| Avery went to her room, grabbing up her own little bag of supplies. It had been something that she had thought about doing for a while but had never seen the need for back in the other dimension. It was a bag of supplies, some money, clothing, snacks, and something to drink. The one in which she had packed for Artemis had snacks, fruit drinks, clothing, and a few toys to keep her entertained; enough to last and to keep her entertained while they were in Edge.
After she grabbed her own bag she headed to the next room over; Artemis's bedroom. While she walked she spoke into the wireless comm, "I'm heading to Edge with Artemis to keep an eye on what's going on with Alec. I'll let you know what I find out as it happens. Dez, if you get that cure found let me or Junior know right away." She had reached Artemis by that point and saw that her daughter had her bag with her. She scooped her and the pack up and headed down the steps. They crossed the checkard floor of the main room, and were out the door and across the drawbridge in a flash.
She knew that once she got to Edge using the majority of her power would prove dangerous, but for now she could. Manipulating the air around her as she had always done she lifted herself and Artemis into the air; shooting straight towards Edge City. Out of the darkness and across the water they went. Upon reaching the edge of Edge she landed with Artemis. She shifted her daughter onto her back after a quick shift of her packs and then took off running straight towards the tower she could see in the distance. She reached it quickly enough, and slowed...

| Destiny had been about to land on the roof of Darkman Tower when she noticed Avery and Artemis down below. Apparently Destiny had worked faster than she thought, or Avery was playing it safe and hadn't used any of her powers to get here. She sped down towards the ground like a blur, wings coming out and catching the wind at just the right moment to keep her from slamming face first into the ground. She landed lightly nearby Avery and made a 'follow me' gesture with her free hand - since her right hand currently held the cure against the virus.
Sure that Avery and Artemis would be right behind her she led the way into Darkman Tower and over to the elevator. She pressed the button, waited, and then stepped onto the elevator. She kept the door open long enough for Avery and Artemis to enter with her before punching the button that would take her up to the floor the office was on. A speedy ride later and she was holding it open for Avery to keep following her before walking down the hallway.
She didn't bother with knocking, figuring that her brother likely knew that she, Avery, and Artemis had arrived, and just opened the door. She left it open for Avery and Artemis to follow. She walked up to her brother's desk and lightly placed down the bag. "I found the cure; replicated it, tested it to double check everything was okay. It's housed in plastic vials so there's no risk of them breaking, and I've included several multi-packs of syringes to administer it should that be needed." She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose which caused the black silk cloth she wore to cover her eyes to shift slightly. "How's dad doing?"

| Jr was sitting behind the desk in the large, plush office. So far, being a Boss was sucking some serious asshole. He was sure he was going to have to watch his father be eaten alive. It wasn't very entertaining to watch him star in his own survival horror drama. The sleepy look that he usually had on his face was instead a grim one filled with frustration and agitation. Wrinkles could clearly be seen in his forehead from how hard he was frowning.
Avery and Artemis were on their way here. The scanners as well as his own senses told him so. His sister wasn't very far behind them, and eventually, all three of them were walking into the office, around the time that the large holographic screen showed his father and Vigilante jumping out of the office building to avoid a woman with a sword, who'd mouthed the words "I came here to offer my help...I don't eat people!"
Why would she have said such a thing? Did they see something that he didn't? They were all too far away to do any scans of his own; all Jr could do for the moment was watch. Dez said she found a cure, but Jr didn't know how to respond to that. He watched the screen, seeing the rocket arrive, and his father taking his dufflebag out. At least now he had all of his guns, and would properly be able to defend himself. Alec and The Vigilante began running and jumping across the buildings. He typed on the keyboard several moments, plotting their trajectory. It looked as if they were both headed toward the Police Station.

| Avery had glanced over at Destiny's landing, surprised to see her here so soon. Given that the female didn't report some sort of problem and simply gestured for her to follow her she did so while keeping Artemis in her arms. She followed her into the elevator, and then out of it and into Junior's office as she lead the way. She glanced around a bit, curiously, and put Artemis down after a quick hug.
Artemis, instead of paying attention to anything that was going on, went over to the window and stared out of it with a silent 'wow' being mouthed. She would be distracted with what was going on outside of the window for a while.
Avery listened to Dez speak up about having created a cure, which Avery thought was damn fast. But, she didn't comment, instead she turned her attention towards the monitors, worried, and frowning slightly. She wasn't angry at Alec for going over there, she figured he likely had his reasons for it, but that wouldn't stop her from worrying. She was curious though as to how Destiny was going to get her cure over to Pacific City and more importantly get it into the city without the hordes of zombies getting in the way.

