In a new world [Open][NR]

For a while it felt like he was flying, or lying on top of a blanket made of air. It was a relaxing feeling and had he not glanced around to take note of his surroundings, maybe he would have continued just lying there. As far as his chakra eyes could see, there was nothing but blue sky and clouds.

Below him was a mass of water, rushing up to him quickly. Holeman splashed into the water and expected to instantly be cold, but this water was warm, and clear. He surfaced and lie there for a moment, lying on his back. Reaching up to make adjustments to his du-rag, he remembered for a long time how his eyes burned in his sleep, similar to when he finally confronted Luca, the Kage of his old village. Except this time it was both eyes. When he moved the Du-rag, the child saw that he could visually see with both of his eyes instead of just the right, which he found in a secret compound and had Master Aisling surgically transplant into his eye socket. How could he now see through both eyes?

A voice came from the necklace now around his neck. Boy, said Granny. When you wake up you'll be in a new world. The old one is no more. We all exist only in your memories and within this necklace now. The Gods had plans for our world but i'll be damned if I let us become a part of them. The world you belong to now is one parallel to ours. Far more advanced than ours, it is ruled by science and technology. Since you did not originate in that world, you may encounter other versions of your friends, other versions of us, and even another version of yourself. In traveling to this world you have began what's called an "Echo." At random moments in time the other versions of family, friends and you will begin to experience memories. Some may reject what they see. Some will embrace it. Some will even choose to fuse with the spirit of their other self, essentially becoming them. I can't make you any promises of what may happen, but your whole life is ahead of you in a new place. Things aren't the same anymore and never will be again, and you will even find that traveling between worlds has gifted you with a whole range of new abilities. But know that your family will always be with you as long as you possess this necklace, keep it close to you at all times. Know the difference between right and wrong, and don't abuse the incredible powers now at your fingertips...

He remembered now...The Gods decided to re-write time and reality. He head this after Granny put that funky jutsu on him. She and the other Old Holes were doing something to the necklace around his neck; it looked like it was absorbing something from them, something purple. She did the same thing with everybody else, mom, dad, Bart, Nona, The Old Holes and all of the rest of the clan that didn't go back to Yokuchi, and they all went to sleep afterwards. Then Granny ran off with him, and the next thing he knew he was sliding into something, falling... then splash. But Mitsukai, what happened to her? The thought of her dying or being "start over" was what made his eyes burn for what seemed like years...

The process of traveling between dimensions is probably what caused his other eye to begin functioning. Both of them were Sharingan with all 3 Tomoe, and having his du-rag off wasn't draining him like they used to for some reason. Channeling his Chakra, or Chi as it was called here, wasn't as taxing as it was back in his own world either. While lying there in this warm water staring up at the clouds above, feeling that he could take his eyes a step further now, (At the loss of Mitsukai) fully aware of the ocular powers of the Uchiha, he began to realize many other abilities now at his disposal, such as Telepathy. He could read minds... look into other people's heads at their memories, their dirtiest secrets. If he wanted, he could even mess with those memories. Holeman absorbed the thoughts of those around him for miles, and studied the world he now lived in. He could move things with his mind, and create defenses...

These abilities were incredible, and he would only used them when necessary. He must have lie there drifting around in this warm water, realizing everything that was available to him now when he came upon an island, Sunset Island, it was called. It was near a place with huge buildings that went up into the clouds. It was called Edge City. Holeman created a large purple cloud underneath himself and lifted out of the water into the air. The cloud was created of lightning and water energy, with visible strands of lightning traveling around it every so often. As it moved, it left behind a purple vapor trail. Holeman stared fascinated at the island and at the large city, having never seen anything like this not even in his wildest dreams.

Holeman, now attuned with everything he could do, could feel his family within the necklace. What Granny absorbed from all of the clan, family and herself before throwing Holeman into the dimensional door had to be their souls. Holeman liked to think that all of his people were safe and sound inside of the necklace, tucked into their own happy little place, and if that there were another version of Mitsukai here somewhere, that maybe there was a chance to find her.

Amaranth had been asleep in her lab, sprawled over one of many desks with a whole bunch of blueprints in front of herself for her island and Edge city, and the ocean between it. She had been looking for the deepest areas or any areas that could be used as a cave for that giant serpent and had fallen asleep.

