Business Meeting, Part 2 [Destiny, Maxi, Invite][NR]

Alec decided that it was time to expand and increase Company numbers. With that chick over in Ground Zero gathering army-like numbers of the zombified and mutated dwellers of the scarred land, it would make sense to also follow suit.

A plan quickly went into motion, and Alec thought about his ranks. While he was the head, Destiny, the body and legs, was mostly here in Darkman Tower. Her Grandfather's building was her responsibility. Niala and Cala were his arms and hands, and were out and about, feeling on things. He considered them along with himself the body of The Company and nicknamed them his Executive Committee.

Next in line was Maxi, his General. He liked to think his Generals were the ones that made sure everyone lower was squared away and doing their jobs, while at the same time doing theirs. Alec had only seen Maxi one time since the Demi episode. He'd heard about an encounter in an alley with he, Niala and Demi, but since then there had been no word, until earlier, in an incident with Nanalie and Destiny. It was time to find out of he was going to join the train of movement around here or not, and also to inform him his role in things to come.

So he'd call a meeting with two members he hadn't had a chance to really inform of things: Destiny and Maximillion. He was sure Destiny would show, but would Maxi even bother? A "cigar" blazed at his lips, clouding the room with a green mist-like fog while he waited for them to enter the office.

Destiny had got her father's message about a sudden meeting he had wanted to have to go over some new matters and could only hope that nothing bad had happened. She was still sure violence of some kind was going to erupt sooner or later, especially with this newest episode of both Nanalie and then later that day Riley turning into angels, or half-angels as it were. She had even given Riley the same talk she had given Nanalie: not to try flying until the hyper sensitivity was gone, and likewise she had told Demi to keep a close eye on the girl in the off chance she decided to try flying alone.

So, as she exited Demi's suite she headed to the elevator and rode it up the next floor. Hands in her jean pockets she walked down the hallway and paused outside of the office door long enough to remove her hand from her pocket, open the door, and step inside. She threw a glance around as she entered, wondering who all had been called for this meeting, and if she was the first to show, before walking across the room and taking her usual spot.

She leaned up against the glass behind her father's desk, off to the right of his chair. Hands were removed from her pockets as she folded them across her chest and just waited, yawning softly. "Please tell me something bad didn't happen? Because there's been a awful lot of bad things going on recently...."

Super Big Gulp in hand, filled to the brim with a potent mixture of shit that would kill a normal human; the mixture reeked of something sinister. He was wearing decent clothing at the moment; a silken red button up shirt, custom tailored beneath a black business jacket. Tucked into the pocket of this jacket were the feathers that had sprouted from his granddaughter's body. He'd taken to keeping them with him at all times, deeming them too important to be left leying around. His lower half was done in black trousers of the same material: feet were shod in a pair of red hard soles, almost as if the male was fest from church.

The fucking irony.

He'd been informed that Alec wanted to see him about something. He was getting restless; he'd never stayed in one place for too long anyway. He'd been here for the sake of Demi, to make sure her recovery went well. But now, it seemed Alec wanted to meet with him.

Hands reached up, pushing open the door to Alec's office, stepping inside to just to catch Destiny speaking. "Please tell me something bad didn't happen? Because there's been a awful lot of bad things going on recently...."

"I second that shit. Begining to hate this office because it always comes with bad news."

Destiny showed up as expected, as did Maxi soon after her. Much bad news had been spilled here. Maybe his office was beginning to give off the wrong impression, something he tried to avoid. He shook his head while blowing out lung fulls of smoke.

"No bad news. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of things, and see where everyone stood. I don't know if you're aware or not, but there's some chick over where New Vegas used to be. She's powerful, and created a floating island. Alot of the monsters and mutants that live there have been going to that island she made, and I think she controls them. I'm not trying to make anyone do anything they don't want, but if this broad decides to go to war I need to know you two are informed, because you both have family."

Alec pushed several buttons, causing several screens to appear near Destiny and Maxi, showing them the island in Ground Zero. Both of them had children, Maxi; a grandchild even. He wanted to make sure they were warned.

"I got plans to start doing some recruiting. I lowered the entry rank into The Company to Henchmen, and i'm gonna be taking in anybody off the street to try a probationary trial period. Maxi, you planning on sticking around, or are you going back to where ever you came from? You're enjoying the benefits that comes with being a Company member, but I haven't been seeing you doing any work that benefits The Company. Seeing as I have 12 and 13 year olds running around completing jobs in other countries even, if you wear the Pendant I expect all employees to pull their weight. What are your plans, bro?"