| Destiny watched Artemis go over to the window and took in the amazed look on her face; she wasn't paying any attention to this - like a normal child she was blissfully unaware of the worry and frustration everyone else was feeling. It wasn't a bad thing, not at all. Artemis wouldn't willingly leave Avery's side, but that didn't mean she needed to know or be made to understand what was going on - not unless she absolutely had to. So, her staring out of the window and happy as could be was just fine in Destiny's opinion.
With her brother's lack of a response she turned her attention to the monitors, seeing their father's duffle bag arrive via a rocket. "You wouldn't happen to have another one of those, would you? I don't fancy sending someone in through all of that shit, not after being informed of that supression shield around that place. I could fly a helicopter in, but that'd likely be too noisy and draw attention... but a rocket would work." She wanted her father and the Vigilante to have the cure on the off chance that something did happen, and the faster it could get to them the better. Destiny wasn't even sure if she would be able to move at full speed over in Pacific City or if even her angelic speed would be canceled out by their version of the Dead Zone.
She looked to her brother, awaiting his answer. If he didn't have another rocket she would find another way to get this cure to them as fast as possible - even if it meant having to do something like getting a plane up as high as possible and parachuting out of it and to their location - parachutes didn't make noise after all.

| ”By the time it gets there, they're gonna be inside the police station. It's getting dark over there and it's starting to rain,” he said, bringing up the weather diagram. A storm pattern was moving above PC. ”They've gotta be tired and hungry by now. They're probably gonna go in there, clear out some space and crash for the night. Sending it over there to them now could expose them and cause one or both of them to get hurt. Let's just hold off for now. Dad has his guns, and Vigilante has that kinetic shock wave thing he does; they should be fine for now.”
After watching his dad and Vigilante on the roof of the building across from the police station for a while, Jr began to go through the camera feeds of the police station. Surprisingly only one camera in the whole building was out: the women's locker room. It didn't seem like there'd be anything of importance in there, so it didn't matter.
He looked back at his little sister and how fascinated she was just for looking out of the window. Dark Tower wasn't as tall as this one, so she'd never been this high up before, where everything below looked like toys. They were so high up that clouds could be seen moving below, around the 850th floor. She seemed totally oblivious to everything that was going on, like the fact that at anytime, their father could become the entree of a crowd of undead freaks. So simple was the mind of a toddler. He began to think that maybe he should follow her example... But this job was starting to be a real pain.

| Avery watched the monitors closely, arms folding across her chest. She understood Junior's reasonings for wanting to wait; drawing any sort of attention to them wouldn't be good, especially with it getting dark and even starting to rain and storm. No, it was better to wait until tomorrow morning, or when they were in less of a dangerous place, to send the cure over to them; she could only imagine the outcome otherwise... Attracting a horde to their location. Hell. There could still be bandits or the less desireable over there who would snatch that cure and try selling it to make themselves rich.
Artemis remained plastered to the window, nose pressed up against it as she stared down at the clouds. A giggle would escape her every so often; she was still in her own happy little world, currently imagining flying through the clouds with her own set of wings. The thought caused her to blink, move her face away from the window, and look directly towards Junior and Destiny. "When will I get wings? I wanna fly in the clouds!" A bright smile was still on her face; and she seemed to be radiating happiness around her.
Avery blinked, looked between Junior and Destiny, and waited for one of them to answer the question: she herself had no idea when angels got their wings since she wasn't one. She knew how to fly differently, but that involved manipulating air, something she wasn't sure Artemis would be able to do yet, at least not to that extent.

| Destiny nodded. She knew they would have to wait; especially as she saw the rain begin to fall. Even if she would have loved for them to have the cure with them tonight there was no way to safely do that. No matter what, no matter what way came across her mind to do it, it just wasn't safe - especially for her father and the Vigilante. She sighed in frustration, even as she nodded in agreement. "You're right... it wouldn't be safe... still don't like it though.", and she didn't doubt Junior didn't like it either - neither of them wanted their father in that situation anymore than Avery did, or Artemis if she ever happened to realize what was going on.
Their little sister was in her happy place though, radiating so much happiness it would have likely been infectious had things been different. Destiny started to pace; keeping her movements slow enough so that she was visible - she did it because she felt trapped. She wanted to go running over to Pacific with the cure but knew that by no means was that a good idea. She'd only be adding to the growing pool of people already in danger: that, and she was pretty sure Junior wouldn't have allowed her out of the office if she even suggested it.
When Artemis asked her question she paused though, brows furrowed in deep thought. She got her wings a very long time ago; almost too long to remember, but she was pretty sure she got them around the time all of the fighting started... when she was four. "I dunno if it's the same for everyone, but I believe I got mine when I was about four years old; right before... well, around four."

