Aftermath [Company Members][NR]

Jr came in through the window, leaving it open for the clone to bring in Vigilante. The clone entered, and Jr closed the window next. Jr let go of Cala and the clone followed him out into the hall and down several doors. He opened them and walked inside, waiting for the clone to bring him in.

The clone took Vigilante over and lie him in one of the beds in the room, which looked to be a lounge. It was rarely ever used, but the butler kept it clean and dust free anyway. After putting Vigilante down, the clone turned into a white cloud of smoke. Jr picked up his left arm and looked at that computer of his. After trying out several buttons, he eventually did something to cause the suit to come off of him and return into whatever contraption it was he carried around with him.

Matt looked a little tired, and his skin was shiny with sweat, but otherwise he seemed alright. "Well, he doesn't seem too bad off," Jr said. "Maybe after he gets some rest for a while he'll wake back up."

"It wouldn't surprise me if Devon had an army of Wolfenstein's being built right now.", she said.

When they reached Darkman Tower Cala felt herself fully and completely relaxing: an army couldn't get in here even if they tried, so the last few words that the Leader had spoken meant little now that they were all home and safe.

Once Junior put her down she followed him and his clone down the hallway and into the lounge area where Vigilante was laid down before the clone poofed leaving her with just the real Junior. After Junior pressed several buttons Vigilante's suit finally came off of him to reveal Matt's sweaty and shiny skin. She stood next to him, her hand going gently to Matt's forehead to brush some of the sweat away. She had no intentions of leaving his side, especially while he was unconscious like he was. She half expected him to wake up fighting considering what he had just gone through, and her being nowhere to be found would not help that situation at all. "I should definitely stay close. After he went through all of that it wouldn't surprise me if he wakes up fighting, and me being off somewhere isn't going to help that situation at all.", she said softly.

Devon had glanced up to the window of the tower just in time to see two Juniors, one of which was carrying Vigilante who looked to be un-moving and the other who was carrying Cala. While Cala still looked to be covered in blood Devon couldn't see any wounds on her. She dropped the project she had been working on and darted out of the R&D department. She made it upstairs just in time to see both Junior's, Vigilante, and Cala go into the lounge where Vigilante was laid down.

Devon ran down the hall and straight over to her sister. "Oh, thank god you're alright!", she said softly as she walked over to her sister and hugged her gently. That was when Devon froze, eyes going wide in shock: her sister was breathing? Yes, she was breathing and Devon, whose head went up to slightly higher than chest height on her older sister could hear her heart beating. "What...? What happened to you...?" Devon took a step back, looking her sister over. There was definitely something more human about her sister, if not completely so, and she looked far more sane then she usually did. "What did they do to you Cala?"

She then looked over to Matt's revealed unconscious form. "What happened to him?"

He was... somewhere. He could hear voices. Someone carried him... somewhere. He was on a bed, without his suit on... How had whoever figure out how to take it off?... Well, that didn't matter... where ever he was, it was comfortable.

He was in the space right between being awake and being asleep. He was tired, but he wasn't in any pain. The last thing he remembered was falling towards the middle of a busy street... did someone catch him? Whoever it was talking, he couldn't make out their voices.

Whatever was going on, he wasn't going to try figuring it out at the moment. Where ever this was, it was warm, whatever he was lying on was soft, and over all it seemed like it was safe. For the time being, until all of his energy came back, he was going to lie here.

"Nah, maybe you should go let one of the med machines or somebody look over you. As a matter of fact... maybe I can get that blind kid to come over here. Holeman's his name. In the ninja world he was a genius medic who'd heal people as a small child. I'll call and see if he can come here to check you out."

He wished there was some way he could look and see if Vigilante was truly alright as well, but when it came to him, they'd have to do things the old fashioned way; wait and see. "That idiot who kidnapped her injected her with something that turned her back into a human," Jr answered Devon's question after she came in. "She's not a Vampire anymore. I'm curious as to how these jokers got the funding to afford whatever was in that needle - also that collar she had around her neck - right under our noses. I think i'm gonna have to go do some digging around, there's something i'm not seeing here..."

