| “Mama, we all go to Hell. Mama, we ALL go to Hell. I’m writing this letter and wishing you well. Mama, we all go to Hell. Mama, we’re all gonna die. Mama, we’re all gonna die. Stop asking me questions, I’d hate to see you cry…”, the music played softly within Devon’s office as she read through the text message her sister, Cala Jo, had sent her. If Devon had the ability to see the future she would’ve found the song ironic. It seemed like Cala wanted to go out and grab a bite to eat after work and do some catching up. They hadn’t hung out a lot here lately, seemingly going in two different directions unless work brought them together for something. While Devon had been busy the past few years - graduating highschool, completing college, busy working on new gizmos and gadgets for the Company, and developing other items that could be sold to the masses to make day to day life easier - Cala had… well, Devon wasn’t entirely sure what Cala did.
They hung around two different crowds. Devon had got involved in a group of fellow gamers towards the end of highschool and the group had formed a five-man team. They spent their downtime practicing, and in the past year or so they had been able to put their skills to use entering tournaments - and winning them. They were good. Devon mained a healer class, though she could double as a sniper when needed. They were a good group of guys, and there wasn’t the usual weirdness that came with her being a gamer girl. So when Devon wasn’t busy with work and inventing things she was gaming while Cala was often off doing… well, whatever a Malkavian did in their spare time.
However, Devon still loved her sister, and the text message said that Cala wanted to do some catching up. As far as Devon knew Cala didn’t eat actual human form - surviving on blood - so she wasn’t sure how well dinner would go, but it seemed like her sister was trying, and she wasn’t about to turn her nose up at it. Responding to her sister in agreement with the plan, Devon grabbed her small backpack, checking it to make sure the allergy pen was in it. Her newly developed allergy had been the only blight in Devon’s life in the past few years - she had developed an allergic reaction to magic. She could be near it, but the moment it was used on her she got roughly the same reaction as someone who was allergic to bees being stung by one. So a friend of hers with interest in the medical field had helped her to develop essentially an epi-pen to help combat the reaction and keep her from what could likely be a death sentence. So, she didn’t leave without it.
Not that she actually left Darkman Tower on a regular basis. Devon loved her job, had from the first day it’d been given to her, and considering most of her tournaments were virtual, the only time she left was to do shopping or run an errand. Devon had always been the time to keep her nose clean and her head down - focusing on her work and excelling at it. Plus, she just really didn’t care for people she didn’t know, so there was that.
Passing by the windows of her office she caught her reflection, giving herself a look over. Her red hair was almost down to her back, but as usual it was up in a messy ponytail. The only makeup she bothered with was a bit of black eyeliner and mascara because otherwise her eyelashes were damn near white. Other than that she was in what was typical attire for her - a graphic t-shirt advertising her gamer group GG Academy in gold lettering. A pair of black jeans with horizontal rips across the lower thighs and shins, and a pair of black sneakers with a thick sole that hid the roller skates within them - her main mode of transportation these days. The only thing that could be classified as jewelry Devon bothere dwith, beyond a simple hoop nose ring, was the Company Pendant hanging around her neck. Deciding that she looked appropriate enough for the restaurant her sister had picked she flicked the lights off, headed to the elevator, and once on the ground floor she exited Darkman Tower. Engaging her roller skates with a simple tap of her heels, she made her way to the nearby meet up spot Cala had chosen, not really questioning them not meeting just at the restaurant itself.
It would take less than five minutes to get there, and soon enough she arrived, swerving to a stop, and disengaging the roller skates. “Cala?”, she’d call out, figuring her sister was likely already there and waiting for her - her sister tended to be impatient if nothing else, so her being there first just made sense.

| Cala was waiting, but it was an impatient process. Ever since she had sent her sister that text message she’d been on pins and needles. Sure, catching up with her sister would have been nice, if that’d been her plan to begin with. No, Cala had simply become bored with this life. She was a Malkavian, an agent of chaos, destruction, and most importantly madness. The world was too peaceful, too calm. Where were the days of war, plague, and famine? Where was the suffering, the hopelessness? She missed the old days.
So, what did a Malkavian who’d been unhinged even as a human do in times such as this? Well, she hatched a plan! Cala wanted to bring this world to its knees. All of it. She wanted the old ways back. She wanted to cause as much destruction and chaos as she could. But, she didn’t want to do it alone. That was the whole point of meeting up with her sister. She loved her, of course, but there was also just the urge not to do this alone to contend with. She wanted her sister in on this, not just out of a sense of loneliness but also because of how much of a genius her sister was. The amount of chaos her sister could do in the tech sense would be maddening, and the very idea made her begin to bounce in place impatiently.
Thankfully, the pale skinned, raven haired beauty, dressed as usual in all black, wouldn’t have to wait long. The sound of roller skates reached her ears, and her sister appeared around the corner. Stepping out of the shadows into the street lights, Cala waved to her sister, smiling. “Hey sis. I’m glad you could make it. Mind if we take a walk before going to eat? I wanted to do some catching up, but there’s also some stuff I wanted to talk to you about that I’d rather not be overheard about - it’s kind of private.”, Cala would suggest, hoping her sister would go along with it. Cala figured that maybe Devon would agree if she thought it was some kind of girl talk or something, even though they hadn’t really had one of those before.