Her dreams were vivid, too realistic to be just dreams; something she was well aware of even though she was asleep. She was watching herself, but from a different time, and far weaker than she really was. She was cutting someone up with her scythe like bologna only she wasn't alone; a blind boy was with her - one who she knew to be named Holeman. In her dream he was her best friend, so much so that she had left her brother and her original home to go stay with him in another village that was surrounded by forests; trees as far as the eye could see.

This wasn't the first time she had had the dream; each and every time the bad guy changed, at first it was someone who looked to be out of a movie, then it was a group of thugs bent on trying to cause trouble, then another serial killer, even some pirates... the dream always changed, but the one thing that remained the same was that Holeman was her best friend, her 'partner in crime' so to speak, and they always whooped ass together.

However, an alarm had started to go off and she jumped a mile - startled right out of her dream, turning her attention to the cameras that instantly flickered on; one of many blueprints stuck to the side of her face. She stared for a moment, mouth opened slightly, as she watched what looked to be a kid about her age falling out of the sky to go splashing into the water. She stared for a moment, calculating mentally exactly where he had landed, before she shoved the blueprint off of her face where it fell to the floor at her feet. She jumped up and out of her chair with so much force that the chair was left spinning behind her as she bolted out of her lab through the one and only tunnel entrance.

She shot across the beach like a bullet fired from a gun, just in time to see the kid riding... a cloud? Odd, but not the strangest thing she had seen... and, something she had seen before in her dreams. She stopped on the beach, watching, staring. Her red cape blew around her, and several strands of her black hair flew in her face and she raised her hand, pushing it out of her silver colored eyes.

She got herself a closer look the closer the kid got and found herself staring at what could only be described as the kid, Holeman, from her dreams. Was this some sort of trick? Had she accidentally caused him to cross from the dream world into reality? Or was something else going on? She supposed she would find her answers out soon enough.

He rested on the back of his hands while sitting on his cloud creation, staring at the city over there. Edge City, huh? Alot of people lived there, far more than could fit in Konoha. Would be fun to go exploring it. There was this island too, beautiful and green, surrounded by so much water, far more than he'd ever seen.

Then he thought he was hallucinating when through his radar he saw her standing on the beach. He thought this was a dream, and that he was going to wake up and everything would be back to normal. But he wasn't... Was she real? Was she really standing there on the beach? Zooming in with his radar, she looked just like Mitsukai... Granny must have dropped him right here on purpose for him to have found this world's version of her so fast.

Holeman steered his cloud over by the beach area and jumped off, landing nearby Amaranth. He was still dressed in his dark blue short sleeved Uchiha Clan shirt, the large fan symbol on the back, his ankle length red pants, and his red sandals. Red fingerless gloves were upon either hand, and a wristband for his senbon needles was on his left wrist. Holeman was able to see out of both eyes now with no problems, but still chose to wear his red Du-rag over his eyes, and to use the Holeman chakra radar as a means of getting around. He was also wearing a special pair of red headphones. With his Du-rag tails blowing in the wind the same direction as Amaranth's cape, he wondered if this girl had experienced the "Echo" that Granny mentioned yet. Did she know who he was? Did she know who Mitsukai was? Or, also like Granny mentioned, had she rejected the "Echo" altogether?

She was so pretty that he pulled up his Du-rag for an actual look at her with his real red Sharingan eyes, hoping she wouldn't be freaked out. She looked so much like her, except for that outfit with the bandages that she used to wear. Did she live here on this island? He stared at her as if hypnotized.

He was staring at her, and her at him. They weren't going to get anywhere if that was all they kept doing. This couldn't be a dream, and this couldn't be some over-powered magic of hers; some way of her dreamworld entering into the real one. It just couldn't be. No, this had to be something else. She didn't know what it was, but she wasn't going to keep second guessing herself and staring at--- well, her friend?

"Holeman?"

It was worth a shot using the name she knew him by in her dream. As she spoke his name she moved closer, slowly. She didn't want to spook him, or cause him to run off. But, something within her brain told her it was safe enough to move closer, and she was going on gut instinct with this since she had nothing else to go on. She closed the distance between the two, stopping several feet away.

