Zombies?

Yup, zombies. That was what she was currently looking at from her perch on one of the many factories in the area. She'd been flying around at random when she had heard some strange moaning and groaning sounds, which had made her think that someone might've been hurt. But nope, well.. sort of, one of the zombies did have a broken broom handle through its head, and was flopping around on the ground like a fish out of water, but she didn't care about one of the undead being harmed.

She had almost got up and just kept flying when she had heard bangs and calls for help coming from one of the warehouses. It looked like she was going to have to handle all of these zombies by herself... or would she? She assumed Holeman was nearby, so for a moment she concentrated, and then telepathically called out, "Holeman... you up for slaughtering some zombies over by the factories? There's a lot, sounds like someone's trapped inside one of the buildings too.."

She pushed her black bangs out of her face while she waited for a response, glancing down at the outfit she still had on from the last job they had done... she just hoped she didn't end up being scratched or bitten by one of those things - her immunity would keep her from turning into one, but... torn up clothes didn't look too nice.

"Sure!" he said with his mouth, from below her feet, where he'd been sitting on his cloud beneath the ledge for the last several minutes. He didn't want to lose track of Amaranth, so he'd followed her. He thought maybe she'd noticed him, as he was a hard sight to miss, but maybe he had been wrong? "Zombies, I saw this job over at that dirty place... the guy in there stinks. Bad. He smells like garbage, old food and under arm. A real nasty combination..."

Holeman rose upwards somewhat, knowing all about this job. He almost took it himself, but he didn't want to try doing something like this with infected undead walking around alone. Infected people took over this district. Survivors were located in random places. There was a secret lab (not so secret anymore though) under the nuclear power plant, and they created an antidote. All sounded like fun to be honest. Holeman was all about rescuing innocents.

Holeman put his arms out in front of him with a comical look on his face. "Uuuuurrroooooggghhh, zzzoommmbiiieeeee, bbrraaaiiinnss....." he said, then he coughed several times. "Eww. Brains taste nasty, right? I couldn't ever imagine being a monster that ate other people, no way. I'd rather eat dirt and leaves off of trees. Belly button!"

An index finger poked the dimple of her midriff, expecting her usual giggling reaction. He turned and looked at the factory district, noticing much movement. Most of the people down there weren't alive anymore, but that didn't stop them from moving around and trying to eat people anyway... "So how do you want to play this?"

She blinked as she heard Holeman's verbal reply; she had figured he was floating around somewhere, no pun intended, but she hadn't realized how close he actually was until she heard his response. A grin spread across her face as she looked down over the ledge at him, listening to him speak. Her nose wrinkled slightly at the thought of how bad that man must've stunk; she made a mental note to avoid him... or otherwise she was likely going to end up commenting about taking a bath... maybe she'd slip him some soap or something and he'd get the hint?

She watched him rise up higher and do his imitation of a zombie before giggling, which only continued after she was poked in the belly. She was incredibly ticklish, just as Mitsukai had been, and she covered her stomach with her arms, her shoulders shaking in laughter. "Gah, no tickling.. I won't be able to focus.", she said, laughing.

She looked to the zombies and thought about one of many plans. "Hm... well, we could always start in the middle.. you take half I take half... cut through them until we get those people free.... Might be a cure around here somewhere." She looked over to Holeman, grinning in anticipation. "Unless you have another idea?"

It didn't matter to her, so long as the people got rescued and the zombies were either stopped or killed. Besides... rotting flesh stunk, and these zombies were really starting to foul up the air a great deal.

"Yeah, I got an idea," he said. He rubbed his hands together with a mischievous grin of his own, thinking of an ability he learned but never got to use back home. This grin was also because Amaranth was ticklish just the same way Mitsukai was. "Beating through all of those things will just leave us worn out and covered in Zombie goo. Let me clean up these guys all in one shot and then we can go inside the secret place for survivors and the cure."

The cloud quickly took him downward toward the ground, his Du-Rag tails above his head while he sank. The big purple cloud stopped before he got too close to the sea of undead. They all looked up at him with lifeless blue colored eyeballs and reached for him; some of the hands missing fingers and caked up with the meat and red stuff of their last victims. The smell was just overwhelming. Chokes and moaning sounds came from their mouths...

Holeman stood up and quickly formed a set of hand signs. He rose up his right arm, and behind him rose up a huge column of water. When Holeman let his arm fall forward in front of him like a tree falling, the column of water fell the same way, impacting the ground with a huge splash, colored white and pink from all the blood. Rivers of water rushed through the factories district, washing everyone and everything in its path aside. The water level could be seen sinking as time passed.

Great Waterfall Technique:

"Wow! Never got to use that before," he said, sitting on his cloud again. The water had either knocked over, eliminated, or incapacitated every one of the zombies that once crowded the street below, and several other streets in the vicinity. Some of the zombies that had survived below wiggled and flailed in the zombie soup. "Hope this doesn't leave too much of a mess!"

Wondering what he was going to do to handle all of those zombies at once she watched carefully; figuring it was going to be a show definitely worth watching. She watched the wave of water seemingly come out of nowhere, and then watched as it slammed into the all of the zombies; quickly making a bath of all of them. She laughed softly. "Niiiice! Zombie soup... ", she said, laughing again.