| Devon was right, Cala was already there. Smiling at her sister as Cala stepped out of the shadows and revealed herself, she took a moment to realize that for once they kind of matched - both wearing mostly black. However, the thought was swept out of her mind as her sister spoke up, mentioning going for a walk so they could have a private conversation before going to dinner. Devon wasn’t extremely hungry yet, so she figured there was no harm in it. Besides, she was curious what her sister wanted to talk about - hoping and praying it wasn’t some kind of girl talk or sex talk. They’d never done that before, and quite frankly Devon didn’t need it. She hadn’t had a boyfriend or anything - or even a girlfriend - but she’d passed health class with flying colors thank you very much and didn’t need to be embarrassed.
Shrugging her shoulders Devon would respond with a “Sure, lead the way,” before following after her sister, letting her set the pace of the trip and the general direction. Slipping her hands into the pocket of her jeans she kept quiet, waiting for Cala to lead off with the conversation, preparing to internally cringe if it was something embarrassing or weird. Honestly, she just never knew with her sister. She’d always been a strange one, a bit different, even as a human, so yeah… her motto was to expect the unexpected with Cala. At least to a certain degree.
"This isn't some kind of birds and bees talk is it? Because honestly, you can save it, I know all about that stuff from school...", Devon would blurt out, hoping to save them both the embarrassment if it was that.

| ‘How naive you are to allow a vampire to lead you down an alleyway, sister…’, Cala found herself thinking as she led the way around the corner and down a nearby alleyway. Of course, she had told her she wanted to talk privately, and she’d never done anything for Devon not to trust her. Hearing her sister blurt out what she had, Cala couldn’t help but laugh and shake her head. “Nah, it’s not one of those talks. Calm down. It’s something else, but important.”, Cala would lead with, mysteriously. She had this whole thing planned out - she was going to talk first, and see if she could get Devon to agree, and if not then she was going to take a more drastic measure in the form of turning Devon into a vampire; a Malkavian. She didn’t want to force it upon her sister, she knew her sister was quite fine with being a slightly enhanced human thanks to V’s nanites, but if it was the only way she could get her sister to agree to things then she’d use it to her advantage.
She’d say no more until they were at least a block down into the alleyway, the location chosen due to the lack of cameras around or any kind of recording equipment - something Cala had taken the time to check before planning this. Coming to a sudden stop Cala would turn and look at her sister. “I wanted to talk to you about my plans for the future, plans I hope you’ll agree to be a part of. You’re my sister, all we’ve got is each other. There’s no one left from our family line left alive, and I’d really like you to be by my side. I’m going to ask that you hear me out…”, Cala would begin, pausing to give Devon a chance to respond.
If Devon was willing to listen to what Cala had to say, then the Malkavian would continue, “I’ve become bored with this world. I miss the old days. Things are too peaceful these days. Too normal. Gone are the days of war, famine, and plague. Gone are the days of the dog eat dog world, the eye for an eye. I miss it. I want it back, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes.” Pushing a strand of hair back behind her ear Cala would continue, “What I’m saying Devon is, I want to take over this world. Not just one country, all of it. I want to bring it to its knees under my rule. I want to be able to weave chaos and destruction as I please. I want an interesting world! Like the old days when we were children! There will be people who oppose us of course, but they can be dealt with easily enough between my abilities and your tech savvy self! Think of the possibilities! Two queens ruling the world! Controlling everything!” Cala was so giddy she was grinning by the end of it all, bouncing in place on the balls of her feet like a happy child who’d just come down to open presents Christmas morning.
“Come on Devon, do this with me. Be by my side! Let’s turn this world upside down!”

