa. When he was finished rolling his sleeve up she stood from her swing and carefully maneuvered the floating blue rune. She placed it up against his flesh, her hand closing over it briefly. It would be a completely painless process, the rune would leave behind nothing but a cool sensation for a few minutes.

Sunset Island Rune:

As she removed her hand the rune would be left behind on his skin; jet black in color like a normal tattoo. She could already feel the effects of the rune come to life; able to sense where he was on top of seeing him right in front of her; she could even feel that he was healthy and safe. She turned around and moved her ponytail off of her neck with a grin, revealing the master rune that was on the back of her neck. "See, there's where I put mine... " She turned back around. "Can you feel anything through the rune?", she had to be sure she had done it right.

Her creation sank into his skin and left a black mark. It didn't hurt at all. When she was done he looked it over for a long while, rubbing at his skin. It didn't feel any different to the touch, but with her process done he could now feel Amaranth, and tell that she was alright. On top of being able to speak into her mind this would make things very convenient.

He looked at the mark on the back of her neck while rolling his sleeve down again. "Yeah, this is a really cool magic trick," he said. "I can feel where you are, and I can even tell that you're in alright condition too. Nice..."

Holeman went down to one knee to fix at one of his sandals. "Hey, I know we were only supposed to be pretending when we were makin' out back in that cemetery, but honestly that was a lot of fun. I'm not against some more sometime if you're not...." He stood up again after fixing his sandals with a grin, adjusting his du-rag next....

Amaranth grinned, glad to hear that her rune had been a success; now all she had to do was put it on every other person she planned on giving them to. But, that could wait until later. Right now she wanted to just hang out with Holeman without having to worry about anything else. "Glad to hear it, that means it's working properly. Just don't try teleporting around or in Edge City... my grandad has his own Dead Zone, and I'm pretty sure bad things will happen if you do."

Her cheeks reddened as she blushed at his next words and a soft giggle escaped her. "I'm not against that idea at all... I thought that was fun, too." She sat herself back down on her swing, swaying the thing from side to side and still grinning. "So, I was thinking about visiting my grandad real quick to give him a rune if he wanted it, and then I was gonna head back tot he island... maybe spend some time on the beaches...."

Hmm. A baby Dead Zone, and a big Dead Zone. Holeman had several abilities that may conflict with the laws, but he didn't plan on using them unless he had to. Mostly, Holeman planned on focusing on using his chi to up his strength and speed, and getting in practice with his new eyes. They were working wonders. Holeman read texts given to him by his grandmother that detailed eventual blindness coming with the use of the eyes' advanced form. Holeman was experiencing no such side effects; his actual vision still clear as crystal. Perhaps it was because of Aisling's transplant, or possibly crossing between dimensions.

Her granddad must have been the man of this big city. Holeman didn't think he was good enough to meet him just yet. The thought of winding down and relaxing in the sun seemed awesome after fighting zombies and vampires. Soaking up the rays while being able to glimpse bountiful amounts of exposed female flesh.

"I'm all for that idea. In fact I think maybe i'll get a head start while you go meet your grand dad, yeah? Meet you in the sand in 1 hour." With that said the kid hopped upon a newly made storm cloud and lifted off, leaving behind a purple vapor trail..

Amaranth watched him speed off on his cloud and grinned before she looked towards the direction of Darkman Tower. It would take her no time at all to reach it, that much she knew. So, she jumped off of her swing and walked somewhat down the path before she took off into the sky, her cloak billowing behind her as she did so.

She landed on the roof of Darkman Tower, wondering if her grandfather was in his office like he always was, or somewhere else. She would give him the rune if he wanted it, and then she'd be on her way to the beach; and to spending time with Holeman on the beach. They had done a lot of work after all, and deserved the break.