Destiny turned her lightning blue colored gaze to Maxi as he entered after her and then rested it on her father as she listened to him begin to answer her question. She was glad to hear that there wasn't any bad news to report: she honestly didn't know how much more her hair-trigger of a temper could stand. She had kept herself calm, even when all of that bad shit had happened to Demi, like her losing her head, and she was still continuing to keep herself calm even though someone had been inside of her best friends head... but, there was only so much someone could take: especially someone who had seen war and violence since they were four years old.

So, her shoulders relaxed slightly, indicating she was calmer than she had been when she entered. But still his words bothered her slightly: if this chick decided to go to war it would only be logical to attack the one city not protected at the moment: Shinkai. Which meant she was going to be withing seeing distance of Amaranth's island of Sugure. Not something that made Destiny a very happy camper at the moment. But she nodded her head to her father's words to indicate she was listening..

Then her lightning blue gaze moved back to Maxi as her father began to speak to him, wondering exactly what his plans were, too.

As Alec spoke, the Malkavian took a sip from the cup he held, and closed his eyes almost immediately to blink. The world turned sideways, Kane's left ear grew teeth and started talking, each word formed and leaking down his coat. The Malkavian could swear he could hear colors, taste sounds, and see out the bottom of his feet.

But to the naked eye, the male hadn't even moved, appearing to be waiting quietly as Kane spoke. As Kane stopped speaking, the world fixed itself, allowing the male's senses to 'normalize'.

"I'm going to be here for good while. Things aren't sitting right with me right now, such as this whole situation with Demi, and the children. I aim to see this shit resolved, one way or another. But in the meantime, I have no qualms about helping you, Alec. Nothin's changed since the days of INC, 'cept yo ass getting uglier while Dezzy here became beautiful." A small joking smile spread on his face. The cup was placed on the floor for the moment as arms crossed his chest. "You need me, let me know where. Same as always."

Kane grinned some. He'd never figure out Malkavians and why they were so insane. Nodding his head and flicking ashes in the tray he went on to other more detailed plans.

"Alright then. The Henchmen that join, i'll need you to make sure their ready. Check them out, look after them, alright? If you have to beat on em a little to toughen them up, so be it. But please try not to kill anyone. If they survive your boot camp then they're in, if you have to fire someone then fire their asses. Total control of the initiation process is yours. I'll make sure you're well taken care of, alright? Here, take this as an incentive."

Alec pulled from his desk his card reader and one of his black Company cards. He typed on it several moments and slid the card through, then pushed the card across the desk toward Maxi.

"Something to start you out with. I'll be watching everything, but let me know if there's anything you need. You too, Dez. You looking out for the Tower hasn't gone unnoticed. Keep it up and tell me if there's anything you need, go and help out Maxi the Toyota King here when you get the chance... Well, that's all I had to say, really. Any questions, feel free to ask, otherwise we're done here."

Dez laughed softly at Maxi's words and then shook her head with a small grin upon her face. She then turned her attention back to her father, listening to the new task he was giving Maxi. New recruits... that sounded /fun/. Especially if one of them ended up being some sort of cocky asshole or something - that situation might turn violent fast. She was not above personally slapping someone upside of the head... repeatedly, if needed.

"You know me, I'm more than willing to help out when needed... and speaking of, I have some flying lessons I promised to give to two very eager little girls. So... if you hear screaming, someone's falling till I catch them..." Not that she would let them fall long... just long enough to see if they could gain control of themselves without her help, otherwise she would be on rescue duty.

She turned her attention to Maxi. "By the way... I know you already know Nanalie's been hearing those voices in her head... well, head's up encase you didn't know, Riley has too. Apparently the little child prodigy is catching on to everything quickly..."

She pushed off of the glass lightly and crossed across the room. "Anyone needs me I'll be on the roof..."

"You putting me in charge of recruiting?" A hand reached out, picking up the card and placing it into the an inside pocket of the coat. "I'll be sure to keep an eye out for potentials. In the meantime..."

The cup was picked up, swirled a bit and sniffed. Shit, this stuff reeked. "I'll get on this. Right now, I need to go find someone. She might be able to help us, now that I can hear her thinking clearly."