| Hearing her sister’s reassurance that this wasn’t a bird and the bees talk helped soothe some of Devon’s hesitation as she followed her sister down the alley way. It was an odd place to have a conversation, dark and foreboding, but considering what her sister was she found herself not questioning it. Dark and spooky was just what seemed to be Cala’s norm after all. When her sister finally stopped walking, a good distance into the alley itself, she found herself almost colliding with her, but managed to prevent it. Stepping back a bit, she looked toward her sister and waited.
An eyebrow would raise in curiosity as her sister began, wondering what on earth she wanted to bring up. Meanwhile, goosebumps rose up on her flesh and the hair on the back of her neck stood up as she got a bad feeling about the whole ordeal. Considering the whole “hear me out” speal, she was figuring this wasn’t going to be good. Likely her sister had some hairbrained idea she wanted to do, something likely dangerous or just downright stupid. However… she wasn’t ready for what came out of her sister’s mouth. She remembered the way they grew up. Every day was a fight for survival. They risked being raided, the plague was running rampant everywhere, plus there was a faminine which left them going to bed hungry more often than naught. It was terrible. The death and destruction of those days had been horrifying: Devon made it a point to not think about it, to focus on the present and the future, not the past where she had come from.
Yet, her sister wanted exactly that. She wanted to start those days up again. More so, she wanted to commit all kinds of treason and betrayal to get it. Their friends, they’d be turning against all of them. Causing them pain, creating war. The way her sister spoke so casually of it, as if she’d been planning this for a while, well frankly it made her feel sick to her stomach. She couldn’t, wouldn’t, be a part of something like this. But from the glint in her sister’s eye and the way she was bouncing in place it told Devon that Cala intended on going forward with this plan whether she joined up with her sister or not.
Thinking to let her sister down gently Devon simply shook her head, “I’m sorry, Cala. I normally have your back on stuff, but I can’t do this to people. It’s not in my nature. I’ve never hurt someone outside of a game, I’ve never killed someone before. I don’t want those times back. I suffered, YOU suffered. Every day and night was a fight for survival. We suffered. I can’t with a clear mind purposely put someone else through that. I’m sorry…”, Devon turned, beginning to walk away. She had to get back to Darkman Tower, she needed to speak to Junior. With or without her help something told her Cala would do this regardless. She didn’t want to betray her sister, she was the only blood relative Devon had alive, but she couldn’t condone these actions. She couldn’t stop her sister, she didn’t know how to fight, she was a brain, not brawn, but she had to let someone know who could.

| Pain filled Cala’s heart as her sister rejected her plan, as she spoke of wanting nothing to do with it. It was like a betrayal. They were blood, they should be together through everything, regardless of what it was. Yet, here was Devon denying her, here was Devon walking away from her. No. NO! Without thinking she moved, inhuman speed coming into effect as she grabbed her sister from behind, pinning her arms around her. Teleportation kicked in along with flight, sending them out of Edge City entirely and leaving them hovering several hundred miles away from land, in the center of the ocean.
“You will join me one way or another!”, Cala announced before ripping into Devon’s throat with her fangs. Blood poured into Cala’s mouth and she drank deeply, using her strength to subdue her sister as they hovered well over a mile up into the air. She would drink quickly, shifting her grip to hold Devon’s arms pinned with one arm, while opening a wound on her wrist and forcing it to Devon’s mouth hard enough to force her lips apart, leaving her no choice but to drink unless she wanted to drown in Cala's blood.

| Grabbed from behind Devon didn’t even have a chance to scream before magic enveloped her, her sister teleporting the pair out into the ocean. The magic immediately made her feel sick, her allergy kicking in. However, she couldn’t get to her bag, couldn’t even speak, because before she knew it her sister was announcing that Devon would join her one way or another before a searing pain was felt in her neck and she felt the warmth of her own blood soaking the collar of her shirt - her sister was feeding from her.
She thought Cala intended on killing her, yet as blood was forced into her own mouth she knew her sister was planning on changing her into a vampire against her will. Regardless of whether she wanted it or not, Devon had no choice but to drink if she didn’t want to drown in her sister’s blood. Yet, it wouldn’t work. The nanites which had kept her from getting sick throughout the years were doing what they always did, the moment the vampiric virus entered her bloodstream the nanites attacked it, destroying it. The more Cala fed the slower Devon’s heartbeat became. Her sister wouldn’t get what she wanted, but if she didn’t stop soon Devon was going to be dead.
The edges of her vision became blurry, the first sign she was in some serious trouble, darkness following quickly afterward as her heartbeat continued to slow, becoming increasingly sluggish. She was going to pass out soon if something didn’t change, and she was fighting for every second of consciousness she could. She had to do something!