She reached her hand out to him, wanting to see if he was as real to the touch as he was to her eyesight. As she reached out memories flooded into her brain, more than the dream had even given her; who she was in the dream, how she had risked a lot by helping him 'escape' the village her brother had ruled, among many other things. "Are you really here?", she said after a moment, voice soft as a whisper.

She had silver colored eyes here. Seeing her looking the way she did, here, in this paradise, made him think that he was really dreaming, or dead. It wouldn't really matter if he looked at her using his actual eyes or his real ones, so he put his Du-rag down again with a grin when he heard her call him by name. He stayed where he was when she got closer.

"Yeah. You know who I am?" he asked, letting her touch him. The "Echo" Granny mentioned must have worked, and it didn't seem like she was rejecting. "My Granny told me that I might run into another version of my friend Mitsukai here. What's your name?"

He continued to look around everywhere with his radar. The resorts, the hotels, the beaches, the complex in a bubble of glass underwater. The winds blowing caused his clothes to quickly dry up.

Her fingertips brushed along his arm, the feeling of skin against skin indicating that he was indeed here and not a figment of her imagination. She dropped her hand after a moment, folding her hands in front of her as her red cape continued to blow around in the wind; every so often revealing her folded up gunscythe that hung from her hip - one of the many things that was the same between the her that was here and the her that was in her dream.

"Yeah, I don't know how I know it's you.. I mean, this might sound funny or something, but I dreamed of you. Have been for the past week or so. Then all this random information started popping into my head." She shook her head, still feeling confused, but things were beginning to slowly slip into place more and more. "My name's Amaranth." Wondering if he knew where he even was, having seen him fall out of the sky, she added, "This is my island, Sunset Island, and that," she said as she pointed towards the city across the water "is Edge City, my grandad owns it."

She looked him over, figuring he looked exactly as he had in her dream; including his eyes being covered - because he was blind, a bit of information that popped into her head at random. "So.. where did you come from? I mean, in my dream we were in this desert place at first... then I helped you go to this village surrounded by a whole bunch of forest...  But, now... now, I saw you falling out of the sky from my lab.", she said, pointing towards the bubble beneath the surface of the water. "Kinda... confused, really."

Amaranth. It was an unusual name, but that didn't mean it sounded bad. She owned this whole island, and her grandfather was the Kage of that huge city. Except here the term for Kage was "Boss."

"Well, my world got re-written by Gods. My Granny found out before it happened, so she put my whole clan's souls into this necklace," he said, showing her the Holeman Clan symbol on the necklace that was made of solid gold. People who could feel magic or powers would realize that the object around his neck contained immense levels of power. "She put some sort of crazy jutsu on me when I was sleep. I guess jutsu here would mean magic spell? The next thing I know i'm in this tunnel, then I guess I was falling through the sky for a while, and then I was here..."

Holeman thought of Yokuchikagure, back to the day when Mitsukai first came back from training with Spook in Konohagakure. It made him grin, but someone depressed on the inside as well to know that it wasn't the same anymore, and never would be again, even if somehow he were to go find some sort of way back. "My Granny said there's other versions of my friends here in this world, and since i'm here now there'd be and 'Echo,' and this world's versions of my friends would start seeing my world's version's memories. Me and Mitsukai used to live in a village in the desert... I didn't like her brother, and he was the Kage, so me and my clan moved out and went to Konoha. That's the village in all of the trees..."

Given that Amaranth was not only part Angel but part Spirit it was easy for her to feel the magic coming from the necklace, and she made a mental note to - at least until she knew it was safe - to keep a safe distance from it. She listened carefully to all that Holeman had to say: how his world was rewritten, his Granny had found out before hand, and then him falling asleep.

She also listened as he explain why all of these random dreams and thoughts were coming into her head, why she felt like she was two people in one; separate and together all at the same time - though in fewer words. She was 'this worlds' version of his friend Mitsukai, and from what she had seen she was damn near a perfect match; including the weapon she used in her dream being the same she used for real - although slightly different, and hers was more powerful outside of her dream.

"You know... this really does all make sense. I mean..I even have this..." She moved her red cape out of the way and unhooked her gunscythe from its clip. A button was pushed and it instantly extended, though she was careful as it did so not to hit Holeman with it. "I dreamed about it one night, and then started working on it the next day... it's different slightly than what I had in my dream, but the same idea."

