Is someone grilling?![Easy Job][Holeman, or Invite][NR]

Amaranth had been just fooling around before heading back to her island; soaring through the sky with her red cape billowing behind her. She really, other than tracking down that giant sea serpent if it actually existed, had nothing really to do as far as a job or anything needing done. She was far less confused now, and was more blowing off steam than anything else while her brain kept putting things together. Her mind had fully merged now with Mitsukai's, but there was more now to contend with; like the fact that Nanalie and Spook had shown up, and that her aunt, Demi, was now Aisling....

So, as she flew around Edge she found herself flying over the suburban district. At first she was about to turn around and just head back to her island... but then something in the distance caught her attention... smoke. It was too warm for someone to have a fireplace lit, so she doubted it was coming from a chimney, and it was a tad bit too much smoke to be coming from someone out back grilling.

So, she changed directions, heading towards the smoke instead, just to have her curiosity appeased...

The suburbs. He didn't know what that word meant but there were a bunch of houses. He could see families and kids. This was where most people lived, then. The purple cloud carried the child over the houses while he stared about, fascinated. Where he came from, people lived in houses made of mud and clay, but these homes were unlike anything he'd seen before. He attracted the eyes of many as he floated through the Suburban District on his way toward Downtown.

His highly sensitive nose picked up on the smell of smoke, and his radar quickly zoomed in on it's origin. One of the houses was on fire, and someone was trapped inside. Holeman knew he'd feel absolutely horrible later if he just flew off without doing something when he was well capable of rescue and putting the fire out. He changed directions and began heading toward where black smoke trailed upwards into the blue, and there was sure to be plenty of commotion. He'd dealt with all of that many times before...

As Amaranth moved closer to the house her enhanced senses helped her more easily tell what was going on; no one was grilling - the house was on fire and from what she could hear there was at least one person trapped inside, if she had to guess she would safely bet it was the top floor that the person was trapped in, too.

As she neared she noticed Holeman's own arrival, floating along on that storm cloud of his. She couldn't help but grin, this was going to be just like old times, even though this was the first she had done something like this with him in this dimension. "Haha, we both apparently had the same idea. I can hear someone inside, but I can't tell where..."

An idea formed in her head, a way to save the female she could hear trapped inside and the house before it took too much damage. She knew Holeman would be able to locate the girl if he was capable of what he had been in the other dimension where as she would be running blind so to speak, especially if the smoke had reached the top most floors. "If you can get the girl I can try and get the fire out, I have an idea on how to do it."

She would simply take control of the fire with her own pyrokinesis, if the plan worked they'd have the day saved like they always did. She dropped to the ground, landing lightly, as she prepared to get to work.

"Fancy meeting you here!" Holeman said with his own grin. Saved him the trouble of having to find her in this big city. It looked like old times, saving the day. There were no baddies yet, but this was no different. "Yeah, I see the girl up there, i'll get her out."

He changed directions and moved the cloud up toward the third floor window where the girl was screaming for help. She looked at Holeman weirdly when he hovered nearby the window. Holeman just grinned at her. "Come on, i'll get you out!"

"How-how are you...what-what--" was all the girl could say.

"It's a complicated process, combining lightning with water and all that. Can we talk about it on the ground though? This place can go at any minute y'know..."

The girl crawled out of the window with assistance from Holeman and got onto the cloud with him, reluctantly. Once she saw that she could actually get onto it she was more willing to ride it to the ground. Holeman took the cloud away from the house and across the street where a crowd was gathered to allow the girl to jump off.

Holeman told her a little about Raiton, the fusion of water and electricity. The others standing around listened to him too. Holeman kept his eyes on Amaranth the whole time to make sure she didn't get injured, prepared to heal her should she get burned, or worse.

While Holeman went to rescue the female trapped upstairs Amaranth got to work on the fire. It took but a moment for her to focus in on the fire and begin to reign in the flames, using pyrokinesis to do the task. She started first with suppressing the flames on the walls, and then began to work on the ones on the floor, helping to keep the structure from falling in.

It took a few minutes, but eventually the flames were all safely extinguished; the hardest ones being the ones fueled by the gas that had been used by the would-be arsonist. "There, finished."

She turned, a grin on her face as she allowed herself to focus on the crowd that had grown; though her focus was more on Holeman to ensure he was okay, along with the girl he had rescued. "Just like back in the village, eh? Except... no serial killers and stuff." She chuckled, pushing her cape back behind herself.

Holeman decided that he'd started telling these people standing around a little too much, so he began to answer in riddles and codes. When Amaranth put the fires out, Holeman went behind her with "Soaker" to make sure there was no chance of the blaze sparking up again. When he was finished the whole first floor was totally drenched.

Soaker:

"Yep! Just like old times," he answered with a grin. "But I think this might just be the beginning of something new, eh? I feel a lot stronger here than I did back home, I don't know what it is! I don't get worn out as fast." He opened and closed his hands several times, his small frame glowing with an aura of blue chakra. It rose off of him like smoke, attracting more eyes. "Hey, you wanna go do something else? It's been a while since I was all active like this. If not it's cool! Chillaxing somewhere is a good idea too!"

Her grin spread further and she nodded as her form levitated slightly into the air; just a foot or two off of the ground. Her cape began to billow softly in the constant wind. "Sure! I'm up for something something else, that was kind of fun. What do you have in mind?" There was a lot around that needed done, she knew that much, and by doing things around Edge she was also helping her grandfather too, which was nice as well.

Plus, it would give her more time to talk to Holeman, seeing that she hadn't had a chance to tell him yet about the other people that she knew had made it through from that dimension to this one. "Plus, I've got some stuff to tell you, stuff I'm sure you'll like hearing!", she said excitedly.