| Destiny seemed just as frustrated as he did. He didn't expect or plan to be here. He wanted to go back to lounging in the hot paradise of Sunset Island, sleeping most of the time, eating chips, staring at nearly naked women. His father and Vigilante entered the police building. Jr didn't want Avery to have to stand, so he pressed a button that caused the memory alloy seat to rise from the floor. At his little sister's question, he turned to look at her again. In that other world, she'd probably have had to spend all kinds of chakra to be able to fly, but here, at home, things would be much more simple. Jr remembered that she wanted to learn to fly in the other world. He turned the chair toward her and put both of his hands on Artemis' shoulders. He didn't have to concentrate as hard as he would in the ninja world, but it did take concentration so he didn't screw this up. He decided to let his sister realize her Angelic potential with a time acceleration trick he'd learned, while allowing her to stay a toddler. Artemis would remain young, while other things about her would begin to “fast forward” so to speak. A halo appeared above her head. Senses she hadn't developed yet would suddenly become of use to her. A pair of white feathered wings very similar to his own appeared on her back in a painless process. Her hair would grow out somewhat longer, all the while she didn't grow an inch. - Time Manipulation:
The user can manipulate the flow of time of a general area or a specific target in various manners, the basics revolving around accelerating, slowing, stopping and even rewinding or looping. The range of area affected is proportional to the mastery of the user, with top levels can affect the entire space and time continuum.
When it was over Jr let Artemis go. ”...Things are probably gonna be a little weird from now on, Art,” said as he turned back toward the desk and resumed watching his father and Vigilante. ”You'll get used to it after a while though. You're gonna be able to hear, see and feel things you couldn't before. You can move really fast too, so go slow for now, or you'll hurt yourself. If Dez doesn't wanna show you how to use your wings and speed, just lemme make sure dad and V are safe and i'll show you...”

| Avery looked to the chair that Junior made appear and took the opportunity to sit down; she was still able to see the monitors and watch what was happening which was all that mattered to her. She said a soft "Thanks" before focusing her attention back to watching. That was, at least until Junior turned his chair to face Artemis. She watched him curiously, eyebrows raising as she watched Artemis gain a halo, her hair grow out somewhat, and her gain wings, all while not changing otherwise. Avery smiled gently, glad that Artemis wasn't going to have to wait to get her wings - she really did want to be able to fly.
To say that Artemis was absolutely amazed was an understatement; bubbling over with happiness so much so that she couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear or giggling happily away. She had been curious at first when her big brother had turned to face her and placed his hands on her shoulders, but that curiousity had quickly turned to amazement and wonder when she realized what he was doing. Her senses had increased drastically, now able to hear things she couldn't before, see things better than ever, and even though she was across the room she could smell her mother's familiar rose scented perfume. But, better than that, she now had her halo and wings; pretty feathery wings that had her looking over her shoulder and spinning in a circle when Junior let go of her so that she could attempt to better see. At Junior's suggestion she looked to Dez hopefully; hands coming together as she bounced in place on the balls of her feet. "Please, please, please!" While she waited for Destiny to respond she turned back to her brother and gave him a hug, along with an excited "Thank you!", before looking back to her sister.
Avery grinned before turning her attention back to the monitors, knowing that Artemis was going to be plenty occupied for the next few days with learning all about her new abilities and wings.

| Destiny turned her attention from the monitors she too had been staring at and to Junior as she noticed a new glow out of the corner of her eye. Junior had done something that allowed Artemis to gain her wings, halo, and extra senses that she likely wouldn't have had for years to come, along with a few extra inches of hair, all while still remaining her little toddler size. Destiny couldn't help but grin, despite everything going on, at Artemis' excitement.
Knowing that her little sister wasn't likely going to sit still until she at least had one lesson she gave a nod - besides, it would do wonders to distract the both of them, plus give Avery a break for a little bit as she too looked very worried. She held her hand out to Artemis after she gave Junior a hug, and once the child had joined her led her up to the roof for her first lesson in flying and speed.

| Amaranth flew across the skies of Edge City, her new outfit (display image) causing her to blend in rather well minus her long red hair that was back in a ponytail, headed towards Darkman Tower in the distance. She was moving faster than she normally bothered to but that was mostly because she was beginning to sense that something was indeed wrong. With what she had seen of her own video footage, how she had watched a frustrated and worried looking Avery and Artemis, as well as her own mother heading straight towards Edge, she was already beginning to feel a little worried herself.
She landed within seconds on the roof of Darkman Tower and after a quick look around and a check to make sure her gunscythe was still peacefully folded at her hip she walked over to the door that led to the stairwell. Through the door she didn't bother to take the steps one at a time and simply jumped. She landed softly enough and was through the door without missing a beat. When she reached the hallway she blinked, noticing her mother and a very angelic looking Artemis, go quickly by and up the steps she had just gone down. Shrugging that bit of curiosity off for the moment she walked into the office and glanced about with her silvery colored gaze.
She noticed that Avery was still in the office, as was Junior; both seeming frustrated about something. She followed Avery's gaze to the monitors she was staring at, concern crossing Amaranth's features rather quickly. "I thought something might be happening when I saw you three leave Makkura rather fast. Someone mind telling me what I'm looking at exactly, and what exactly is going on?"