| It wasn’t working! Cala knew immediately it wasn’t. She could sense it if nothing else, but the tell-tale signs of someone beginning to change weren’t there. Instead her sister was simply dying in her arms. Tears of anger and sadness fell from Cala’s eyes as she turned her weakened sister around, staring into her face. “You did this… I just wanted the old world back. You could have agreed, but you decided to betray me instead. This is your fault, and theirs! They’ll all suffer for it, Devon. Your death is for nothing.” Cala would then reach back, throwing her sister in the direction of one of the many lands of the world, not caring where her sister aimed, but using enough force that she’d actually reach the center of whichever land she ended up at. Meanwhile, after throwing her sister, she’d vanish, teleporting away to begin to enact her plans…. [exit | |

| Devon was dying, there was no question. She had always wondered if she’d know it was coming when her time was up, but she had never expected a situation like this. Maybe an accident with an experiment, sure, that was always in the back of her mind, but in all honesty Devon expected to just die one day of old age or something. Maybe to go in her sleep, or perhaps in a hospital surrounded by her immortal friends. Not this, she hadn’t expected death by vampire, let alone her own sister.
Finding herself turned around so that she was facing her sister, she listened to her words and felt another sting of emotional pain. Her sister wasn’t even going to try and save her, she was just going to throw her away. Devon was expecting to die, but she needed to do something to help the situation. Even if she couldn’t get to Junior and let him know what was going on, or anyone else for that matter, she had to do something. Thinking quickly as she felt her sister begin to throw her she grasped onto Cala’s Company Pendant, ripping it clear from her neck as she was thrown. Darkness consumed her as her grip tightened around the chain the pendant hung from, the last image in her mind being of the empty space her sister had left behind when she teleported away.
She was vaguely aware of air rushing past her as her heart continued to attempt to beat and unconsciousness consumed her, the chain of Cala’s pendant clutched in a death grip in Devon’s right hand. She was a mess, a sight to see surely. Thrown toward only God knew where, her neck and shirt bloody, her skin deathly pale, eyes almost entirely lifeless.

| Jr appeared, his arms outstretched, catching Devon.
He hadn't heard what was going on, but the moment Cala's necklace was snatched off, this triggered a silent alarm. With no action in ages, he almost welcomed some trouble.... But not this kind. Devon looked injured, like she'd been attacked... but by who? If his father had been around, he could ask him to do some tracking. It looked like Devon would heal from this, mostly due to those nano-things that Vigilante gave her that one time. All he had to do was wait until she woke up to tell him what happened.
Jr had been working hard on controlling his emotions since his time in the ninja world, with help from Hi No (His fire spirit.) He was pretty mad that something like this happened, but there was no use blowing his top yet, not until he had answers. With large white wings visible from his back, he left this area and headed back towards Darkman Tower. Upon reaching the top floors he entered through the window everyone with flying capabilities used.
Jr lay Devon on one of the large couches in the office. After making his wings vanish, he straightened his Armani suit jacket and tie, wondering what Devon would tell him when she woke up. He wanted to heal her, but the nano-things were doing that job instead. He'd just have to wait until she woke up...

| Death would pass her by. Devon had no idea that by snatching Cala’s necklace off in an attempt to keep her from doing anything dangerous to Edge City she had ultimately saved herself. As the nanites went to work healing the wound upon her neck, as well as helping to increase the blood her heart was creating, it began to beat faster, returning to its normal rhythm. Consciousness returned to her, and with it she immediately found herself fighting against her body’s unwillingness to move. It took several long seconds before she jolted upright, eyelids flying open. What she expected to find… well this wasn’t it. She expected to be falling, or perhaps in a crater somewhere - though how she would’ve survived that impact she didn’t know.
However, instead of either of those things she found the all too familiar surroundings of Junior’s office, a space she knew well throughout the years she’d been there. Looking to the man in question she had no idea how he’d found her, or saved her, as she assumed that was what happened. Instead she simply reached out her hand, loosening her hold on Cala’s pendant to hand it to him.
“She’s gone nuts… I mean, Cala’s been nuts, but this is even beyond her.”, Devon would start, shaking her head and realizing he’d need more of an explanation than that. With her other hand she’d reach into her pocket to her phone, unlocking it with her fingerprint before entering into one of the various apps - her phone was always recording, a feature she implemented in case she had an idea so that she wouldn’t forget it later. Thankfully, in this case it recorded the conversation between herself and Cala. Rather than trying to explain it, she rewinded back to the appropriate time stamp and pressed play, letting Junior hear the conversation from the time Devon arrived, till after Cala had thrown her… all the while Devon felt a sort of numbness to herself, not sure how to feel about the whole situation, unable to process it yet. Likely in an attempt to protect itself and preserve its own state, her mind was simply refusing to process what had just happened.
There was more to the story of course, like what happened when all conversation ceased, as well as her own question as to how Junior had found her, but for now, she’d let him deal with the recorded conversation.

