[Speed][Demi, Himitsu, Invite][NR]

Alec was standing on the Heliport on the roof. It was a warm cloudless summer-like day. He stared at the metal floor, the big yellow "H" in the center and remembered many fights taking place here. Mostly it was between Jr and Serenity, or Jr and his mother. A couple of serious fights happened on the roof, such as a fight against a ninja that could turn things into crystal.

Better get this out of the way. Demi and Himitsu would both need to get a grip on their speed. He'd show both of them the basics, the rest he knew that they would catch on to themselves, to forge their own individual style.

Demi, Himitsu, meet me on the roof of the Tower, on the Heliport. Need you show you a few things, no time like the present.

Telepathy:

The telepathic message was sent, so upon the roof Alec stood, his hands in his pockets, his coat billowing beside him in the winds.

Demi had been on her way out of her suite door to go to Zero Sum when she heard the mental summons from Alec. She blinked and then headed for the stairs that would lead her up to where she needed to go. Thankfully, she was dressed in black jeans and a black band t-shirt which was decoratively ripped on the sleeves and back and across the lower half of the front; compared to a skirt or whatever else she might've been wearing that would've caused issues standing on the windy heliport.

She took the stairs two at a time, purple laced sneakers making hardly no noise at all against the steps as she did so, and came out on the roof soon enough. She glanced around as she walked over to Alec. She wondered what he had to show them, especially on such a short notice; but then remembered what he had said back in Zero Sum, and a grin spread across her face. "What's up?"

She looked out with her silvery gaze over the city; the view was always the best from up here. She could even see over to the newly named Sunset Island. She made a mental note to go spend some time over there when she got the chance...

Again, she had been down in the lobby of Darkman Tower, reading magazine after magazine... It was a way for her to entertain herself until Either Alec or Amaranth called for her... She had spoken to Alec Kane early, he had seemed intimidating, or maybe that had just been in her head... She usually found most things frightening or intimidating to some extent. Hey, getting beaten constantly for no reason did that to someone... Wasn't like she had been raised to act docile, timid and fragile 'like a proper lady' or anything.

Today she was wearing a proper fighting Ao Dai, it's top white, the crimson pants slightly baggy and going down to her ankles. The Ao Dai split at the hips, it covered her entire torso, coming and inch up her neck and covering all the way down to her wrists. The outfit was made from a stretchy and breathable material that would allow her to bend and move fluently without the treats of tearing. On her feet were her normal flat flexible black leather boots, the soles comfortable but thin to allow proper movement.

She had been sitting in a comfy lobby chair with her legs crossed as she flipped through a bland consumer magazine when Alec's voice sounded in her skull. She tensed slightly; she had never been fond of random people having access to her head like that, granted, Alec wasn't some passerby on the street... But just the fact that she was wide open bothered her... Normally her mental shields worked, but she had not been focusing like she should, and had neglected to even try to enforce any sort of mental barrier... Well, she had better have go up to the top of the building to meet Alec. 

Uncrossing her legs, she put the magazine back on the end table next to her chair, then stood, fixed how her Ao Dai rested across her form and walked her way over to the elevator. Delicate fingers pressed the button, metal doors parted and she stepped in, pressing the button for the roof. A thousand floors passed quickly by, and soon she was standing on the roof, wind tossing her blonde hair softly, she looked at the fellow light haired woman, she recognised the lady as the Aisling lady... Or rather, Demi.

Smiling her normal soft smile, she lifted her right hand and waved at Alec and Demi, "Hello."

Speed. It was what kept Alec alive throughout his childhood, and what enabled him to win so many fights. Simply because he was faster than his opponent. So speed has always been Alec's thing, his gimmick. The faster fighter would be the one most likely to hit first, hit the most, and be the fighter still standing when the fight was over.

Alec explained that time was everything. Every action that someone did took, every little thing you do while in a confrontation with someone took time. If you talked to someone during a fight, unless you were equally as fast as them, or faster, you were wasting time. It took time for the brain to send the signals down to the mouth, it took time for the mouth to form the words. Someone like Alec was able to kill in that short amount of time. He told the girls never to waste movements in fights, because someone fast could use that against you. The person you're up against is more likely to do something to leave themself open before you, so never take your eyes off of them. Watch and wait for it.

