Finding What I Lost! [Ghost, or Invite][NR]

A sigh escaped Emiko's lips as she remained seated upon the large out crop of rocks and boulders, having positioned herself upon the second to tallest one, the tallest one serving as a back rest as she leaned against it. She had spent the past two hours seated like this; left leg out straight in front of her, bent slightly as it rested against the boulder that slopped downwards beneath her, while her right leg was bent at the knee, her right arm resting on top of it, straight out towards the ocean.

She could see many children playing with their families in the distance and found herself wondering, as she often did when alone, where her family was and if they had made it here or not. She had no idea who she would ask for that kind of information, or where to start: except perhaps maybe the Boss of the island herself? But, where would she be?

She had even contemplated perhaps finding the guy with the red cape who had asked her to knock off the sand arm wrestling since she had been startling some of the tourists - something she hadn't noticed since she was having too much fun, and something she hadn't done since then. The last thing she wanted was to cause trouble for herself after all.

She snapped from her thoughts as she focused on the sun which was quickly setting on the island paradise - that meant it was going to be slightly colder, not too bad, but enough to definitely remind her of the super hot days and cold nights of the desert home she had come from.

"Bleah... I need to find someone who can answer my questions," she said softly, talking to herself, though she hadn't bothered to yet look around and see if anyone was around to hear her or not. She already likely looked crazy anyway, especially with the gourd made of sand nearby that she always wore strapped to her back.

Strange times. A kid from another dimension started following Amaranth around, and the kid was a ninja with creepy looking eyes. He was fiercely loyal to his daughter, so that meant he didn't have to follow around in her shadow as much. Amaranth was a genius, even smarter than he was, but for some reason she decided to attend school over in Edge. In the safety of Alec's territory there would be no cause for any concerns, and the ones that did rise would quickly get dealt with, he knew this...

He wasn't informed on the new editions though, and he was left wondering who that girl was that created those arms of sand. If she could pull off techniques like that she had to be pretty formidable. Did Amaranth invite her here? Why wasn't Ghost kept in the loop of things?

At the moment Ghost was hovering several feet above the beach with his arms folded and his goggles over his eyes. His large crimson red cape moved about behind him as if it had a life all its own. He used Earth Manipulation to sculpt a large accurate sand castle with courtyards, walkways and even miniature people. Waters from the surf spilled down into small pathways between the sidewalks and walkways. Alot of people were standing around watching the sand people living their little sand lives, staring in total fascination. Ghost didn't consider himself a God or anything of the sort, he was just playing in the sand like anyone enjoying a hot day on a beach in paradise...

Earth Manipulation:

Emiko could see a decent gathering of some of the islands tourists around what she saw was a man with a red cape. She recognized him from the other day and slowly stood herself up on the boulder she'd been sitting on. The extra height advantage helped; and she could see a sand castle nearby, though she couldn't see all of the details.

Figuring she might as well move closer, and figuring that he likely might be able to answer some of her questions seeing as he seemed well informed of what went on on Sunset Island, she jumped down off of the boulder and hit the ground softly. She reached up and grabbed her gourd, reconnecting it to her back with the long red sash. She could hear the sand already swirling around inside of its own accord as if waiting for a purpose to use itself to come along.

She glanced back to ensure she wasn't forgetting anything and then walked over, keeping her steps slow and cautious. She didn't want to seem imposing, and her dark circled eyes from a lack of sleep, and overall formidable (or so she assumed) appearance, didn't seem to help any. Or perhaps, she was simply stuck back in the mentality of the other dimension; where her clan was considered dangerous, evil, and other than when being used as killing machines, they were to be avoided.

When she got closer she could see that there were little sand people that were moving around and she couldn't help but smile a little bit. She turned her gray gaze to the man with the cape and offered a polite nod her head. "Hello, again. Did you build this?" She turned her gaze back to the castle, taking in more of its detail as she waited for an answer. Her arms folded loosely across her chest as her stance shifted into a more relaxed one, weight leaning more on the left side of her body at the moment.

A Godzilla-like monster that came up to about Ghost's knee rose from the waters and began to march toward the little sandcastle city. The little sand residents began to flee in terror. Kids watching started laughing and getting all into the sand on sand violence. The monster began to tear through the little sand community, destroying the sand houses, killing the residents and eating several as well. The children watching were loud with excitement and laughter.

"Yeah, just playin' in the sand," Ghost said. "...The kid is always busy with this and that, so I don't get kept in the loop of things as much. Are you new here? Who are you if you don't mind me asking?... My name's...Well, just call me Ghost. Amaranth, the girl with the red cape similar to mine, she's my daughter, she runs the place."

Emiko watched as the sand monster he had created went and reigned terror on the little sand people. She couldn't help but chuckle as she watched for a moment before switching her attention back to the man who had called himself Ghost. She nodded a bit and then sighed softly, figuring how long her short story really was.

"Well, my answer to that is complicated, and likely one you won't believe... But, seeing as you can do things like me it shouldn't be too far of a stretch. My name is Emiko, Emiko Sabure. And well... I come from another dimension. A dimension filled with shinobi." She lifted her head, scratching at her head as she did so as she thought of what else to say. "I don't know exactly how I got here per say, I just found myself sort've sucked here... Anyway, I'm looking for my little sister."

She wished she had a picture for a moment, and instead manipulated the sand at her feet while not disturbing his picture: she formed an outlined drawing in the wet sand of her sister Mitsukai's face. "She looks like that... her name is Mitsukai. She's eleven. Maybe you've seen her... she runs around with a giant scythe, but normally it's in this red box shape..."