| Jr walked over near the couch when Devon sat up. She immediately handed him Cala's Company Pendant; it alerted him to possible trouble to begin with. Devon said Cala was crazy. Jr already knew this, but she continued to say that "this was beyond her." Something was up with her? Had her own sister attacked her?
“I’ve become bored with this world. I miss the old days. Things are too peaceful these days. Too normal. Gone are the days of war, famine, and plague. Gone are the days of the dog eat dog world, the eye for an eye. I miss it. I want it back, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes.” “What I’m saying Devon is, I want to take over this world. Think of the possibilities! Two queens ruling the world! Controlling everything!”
Jr frowned, the wrinkles visible upon his forehead. "...What the hell has come over her?" he asked. "Take over the world? She can't be serious, can she?... Is she thinking my dad is just gonna stay behind the scenes somewhere? My grand dad?... What about Vigilante? He won't take this well..."
He walked over to the desk and sat, bringing up holographic screens and beginning to cycle through them. "We gotta find her and talk some sense into that crazy loony bin of a brain of hers. We got enough going on with some glowing alien flying around, not to mention all the regular problems around here, and not too long ago going to heaven to see a crazy family reunion..."

| Listening to Junior she wondered how much his demeanor was going to change when she finished her story. As he went over to his desk and started searching for Cala, Devon reached up and wiped the blood from her neck with her sleeve, revealing in the process the clear fang marked scar left behind upon it. "There's more..."
Pointing to her neck she continued with her story where the recording had left off. "Cala did this... When I told her I wasn't going to join her in the madness I went to leave. I was coming to find you. She grabbed me from behind and even knowing my building allergy to magick she teleported us to the middle of the ocean. She bit me, starred feeding off me in an attempt to turn me. I'm assuming the nanites stopped the vampirism from happening because instead of turning I simply started dying. When Cala realized it she blamed me for it, blamed my friendship with all of.you guys. That's when she threw me. I knew she was going to, and i was afraid of what she'd do, that's when I ripped her pendant off. I hoped maybe that would at least slow her down a bit... " Sighing Devon stepped to the window and looked outside. "I'm assuming that's how you knew something was happening and was able to find me? Because I ripped her pendant off..." Her voice was monotonous at this point and yet the sting of betrayal was kicking in, causing a single tear to run down her cheek. Her own family had tried murdering her and then had thrown her away like trash.

| He was carefully looking through screen after screen. Jr had no idea where she could have gone, or where she might be. He didn't know too much about her after all, except that she was in Murder INC back in the day along with his father. Jr didn't fancy fighting friends and folk who were like family because emotions got involved, and someone always ended up hurt, even if no punches were thrown or bullets fired.
"Sorry Devon," Jr said, noticing that Devon had become emotional. "How do you want to play this?... My dad and Vigilante aren't gonna take this well. Especially my dad, he hates traitors. She's really gonna be in trouble if she's serious and my granddad finds out. We gotta talk some sense into her... or try at least."
Jr slid Cala's necklace across the desk. He continued looking through screens, swiping them off to the side to disappear when he saw nothing familiar...

| Wiping away her own tears, Devon squared her shoulders and took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. As much as she was upset about the whole situation, if something didn’t change and quickly her sister was likely to be killed. Despite Cala attempting to turn her against her will, and then essentially leaving her for dead, she didn’t want her sister six feet under. She still loved her - even if she was pissed off at her right now. Besides, if her sister had never become a Malkavian… well, Devon assumed she wouldn’t be up to the kind of stuff she was now.
“It’s fine, I’ll deal with how I feel later. I want to find Cala and keep her from doing something stupider than she’s already done. I still love her, and I don’t want her dead despite what she did. My sister was a bit strange even back before she was a human, but become a Malkavian certainly tipped the scales… Honestly, I don’t know if we’ll be able to talk some sense into her. But… what if we could get her and remove the Malkavian portion of her?” It was an idea at least. Devon had seen some of the shit that had happened, especially when it came to Demi going from a vampire to an angel, so she hoped it’d be possible to do something similar to Cala, even if it was just stripping her into a human.
Picking up Cala’s pendant she stared down at it for a moment, rubbing her thumb over it for a brief moment before an idea popped into her head “What about Niala? Maybe she could find her if we can’t on any of the video feeds…”