Jr looked at Vigilante a while. The guy was truly something else just to be only a human. Jr made sure to record everything he'd seen in that building so that his father could see it. "Anyways, come with me to the office Cala, Vigilante will be alright here by himself for a while. As a Company employee I have to make sure you're 100% and those assholes didn't put anything else in you." Jr wasn't taking no for an answer. He grabbed her wrists and lead her out of the lounge and back to the office. Reaching over the desk he caused one of the memory seats to rise up out of the floor and sat her down in it. He pushed several other buttons too, and the sounds of many guns cocking to fire could be heard. The sound made it seem that if there were thousands of guns. Cameras with red beams began to shine in various areas.

Jr opened a drawer and put something to his ear. "Yo... Hey, anyone hear me?... yeah? Cool. Where's Holeman, he around?... Holeman? Awesome. Listen dude, could you come to Edge, to the tower? there's something I need you to do, I need your medical expertise. Would you mind?... You be happy to? Kick ass. I'll expect you in the next few minutes then?... Nice, see you then. Just fly up to the window you used last time." Jr put whatever it was back into the drawer. He came back over near Cala then, snapping his fingers. One of the robots came rolling into the room, stopping next to her. "Alright, Holeman should be here any minute now. You hungry? Thirsty? Get something up in you, you gotta be hungry."

Jr put a hand on her forehead to do his own prognosis. He was trying to do his job as Boss properly, and looked genuinely worried about her.

She returned her sisters hug, not surprised that Devon caught on quickly that she now breathed and had a beating heart. It likely was easy to tell that her body temperature was higher than it had been when she was a vampire as well.

Holeman? She had heard of the kid and some of the adventures him and that Mitsukai girl who was now combined with Amaranth had gone on. She wouldn't mind being checked out by him to ensure she really was alright, but she was still iffy on leaving Matt's side. "They seemed like a cult, to be honest.", she responded after a moment of thought. "All of them wore what I thought was a plus sign at first, but I realize it was likely an equal armed cross. It had a red circle in the center. They also kept saying something funny, I heard it while they were having a meeting during... well, when they left me alone. They said 'may the father of understand guide us' or something. It was freaky."

While she didn't want to leave the room she knew Junior was right, and therefore didn't put up any resistance as he led her back to the office and into one of the comfortable foam chairs. She then heard the sound of many guns cocking before Junior started to talk to someone who she realized was Holeman. She glanced around, wondering if her sister had followed her or stayed behind.

Cala then looked to the robot and thought for a moment. She was used to hunger in the vampire sense, but that was gone now and it took her a moment to remember 'how to be human' so to speak. She was both thirsty and hungry but she was more thirsty than the latter. "Both really, but more thirsty than hungry.." She then felt Junior put a hand on her head, likely checking her over himself: he looked worried so she didn't complain. "Don't know how well my stomach will handle food though, maybe I should just start small, water and some crackers or something."

Devon listened to Junior's explanation and looked her sister over carefully. She was worried about her, a lot. She figured Junior had gotten rid of her wounds and stuff that had been inflicted on her, but the idea of her sister possibly having something else inside of her? It frightened Devon. What had these bastards done to her? She listened then as Cala explained that they sounded like a cult, and after Cala explained why that was Devon couldn't help but agree.

She took another look at Matt and then followed her sister and Junior back to the office. She stood off to the side and out of the way, but couldn't take her eyes off of her sister. Her sister was human, and if nothing else was wrong with her than they would be lucky. A frown was on Devon's face and she lifted up her glasses to rub at her eyes before she fixed them back in place. Now, more than ever, she wanted to do something to help her sister. She had devices that she had sent Amaranth over to that zombie infested land with, perhaps they would come in handy? Or maybe something more? Her mind was racing while she waited for the arrival of Holeman, so she could know for sure if her sister really was okay or not.

And then...all was quiet. Was he actually dead? Was this heaven? Some kind of afterlife? Why couldn't he move? Why was he hovering just between consciousness and unconsciousness? Now really wasn't the time to be worried about himself. Had Cala made it out alright, or had those pieces of shit came and captured her again? Was everything he did for nothing?