| Jr gave Artemis a hug back with one arm when she said thanks. Dez took her out of the room next, most likely to go teach her a few things about being an Angel so that she didn't hurt herself. It wasn't much longer after they'd left that the niece Amaranth walked in, looking different than she usually did. He could smell the familiar scent of the water and the beach on her, and he became more frustrated that he couldn't go lounge on the beaches like he used to 5 years ago.
She asked what was going on. ”...Pacific City was once a rival to Edge. It was ran by human scientists that were jealous of your grandfather and great grandfather Darkman, who, of course you know, are supernatural beings. The scientists fancied themselves Gods among men and started doing experiments on humans and other species, even with dad and grand dad warning them not to. An accident happened which caused a viral outbreak, killing millions of people and causing them to be reanimated as the walking dead.
“Your grandfather, by some means, is now caught in the middle of their zombie apocalypse over there... To make matters worse, the scientists managed to make a copy cat Dead Zone, like the one we have here, and dad can't use any of his Angelic abilities. The Vigilante showed up here when he found out we were all back from that weak ass ninja world to see if he still had a job in The Company. I promoted him and sent him to rescue dad, since his suit is man-made and wouldn't be affected by their Dead Zone, but dad said he doesn't want to leave. He said he thinks he got put over there for a reason, and that he wants to get to the bottom of it.
“So as you can see, Vigilante made himself his side-kick and is sticking with him, I sent dad's dufflebag to him via Company rocket, and your mom made a cure just in case one of them gets infected. We can't send it to them yet because it's dark and raining over there, and they took cover in the police station for the night. I can't help but to still be worried though...” He thought of the woman in the skyscraper with the sword, the one who said 'she wasn't there to eat them.' What was up with that? ”...It appears there's more over there than just zombies... something worse.”

| Avery glanced over to Amaranth as she entered; not really surprised that she had come since she had expected someone to show up from Sunset Island sooner or later. She then turned her attention back on the screens. She didn't plan on going anywhere, or sleeping for that matter, until she was sure Alec and the Vigilante were safe home. It wasn't like Moors needed a lot of sleep anyway; most went several days between a good nights rest.
She stayed silent as Junior explained to Amaranth what was going on. The attention she was paying to the conversation heightened as she listened to Junior say that it seemed there was something over there worse than the mindless hordes of zombies that were roaming around, but before she could say anything or ask about it, Amaranth had: so she kept silent and waited for Junior to answer.

| Amaranth listened carefully as her Uncle Junior explained how Pacific City was once a rival of Edge. How it was ran by human scientists that were jealous of grandad and great grandad because they were supernatural beings. How the scientists fanced themselves Gods and started doing experiments on humans and other species even though they were warned against it. She listened as he explained about how an accident happened that caused a viral outbreak which turned millions of people into the walking dead: zombies - just like the pet that her mother had. Amaranth figured that this was exactly the reason why grandad had warned her against playing God back before everyone had gone over to ninja land: and it was exactly the sort of thing she feared which was exactly why she had listened and not done so since minus when he asked for Aunt Demi's sake.
Amaranth walked over to the large window and looked out of it as she listened as her Uncle Junior went on to explain how grandad was now caught in the middle of the zombie outbreak and to make matters worse there was something much like the Dead Zone in Pacific City that stopped grandad or likely any other supernatural being from using their powers - it reminded her of the negation field she had up on her island that did much the same thing to anyone not of Kane blood or who had her special rune on them. She was glad to hear that the Vigilante had returned and better yet was acting as grandad's sidekick since he refused to leave, and even more glad to hear that her mother had finished a cure in case one of them happened to get scratched or bitten.
When her Uncle Junior brought up that it looked like there was something worse over there than just the mindless dead she turned her attention from the window back to him, arms folding across her chest. "Two questions. What could be worse than a mindless zombie, and what's the likely-hood of those zombies getting out of Pacific City and somehow making it to either Edge or Sunset Island?" Amaranth had more than enough defenses against most things that might attack her island, but those beasts weren't equipped for killing in the specific way that you needed to kill a zombie, namely destroying the brain. So, she needed to know if she should tighten security, or start working on something that could take out a zombie before they hit.

| Jr typed on the desk keyboard a while. A 3D map of Pacific City appeared on the large holographic screen. Underneath the Downtown area, there appeared to be what looked like some sort of secret lab. It didn't look easy to get through, which further fueled his speculation that there was something more to just a simple viral outbreak, and something more to these zombies.
”See there?... Secret labs and shit... a few hours ago, dad and vigilante ran into some chick with a sword,” he said, rewinding the video to before his father and Vigilante jumped out of that sky scraper. ”That chick there... she said 'I came to offer my help, I don't eat people.' Maybe i'm wrong, maybe i'm thinking into this too hard... but, maybe, just maybe, they had some kinda secret project going on down there aside all the normal experimenting going on, and before all of this went down, maybe whatever they were trying to do, they were successful at it. Maybe this chick here is one of the products of that success; some kinda... 'intelligent infected.' Who knows though, don't quote me on it...”
Jr caused the camera to turn back to normal, to the lobby that his father and Vigilante were currently hiding out in. ”...And you don't have to worry about any of them getting here. There's only one way in and out of Pacific City: The Bridge. Even if they do manage to get across, they'll be blown away asap. So unless those things suddenly sprout wings, or a rocket from their ass, there's nothing to worry about on the homefront...”

