"For fucks sake." Slamming the book before him shut, the male groaned and slumped in his office chair. The old tome before him held nothing that he could use to alieveiate his current problem; it only served to further drive him into worry and anger. There was something wrong; something so fucking wrong, and he couldn't think of how to approach this problem. But with the way things were looking, it was starting to seem like he'd have to got to war against Family.
The problem began several hours ago when a report was handed to him, informing the young hybrid that someone had paid a visit to his city. Given the description of the individual, and the method in which they had arrived, Nova came to the conclusion that it had to be one of the Kanes. After all, how many tall individuals with halos and energy wings were there in the area?
Nova himself had no problems with one of the Kane's visiting. They were family, after all, right? Perhaps they had come to socialize for a bit? The last he'd heard, Alec had been stuck over in Pacific City, and everyone was making efforts to rescue him from that zombie infested hell. Perhaps everything had gone sucessfully, and they were coming to inform them? But this was not the case... According to the report, the male took the two girls with him and left the city.
No word. No nothing. The hell? But they were in the company of family, right? Everything had to be alright, yea? But still to not even send up word to the Tower that they'd left was annoying. He'd have to have a word with them when they returned. Nova knew Sicarius could take care of herself; she'd stripped that Malkav jr dude of his abilities and took them for himself -- turning her into what was effectively a vampiric god. And with Seraphina's own strange powers, plus that monster that Sic lovingly dubbed 'Pyra' always around her, he was not afraid for thier safety. Nah, he'd just ask them to let him know next time they were taking off with family when they came back..
But apparently, this was not to be. As Nova was continueing about his duties within the tower, he felt something strange; like a shiver running up his spine. What essentially felt like Sicarius's emotions flaring through the MMN, a potent mixture of fear and sadness. Without thinking, the male reacted, diving into the Cobweb, furiously intent on finding where his sister and Aunt had gone. But what he found he didnt expect; broken images, flashes of emotion and snatches of conversations. More fear, the taste of it bitter on the male's psyche. But the final thing... is what drove him over the edge. An vision that played from Sicarius' eyes. Oh her laying down on a table, staring up at someone whom seemed so familiar.
What was her na-
"Amaranth." It had to be. There was no one else whom wore a red hooded cape like that.
But why was Sic afraid-- the fuck?
Nova watched in quite contemplation as he say Amaranth approach with a needle filled with red liquid. He could almost feel the tiny bite in his own flesh as the needle was stuck into Sic's arm and the liquid was injected... and everything went dark.
What had happened? For almost an hour, Nova scoured tomes within the library of the tower, searching for an answer. All the while, his mind scoured through the Cobweb, finding nothing remaining of Sic but a few scattered memories and emotions. That in itself fueled the pit within him. Worry and fear slithered within his mind. What Amaranth done to Sic? Fuck, this was starting to feel like a weird sense of Deja vu-
This... this was just like how Demi died. A sudden loss of her connection to the Cobweb. Had.. had Amaranth killed Sicarius? No, Amaranth was family, and so was Sic. Family didnt just up and kill family.
But there was no connection. Nothing at all, but memories. Sic was gone. And seraphina was with her. Two people gone, all while he felt they were safe within his city.
No, no. This was not happening. There had to fucking answers, even if he had to start murdering off Family. The sorrow within the male turned to anger, causing the young man to see nothing but anger. Upon his back, sprouted with swoosh of falling feathers that turned black with his rage. The Darkin blade, sensing his emotional stability, manifested itself in his hand, the energy housed within the blade surging with expectancy. The front wall of his office would be blown out from the malevolent energy surging within the confined space, allowing the winged beast to take flight. and head towards Sunset.
He would get his questions answered, even if heads had to roll for him to do so.
Anger fueled his actions, causing the male to attempt to push out every bit of speed he could muster from his wings that he possibly muster. Those eyes ignored the landscape as he flew over it; a curious, dangerous mixture of violet and gold filled them both in his rage. He could only picture his destination as he flew, fingers gripping the Darkin Blade tighter as his body streaked through the sky.
Soon enough, he could finally see the resort island; the same as it had been the last time he saw it all those years ago. But he was not here to appreciate the beauty of the place; no.. He was here with much darker intentions.