He explained to them both about his Angelic Speed, how moving away at a split second left behind perfect after images that could be used as distractions, how using it made them invisible until they stopped moving again. So that they wouldn't be confused, he even performed an example of a usual fight he used to get in...

There were 2 Alec's, one normal and one wearing a black coat. The Alec in the black coat is an average everyday guy, while the normal Alec is himself.

Normal Alec: He stands facing the other Alec, non moving. There is no expression on his face. He keeps his eyes locked upon the other Alec, awaiting the first move.

Other Alec: He cockily runs a hand through his hair and smirks at the other Alec, yawning since this would be an easy battle. He pointed a left arm and index finger toward the other Alec while saying "You're hardly worth the effort."

Alec explained that there were many opportunities in Other Alec's post for Alec to attack him. "He cockily runs a hand through his hair and smirks" All of that took time. Alec could quickly run in and attack before his hand touches his head. "yawning since this would be an easy battle. He pointed a left arm and index finger toward the other Alec" More time taken. Alec could attack while he yawned, or before he pointed his arm. "while saying "You're hardly worth the effort." Talking during a fight had to be the biggest mistake because of all the time it took. Unless one was of equal or faster speed, one wasn't getting out of the way if they were attacked while talking.

Next Alec explained how to use after images as distractions to create a distraction that would either allow them to run away or attack while the opponent is distracted.

Other Alec: He approached the other Alec and swings his right arm with the intent of driving his fist into his face.

Normal Alec: Other Alec touched nothing but air. He would swing at a hologram that was left behind after he'd moved away quickly 0.01 milliseconds before the hand had a chance to touch his skin, 2 feet to the right, to watch Other Alec swing at something that was no longer there. This created an opening for Alec to kick other Alec in the back of his head. (Unless Other Alec was at equal or faster strength, there was no way to dodge.)

Alec made it a point for both of them to train their dexterity and reflexes, and to create some sort of bullet time ability that would allow them to see things slowed down. There were several small points colored white located on various areas of the roof. Alec told Demi and Himitsu to practice using their Angelic Speed by moving between these points as quickly as possible, and stopping on a dime. He told them that once they got the hang of that, to start moving faster and faster until it got to the point that the roof looked full of clones of Demi and Himitsu. He hoped his explanation wasn't too confusing, knowing that it would save them in any situation, and waited to see how they took it all in and applied it for their own usage.

Demitria looked over at Himitsu at her arrival, taking note of her new and far younger looking appearance than the one she had the last time she had seen her; many many months ago. She gave a nod of greeting and then turned her silvery gaze back to her father; listening carefully as he began his lesson for them on speed.

As she listened she took mental notes, saving everything to memory; some of it she knew because of how much time she had spent training and just play fighting with Dez, but some of it was new information. Regardless she paid extra careful attention, not wanting to miss anything. All of this information was going to help her become more easily acquainted with her abilities as a full blooded Angel, so she wasn't going to slack off and miss something.

She paid attention as he explained about after images and how to use them, and even about creating some sort of bullet time ability. She even had an idea of having Dez run around a bunch as fast as she could and just watch her until her eyes naturally trained themselves up - it wouldn't be hard and she knew Dez would do it for her too. Heck, she could probably run around enough herself to where her eyes would train themselves that way; turning everything that would otherwise be a blur into something perfectly see-able and detailed.

Then it was time to practice using the small points colored white. She started out at the speed she was used to from when she'd been a vampire, +8. Moving from point to point she stopped instantly on each and every one. When that became too easy she started going faster, her form going from a blur to as she went higher and higher up on her speed utterly invisible as she moved, +9, then +10, +11, until finally as she got to full complete speed, +12, she was leaving a bunch of Demi's everywhere, her laughter filling the air.

After several times of doing this she stopped nearby Alec and grinned. "You know.. I don't think a bunch of trouble-making Demi's is such a good idea...", she said jokingly.

What he said was easy for her to understand. Everything. Every. Single. Thing. Took time. From breathing to speaking to blinking. Anything that took time and wasn't an attack or a preparation for an attack was an opening for the opponent, a fatal opening.