| Amaranth glanced over to Avery who was still watching the monitors; she figured Avery was taking all of this pretty hard since she really cared about Alec, but it was better for her to be here so that Artemis had at least one parent around until this trouble passed. She then turned her attention back to the monitors, taking notice of what her Uncle Junior was showing her. It did indeed look like a lab; as high tech and advanced as her own if not more so.
This caused Amaranth to get a thoughtful look on her face as she listened to her uncle explain about what he had seen the woman with the sword say. Finally, Amaranth nodded. "It's possible of course, mom was trying it with her own zombie - though, that was more like teaching a young child then starting out that way. Heck, her own zombie even knows how to obey commands now."
She nodded her head in the direction of the screens. "If this woman is infected it's likely that the hordes won't bother her. Zombies operate normally under smell and sound - if you smell like them they'll leave you alone. I hate to say it but grandad and Vigilante's best chance at being able to get around would likely be to go talk to that chick. I mean, if she tries attacking them or something the two of them should be more than capable of killing her, and if not she might be able to provide them with some useful information. Who better to ask about zombies than a zombie? Besides... if she's infected then she's been there for a while, like you said probably an experiment, so I think it'd be safe to guess that she would know where the most supplies are..." She knew there was a risk in trying to befriend someone infected, but there also was a risk of not doing it - this woman, whoever she was, might honestly just want to help them out. Couldn't always judge a book by its cover.
"I know it's risky, I really do... but judging a book by its cover isn't safe. Heck, ya'll have Cala around and she's not only a vampire but incurably insane. But, she's helpful, and friendly." She turned her gaze from the monitors to her Uncle Junior. "Do you have a way of getting in contact with grandad or V?"

| Jr thought about what his niece was telling him; suggesting to him. Trust some experimental smart zombie... Jr himself didn't even know about that, were he to be the one over there. ”...Sounds like a bad idea to me, niece...” he said. ”You gotta understand how jealous those scientists were of dad and grand dad. This chick could be a special creation just to take dad out. She could just be waiting for an opportunity to catch them with their guard down, then BAM. Chow time.”
Jr opened a drawer and pulled out the opposite headset to the one he sent along with the dufflebag. ”Besides. With how many times dad got betrayed and double crossed back in the sith wars, it's hard for him to trust anyone. In a situation like that? Where mostly everyone wants to eat you?... I'm sure dad's thinking the only person that truly has his back is Vigilante... but i'll make the suggestion to him anyways. Don't get your hopes up too high though...”
Jr put the headset on and clicked a switch on the side. ”Dad... can you hear me? It's Junior...”