| No sooner would Devon speak the words would Niala walk in. She had been out grabbing lunch, but a sickening feeling in her gut had brought her rushing back to the tower, her lunch and favorite frozen hot chocolate left somewhere on the sidewalk. On her way to the tower she had had a vision, a random one which had come to her detailing what had happened. Immediately she moved towards Devon, wrapping her in a hug while taking the pendant from her. “I’m sorry, I didn’t see what was going to happen in time.”
Releasing Devon to keep her from feeling smothered, Niala’s gaze flickered to Junior as her pupils extended, her eyes becoming black as her ability to see into the lives of others took effect. Focusing on the pendant in her hand, something Cala hadn’t taken off for years, she revisited first the past, what she had done to Devon, then her current location, somewhere deep beneath the water nearby a coffin of sorts. It was strange, but the power radiating from it immediately caused Niala to shudder - whoever was in there had power similar to her own, and was a being as old as dirt. She was going to glance over to the future, to try and see what would happen, when something strange was noticed - a sort of connection between Cala and the individual within the coffin. “Cala didn’t do this of her own free will… “, Niala managed to speak, the vision wavering slightly as she did so. “There’s a connection between her and who she’s with. They’re controlling her. I think it’s the person who sired her. But what terrifies me is this woman has my ability…”, Her eyes would shift back to normal, a frown on her face as she stared at Junior. “Junior… whoever this woman is that’s controlling Cala… she has imagination manifestation. She’s using Cala as a puppet through their connection of sire and fledgling.” Glancing to Devon, she gently touched her shoulder in a soothing manner - typical, since Niala was often seen these days as a sort of mother figure around Darkman tower. “Devon, Cala didn’t do what she did to you willingly. Those words weren’t her own. It was entirely this woman. I can sense the real Cala beneath the surface, she’s trying to break free but she can’t. She thinks you’re dead and she’s in agony over it.”
Once more her connection to the pendant would come alive, the vision this time not of the past but of the future, and her eyes grew wide in horror at what she saw. “Oh gods… she intends on having Cala attack Sunset Island…. The sun is a bit lower than it is now, it’s almost nighttime. We’ve got about six hours before the attack happens.”
Using her ability to manifest whatever she wished she formed a holographic video of sorts in the center of the room, allowing both Devon and Junior to witness what she was speaking of. In this video a nuclear attack would happen, coming from various sides of the island itself. However, at the same time a thick mist would appear, coming forth from it creatures made out of shadows. These creatures would appear to be almost werewolf in nature, mindless beasts filled with the urge to hunt.

| Jr and Devon were on the same page. Neither of them wanted her to die. When his father or Vigilante found out, however, is when he couldn't predict what would happen or how they would feel. Especially his father, and everything he suffered back in the sith wars. "Hmmmmh," Jr mumbled as Devon's suggestion. "We could do it like that, like how my dad turned Demi into an angel, but... Who knows if she'd be cool with that, and I still don't know how dad is gonna take all this. He got turned on many times in the past, too many times."
Niala was a good idea, and before he could call her, she walked in. Jr could never understand those powers of hers, to just conjure things out of midair, but somebody could say the same thing about him, having a fire spirit inside of him, and being able to control time. She explained that Cala was being controlled, which put him at ease... mostly. All that had to be sone was to find whoever this person or thing was and put an end to them.
Jr frowned when his sister's island was mentioned. "Dez is NOT gonna like that," he said. "People worry about me? My dad?... You REALLY don't want to piss off Dez, not after all the hard work she put into that place... let me see if Ghost is around..." He pulled his cellphone from the desk drawer and put in the call. After several rings he answered. "Ghost. Good to hear from you... Yeah, i'll talk to you about that later. Right now, we have some trouble brewing, and Sunset is in the crosshairs. Would you come to the office for a few ticks? I wanna talk to you first before Dez because she'll flip the hell out... alright, cool. See you soon."
(Ill put Ghost in on the next go round.)

| How everyone else was going to perceive what happened today would certainly be interesting - and likely a problem. However, Devon hoped that if nothing else her sister could be locked up somewhere or something, not killed. Seeing Niala walk in she was a bit surprised by the hug, but strangely enough it did make her feel better. She watched as Niala worked her magic, taking several steps away out of habit at this point - while the magic wasn’t being used on her, she didn’t want another allergic reaction to deal with.
Devon fell silent, letting Niala speak, explaining what was going on. Hearing that her sister wasn’t behind her own words, and that she was being treated like a puppet for someone else slightly made her feel better, but at the same time terrified her that someone could have that sort of power.
Watching the holographic ‘video’ Niala created of what was to come caused Devon to pale sickly. If they couldn’t find her and stop her by then she would most certainly die. No one was going to stand by and watch Amaranth’s island get attacked like that, let alone deal well with Amaranth being in harm’s way. As Junior mentioned Dez, Devon couldn’t help but shudder at the thought. She’d heard stories of the kind of things Dez had done to people as a child, and she could only imagine how much more creative the woman had become as she aged. She had never personally seen Dez lose her temper, but she definitely didn’t want to. Nor did she want her sister on the receiving end of it. As Junior placed the call to Ghost Devon turned her attention back out the window…

