Business Meeting [Open][NR]

Watching through the cameras let him know that everything went down without a hitch. A job got done quick and clean without any blunders. Those kids got to spend some time together in a beautiful setting, during which Alec didn't care to watch, as he thought it would be rude. Alec had made an example of those who would wrong him or his family, and he planned on doing the same to those who did right as well.

So in the leather recliner he sat, having seen them fly back to the mainland. They would probably be coming to report in. Alec figured some congratulations, promotions and Company bonuses were in order. When you did right by The Company, The Company did right by you.

Cala led the way down the stairwell steps, hands stuffed into her hoodie pocket; thinking over everything that had happened while on Amaranth's island, even though it had been such a short time period - including the fact that Matt and her were now an item. A grin spread across her face as she walked down the hallway and then finally removed her right hand long enough to twist the doorknob and open the office door. She stepped inside, hand going back into her pocket as she entered into the room, leaving the door open for Matt to follow her in.

She took several steps inside and away from the door, glancing backwards with her mismatched gaze to see if Matt had entered or not, before turning her attention towards Alec. "We handled the werewolf issue without much of a fuss, I don't think they'll be an issue again, but if so, Amaranth knows she can count on us for help."

The boots slam into the metal heliport so his magnets can hold him in place and prevent stumble. The "clap" sound of metal against metal was loud. While walking toward the stairway with Cala the armor began emitting steam and vapor, releasing most of the built-up kinetic energy from the flight back.

A trip to a tropical paradise where he was able to get close to a girl, a beautiful girl, for the first time was great, and he'd never forget it. He felt indebted to these people because of all of the generosity he was getting, though he had to be one of the weakest, if not THE weakest employee, even still he decided to stick by them to the end and be as loyal as his human body would allow him to.

The Vigilante was soon walking into the office with Cala while the helmet moved away to reveal his face. "Your grand daughter has an amazing place, boss," he added. "If ANYthing goes wrong out there, tell me first! I'll drop whatever i'm doing to go help out!...Stretch is sure to be really jealous though..."

He opened the drawer to his right to grab the card reader and 2 of his black cards, typing several seconds on the device and swiping both cards. Alec was putting the card reader back into the drawer when they walked in, their words bringing a grin to his face. He pushed his chair back and rose from it to stand, walking around his desk to them, handing towards them the cards.

"Well done, you two. The Company rewards hard workers, and those that can get the job done with cleanliness and efficiency will go far. Here's another 10k credits for you, Vig, and 20 for you, Cala."

Cala was the biggest surprise. Alec figured he'd have another storm on his hands worse than Hurricane Demitria when it came to her, especially with that crazy, naughty look she always had on her face. She was proving to be exactly the opposite. This made Alec nod his head while evaluating her performance so far.

"Cala I gave you more for 2 reasons; the first being that I believe I owe you an apology. For a while I thought you were going to be another Demi if not worse, for that i'm sorry. You brought Vigilante here back without trying to kill him or do him serious harm. You guys tore up the street and broke a lot of windows, but that can be fixed. You let yourself get kidnapped by some idiots for fun, but Vigilante showed that he was willing to fight through all those guys to come and rescue you, even if you coulda tore ass outta there at any time. Vigilante was able to find the HQ of that little crime family over there, and we all know what happened to Xan now. Crime boss, huh..."

Alec put his hands on Cala's shoulders. As with Niala when he promoted her, a soothing feeling would come over her because of his Healing Factor. Even if she wasn't injured it would still go into play, giving her a rejuvenating, energetic, light-on-your-toes feeling.

Angelic Healing Factor:

"Which brings me to the second reason. Because of this last job being done without a hitch, and quickly too, I want to extend an offer to...pretty much become part of the family. You will be an Underboss, one of my hands. This means when myself, Destiny or Niala are unavailable, you are the head of The Company. Now this doesn't mean come up here and sit behind my desk or anything; put your butt in my dad's chair and it will get spanked!.. But seriously. With Destiny and Niala, you all make up the hands and body of The Company, with me as the head. This formation has to be close, so get close to Destiny and Niala. No licking blood off people's fingers though. ~__~ You freaked Niala out with that by the way, you should apologize... Anyway, welcome to the family, Cala."

He was serious when he said family, and to show her Alec kissed Cala on her cheek before giving her a loving hug. He caressed her left cheek with his right hand while looking at those crazy eyes of hers, then back behind his desk and sitting down.

"One more thing... I'm going to start doing monthly Evaluations on all Company members, because i'm starting to see some people just laying back on their asses enjoying Company benefits but not doing anything for The Company. This isn't fair to those that are going out there and putting in work, and getting jobs done. I'm gonna go over everything that Company member has done in the month. You keep doing good? Promotions and bonuses are in order. Do bad, and you start to slide down hill, Demotion. Vig, you're on your way uphill at the moment. You can either move up, or move out. This is gonna go for everyone, so don't think i'm singling you out. I'm proud of both of you, you're way on my good side right now. Try and keep it like this..."