| Devon had two projects she had never had the will to finish; but upon seeing her sister again which perked her up drastically she had finished with the final touches on both the Infrared Sunglasses she had been wearing as well as the Anti-Gravity Boots. Given the situation going on she felt that they could likely come in handy - especially if someone else had wanted to head over to Pacific City. She might not have been an official member of the Company, but that didn't mean she wasn't willing to be helpful. With Cala passed out, Devon headed out of the suite with both the boots and sunglasses in her hands and headed down the hallway to the elevator. Once in the elevator she pressed the appropriate button and headed up. When the doors opened she stepped off and started down what was becoming a rather familiar hallway. She paused outside of the office doors, knocked, and then opened them. She glanced about for a moment, taking note of who all was in the room - Junior, Amaranth, and a woman she didn't know. She then walked over to Junior's desk and placed the boots and sunglasses on it. "I figured sooner or later someone's going to want to go over there to Pacific... I was working on these and forgot about them... but, seeing Cala back and free from that crap, I finished them up. Anti-Gravity boots and Infrared Sunglasses. I think they'd be more use to someone here right now than to me." - Anti Gravity Boots and Infrared Sunglasses:
Name: Anti-Gravity Boots Type: Armor, Supplementary Item Rank: RM (Technology) Description: A black pair of ordinary looking, flat bottomed, polished, steel toed, combat boots that lace up the front with straps that cover the laces. The boots are a small size, fitting for a young woman's size feet. Woven into these boots however, at the very center of all of the fabric, is the technology and information that make these boots "anti-gravity". The boots are made out of a 'smart' material that is capable of repairing itself. The creator of these boots, Devon, is capable of upgrading them even without the boots in her possession through multiple chips located within the boots that contain all of the information. Abilities: The boots work by syncing with the wearers nervous system; thus reading the users movements as they're passed from the brain and to the appropriate muscles: in this case the feet and legs. The boots help enhance the user in several ways: - Enhanced Jump: The user can jump extremely high, able to go from the ground to roughly fifty stories into the air via repulsion from the ground itself - useful for when making an escape or needing to get out of the way. For those with a version of enhanced conditioning this jump height is nearly doubled. When matched with something like a cape or glider it's an effective means to get long distances without having to touch the ground via gliding. - Enhanced Stomp: Using a reverse system this increases the 'heaviness' of the boot, causing more damage (talking skull crushing, skull shattering) damage to anyone who happens to be underfoot. - Knock-Back Kick: Using must less repulsion than Enhanced Jump this allows the user when they kick someone to knock them back up to fifteen feet with a normal strengthed kick - for those with a form of enhanced conditioning this is increased to thirty feet. History: Started by Devon before the zombie outbreak, these boots were quickly finished to help out whoever might have to head into Pacific City.
Name: Infrared Sunglasses Type: Armor, Supplementary Item Rank: RM (Technology) Description: These sunglasses look like an ordinary pair of wrap around stylish sunglasses. Woven into the frames and lenses themselves is advanced technology and upgradeable chips which can be upgraded by the creator to increase the technology of the sunglasses and advance them when needed even if the wearer is thousands of miles away. Abilities: Infrared technology allows these sunglasses to distinguish between temperatures, even when blocked or hidden by buildings or other obstacles. The more red the target the hotter their body temperature, while more blue the target the more cooler their body temperature; with white being freezing cold and black being too hot to touch. History: Created by Devon as a means for detecting targets even when hidden through advanced infrared technology.

| Amaranth knew her Uncle Junior to be right; trusting someone like that could prove to be incredibly dangerous, but at least in Amaranth's opinion it was worth taking that sort of risk if valuable information could be gained out of it. She simply nodded, knowing that she would have to wait and see exactly what her grandad said about her suggestion when Junior told him.
For now she turned her focus back onto the monitors feeling a familiar itch to go help do something about the situation. It was the sort of itch she had had since the very first time Mitsukai and her had become one - anytime something was going on, or about to happen, she felt the need to be on the front lines and helping. It wasn't like she would get in the way after all, even without all of her special abilities and incredibly powers, she was still very lethal: she had just spent the past five years in another dimension using nothing but a modified version of her gunscythe to carve bad guys into turkey dinners after all.
However, before she could open her mouth there was a knock on the door and in walked Devon with a shiny looking pair of boots and a stylish pair of sunglasses. An eyebrow rose in curiousity as she watched the girl place both items on the desk and go on to explain about how they were both something she had been working on but hadn't bothered finishing with until Cala had returned home: infrared sunglasses and anti-gravity boots. The boots looked like they would fit Amaranth just perfectly, and the sunglasses would mean that even if she wanted to head over to Pacific City right now she could without risk of being snuck up on.
"I want to go over to Pacific City... I don't need powers to be lethal, and I have more than five years personal experience with my gunscythe, plus what I gained from when Mitsukai merged with me. With those items Devon's offering up, plus my cape, I'd be able to practically fly in there without having to land, and the sunglasses would mean I could find grandad and Vigilante without being snuck up on. I could bring them the cure and some supplies tonight..."