"I don't think people will mind the mess so much, so long as they don't get mauled by the zombies anymore." Or at least that was how she thought about it; if she was in their position she would much rather have to worry about cleaning up a mess of zombie soup compared to actually having to worry about being mauled or eaten by one; or worse, turned into one.

"So, where's this secret place with the cure and the survivors in it?", she couldn't see anything, at least not that she thought she was seeing anyway. There were plenty of warehouses and factories around; but if it was going to be a secret place than she expected it to be well - some place secret. She didn't know how long the survivors had been stuck where they were, but she was sure that they would be glad to get out when her and Holeman got to them. She was quickly able to assume that it was likely hidden underground, or underneath of something else. She created her own little storm cloud and floated down to Holeman, floating beside him as she looked around.

Holeman motioned for Amaranth to follow him as he began heading toward a big group of buildings in front of two large nuclear cooling towers. He flew over the walls and the checkpoints people had to use to get inside, then headed for the nearest entrance. Hopping off of his cloud and making it disperse, he entered inside of the large complex.

There weren't many zombies still standing after his water attack, so sneaking through the factory to find the huge room with the big locked door where the scientists and the survivors were hiding wasn't difficult at all. There were two zombies standing by this door, zombies that seemed different than the rest outside. Both of them looked strong and formidable. They had hands with what looked like razors for fingers. Their large drooling mouths which dripped blood and drool on the floor in front of them looked big enough to bite off another person's head. A gurgling sound came from their mouths at the appearance of the two children while lowering their stances to the floor, indicating that they were about to attack.

Holeman crouched a little himself and positioned his hands as if he were firing one of his Hadokens. Instead, a large pink ring appeared around his hands, before 10 pink beams were shot from his palms. All 10 quickly homed in on their target, slamming into the advanced zombie one at a time in a rapid fashion. Each exploded on contact, creating a pink explosion, and with all of them going off rapidly it looked like fireworks surrounding the thing.

Laser Circus:

In the meantime, Holeman winded his arms back to his right side while the Chi in his hands suddenly turned blue. With the advanced Zombie in a stunned state, it was open to be hit with Holeman's trademark move, the Hadoken. The Advanced Zombie was knocked backwards into the big locked door and blown to smoking blue pieces.

While this was going on, Holeman was sure that Amaranth would be able to handle the other Advanced Zombie, which decided to lunge at her while this was going on...

The move that Holeman did was rather distracting, and something she likely could have watched for an extended period of time; at least, that would have been the case had she not taken note of the other zombie lurking closer in an attempt to attack. Her focus shifted, figuring that Holeman could easily take care of that other zombie while she took care of this one.

She backed away, drawing the thing after herself, her grin growing upon her face. Her hand moved to her hip as she continued to back away, making sure there was ample distance between herself and Holeman - not wanting to risk cutting him as an idea came to her head. After a moment she stopped, and the zombie paused as well. The thing stared at her for a moment, obviously confused as to her sudden halt in movement, but that confusion didn't last for long as it quickly lunged to her. Which, is exactly what Amaranth had been waiting for.

Her hand latched onto the hook, instantly, and removed her weapon. The thing extended into full scythe mode before the zombie even could dream of reaching her. Her form lowered and she twirled, sending her scythe out. The razor sharp blade sliced into the zombie's knees first, once, twice, and then a third time as she rapidly spun, cutting completely clean through on the third twirl as the damn creature continued to move towards her despite the pain it must have been feeling; if zombies could feel pain that was.

As she kept twirling her scythe moved upwards, as slice after slice was rapidly cut into the undead creation. Again and again she went until the entire zombie's form, or what was left of it actually, fell backwards with a dull but wet thud: the zombie having been carved into lunch meat. The whole attack had taken less than ten or so seconds, but it looked like someone had spent hours carving the zombie up like a Christmas dinner.

She moved over to Holeman, keeping her scythe extended in the chance that another zombie showed up, or some other form of trouble. The shaft of the weapon rested against her shoulder, keeping it safe from accidentally injuring anyone. "...This is beginning to feel all too familiar...", she said, grinning.

Someone was watching on the cameras inside of the room. There were the loud sounds of locks disengaging, then a creak sound as the big door in the room opened. People began to exit and thank the kids. Others in special suits and masks holding special equipment began running to the exits to start administering the cure.

"We'll handle it from here kids, you two are amazing," said the commander, shaking Holeman's and Amaranth's hands. "You kids fought through all of those things to get in here? You have to be brave to be so young. Go on and get out of here, leave the rest to us."

"Thanks!" said Holeman. He looked at Amaranth with a grin and shrugged his shoulders. "Another job well done huh?" It was great to be doing this kind of stuff with her again, and looked forward to doing more.

Amaranth shook the hand offered to her and after everyone had wandered away enough to where they wouldn't be in danger of her weapon she flipped the switch, causing it to collapse in on itself into its usual form. She hooked it back onto her hip and then looked towards Holeman, grinning.

"Yup, and my grandad should be real happy now that those zombies aren't an issue for a while." This definitely felt like the good old days, and she was rather happy to feel that way too - plus, all of these jobs were more chances to hang out with Holman.

Time would only tell what would be in store for them next time...