No, no reason to be thinking like that at the moment. He was positive somebody came out of the tower. Somebody had to be watching; somebody was always watching. He began to think of ways to counter this condition he was in should he ever be pushed to using Super Mode again. Even in this condition his mind worked like a machine. he couldn't afford to be out of action like this...

The cloud carried him off of Sunset Island, which looked to be way bigger than it used to be. What the hell happened while he was asleep? Was he still dreaming?

These people here had strange powers, and he was getting used to it all. Maybe Amaranth was the cause of this. After all, she said the island they were on was alive. Right now wasn't the time to be questioning this; someone finally needed the use of his medical skills. He felt way out of practice having been here in this world for so long, so a chance to do what he was best at was something he wasn't going to pass up on.

So, the Ranton creation carried him across the river and into the giant city. Many people could see the kid floating along on the cloud, and many were used to seeing the strange sights of this city. The cloud carried him high into the sky, and to the window of the office on the top floor of Darkman Tower.

Assuming it was cool to just come in, the blind kid pushed opened the window and stepped inside, dispersing his cloud. Holeman looked the same as he always did. He was a short, muscular kid wearing a dark blue Uchiha Clan shirt with the big collar. He had on red ankle length pants and red sandals. Red fingerless gloves were on both hands. on his head, a red du-rag was tied so that it covered his eyes. Red headphones were on his ears, the top of them hanging down the back of his neck. A silly grin was on his lips.

"Hey," he said, waving to those in the office. "Long time no see. Been a while since I was here, what's up? Who do you want me to look at?"

Holeman came in. Jr grinned himself, for the kid was a strange one, but cool to have such a handicap. Jr heard that he could see better than people who had normal eyes. The kid was always in a good mood, and seemed to radiate it on people around him; he'd seen it first hand.

"Yeah, good to see you too man. I need you to look over Cala here, she's had... quite a day," Jr said. "I just want to make sure she's alright. I'd have one of my machines do it, but i'd rather have someone versed in medical stuffs do it. You don't mind, do you?"

It would be interesting to see medical ninja techniques put to use. He'd never gotten the chance really in the other world, since most over there were all talk and ran away. Honestly he was looking forward to this...

Cala watched as Holeman came in through the window of the office in a method she hadn't seen before. Her head tilted as it sometimes did as her curiosity peaked. She gave a half wave to indicate she was Cala while wondering exactly how this kid was going to be able to tell if there was something wrong with her or not. He was a medical expert, but all she knew was that doctors in this world used machines and other devices to look inside of you. What would he use?

When Junior said she had quite a day she flinched slightly: the blood all of her clothing would definitely speak volumes even if the wounds were gone. She watched as the robot returned with a bottle of cool water and some crackers like she'd stated. She set the crackers on her lap and took a sip of the water before looking to Holeman, curious to see what he'd do.

Her injuries had been healed thanks to Junior's technique but her heart was still beating rather hard due to so long of not having to on top of all of her worry over Vigilante, and because of this she was flushed and her temperature was up. She probably needed to get a good bit of liquids and stuff into her as well, since her vampire self hadn't needed them but her human self definitely would.

Devon watched the robot bring Cala a bottle of water and some crackers like she had mentioned and turned her attention to Holeman as he arrived. She kept out of the way as she watched what was going on. Her arms folded across her chest as she leaned her weight on one leg. She let her mind run over ideas and stuff, ways that she could help out Cala.

She nodded when Junior said that that Cala had had a long day and gave her sister's shoulder a gentle squeeze as she watched her take a sip of water. She then moved over to the window and looked out. She expected almost to see the same people that had kidnapped Cala coming up to the tower, but there was no one but the regular folks out there wandering around.

He found himself able to open his eyes somewhat. He was in a room, that looked like a lounge area. Where was this? he could move his eyes, but he couldn't move his head. He looked out into what he could see of the hall, and figured that maybe, just maybe, he was in Darkman Tower.

So someone had seen him on those cameras and came to rescue them before he fell and crashed. It also meant that Cala had to be safe and sound. With no reason to really be worried then, he closed his eyes and continued to relax, letting his energy slowly return to him.

