The Hell Is This?! [Open][NR]

Niala had pretty much been doing the job that Alec had given her; taking care of things while he was gone. So, that meant when something that could possibly threaten Edge City showed up she had to and would take care of it. Which, was exactly why she had just arrived at Makkura only minutes after seeing the village appear. Her psychic shields were up; protection despite the fact she was pretty sure this was Alec Kane's doing and not some evil genius bent on taking over Edge City, or the world.

She stopped at the edge of the village itself, wondering if anyone was going to come out and greet her, or attack her... she wasn't going to just stroll on in, not until she was sure what this was. "Oi, the hell is this?"

Arms folded across her chest while she waited for a response from someone; she really didn't care who at the moment. It wasn't like she needed her arms to fight anyway; her mind did all of the work for her the majority of the time; not that she figured it was going to come to that, especially as she caught glimpses of the people around. This definitely looked like Makkura... but she had to be sure.

Home again. Alec could immediately feel his powers returning to normal, no longer bound by the restraints of that other weak world. He didn't have to worry about a chakra drain anymore for not wearing his blindfold, but Alec didn't take it off.

As he walked out of the tower and down the main street, he could see the surprise and confusion in many villager's faces, while the familiar sarcastic grin spread across his. It sure was good to be home. Niala had appeared, possibly to find out why an entire country just suddenly appeared. She was still doing her job, and this was good. It didn't take long for him to get to where she was.

”Niala! Good to see you. Still on top of things I see... After 5 years of living around weaklings and shit talkers I decided it was time to come home. This time I didn't leave empty handed. I wasn't going to just leave the village I rebuilt and the people who trust us, so I brought them all with me, and we now have a whole new country. Makkuragakure, The Land of Shadows...”

Alec rubbed the top of Niala's head with his right hand, looking off into the distance to see his father's creation still standing: Edge City. Alec thought of possibly returning to take his place as it's Boss, but he'd grown so used to Makkura... Other plans began to formulate.

”So how's things, Niala? Crime still rampant in Edge? Any problems? Super Villains showing up trying to take over or anything?”

Niala grinned when she spotted Alec, glad that this wasn't some sort of trouble and truly was just the arrival of Makkura. "Good to see you, too." She looked at what she could see of Makkura from her vantage point; the place had grown from what she could see both in population and the number of buildings - likely to make up for the growing population. "This place grew since the last time I saw it."

She then focused her attention back to Alec and shrugged lightly after he rubbed her head. "There's been no problems, everything has been quiet really. There's still some crime floating around, but it's died down a bit, I suppose because people are worried about some crime fighter showing up and whooping their asses severely. Zero Sum is doing well: Demi had me take over the place since... well, a little kid cannot exactly run a club without questions being raised. Demi's grown some; she went through a growth spurt a few days ago so she looks about ten or eleven years old now instead of six. She's in the tower passed out, but I've been checking on her and she's doing alright." She looked back over towards Edge. "No super villains have shown up; which is why when you showed up so suddenly I thought something was up."

She then focused her attention back to Alec. "So, what's been going on the past few years? Are you planning on returning to Edge or staying here in Makkura?"

Things in Edge had been fine. There would always be crime, he knew that, but it hadn't spiraled out of control. Vigilante was still around, so maybe that had a lot to do with it. Demi's club still existed, but she was still in child mode, so of course that meant she wouldn't be able to run it. There was no telling where his father Darkman was; possibly still wandering around getting drunk, or trying to anyway.

”...That last 5 years?... Pretty disappointing. Some guy named Saito showed up and tried taking over my village. I cut off his head... Niwa held a summit of Kage, and I sent Jr because I knew there'd be trouble were I to show up. Some guy Kenta started running his mouth and making threats, so after me and Jr blew a village off the map he ran and hid like a bitch... Not much happened after that, besides some prodigy kids who were being ignored by the bosses of their villages coming to stay with us, the so-called “villains” of that world. Some of them came here with us. It got boring and sickening how many cowards there were there, who just let me kidnap their family members and did nothing to try and stop me, or to get them back, so, here we are.”

Alec removed his blindfold. Blinking crimson red eyes and looking around with real eyes for the first time in a long time, he didn't feel the slight drain he had grown used to feeling.

”As far as leadership goes... Makkura and the shadows have grown on me. I'll have Jr come back to Edge and take the lead in my place. If he doesn't want to, we'll figure something out...”

Niala listened carefully as Alec explained that the past five years in the other dimension had been pretty disappointing. She listened as he explained how he had removed some dude named Saito's head, put Junior in charge and had sent him to the Kage summit instead of Alec going himself since he figured that it would only cause problems. She listened as he explained that some guy named Kenta started problems in which the retaliation was to destroy another village. So, basically business as usual in a way.

Niala grinned slightly. "Sounds like an interesting time; at least some of it. Too bad no one was willing to step up with all of the kidnapping and stuff going on."

She then listened as Alec went on to explain how Makkura had grown on him, and how he would likely stay there and allow Junior to control Edge; Niala nodded in response. "Well, where ever you want me I'll go." She was willing to help where ever he needed her to go; just like she had stuck around to help out while everyone else was gone - she was loyal to Alec to the end, simple as that.