She thought about the rest that he had said and tilted her head. "Hm... well, you don't have to worry about not liking my brother here - I don't have one. Closest I have to a brother is Nova, he's my cousin. I don't think he'd give you a reason to hate him, honestly... " She scratched her head, her mind coughing up the reason he had given her in the other world in his backyard as to the why of them leaving the village.

"Do you have a place to stay already? If not you're welcome to stay with me in my lab." She pointed towards the bubble under the water again. "There's plenty of room... and my kitchen is any chefs dream." She grinned. "Do you still like to cook?"

So it really was her... She even had "that big knife with the cannon thing on it" as he used to tell Bart and Nona. He could feel them in the necklace as he thought about them. The best part had to be the no creepy villain from an old horror movie looking big brother. If he could stay here and be close to her, then he didn't mind staying here. That he didn't mind at all. He wondered if Amaranth was even ticklish in the same way Mitsukai was.

"I was kinda wondering about somewhere to live too," he said, looking around. "If you hadn't offered i'd probably have to sleep outside or something..." He was still memorizing the whole place as he looked everywhere with his radar. Amaranth grinned the same way Mitsukai used to. Holeman wanted to hug and kiss her, and tell he loved her. He regretted never getting the chance before his world was redone.

"Sure. This world has to have some incredible food," he said in response to cooking. "I mean, something happened with my coming over here, so like, I don't feel hungry, even though I should. But i'll still cook anyway though." He tied on his Du-Rag tighter and brushed off his Uchiha shirt. Living on a tropical island didn't seem like a bad idea at all...

Amaranth's eyebrows went up. "You don't feel hungry at all? Wow..." She couldn't imagine what that would be like, she liked food far too much to give up on it even if she could just live off of absorbing energy, or some other way. She would still eat, regardless.

"Well, let me show you the lab and get it set up so that you can open the doors and stuff. They're touch based, so as soon as your hand prints recognized everything will be open to you.", she said after a moment, hoping the explanation was simple enough. She didn't know how much about all of the technology he knew, especially because of how little her dreams ever showed; no cars, no computers, nothing of the sort. She didn't to confuse him anymore than she might already be doing.

"How much do you know about all of this worlds technology and stuff?", she asked as she walked towards the hidden entrance to the lab, figuring that he'd follow her as she lead the way. "Because, I'm a telepath.. and if you are too, you could just see it all in my head." Her defenses were down, meaning if he wished to see exactly what she had meant by needing his hand prints for the door scanners to get in and out, among everything in the lab and how it worked: she remembered he used medical stuff - so it would only make sense if he wanted to explore her lab and all of her machines and equipment in it. Plus, whatever else he wanted to know: who her parents were, what everyone looked like, she felt no reason to hide the information; especially as she took note of more of the merging happening between herself and Mitsukai.

"Well, I still get hungry yeah, but I won't starve to death. Would suck to go without a bite to eat every once in a while, even if you don't need food anymore," Holeman said, following along with Amaranth as she started walking. He'd done quite a bit of research on this world while out there lying in the water. He was able to see people inside of things. Cars. Helicopters. Airplanes. Holeman educated himself to know that man here relied on science, technology, computers and guns. There weren't half as many powerful people here like back home.

Holeman found out he had the ability to read minds and go inside of other people's head, but after a while, it began to feel wrong to intrude upon people's heads and memories. He decided not to use Telepathy if he didn't have to, and didn't look into Amaranth's head. "This place is nothing like mine. I can see that most of this island is controlled by a computer?...I've kinda been studying up on this place since I got here. Most of it is hard to understand but it's getting easier. When I put what my hand looks like into your computer, that will let me open the important doors that not everyone can go through."

To be offering up this kind of trust this early on must mean that some of Mitsukai must really be there. If she let him stay here he would probably never leave, and this would be his new home. Holeman would be loyal to Amaranth until he died, or it killed him.

Amaranth nodded several times over again. "Yup, that's right. Only someone with your exact hand print can get into the lab afterwards; or someone else who has had their hand scanned and allowed access as well." She reached the hidden door, ivy parting from in front of it automatically, as if pulled aside by something unseen; something which was nothing more than mild magic. She then placed her hand on the door, the area beneath it lighting up blue; the light moved from her fingertips to the base of her palm and then back up again.