| Devon came in with some boots and sunglasses. She said they were supplies for someone who wanted to go to PC, which Amaranth volunteered for next. Jr was about to tell his niece hell no, but then his father answered his comm call. The Holo-screen appeared and showed the inside of the lobby, Vigilante with no suit on, and his father. ”Now before you start bitching, I know what i'm doing.””What are you thinking!? Did you really think I wanted the first job as Boss of this city to be to sit here and watch you get eaten alive??””Eeeeehh. I'd have thought you'd have gotten over that whining shit by now. Again son, I know what i'm doing.””Have you even considered your family? Avery? Your 2 year old daughter that barely even knows you? Me? Dez? Amaranth? Aella is here too if you didn't know, I had to go grab her before she got ran over by a truck!””Aella, huh? Good... look after her.””Yeah... but, Dad--””Look son. I've been around a really long time. If I buy it, I want it to be over something good. I don't exactly know how I ended up over here, but I think it was for a reason, to do something. These moron scientists didn't listen to me or your grandfather, and they got millions of people turned into monsters and killed. I'm here, so I feel like I have to do something. Get some answers. Save the survivors... You all will be fine without me. Look how far you've come. Kage of Makkura, now Boss of Edge City. Your sister and niece are genius scientists, and I have grand kids and great grandkids who can kick my ass a thousand times if they wanted. Just imagine the things your little sister is gonna be able to do... Take that diaper off and quit being a baby, a whole city and everyone – your little sister especially - is looking up to you now.”Hi No Seishin's aura appeared around Jr in his rage. ”I never asked for any of this, Dad! It's just like it was in Makkura, everybody knows YOU are the real Boss! I'm just a puppet! I didn't wanna be here, I just wanted to go back to longing on beaches and eating chips! Staring at girls! I'm not cut out for this leader shit!””Maybe that was the case in Makkura, but not in Edge. YOU'RE the Boss now. You call the shots. You can't be this lazy kid laying around enjoying the good life anymore, it's time to man up and take responsibility... Anyways, why are you talking like you're never gonna see me again? Don't you have any faith left in your old man, especially after fighting The Kingdom for over 10 years? This over here, it's a walk in the park, even without my Angelic powers... I know this shit over here is none of my business. But i'm here, knee deep in the shit. What would I look like bailing out now?... I won't be able to do this correctly if I know all of you are over there worried about me. You're gonna throw me off; i'll make a mistake. Relax, i'll be fine. You sent my guns – thank you for that by the way – and Big V is with me, he's my side-kick. We're gonna find any survivors and head to the Bridge. It might take a few days, but after that we'll be back home, alright?'Jr grumbled before taking a deep breath and sighing. ”...Fine. But i'm gonna be watching you through the satellites and the surveillance cameras every step of the way. Dez made a cure to that virus, and i'll be sending it to you asap. Do what you have to do in that stupid city with those stupid scientists and get back here, alright? I don't wanna have to raise my baby sister in your place.””Shaddap with the mellow dramatic stuffs and quit worrying. Smoke some of that weed in the desk and calm down. Give Avery and Art my love and tell them i'll be fine. Dad out...”He vanished after that, and Jr grumbled again. He looked at Devon. ”...That's really thoughtful of you Devon. Me and you need to talk about a job here in The Company as the head of the new R&D department. Let me finish this bit of business here first...” Next, he stared at his niece for a long time. He really didn't want her going over there, but it would be better than sending the cure in another rocket. The thing could always fly off course, and the cure could always end up in the wrong hands. Jr rubbed a hand through the mop of white hair atop his head. ”Your mom is gonna kill me if something happens to you over there. I don't know if this is really gonna work in their copy cat Dead Zone, but i'm not sending you over there without an insurance policy.” Jr reached behind him and pulled one of his feathers from his wings. He touched the feather onto the middle of her chest, and pushed it through her clothes and skin. The process would be totally painless. Seeing as she would no longer be a ghost like her father in PC, with that feather in her, were she to die, she would resurrect as a baby, and eventually grow back into her old self. - Phoenix Feathers:
Name: Phoenix Feathers Power Rank: PC Description: An ability passed down to him from his mother, Jr has the ability to take any of his feathers and infuse it with many forms of energies and powers. Jr can make this process temporary or permanent. He can give these feathers to others so that they may use these powers, being able to even cause the feather to be absorbed by others. Many powers that give others superhuman or supernatural abilities can be put upon these feathers, but the most beneficial of these would be the phoenix power to resurrect. Should another person or being die prematurely, those with this feather will be reborn as a baby that will grow to the previous size they were when they died, in the time span of 3 hours. The resurrection feather can only be used once per person. Jr, being part Phoenix, cannot use this ability on himself. ”...At the first sign of trouble. As SOON as things start looking too hectic for you? I want you to bail out of there. No if's, and's or butts, and no excuses. BAIL. OUT. Do you understand me, Amaranth?”

| Devon blinked at the conversation going on; she really couldn't blame Junior for feeling as he did. She didn't want her own sister going over there, especially after her ordeal. That was partly why she had finished the boots and glasses, in the off chance someone did have to go over there. She was glad she did too, seeing as Amaranth wanted to go.
Devon nodded to Junior and then turned her attention to the monitors watching for a moment; she didn't mind at all being able to help out further, especially if it meant an actual job: it would give her something to do with all of her free time and the mass inventions she had floating around her head all of the time. She remained silent as she listened to Junior speak and glanced over as he put a feather into Amaranth; something that peaked her curiosity.
When Junior finished speaking she turned to Amaranth, figuring a more detailed explanation of the equipment she was about to use was needed. "The boots work by reading your nevous system; sort of like predicting what you're going to do before the information even fully reaches your legs and feet. The boots will allow you to jump incredibly high, increase your stomping power, and even have a knockback effect on your kicks. They're pretty powerful in the own right but for someone in your condition even more so. The glasses show various temperatures and have the ability to even see through buildings and other structures. Black means something's too hot to be touched, red means it's roughly 98.6 degrees in temperature, blue is cool or room temperature like I'm assuming the zombies would be, and white is ice cold; below 32 degrees. Both items have smart technology built into them; which means that as I create upgrades for either item, even with you the whole way over in Pacific City, I can still upgrade them as if they were in my own hands. Oh, and don't worry about damaging the boots, they're made out of this smart material; it fixes itself after a short period of time."
She fell silent at that point, giving Amaranth a chance to ask any questions if she needed to: she was more than willing to go into even more detail on how the boots worked. But, she figured Amaranth could likely figure them out pretty quickly given how smart she was.