| Niala nodded in agreement to Junior’s words. She knew what Destiny was capable of, and anyone threatening her child would send Destiny on the warpath. It would be legendary, so much so that there’d be nothing left of Cala to even scrap up off the ground if it happened. While Junior placed the call to Ghost Niala turned her focus on attempting to locate Devon’s sister.
Turning to her computer, and keeping one hand on the pendant, Niala channeled some of her magic into the computer, controlling it that way, following the psychic trail she had. The holographic image of a map of the entire world hovered above her desk, the image shifting and zooming in as Niala closed in on Cala’s location. Cala and whoever was controlling her was indeed deep out into the ocean, hundreds of miles past where Cala had even taken Devon and left her for dead. As the map continued to zoom in Niala opened up another screen, pulling up the most recent report of the ocean, including the depth of it in that particular location, the flow of the water, temperature of it, and so forth.
Frowning Niala glanced over to Junior, “I know I don’t normally get hands on with this kind of thing, but considering that this sire of Cala’s has the same ability as mine, it might not be a bad idea for me to get Cala myself. I could teleport her here, and replace her with a clone. Then strip her of the Malkavian side of her, thus removing the woman’s control over Cala… Cala would still be just as she is, just without the crazy. It’s a risk though. Even if I create a perfect replica of Cala, the moment the woman finds out she’ll likely guess someone out there has the same kind of power as her. But, it would at least get Cala out of the crossfire.” Niala exposing her ability of imagination manifestation was always a risk. The kind of power she weilded, she could essentially unmake time itself if she wanted to, blink the world out of existence, or preform other godly attacks. It was so much easier to let people think she stayed in the office most days because of her seer abilities, rather than the fact that in the right hands she could be an unstoppable weapon.

| Black smoke came into the office. It traveled along the floor, as to not irritate anyone's noses. Near the desk is where the figure rose to stand about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a long red cape. Ghost had a hairstyle similar to Vegeta, donning a pair of goggles on his forehead. Ghost had on a wife beater, blue pants, black sneakers, and a strange pair of gloves.
He had a serious look on his face. Having himself a look around the office, he spotted a few he didn't really know, but they'd all been at most of the gatherings, and Kane wouldn't have them here if they were just anybody. What he was mostly concerned about is who or what was threatening the island.
"Glad you called me first," Ghost said. "Your sister... I know i'd have to be the one to calm her down, so let's hear what has this bullseye on the island, yeah? I could use some exercise."

| Jr had forgotten how godly Niala was, glancing to see her effortlessly began tracking where Cala could have gone. It made him remember that she could easily unmake everything if she really wanted. Then again, there was his grandfather, and he would doubt that Darkman would just sit by and let someone erase everything he'd built. Now there was someone else with the same kind of powers? And they were evil?...
After explaining her plan Jr responded: "Yeah... you know about this better than I would... Do what you have to. I'll keep my eyes peeled if whoever this is decides to retaliate."
Jr saw the smoke come into the office and eventually form into his brother-in-law Ghost. "Well man, someone's gotten to Cala. I donno if you two have ever met. She attacked Devon and said she wanted to take over the world, bring back the dark ages. We've been able to figure out that she's being controlled by someone. She has the same powers as Niala here, which means things could go really, really bad. If we don't stop whoever this is, Sunset Island goes boom. Not only that, an army of monsters and whatnot comes out of the fire to invade. We're talking hell on Earth."

| Devon listened as Niala devised a plan to get Cala back safely and out of that evil woman’s clutches. It sounded almost too good to be true, but then again the sort of things Niala could do… she was sure she could pull it off. However, this sounded like a lot of magic was about to be used, and it made her nervous. Her allergy was annoying to say the least, and for a moment she found herself in a mental war with herself. She wanted to stay and see Cala arrive safely, but at the same time she had to think about her own well being.
All in all it caused a slight frown to form on her face. However, she was distracted by the arrival of who she assumed to be Ghost. Staying silent she listened to the conversation, including the go-ahead from Junior for Niala to do what she needed to do. In the end her uncomfortableness with magic was trumped by her need to see her sister alive and well. Even if well.. Things were going to be strange between the two of them. Devon knew Cala hadn’t been in charge of her own actions, but it was just a lot of drama that’d have to be dealt with. That could wait till later though, for now she wanted Cala safe, and then there was stopping the war about to come to Sunset Island to deal with too. She knew the island was a tourist destination, constantly filled with innocent people just trying to have fun and enjoy themselves. It was supposed to be a safe space, with laws in effect to prevent any sort of violent acts. If this evil woman wanted chaos… well, it made sense she’d target a place like that first. Sighing, Devon went and sat on the couch, figuring she'd at least get out of the way of all the magic.