After a second or two of a pause the door then opened and she dropped her hand back to her side. She then led the way down the underground tunnel; past where it was only dirt and into the area where you could see water outside of the tunnel. A few more feet and there was another door. She put her hand up on it as she had done the first, the process repeating itself again before the door opened.

She walked into the newly opened room, a living room of sorts, high tech and large, with many couches, bean bag chairs, recliners, and other comfortable looking chairs. Game systems were connected to many different TV's, and there were racks of games, books, and magazines that lined the otherwise see-through walls; walls to where tropical fish could be seen swimming outside of; as it was for all of the lab. "The glass walls of the lab are enhanced to be unbreakable through magic when my mom made it, so an explosion could go off in here or out there and no one would be any the wiser."

She led the way through the living room, towards a hallway of sorts that would lead to the bedrooms of the lab. She found herself wondering why she trusted him so much - normally she didn't let people come into her lab, even if she had known them for a good while; but, maybe that was because her merging with Mitsukai was almost complete; they were almost one in the same; and since Mitsukai trusted him she trusted him. She waved towards the doors, "Six through ten are unclaimed, all you need to do is put your hand on the one you choose and it'll memorize your hand print. The only other people who will be able to get into your room would be myself, or someone else higher up who helps me run my island - like my father or my uncle; but no one will go in there without very good reason. My room is number one, encase you ever need anything while I'm in there."

She continued with the tour as she went. She pointed to one room, "The kitchen is in there, next to it is the dining room, the two rooms are not only connected through the hallway but through the kitchen as well." She then pointed out another living room, and her own little private office; whose door was currently closed. Finally, she led her way into her lab. "Annd this.. is my lab. I do experiments, stuff with DNA, genes, that sort of stuff.. Surgery and stuff as well when needed."

"You're more than welcome to any room in the whole place, and any of the equipment or anything else you might need." She walked over to one of many tables; this one holding a computer with a square device big enough to easily fit a full grown mans hand. "All I need you to do is put your hand on that square, one at a time, and I'll do the rest on the computer."

He followed her to the door and watched the process she went through to open it. Holeman went underground after Amaranth, looking at everything and using his radar to explore places even before setting foot in them. It was amazing: a house right in the water. He never had to worry about the glass breaking since it was all protected by magic.

Next she took him to where he could sleep. Holeman chose number 10 to be his room, so he did as she instructed and put his hand on the palm reader next to the door. It remembered his hand and the door opened. Before moving on with her, he looked inside, nodding his head. It was perfect. Not as big as his room back home in Konoha, but the whole place was underwater.

Moving along, she took him to places already explored with his radar, but it didn't matter, he'd follow her anywhere. The kitchen, the dining room, other rooms. Finally the lab, where she did experiments and such. It reminded him of his own lab set up, but nothing like this. As she instructed, he put his hands on the palm reader one at a time and let them read what they looked like.

"So how much of Mitsukai is in you? I mean... can you see some of the stuff she did?" He asked. "This other world stuff is kinda confusing. Are you like her at all? You look just like she did, except she had really pale skin and red eyes..."

After he put his hands on the reader she sat in the chair at the desk and got to typing, putting in basic information that would identify the hands to Holeman, and other information; such as height, which she guessed about, and weight, which she also guessed about. Along with some more basic information for a description - things that would help the lab identify him if the scans were to ever, for whatever reason, falter and fail.

"Um, well..." She thought about his question as she continued to type. "Each and every second more information comes into my head, like her and I are becoming one person in my brain, her likes and dislikes are becoming my likes and dislikes - as weird as that might sound. My dreams gave me a lot of information; things we did, missions and stuff we went on.. " She pressed a few buttons on the keyboard, finishing the uploading of the information.

"Even the way she feels about you, which is becoming the way I feel." She scratched her head for a moment, thinking about anything else she might've been missing. This was all still strange to her, but she was beginning to accept it more and more; obvious in the way she had instantly trusted him. "Maybe that's why I let you in my lab so quickly. Most people don't get to come in here - but something in me tells me I can trust you, that you wouldn't do anything to hurt me." She shrugged. "Maybe that's why I'm going with my gut on this."