She calmly stood, absorbing everything that Alec said. This was a valuable lesson, this would keep her alive in a fight, this would protect her, cloak her from her enemies until it was too late for them. Exploit a person's natural "ease" in a fight's opening so to say. Most people had some amount of showmanship in themselves, such as smiling, saying something, general theatrics... All of it was a huge opening, a chance for her to strike, a flaw... Something small and unconsidered could tip a battle into her favour... She'd need to train her reflexes and dexterity further than she had in the past while training with Satoshi... She needed to be better. She wanted people to respect her, but she didn't expect it to be simply handed to her, no, she'd work for it. She'd train herself up, and maybe one day, just maybe, she would be a force to reckon with. She'd prove to everyone that she wasn't just some weak pathetic obedient little girl anymore. She would become something important one day...

She looked down to observe the little white marks on the roof. He wanted them to move between the white marks, and get faster and faster until they reached their limit. She glanced over to see the Demi woman move, blurring faster and faster between spots until she seemed to suddenly multiply. Himitsu took a deep breath, becoming as still as a statue in but a short second. She honed her concentration down into a finely sharpened point, a deadly focus if it were applied in a different, more hostile situation. 

She moved forward at her old base speed, the speed she was used to moving. She was as fast as a human with a few years of normal martial arts training. She was at one of the white spots in a few seconds, then she pushed herself a bit faster, getting to a new dot in a shorter time... But that wasn't good enough, her sight wasn't even starting to blur yet... Faster. She needed to go faster. Again she moved her body through the space around her, speed increasing. She would not allow herself a break until she was at her limit. Satoshi would have wanted me to try my best. I will not disappoint him, even if he is with Light now...

She continued to make herself move faster and faster between the dots, her stops becoming more and more clean, more controlled and precise. Soon the speed on the air going past her kept her from hearing everything clearly due to her lack of experience in moving at a high speed; soon after that her vision began to blur more and more. Yes... She would need to train up some sort of bullet time ability so that she wouldn't be moving blindly in a batte. Finally she was leaving an after image, granted it had taken Himi a bit more time to achieve this than it had Demi. She stopped about seven feet away from Demi and Alec and looked behind herself, greeted with the view of multiple Demi's and multiples of herself... It was a strange sight to see indeed.

"How much do I need to improve?" She asked Alec in her soft voice.

Alec nodded his head, satisfied. Both of them seemed to have the basics down in a very short amount of time, this was good. The rest, if they were smart, could be figured out for themselves. If all else failed, it was a very easy way to just escape. There was no shame in outrunning danger and living to see another day instead of trying to play tough and being killed.

"Well it's a good thing that we don't have to worry about anything like that anymore, right Demi?... And you're doing just fine, Himi, you've come along just as quickly as I thought you would. You can even set up your own area somewhere and practice that way too. Soon moving around like that will become second nature; it'll be an everyday thing just like breathing. Just take care to watch where you're going and be careful of your surroundings... One small trip at those speeds, one little tiny mistake can be nasty..."

Alec heard stories of Angels being reduced to red stains from not being able to control their speed, and there was of course the story of Jr going flying away into space for 2 days. He couldn't handle another one of these tragedies.

Demi watched Himi as she came to a stop nearby, and chuckled at the site of so many after-images of herself and Himi littering the rooftop before they faded away. That was definitely going to come in handy; though she wasn't in a rush to have to use that ability for fighting reasons. She planned on keeping her nose clean as much as possible - especially because she lacked the voices and other things that used to tell her to make trouble.

Demi grinned and nodded to Alec. "I don't plan on doing something stupid and ending up as a stain on the ground.. or a building or whatever. So, I'll make sure I'm careful." She pulled her hair out of her ponytail, fluffing it out. "I suppose I should get to work now, unless there's something else you needed from us?" The club could go a little bit longer without her if she was needed for another matter - everything had been going good so far, especially with Nanalie as her number one bartender, and Spook doing the bouncer thing. She had no qualms leaving the club in their hands when she wasn't there.

She smiled at him... She was doing good? That was great news to her! She had never gotten praise from a male with the exception of Satoshi... And that reminded her... She needed to find Kathala, the white sword... If he had died... If he had died then his sword would have been buried with him.. The only issue was that she didn't know where he was even buried at, or any of the spells that she or any of the other upper guards might've laid over his tomb... She'd need help to say the least... But that was a task for a different time.

"Mister Alec... What else are Angels able to do?" She couldn't help but ask. She was curious, and this man was powerful and seemed to know what his species could do. She just didn't want to blink or flinch or do something otherwise powerless then suddenly BOOM, something is fucked up because she was ignorant.