"Quite a day, huh? Looks like it," said Holeman, coming closer, noticing the blood on her clothes. "It looks like somebody already healed her up too."

Holeman rubbed his chin some as he "looked" her over. Even blind folded, he went about the motions as if he were staring at her with real eyes. "You're pretty. Who would do this to you? I bet they're all beat up and mangled by now, huh?" Holeman laughed some. "Well, it's none of my business what's going on, so none of you have to tell me. I was asked here to do a job so i'll do it..."

Holeman helped Cala up to her feet after he took her hands, then touched the back of his neck and went back to rubbing his chin as he stared at her. He put his face very close to her body and looked her all over. To ordinary folk he may have seemed like a pervert, but he'd put a very special form of vision into play with his radar ability. it allowed him to see inside of her body in 3 different views; to see her bones, all of which were intact, to see her nervous system, which seemed to be working perfectly, and to see her veins and blood flow. This is where he saw something strange.

Medical Eye:

"Ahhh.... Seems like she has something funky looking in her blood. Some kinda... foreign substance. I'm gonna get rid of it, just to be on the safe side. Now this won't hurt a bit, so could you hold up your shirt a moment? Up to where your boobies start. I promise I won't touch anything i'm not supposed to, ok?"

Assuming that Cala pulled her shirt up, Holeman put his left hand on her stomach up near her chest, which was glowing a greenish color. In his right hand appeared what looked to be a knife. "Stay perfectly still, I promise this won't hurt... if I hurt you, you can beat me up, ok?" Holeman made a small incision in the beginning of the line that lead down the center of her stomach. Squeezing the knife in his right hand, it disappeared into blue smoke. Holeman next did what looked like a pulling motion. As he pulled his hand away from Cala's stomach, what looked like a big green bubble formed, and a purple fluid - the same purple fluid injected into her by the Templar leader - began to fill the bubble. Holeman did the pulling motion until it was all drained out of her bloodstream. Producing a small Ranton Cloud to put the bubble on top of, his left hand began to glow a brighter green as the incision closed up and disappeared.

"There ya go. Nothing else is wrong with you, you're healthy. Besides that purple crap floating around in your blood you're just fine. A pretty girl of pretty health." Holeman gave a big comical grin then. "Belly button!" he said next, poking the dimple of her stomach with an index finger.

He turned then to look at the purple stuff floating on his cloud. "So, what is this crap, huh?"

Jr watched the kid in action. He'd never gotten the chance to see something like this. he could sense that something strange was going on in his head, and perhaps he had several different ways of being able to see, sort of like his father did. After all, this was the very person who taught his father how to use that radar of his, so as the originator of the ability, maybe he had other ways of seeing that he didn't teach his father. Jr was curious of just how many ways this kid was able to see.

The green glow in his hands felt like healing energies. He was able to make a knife-like scalpel composed of energy, and then somehow pull what the templar guy injected her with out of her bloodstream into what looked like a balloon. His healing energies sealed up the incision he made. It all looked pretty interesting.

"Well, Cala used to be a vampire. A bad guy injected her with this stuff, and now she's a normal human again," answered Jr. "It's good to know that she's alright, and whatever this shit is didn't do any lasting damage. I guess I can relax now."

Jr let out a sigh. Cala was fine, and Vigilante just needed to rest up. He'd still be on guard, and wouldn't let anyone leave the tower without an escort. If he had to, he'd go with them himself. these guys were probably still out there, and Jr was taking no chances.

Cala couldn't answer who had done this to her because she didn't know. All she had known was they were after something called an Apple of Eden and willing to kidnap and torture someone for it. She watched Holeman curiously as he put his face close to her body and seemed to be looking at - or perhaps through? - her. He seemed to be able to see things going on inside of her body without any sort of fancy machinery or medical equipment: to the point to where he could see the purple stuff within her bloodstream.