She looked up from the drawing she had made to Ghost, hoping that he would have some idea where her sister was if she was indeed on this island. While she did have other family from the other dimension her little sister took top priority; Mitsukai had never done her wrong, despite her clan's scary and violent reputation, so her safety was what mattered most.

Sand Manipulation:

Wait a minute... that was Amaranth. Or, this dimension's version of Mitsukai, the girl that fused with Amaranth when the kid Holeman showed up here. Ghost landed on the ground again while the sand monster rampaged through the little sand community still, to the entertainment of the kids and teens standing around watching.

So others managed to make it out of that other world? Ghost didn't catch the whole story, but he came to understand that the gods over there hit the reset button on everything, and several were made aware of this beforehand, and managed to get out. Ghost ran a hand through his wild black hair after taking off his goggles. "Well now...I guess it isn't so hard to believe after all. It seems you are not the first to come out of that dimension of yours, several other Shinobi made it out too, both in physical and spiritual form. A guy named Spook from a village named Konoha is here, A kid named Holeman who first lived in a village named... Youku--something? I guess he had a falling out with some guy named Luca or something, so he moved to Konoha."

Ghost scratched his chin. The sand monster was still tearing down the sand buildings and crushing the little lives out of the sand residents. "Some of the people who came here in spirit forms, they fused with the versions of themselves here, like a woman named Aisling, she fused with an old friend of mine named Demi. Mitsukai, your sister, fused with my daughter Amaranth. Her and Holeman stick together now like glue, do you know him? Short dude, wears this red thing over his eyes? I guess they were real close back in your world. They enrolled in school, over in Edge," Ghost jerked a thumb over toward the huge city across the river. "They might be over there right now, or they could be around here somewhere...."

Ghost looked confused. What did this mean? Did Ghost now have 2 kids? Was this some sort of strange dream? How many times did Destiny take advantage of him before he got sucked off into that other dimension??

Emiko glanced back over to the monster that was on its rampage as she listened to Ghost speak, saving every word for memory as she did so. She was glad to hear that she wasn't the only one who had made it over from the other dimension, but hearing that some of them had arrived via spirits of some kind caused her to shudder slightly; she hoped that only ones who had been alive had been brought over like that... The last thing that she wanted was to run into some of the Sabure elders that her brother had murdered after her presumed death.

She turned her gray gaze back onto Ghost at the mention of Holeman and Luca; she had heard all about that, and had been on her way to go see and talk to Mitsukai when she found herself being sucked off into lala land and into another dimension.

"So...the Hokage is fused with a girl named Demi, my sister's best friend came here.... and my sister is.... This is a lot to take in." She raised her right hand, pinching at the bridge of her nose for a moment while giving her brain a chance to process everything. "Does... Does Mitsukai remember everything from her life in the other dimension? Like, would she remember me?", she asked after a moment, her voice hesitant. She didn't know what she'd do if her sister didn't remember her, or her life as a ninja.

The little sand people formed an army and began to fight the monster back with little sand tanks and sand airplanes. There were many little sand explosions. The sand army fired their sand guns at the creature, and if one looked hard enough they could see the little sand bullets and bombs hitting the monster. The kids standing around started to get louder as they became more excited.

"I don't see why not," Ghost answered. "She seemed to know exactly who Holeman was, why wouldn't she remember family?" Ghost rubbed his eyes from having his goggles on. He began to wonder if anyone else would escape through that doorway that Alec left open. Ghost was still getting used to having just 1 child, he didn't know how to handle having two. He didn't expect this new female to start looking up to him as a father or anything. This whole dimension thing and fusing with other versions of yourself was starting to give him a headache, probably from being trapped in another dimension for years himself. He didn't want to think about any of it; all he wanted was to play in the sand and enjoy the weather...

Emiko watched the sand army fight back against the sand monster as her mind wandered. It was nice to know that it was highly likely that Mitsukai, or well Amaranth, would know who she was. But all of this? It was still confusing. Her sister was here and yet not. The same and yet different. It was all very chaotic. She liked things simple and easy and to the point, but this was going to be anything but.

"Ugh, this is all really weird... " She scratched at her head, before pushing her red hair back and out of her face. Arms folded across her chest once more as a sigh escaped her. "I suppose I should wait around for her to get back and see if she remembers me, and maybe try and figure this all out some more... I just hope that Luca doesn't end up coming over to. It'll get strange then... and likely violent." She could still remember well all of the rumors that had reached her ears; including her own small issues she still harbored deep down. But then again, playing tug of war with Death himself would do that to someone.

Hmm... on second thought, perhaps she should go looking for Amaranth before anything else weird happens. "Do you think Amaranth will be over there long? I'd rather find out sooner then later..."

Luca... The kid Holeman told Ghost a story about the guy the other night. Holeman, since he arrived here in this dimension, was always in a cheerful mood, and always seemed to have a grin on his face, but when the kid spoke of Mitsukai's older brother is when Ghost first saw the boy frown. His voice was tinted with rage. Holeman had a genuine dislike of the man Luca, and were he to show up here next? Well... Amaranth's little island would be the scene of more violence and bloodshed, that much was for certain.

"They'll be along sooner or later," replied Ghost. He waved his arm, dispersing all of the sand and causing it to settle back into the beach as if nothing had ever happened, to the disappointment of the spectating children. "School should be letting out over there shortly. Her's and Amaranth's memories fused into one, and her appearance even changed a little. Mitsukai had black hair and pale colored skin, right? No need to be worried, i'm 100% positive she'll know who you are as soon as she sees you..."
