Any Survivors? [Travel, Edge ---> Velo Ruins][NR]

Jr was still chilling out up in the house. Alec thought of going home to Makkura, but he didn't exactly want to bail out with these Templars walking around. Makkura was from another world, so there wouldn't be any artifacts over there for them to go looking for.

He looked over the fight between that girl and the Saiyan over and over on the computer, up until Velo went up in a big boom. He couldn't exactly see what happened to that girl. Did she survive? She knocked the kid through a building with one punch, so she had to be strong and formidable. Alec knew if Maxi or Nova were still alive, they weren't going to look for her.

Maybe she was still alive. Alec wanted to go looking for her, and other survivors. The whole city was still burning. There were no signs of Nova or Maxi. It didn't seem like either of them really cared about shit anymore. Many people had to be over there, suffering. Dead and dying. It made Alec itch to just be sitting there in the office, doing nothing. Alec whipped out his cellphone and pressed an index finger down onto Dez's face.

"Dez. Where are you? On the island or in Edge somewhere?... Dunno if you've been informed on current events, but the shit is on the fan. Come to the office?"

If he was going over there, he wanted someone else just as fast as he was. Demi would be busy with the club and whatnot, so it would have to be Dez. The question was, where was she at the moment though?...

“Last time I keep a zombie as a pet...”, Destiny grumbled under her breath as she rung the mop out for the last time: the last of the blood was off of the holding cell's floor – but she had spent over an hour cleaning. She was in Amaranth's lap where some or the more dangerous experiments were kept, but thankfully she got good signal basically anywhere. As she heard her phone going off she pulled off her latex gloves, reached into her lab coat, and pulled it out to see that her father was calling.

”Uh, I was in Amaranth's lab actually. My zombies tore each other apart when I didn't get food in them fast enough. I'll be there in a hot second.”, she responded before putting her phone down. She kicked off her cleaning boots, removed her lab coat, and grabbed her cellphone and pocketed it in her sleeveless stripped gray hoodie pocket.

She hurried her way, blurringly fast, out of the Underwater Lab. Once out she flew at top speed over to Edge, and stopped outside of the window long enough to open it and step inside. She closed the window behind herself, pushed her wind swept hair out of her face, and looked towards... a very young looking version of her father. It seemed like everyone was changing lately: she herself had done a bit of changing – with white hair now nearly touching the ground and separated into two braided pigtails.

”Huh... I got used you lookin' like an old man. Now I gotta get used to you lookin' younger then me. What's up, dad?”

"Old? Me? You needin' glasses or somethin', I never looked old, How dare you insult your father."

Regardless, he had a sarcastic grin on his face. Dez was looking quite different herself. His first daughter, if you didn't count Serena, who'd flown off into space with her mother. Who knew where they were, or if they were coming back...

Alec pointed to the screen in front of him, expanding it. The screen showed the ruins of Velo City, still burning and on fire, looking like something out of a post-apocalyptic movie.

"That alien, the kid flying around calling himself Saiyan? He did that... I don't know what's up with this kid. He has this thing where he glows red and shouts "multiply." So I'd guess he's multiplying his powers. I been studying this video of the fight between him, Vigilante and Nanalie where he turned into King Kong. Right before he does, he looks at the moon. Nanalie cut his tail off before long, and he changed back into a kid. But the tail grew back... i'm thinking the kid needs the moon and the tail to transform, so it would be a bad idea fighting him at night..."

Alec rewound the video to the point before the explosion, where the kid was fighting with the old man. The female looked to be powering herself up by some means as well; Alec still hadn't really figured that out yet. If she was still alive, he planned on asking her. The video zoomed on on the kid as he began to look highly pissed off from being punched through a building by that girl. His body expanded, his hair turned gold, his eyes turned green and a gold aura appeared surrounding him. He flew upwards, and after a moment of charging up he fired an energy wave that destroyed Velo City.

"And now he can do that... whatever that is. He may not be able to destroy Edge or Sunset just like that, but he can still cause a lot of damage and kill thousands. I wanna go over there and look for some survivors, but I don't wanna take just anyone. That's why I called you. I really wanna look for that girl, she's one of a few that can actually go toe to toe with this dude, and I know Maxi or Nova ain't gonna give any fucks about what's going on over there. I wouldn't be surprised if they got the fuck outta dodge before it all went down. You wanna go?"

Alec stood up and stretched, his back and neck giving off several popping sounds.

Destiny chuckled at her father: it was true that he never looked actually old – but she had gotten used to his older appearance, where as this was going to take some getting used to.

When her father expanded the screen she stepped away from the window and walked over. She could see the destruction of what once had been the rather beautiful city. The place wasn't nice looking now – it was in ruins and on fire. It would take a miracle to survive something like that; but, those kinds of things happened. A frown formed on her face as she heard her father mention that the alien kid – the same one who had shown up on Sunset Isle a while back – had been the one to cause this kind of damage. It was true that wide spread destruction was negated on Sunset Isle, but the idea that he was this powerful was still a bit un-nerving.

”Damn... I'll have to make sure I let Ghost know. I know there's precautions against that sort of damage on Sunset Isle, but I'd still rather be safe then sorry. Does Amaranth know about this?” She knew her daughter had come over here for a little vacation of sorts – so it wouldn't surprise her if she had been alerted of the news. How was she handling it? Destiny had just been glad that her daughter had finally gotten out of the funk over what happened with Nova. ”She was pretty torn up over what Nova did: the girl hasn't smiled since it happened. Can't say I feel bad seeing this.. He had my daughter thinking she's some kind of evil. Still, 'least she seems over it.”

”I'll head over there with you: could be a bunch of survivors – and I'm willing to bet that if that girl can go toe to toe with that Saiyan like that then she's probably alive somewhere. Kinda wanna see who else is alive over there, too...”

Alec had a grim look on his teenage-looking face when he thought back to that day on the beach of Sunset. The nephew he never got to know. The shit parenting of someone he considered one of his closest friends. The pointing of a sword at his grandchild. Would they run into Nova over there? Would they run into Maxi for that matter? Alec had his doubts.

"Yeah, Jr told her what was up... I wouldn't stay too miffed about that whole Nova thing... Sometimes it's not the people who change, it's the mask that falls off. Then you see them for the piece of shit they always were..."

The grim look and his rising emotions over the whole thing caused his Angel Sword to appear on his back, like it always did whenever his emotions started to rise, or whenever he was in danger. As he walked over to the window, the area about his back began to move and shimmer like heat in the shape of two wings. Because of his necklace the wings had been powered down somewhat and didn't BOOM to life like they normally did.

"It's kinda dangerous over there now... If you don't have the means to protect yourself, i'll think of something..."

Alec opened the window and fell out of it. He picked up speed as he fell, his wings becoming more visible but still looking somewhat see-through. After falling through large clouds that caused them to spread out behind his sheer speed, Alec began to head off into the direction of the Velo Ruins, knowing Dez was not far behind...

”I know it's pointless staying angry: what's done is done. It just touches a nerve considering Amaranth was feeling like that – and that's the exact same shit Raquel tried convincing everyone of when it came to me...”, she said as she rubbed her face and sighed.

She noticed the angel sword appear on her father's back and raised a brow. ”Eh, I'm not worried about it – my holy shield's improved quite a bit throughout the years...”

She watched her father walk over to the window and then fall out of it. Her own wings manifested from her back, feathery, bright white, and glistening like silk in the lighting. She walked out onto the air, shut the window, and allowed herself to fall too. She shifted in the air so that she was going head first instead of feet first and then spread her wings, taking off after her father: right behind him.