She was curious as to how exactly he was going to get rid of it and lifted her shirt as he had described. She then watched as he put his left hand on her stomach up near her chest and saw that it was glowing a green color. When what appeared like a knife appeared in her right hand she winced but otherwise forced herself to be perfectly still. She then watched as he made an incision in her and began to pull the purple liquid out of her that she had been injected with. Once that was done Holeman healed the incision that he made and placed the ball onto a cloud he seemed to make out of thin air. "Thank you.", she said to Holeman.

She grinned when Holeman poked her and chuckled softly before looking over to Junior as he explained what the purple stuff. "And thank you Junior, for getting me and stopping him from falling." She lowered her shirt back down and then looked down at herself properly for the first time. She needed a quick shower but at the same time didn't want Vigilante to wake up and be by himself. She bit her lip as she thought about what to do. Perhaps it would be better if Vigilante didn't see her all soaked in blood? Yes, that seemed like the best idea. "Since I'm okay I think I'm going to go grab a quick shower and then go and sit with Matt until he wakes up. I want to get this blood off my first and get in some clean clothes. The smell of the blood is making me sick..."

If no objections were made she would turn and walk out of the room, down the hallway, head down a floor, and to her suite where she would take an exceptionally fast shower...

Devon watched the whole process of Holeman pulling the purple liquid that Cala had been injected with back out of her body. Whatever it was had killed the virus that caused vampirism and it was likely a good thing that Holeman was removing it because who knew what other kind of damage it could cause if left to linger. She watched as Cala fixed her shirt and thanked both Holeman and Junior before turning to clean up.

"I'll go chill with Matt till she gets there in case he wakes up and wants to know where she is.." She looked to Holeman. "Thank you for helping my sister." She then looked to Junior. "You too. I was afraid I was going to lose my sister today, I really was... but everything seemed to work out." Before she got emotional again she turned and walked out of the office and down to the lounge that Matt was in.

She walked in and sat down nearby him, glancing him over. "I dunno if you can hear me... but Cala's alright. She's been looked over, she's going to be okay. She's getting cleaned up and then she'll come up to see you again. Thank you for saving my sister."

A voice. A voice was thanking him... Who was it? Was it Devon?... She said Cala was alright. She said Cala had been looked at and was getting cleaned up, and then she was coming to see him. She said "thank you for saving my sister," which confirmed that it was Devon...

Everything began to feel more real and not like just a dream as time passed, so he was sure this was really happening, and he was really in Darkman Tower. He didn't make any sudden movements, nor did he try to open his eyes again. He just lay there, and tried to figure out a way to counter this side effect to Super Mode draining him like this.

Holeman nodded his head with his big grin when Cala said thank you. He also nodded while smiling when Devon thanked him next. "Anything for pretty girls!" he said while cheesing. "Don't rely on these machine things, whenever someone gets hurt, just call me! I'm never too far away."

He turned to pat Jr on one of his shoulders. "Well if we're done here i'm gonna head back. Remember! Just call if you need me!" Jr moved back to the window with the bubble and jumped out after opening it. Soon after the kid could be seen floating back towards Sunset Isle atop one of his clouds...

[Thread Exit]

Jr nodded and waved a hand to show that thanking him wasn't necessary. "You two are my responsibility. I'm only doing what my dad would do if he were still Boss," he said. He also waved a hand with a nod in response to Devon as well. "I told you we'd get your sister back, and we did. I don't make promises I don't keep..."

Jr also gave a third nod to Holeman before he left. "I'll remember that, friend. Thanks for coming over." With the office now emptied out, Jr went and sat behind the desk again, relaxing into the leathery comfortableness. He let out a long sigh, wondering what the next episode would bring...

Cala took as quick a shower as she could manage. She scrubbed every bit of blood off of herself and ensured she no longer smelled like it. Her hair was likewise washed and conditioned very well so that it too didn't smell like blood. By the time she was done the smell of roses - the scent of both her bodywash and shampoo - hung around her. She dried quickly, forced a brush through her still soaking wet hair, and then got dressed in a black t-shirt, black soft pants, and a pair of flip flops.