| Amaranth didn't move while her Uncle Junior and grandad talked. She didn't blame her Uncle Junior for being angry with grandad's decision to stay over there and help out, but at the same time she couldn't blame grandad for wanting to do just that. It was a complicated thing; able to see both sides of the equation while offering herself up to go over there and put herself in harms way just to help out further. Still, the more people backing each other up the more likely they would be able to keep themselves safe. An extra set of eyes never hurt.
So, as her uncle ended his conversation she stared back at him; sort of expecting to be yelled at and told something along the lines of 'hell no, absolutely not!'. She wasn't going to push her uncle's buttons and protest before he even spoke, so instead she kept herself quiet and waited. She listened as her Uncle Junior spoke of how her mother would kill him if anything happened to her, but before she could start to voice an object he went on, talking about an insurance policy and not sending her over there without one. She then watched as he pulled out a feather and placed it inside of her chest: she already guess that it would bring her back somehow if something terrible were to happen to her. At her uncle's last words she nodded, a serious look on her face: she knew this situation was dangerous, and she wasn't going to go in pretending it wasn't. "I understand. I won't play any games.. I know this is dangerous."
She then focused on Devon and memorized everything that she said about the boots; all of the different abilities that came with them, how they basically would read her movements before her brain had even finished sending the information to her feet and legs, and how they repaired themselves if they got damaged. She continued to listen as she went on and explained about the sunglasses; making a mental note to avoid anything that was moving and blue colored because that would, nine out of ten chances, be a zombie. "Alright, cool. That's easy enough."
Amaranth took the boots, sunglasses, and the bag containing the vials of the cure and syringes with a nod. "I'll make sure I get this to them, and i'll make sure I keep myself safe." She knew she was going to have to change before heading to Pacific as the outfit she had on wasn't going to be warm enough so she turned, walking out of the office to go grab the stash of clothes she always kept in Edge...

| Amaranth left out, on her way to find her grand father. He rubbed his face as she flew off, watching the little red dot disappear off into the distance. He rubbed his face as he got up, hoping that she got to him without any trouble. [color=red]”Follow me, Devon,” he said as he stepped from around the desk. He patted Avery on her shoulder as he passed her, wondering if she were still highly worried or not. There was no longer a need to be, after what he said, and with the fact that he'd have 2 people watching his back.
Jr walked out of the office and across the hall to the stairs. He went down one flight, to the 999th floor and across the hall again to a large room that looked like a workshop. There were tables with specialized machines, and computers with robotic arms attached. At about the same point as his office upstairs, there was a specialized desk with a futuristic looking recliner behind it instead of the old school leather one that was upstairs.
”This is the Research & Development area,” Jr said, turning the lights on. ”This was once my bedroom... but there was this girl I got close to once... She turned out to be a traitor, so I had to kill her in here. I knocked her out of the window... nothing was left of her when she hit the ground but a red smear... Anyways, that was a long time ago, and I had this room renovated. I was originally going to offer this position to The Vigilante, but he seems like the type that's gonna be out and about. Seems perfect for you though, seeing as you built those boots and glasses for Amaranth. So, i'm promoting you to General and putting you in charge down here.”
Jr pulled another pendant from the pocket of his windbreaker and gave it to Devon. He then patted her on the shoulder with a grin. ”Congratulations and enjoy. Any questions, i'm right upstairs.” He waved then and walked back out, heading back up to his office...

| Devon nodded and followed after Junior after a glance to Avery; she felt bad for her, for all of them, but she put if off from her mind for now. She had other things to focus on, after all. She followed Junior down to the 999th floor, and then to a room that seemed to be nearly underneath of the office she was just in. The room was filled with specialized machines, and computers with robotic arms attached. There was also a desk with an awesome, futuristic looking recliner behind it.
She listened as Junior went on to explain that what she was looking at was the Research and Development area; that it had once been his bedroom but since something bad had happened here he had had it renovated. He said he was going to originally offer the position to the Vigilante, but since he came and went a lot it would be perfect for her - which it would, she was always at the tower unless out somewhere with her sister.
A grin spread across her face as she listened to him then explain that he was promoting her to General and putting her in charge of the R&D department. She took the pendant and looked it over, a look of awe on her face. "Awesome, thanks! My sister will love to hear this!" She watched Junior then leave and turned back around; wandering her way over to her new desk and sitting down in the recliner... it sure was comfy. She slipped the necklace around her neck and leaned back, wondering what she wanted to start building and working on first.. or perhaps think up another upgrade for the boots or sunglasses...