| The go ahead from Junior was given, and so Niala nodded. As she contemplated how to go about this she listened to the conversation between Junior and the newly arrived Ghost: yes, Destiny would certainly have been a problem if she’d been told first, having been given a look into Alec’s past with his permission she knew well how bad Destiny’s temper was and what the women was capable of. Throwing a glance Devon’s way, Niala contemplated what might be going through Devon’s head. Even without her seer abilities in play she could guess the inner battle Devon was having. Her allergy was a new thing to deal with, something Niala had updated in the employee database not twenty-four hours ago. Yet, the need to see her sister safely back was likely strong too despite what had happened. In the end she watched as Devon went and sat on the sofa, seeming to have made her decision on whether or not she was staying or going.
Smiling gently Niala spoke toward Devon, “Stay on the couch while I do this, Dev. I’m going to create a barrier around you to protect you from the magic so it doesn’t make you ill. As long as you’re within that you won’t be able to feel anything. It’ll allow you to stay safely while I bring your sister back.”
Turning her focus toward Junior and Ghost she’d speak once more, “I’m going to bring Cala back, then look into the future again and see how things developed. I can still feel it churning beneath the surface, but my visions of the future are never set one-hundred percent in stone. The tiniest of ripples can of course cause massive changes.” Before beginning Niala focused her attention on Devon, creating a voice of sorts around the girl, an egg shaped barrier where no magic could penetrate - the air shimmering around her about three feet away from her in all directions. ”Alright, there. Stay within that Devon and you’ll be fine.”
Turning her focus in the direction of Cala, looking essentially out the window towards the ocean, Niala took a deep and calming breath to focus herself. Her abilities were insane, and she had always refused to abuse them. Alec letting her see into his past, see everything that had happened soon after bringing her in, had been an exercise of trust. Her proving she didn’t use her abilities just on a whim had been her own - beyond her frozen hot chocolate obsession of course. But, a situation like this called for it, so she’d do what was needed to bring Cala back safely.
Placing her hand on her own pendant, Niala would close her eyes, focusing on her power as a strong wind picked up within a five foot radius of Niala. It churned violently, becoming strong and stronger, and only Niala’s ability to suppress it kept it from getting out of control - keeping the office safe and those within it despite the destructive awakening of her ability. Muttering to herself she’d begin, ”See nothing, notice nothing. Everything is as it was. A clone, a perfect replica. The same connection, no difference. Immediately changed, immediately transferred. No power for Cala, no Malkavian abilities able to go into effect, no physical action able to be taken. No connection to the Malkavian cobweb. Safe teleportation.” At that moment Cala would appear in the center of the office, bound in such a way that neither magic nor physical action would be capable.
To Cala she would turn, the switch between the real Cala and the clone completed with just simple words and a vivid imagination. “You are no longer a Malkavian, you no longer have connection to your sire. You can no longer be controlled by that woman. You are an individual. You are free. Your will is indomitable.” It would be like child’s play for Niala to mold the world, to change Cala in such a manner - she hated it, and yet in that moment it was a necessary evil. There was no draining of power for Niala, no weakness to using such power - the same as if she was manifesting her daily frozen hot chocolate. This was her true power, or at least a hint of it, and it was this power that Cala’s previous sire had too. As Niala’s power died down the wind around her would stop. In a moment of pure honesty Niala would speak as she turned away from Cala and looked out the window into the distance, ”I terrify myself sometimes…”

| One moment she’s in the bottom of the ocean in a war with her own mind, trying desperately to break the control Zephyr had on her while grieving over the death of her sister, and the next she’s chained with magical chains and in Junior’s office with Niala speaking to her, causing a chain of reactions that left her free from her sire’s evil grip. She didn’t know what was happening, but she felt herself falling to her knees as the full weight of what she had done mentally crushed her - she hadn’t even noticed Devon on the couch yet.
”You have to stop her, you have to stop Zephyr. She’s going to attack Sunset Island… she… she made me kill Devon.” Her guilt was like a bad taste in the air, thick and heavy. Yet, for once in her life her gaze was entirely lucid. There was no Malkavian traits left. She was still a vampire, but she was no longer crazy. So the full effect of what had happened was something she was entirely aware of. She had betrayed her sister, had played on her trust to get her alone, and then had killed her.

| Ghost remembered Cala from his days as Murder INC's "secret weapon," nodding his head. He'd heard one or twice that she had a sister, and that she mostly hung around the Tower. Ghost wasn't one to get into anybody else's business unless he had to, so he didn't know much about them or why the younger sister would get attacked. His main concern was the island that Destiny had built for Amaranth.
Levitating himself off the floor, Ghost rubbed the bottom of his chin with gloved fingers. "Hell on earth, huh. For them..." Someone was behind the scenes controlling her like a puppet with powers like Niala. Ghost didn't know much about Niala either, besides the fact that she had God-like powers activated by her imagination. Ghost usually avoided people with that much power; he didn't want to risk their bad side. She said even she scared herself sometimes.
Jr told her to do her thing. Ghost got to witness these powers with his own eyes. There were winds and the bending of time and space, and before long Cala was back in the office. That solved that, but there was still whoever was behind all of this, out there, somewhere...
"Zephyr, huh. It's been a long time since I've eaten someone. Dunno why they'd attack the island, but if they have a death wish... God-like powers or not."