Once dressed appropriately enough to wander around the tower she was back out of the suite and up the hallway. In the elevator she went up another floor, exited the hallway, and started down the hallway. She entered into the lounge once more to see Matt exactly where he had been when she left only a short while before. "Thanks, Devon.", she said to her sister before going and sitting in a chair right next to Matt's.

She turned sideways in her chair so that she was facing Matt, bringing her legs up to her chest and wrapping her arms around her legs comfortable. "I'm back..", she said softly. She didn't want to disturb him if he was sleeping because if he was it was likely because he needed it, but she wanted to ensure he at least knew she was there.

Devon looked up when Cala returned and nodded to her sister. "No problem. No problem at all. I'll be downstairs if you need me working on my project." She then looked back to Matt once more before she turned and walked out of the room to leave the two of them alone. She was glad that everything worked out, and happy that a lot of stuff seemed to fix itself, but she was still worried about her sister now that she was human. If this could happen to her with all of those powers, speed and strength, then what could happen to her without all of it?

Devon felt that now, more than ever before, she needed to get this mini Wolfenstein finished.

Now someone else was in the room, smelling like they'd just gotten out of the shower. Thinking of it, he needed a shower himself. He was still in his black hoodie, jeans and sneakers. All of that fighting probably had him all smelly and sour.

He was lucky to even be alive with how hard he pushed himself. As soon as he was able he was going home to take a long shower. He was going to order a pizza and eat the whole thing. Then he was probably going to sleep for 3 days.

He hated being helpless like this, waiting for his energy to come back. He would really have to come up with a countermeasure to this downtime after using the new Super Mode. Being down this long wouldn't do....

After continuing to sit there, curled up in a ball and leaning on her side, she began to hum softly. She wondered what it was her sister was making. Devon had mentioned a new project but hadn't gone into much detail about it. Cala also began to think of what she was going to do herself: she was completely human now which meant she didn't have all of that super speed and strength to rely on anymore: she would have to think of something else.

Her stomach growled and she shifted, remembering that she had water and crackers that she should have been eating. She opened up the pack of crackers and took one out, munching softly on it. Her stomach growled again after she finished the first cracker, and she unscrewed the cap from her bottle of water and took a sip of it, and then another.

There was a sonic boom as Alec traveled through the skies above Edge city. He quickly made his way to the tower and slid opened the office window, which had recently become a popular entry and exit point. Stepping inside and pushing the window back closed, he saw that neither Jr or Niala were awake yet. Typing on the computer a while, he came upon a video. A building that was about 15 stories high was the sight of some sort of action. A crowd was gathered all around the neighborhood surrounding the building. There were explosions, and every so often someone came flying out of a window or through the wall of the building, and there were stains on the ground and the surrounding buildings where they'd landed. Is this what happened yesterday?

This was Vigilante's doing. Alec watched the whole video with wide eyes from front to back. Like a man possessed, Vigilante went inside and fought his way to the top floor, letting no one stand in his way. He even killed many of them with no hesitation. Near the end, the guy from the ransom video tried to negotiate for his life, but Vigilante didn't hear him. Before he was hit with a blow and glued to the side of that helicopter with some sort of white stuff, something he said made Alec rewind and zoom in on his face. He said "Someone will just replace me."

As he thought, this was just the beginning. It had to be. These guys were seriously funded. They could afford technology and drugs that turned off people's powers. After Vigilante started flying away with Cala, it seemed that the advanced mode that Vigilante was in had a time limit and wore off. Jr came to rescue them before anything more bad happened, and he brought them both back here. Vigilante was in the next room in a bad way, and Jr called Holeman over to examine Cala. Holeman removed the last traces of the drug from Cala's bloodstream.

Alec left the office and walked into the lounge with Cala and Vigilante, who looked like he was still out. He placed his walking stick before him and leaned on it, looking the kid over. He then looked at Cala, realizing that she was now just a mere human.

"I was sure he'd get you out of there, but I never expected him to build a whole new suit. He even made a new weapon, some white sticky stuff too... Super powers can't compare to the kinds of brains that kid has... You alright, Cala? I see Holeman came over here and took the rest of that shit out of your blood, what are you gonna do? You gonna turn back into a Malkavian?"