Cala took the card and looked at it for a moment before shoving the thing into her pocket: she was definitely going to be going on a shopping trip later on, maybe some new weapons or armor, or something along those lines. She slipped the card into her hoodie pocket as she listened to what Alec had to say. She chuckled softly. "Don't worry about the apology... it's just my devilish charm that makes me out to be such a trouble maker.", she said, unhinged grin slipping onto her face. She didn't blame him for thinking the worse: it was all part of the aura and vibe she gave off - she was trouble, or so she portrayed.

She felt, after he put his hands on her, the energetic feeling and it made her grin grow. She could leap a tall building a single bound now: not that she was planning on trying. And then her eyebrows both rose and a look of mild shock over took her face at the next bit of what he had said. He was making her an Underboss. Her? That was quite a jump to go the whole way from Hitman to Underboss without even a pit stop as a General. Hell, she had passed Maximillian up completely.

"Sweeeet! I'll make sure I get to know them more-so.. and that was only because I was hungry, I haven't done it since then. But, I'll make sure she knows I'm sorry, I really hadn't meant to freak her out. And thank you, Mister Kane." She returned his hug, the words he had spoken meaning more than she wondered if he knew. She had always had the voices in her head to keep her company, and the random people she was somewhat close to... but not a family. And now... now she had a boyfriend she cared about, and an actual family to boot. "And I mean that thanks when I say it."

She then listened, as he sat back down, to him saying he was going to start doing monthly evaluations on all Company members. A grin spread across her face. "That's fair, no point in lazy people being around who aren't going to do what they should... and I'll make sure I keep on your good side."

Another ten grand! Just for beating up some genetically altered Werewolves and making out with a sexy half naked Vampire? How sweet was that? At this rate, V thought he was going to be rich soon. His grandparents were taken care of for life, so this meant that the money was all his, to spend however he wanted. A 15 year old with over 20 grand to blow on anything.

Cala was being promoted to one of the top people in the whole Company, which was awesome. As long as he managed to stay out of trouble and represent, then he had the chance to move up the ranks too, and earn more money. Would be great to be used for more upgrades for his suit, 2 of which his mind went to work right then and there. He'd actually start building on these new ideas when he got the chance...

He was doing good so far. He'd continue to do this."Thanks boss! I'll do my best," was the reply he gave to Alec, shoving the black card in his pocket, trying to visualize Cala licking the blood off of someone's finger...

"Still no word about whatever this...'thing' is with him, Cala? You can't tell me you haven't noticed it, like how it's impossible to read his mind or do anything supernatural around him. You two are together, it shouldn't be anything for him to tell you now."

Alec nodded his head to the two.
"I don't have anything specific for either of you to do right now, but there's more than enough regular work to do around here, as i'm sure you know. If anything arises i'll get in touch with you. This meeting is adjourned..."

He then lit another one of his "cigars." The next episode had to be Xan Vs Vigilante. This would be good. He and Xan had recently had a conversation. Alec told Xan that he knew about what was going on in that Massage Parlor, and stated that he could lead in the police and have everyone arrested. Xan responded that he "didn't give a fuck," and that jail would be just the same to him as a vacation. Deciding to let Vigilante go about this situation in his super hero way, Alec and his former boss Xan were able to smoke several "cigars" and catch up. Alec told him everything from the dissolution of Murder Inc to the end of the siths, also everything that had happened up to that point, and Xan told him about the break up of he and Karin, the years of wandering, and the experimentation by terrorists.

Xan said he had 'plans,' for the kid, plans that would benefit the kid and also Alec, but he didn't go into any details. Alec could have read his mind and found out for himself, but he wanted to be surprised. He would sit back, smoke and wait. All of this would be broadcasted to Cala so that she was informed as well.

Telepathy:

'No, but I do plan on talking to him about it. It took me a little bit to notice it because I didn't want to go poking around in his head right away...But, I'll let you know when I find out.' She was interested too, mostly because it was like a curiosity, something that she didn't know about Matt but wished to find out as soon as she could: another piece to complete the puzzle that was her boyfriend.

Trickster:

She listened to the other telepathic things that Alec shared: especially his meeting with Xan and Xan's plans to help better Matt. She hoped that that was all he wanted to do: she had trusted him once when he was leader of Murder INC., but she wasn't quite sure how to feel now knowing that he had stepped to the darker side of things; though truth be told, he hadn't tried to harm her at all the entire time she had let herself be kidnapped. So, she would also wait and see what happened on that account.

"Alrighty, well then.. I think I'm going to go check on Devon and make sure she hasn't done anything crazy... and then, I dunno... find something else to entertain my time with..."

With that said she turned, walking out of Alec's office. She figured she would go see her sister, maybe find and apologize to Niala, and then maybe go spend some time with Matt and figure out this block he had going on with him that kept her from reading his mind.

Cool. He was doing a good job so far. His brains were at work with a design for a shield system that would aid in his battle with the crime boss. He turned after Cala left to go and get to work building these new upgrades.

Waving to Alec he'd say, "Later boss, let me know if I can assist some way." Then he was out of the office, and down 1 floor...
