The Deal with PC [Ghost, or Open][NR]

Destiny landed on the beaches of Sunset Island rather quickly after having left Edge City. She placed her little sister, Artemis, onto the sandy beach and watched as she wandered towards the water. Destiny looked around the island with her chakra radar while also paying close attention to her little sister: who at the moment was following the water as it receded into the ocean and then running from it when it came back in again, all while laughing and giggling as if it were some sort of game.

She had figured Artemis would enjoy the beach and was glad to see she was... especially since Destiny was here for a far different reason than having fun. Amaranth had been in Pacific City for a little while now and Destiny had wanted to make sure that Ghost and Holeman were informed of the situation. She trusted Amaranth not to get in over her head and bail out if things got too bad, but her family and friends still had all of the right in the world to know of the situation she was currently in.

"Ghost? Holeman?", she called out before waiting quietly.. Artemis still chasing the water and then running from it while giggling. Destiny reached up and adjusted the black cloth she kept over her eyes; pulling her once more red hair back and out of her face before adjusting the vest she wore over top of the gray and white shirt underneath.

Ghost was on the other side of the island, manipulating a battle between a creature made of water, and another creature made of sand. There many kids and teenagers standing around being entertained by the Godzilla-like battle. Ghost took care not to bring the battle too close to them, at the risk of someone getting hurt.

Even from this side of the island, Ghost's Enhanced Hearing picked up on Destiny's voice as if he were standing right next to her. Enhanced Sight allowed him to see her on the beach, along with a little girl that looked somewhat like Alec. He looked back at his “monsters” and knew that they'd battle for a little while longer before the Water monster was absorbed by the sand monster.

So, he took off, leaving behind a big cloud of sand. His red cape flapping in the winds behind him, Ghost sped across the island in several seconds and slowed as he reached the resort areas. He landed nearby Dez and the child. ”Hey... Don't tell me we had another kid that I didn't know about. Did you take advantage of me again? If this keeps up i'm afraid i'm gonna have to press charges...”

Ghost was joking of course. The girl had to be Alec's new kid, born over in that ninja dimension.

Destiny spotted Ghost through her chakra radar as well as a bunch of kids who were watching two monsters, one made out of sand and the other made out of water, do battle: she didn't want to break up the party but what she needed to tell him was important and she wasn't quite sure how he was going to handle hearing that Amaranth was off in some dangerous place like she was. She then watched as he sped off in her general direction to arrive seconds later. She grinned and laughed at what he said, shaking her head no while doing so. "Nah, this is my new baby sister Artemis. I wanted to talk to you about what's been going on out there in Pacific City, and she wanted to come along so she could see the beach." Destiny then lowered her voice some in an attempt to keep Artemis from hearing the rest, "Plus, with everything going on, it's best she stays as distracted as possible."

Artemis continued to chase the water as it receded towards the ocean and then run away when it started to come back up the shore: all while thinking it was chasing her which caused her to giggle continuously.

Destiny continued to keep a very close eye on her sister as she dodged the water repeatedly. "How much do you know about the situation over in Pacific City right now?", she asked Ghost, figuring there was no point in repeating information he already knew.

”Ahh, another Kane! Another violent psychopath in the making like you and your father and your brother and sisters, huh?”

Ghost made sure not to say that too loud. He had all kinds of incredible powers at his disposal, but a baby Kane? There was no telling what the kid was capable of. She seemed plenty content in playing with the surf, so that was alright for now.

Dez mentioned Pacific City. Yes, even Ghost knew what was up with that place. 5 years lounging around in paradise tended to get just a little boring with no action or assholes attempting to abduct and rape little girls; assholes that deserved to be turned inside out and shown what their organs looked like with their own eyes in alphabetical order.

Ghost folded his arms and looked upwards as he started to think; his cape flapping about behind him in the beach breeze. ”Pacific City, hmm... Built by these brain dudes jealous of Alec and his dad, the tall silly guy with the glasses, Darkman.” As Ghost talked, he shape shifted into various scientists that he'd seen pictures of on the news and in the papers., ending with Alec and Darkman. ”Something going on behind the scenes? The brains tried to make some kinda... miracle in a syringe, so they could be like Alec and Darkman? An accident... and soon the whole city goes all Resident Evil, State of Decay.”