Mitsukai was merging with her. At least she was accepting of it instead of rejecting it like Granny mentioned. Before things went all wrong back in his world, he had just mustered up the courage to ask Mitsukai to be his girlfriend. Would it be the same thing here? Would that part get left out? He didn't have the courage to ask her yet. She did say that she had the same trust in him that Mitsukai did, so that was a start. She also said that ordinary people didn't get to enter her lab right away, that had to be a plus too.

"Well yeah, I mean, why would I do anything to you? Me and Mits were friends for...as long as I can remember, really," he said. "Besides, I don't think I could hurt you even if I tried..." He listened to the other things she said. Seeing someone else's life in dreams, having someone else memories in your head from another life...it all had to be weird. Having always been a brain, he looked around, seeing that Amaranth was a scientist herself, and wondered what kind of experiments she did here.

He also found himself thinking about how long it would be before he was chilling on one of those beaches out there, soaking up rays and staring at females with barely anything on. Amaranth seemed more reserved that Mitsukai and not as "showy" as she was, but she'd just mentioned how she was becoming more like Mits, maybe this would change. Or maybe not, either way he didn't care. She was just as pretty as she was, and the fact that he was here with her, and she was inviting him into her home, that was good enough.

She thought about everything that was still running through her mind; it was becoming harder to distinguish between what were her thoughts and what were Mitsukai's; they felt like one in the same. More things were shifting into place: personality, likes and dislikes, and how she felt about Holeman. All of it was shifting and changing; and all in just mere seconds.

She reached up again, rubbing at her head - at least everything was feeling far less confusing then it was moments ago. "Well, I can say the same to you... I'd never do something that would intentionally cause you harm either..." She could remember being friends with him for an extremely long time - could even remember her feelings developing further into love. She found herself wanting to hug him, but didn't want to freak him out so she kept her hands to herself for the moment.

"So um... this is an awkward question, but I feel I have to ask because of how I feel; do you feel the same about me that you felt about Mitsukai? 'Cause, the reason I'm asking is because I sorta feel everything she felt for you...", she spoke quickly, and was blushing by the time she was done, suddenly very interested in a dust particle that was floating around the air as she kept her gaze averted from him in her shyness.

"Well, yeah. Why not?" he said, grinning. He pulled on both of his red fingerless gloves tighter. "I mean, you're her...You're not her, but you're her... It's gotta be strange having all of these memories and feelings from somebody else coming into your head and all, and my Granny said that people can reject everything that they see too, so I wasn't really gonna ask. Cool to know you feel like Mitsukai felt!"

Everything seemed to be working out so far. He was in an entirely new world. He found the version of Mitsukai here almost instantly, she owned her own tropical island, and she was letting him stay here, and giving him access to places not everyone could go. Best of all she liked him just like Mits did, maybe even more. He was still sort of depressed over the real Mitsukai, and all of his family and clan ending up inside of a necklace, but they were always with him now. They wouldn't want him to be this way so he cheered up.

Holeman went through his satchel to find that all of his items from his world were still there. He looked around at the computers and monitors, never remembering seeing anything like this before. Holeman decided to study up on these computers and learn how to use them...

So, he felt the same about her that he did Mitsukai? Well, that made her own thoughts and feelings about him a lot easier to deal with - and made her feel far less awkward than she had moments ago. It also made her feel that if she wanted to reach out and get that hug that she could without freaking him out.

Though, one thought sort of popped into her head during all of this: how in the world was she going to explain this to her mother and father? That she was two people in one? That she felt the way she did about Holeman? ..... Wait, didn't dad's get super pissed off and threatening when it came to boyfriends? Oh boy... Well, that was going to be an interesting first meeting, that she was sure of.

She snapped out of her own thoughts for a moment and nodded. "It was strange at first, honestly. I didn't understand what was going on. But, it all sort of makes sense now, including the reason why she's all in my head... or well, we're both kind of the same person now. It explains all the dreams I've been having for the past week, too..."

She turned around in her chair, the whole swivel chair moving with her before she stood up. "Oh, I suppose I should warn you... if you see a small pink creature running... er, flying... around here somewhere? That's Mew, who won't harm you, but will likely try to either hug your face, or rob you of berries.... Or both. I get both."