Shapeshifting:

Ghost shape shifted into a zombie and shuffled towards Destiny with his arms in front of him. He turned back into himself once he was close. ”Yeah, I know what's going on out there, can't really be helped. The place is surrounded by something like that Dead Zone Alec has over Edge, and that dark place over there.” Ghost jerked a thumb backwards towards Makkura. ”Why?”

Destiny watched as Ghost changed into the people he spoke of while explaining what he knew about what was going on in Pacific City, ending with a zombie form before transforming back into himself at the end. Destiny nodded to what Ghost said; agreeing with all of the information that he knew while wondering how he was going to take what she was about to tell him. Continuing to keep a close eye on Artemis she started to explain...

"Well, somehow my father ended up over there in all of that mess. Junior sent the Vigilante over there and get him out since like you said powers can't be used over there but V has all of that technology at his disposal. However, when V got over there my dad refused to leave: so V made himself my dad's sidekick. While that was going on I, who had made a little pet zombie over in the other world, finished a cure that would save any of them should they be bitten or scratched by those decaying fiends."

"I went and delivered the cure as quickly as I could to Junior but by then it was getting dark out and the risk of exposing my dad and V's position was too great. So, I left it with Junior and after my brother helped Artemis get her wings and halo early I went to teach her how to fly. While I was off doing that Amaranth showed up, as did Cala's sister Devon whose got really interested in technology. Devon had made some boots that basically let whoever is wearing them fly, as well as sunglasses that are infrared and let Devon watch everything through Amaranth's eyes so long as she has them on sort of like a techno guardian angel... Amaranth took it upon herself to take the cure over there herself. When my father tried to get her to leave she refused; claiming that with her gunscythe and everything she learned over in the other world she was more than prepared for the situation."

Artemis wandered over to her, having picked up a small starfish that had washed up with the surf. "Now, Amaranth's been being careful: and my brother put a feather inside of her that would allow her to resurrect should anything happen. Plus, my dad gave V specific instructions that if things got too nasty over there he was to bail out with Amaranth no questions asked. But, I just wanted to let you know..." She picked up Artemis at that point as her pant leg was being tugged on and smiled at her and the pink colored starfish she had found.

So Alec was over there in zombie land. Jr sent that super hero guy over there to rescue him, but Alec didn't want to leave. Dez came up with a cure to the infection, but it was too dark to deliver it to them. While Dez took Artemis to learn to fly, since she'd gotten wings and a halo far earlier than she should have for some reason, Amaranth went to see what was up.

However, with the revelation that Devon, the crazy girl Cala's sister, gave Amaranth some freshly developed technology and she'd gone over there to deliver the cure, the silly look melted off of his face and was replaced with a serious expression. ”Wait... so Amaranth is over there in zombie land? You LET her go over there in all of that madness? What the fu--” Ghost had to catch himself because he didn't want to say bad words in front of Artemis.

He rubbed his eyes and suddenly became worried. The sand around him began to stir and move. If Alec wanted to stay over there, the guy was a One Man Army, powers or no powers, but Amaranth was just a girl. ”Why did you let her go over there with things as bad as they are? What if something happens to her? Is that something you're prepared to have on your conscience?...I---I have to---I have to go get her.”

As Ghost went into a crouch and prepared to blast off, the sand around him rippled away from him like waves in water. He had to go get his daughter out of that nightmare...

"I didn't let her do anything: I had no idea she was gone until it was too late. I found out about all of this later, and then came to tell you.", she responded with a sigh. She was frustrated by this whole mess: she could understand why Amaranth wanted to help and knew that with her daughters skills she would likely be alright... but, she was still over there in that infested world, and that wasn't okay. But, it was better that Ghost go instead of her: he'd have a better chance at surviving over there than Dez would.

"Just get her back.. I don't like her being over there anymore than you do... but I don't have nearly as much of a chance as you do to survive over there. I've relied on my powers too much and not enough on physical skill." The truth hurt, but she was willing to admit it in a situation like this. "I'll be at the Tower..."

Destiny scooped up Artemis and took off back across the water and back towards Edge...