"A flying pink thing... Mew... got it," he said, looking sort of confused, even with that Du-rag covering half of his face. It wasn't the weirdest thing he'd heard, and probably wouldn't be the weirdest he'd seen either. Master Aisling had those 2 giant dogs, and he could have sworn they understood what he was saying just like another person would.

She got up, and he looked at her. He still found himself wanting to hug her and kiss her and poke her for the giggles, and tell her he'd never leave her again. He started to feel kind of akward staring like he was, so he tried thinking of something to say. "So uh, do people still do missions and whatnot around here somewhere? Are there still creeps and bandits and serial killers and whatever that need beat up?"

Because no matter where you went there was always some meat head that needed a Hadoken up the butt. As stated before, he didn't feel..."chained to the floor" like he did back home. At home he would often get tired after using up too much of his power, but here, it didn't feel like he had any limit. He felt like he could fire off however many Hadokens he wanted and probably never get tired. He'd probably go outside sooner or later just to test this theory out...

"Yeah, and if you hear a little child-like voice in your head? That's Mew, the creature's really psychic, and communicates through telepathy. But, it takes a lot for Mew to get comfortable with someone enough to let them know it understands them."

She pressed several buttons on her computer, pulling up the cameras around the island. They showed anything from people walking down the streets on the monitors, to crimes even in progress that very moment. "Yup, I have all sorts of jobs around my island that need done. People being kidnapped, stuff being robbed. There's little city like areas I'm sure you've seen too floating around, banks and stuff for the tourists.. they get robbed from time to time. Stuff like that."

She then flicked to another camera angle... which showed some werewolves that had recently escaped from the 'Toy' Factory. "Eh, really don't have any serial killers or anything hanging around, not that I know of. But plenty of bad guys still, and then there's these things... they're zombie werewolves, experiments from the factory in the center of the island...they like eating the islanders."

She then flicked the camera to the ocean off the shores of Sunset Island. "Then... well, my grandad said something about a giant sea creature that might be lurking in the waters. I want to catch it and study it alive if it's really out there."

The little pink thing could talk too. He wasn't expecting the creature to start talking to him right from the jump, so he didn't much concern himself with it for the moment. Holeman looked at the screens linked to cameras all over the island. He knew what TVs and Computers were now, he was just having trouble understanding how stuff like this was available here, and not back home. The people in his world were beginning to catch on to technology, but there was nothing like this at all. He was able to see nearly all areas of the island from right here, in this glass house underwater.

There was plenty of crime to solve and creeps to beat upon. There weren't many super strong villain types around, not as many as there were at home, but Holeman had the feeling that he'd probably run into one. Crime and robbers and zombie werewolves and even a sea creature? That would be interesting to see. Yes, he would never get bored here, there was plenty to do.

"This is awesome... Yeah i'll do some jobs, I think I need to start making me some money. I don't think Ryo will work here," he said, pulling out all of his earnings from back home. The Ryo spilled onto the table in front of him, Ryo that would make a man rich where he came from, but was just worthless metal here. "I think I want to look around more before that though, settle in and all that..." Holeman rubbed his hands together. "If I don't understand anything i'll ask about it. You can ask me stuff too, anything, if you want. I know some stuff has to be confusing since you first started seeing things in dreams, and then it really starts happening..."

"Haha, go for it. Any job you want to do you can. Normally citizens can only do the easy stuff, but I know you're more than capable of handling the big jobs, so you're welcome to do any one you want." She thought about what she now knew about the ranks and the way things worked back where he was from... She would have to work something out here eventually, that was if he wanted to be something other than a citizen. "You're also welcome to a higher position than citizen if you want it, it's up to you though."

"You're welcome to the whole island, and can come and go as you please. Anything you want from any of the stands or stores will just be instantly charged to the island's personal account. People who stay in my lab get perks.", she said with a grin. She picked up a piece of the ryo, staring at it curiously. "Yeah, I'll be sure to ask if this confusion continues. Some of it's still pretty weird... like I remember everything from my life here, but also everything from there... and it's all together inside of my head, clashing..."

She turned her gaze to the water outside of the glass. "I dunno, maybe some fresh air or something would help me to clear the senses..."
