Company Matters, Part 2 [Open][NR]

Alec sat behind the desk, watching the video. The screen before the desk was large, movie-screen sized. Alec heavily puffed at one of his cigars while watching the holographic life-sized images, the office having a green fog hovering. Alec kept rewinding the video to watch the kid get behind Ryuukishi and kick him in the ass, to apparently go flying into Flynn. Breathing in too much of this smoke would cause mild intoxication and a severe case of the munchies. The mountain of weed that Alec had placed on the desk after Demi's death and resurrection was still moderately high.

So this kid managed to pull a 1-2 punch on 2 beings far superior to him, assuming that kid was human, and escape. Alec seemed agitated but he couldn't help but to grin somewhat while shaking his head and massaging his eyes. Massive damage to a landmark. He was really curious about this person with the red V. Sending people to go capture him would be too taxing to the environment. With how high he was, and with as many females that were in and out of the Tower nowadays, Alec began to consider another approach...

"So I guess that kid kicked their asses. Gonna have to ask Ghost or somebody to go over there and fix the damage... Man. This kid is something else, fearlessly charging toward beings that could under normal circumstances blink, and crush him... Gonna have to go about this another way. Might have to have some girl go around, show him a little ass or something. Might be a dirty tactic, but hey, it works..."

Destiny was where she normally was these days when not needed elsewhere: leaned up against the glass, off to the side of her father. Her lightning blue gaze was fixed on the screen as well, and a look of amusement had suddenly shown up on her otherwise emotionless face at her father's words. Yes, that was a dirty tactic... but she wouldn't put it past someone like Cala to pull off.

"You know, Cala might do it... She's crazy enough, hell, she'd probably think it was all one big game. And if the dude decides to hand her her own ass... well, she enjoys being hit. In fact, I could see her just cackling and grinning... might throw the dude off." Dez lifted a hand, scratching at the back of her head as she remembered the one and only time her and Cala had decided to play fight: Cala had told Dez she didn't hit hard enough, which had been incredibly creepy at the time, but all things considering, and what she knew about Malkavian's now compared to back then, it made a lot of sense. Cala had more screws loose then Demi, or so it seemed.

Annnd she had apparently entered into Mister Kane's office at the right time, as she heard herself being suggested for something: though she wasn't quite sure what. However, from Destiny's words she could assume it had something to do with that guy that Alec had sent Flynn and Ryuukishi after. Hadn't they handled that? Two against one and all...

"What am I being volunteered for?", she asked curiously.

She blinked, mismatched eyes moving to the screen after she had closed the office door behind herself and moved away from it - her sister for once not with her and instead downstairs sleeping. Her head tilted a bit to the right and her left eyebrow rose high up as her curiosity peeked greatly. From what she was seeing they had indeed got their asses kicked... and was that dude... was that a human? She liked humans, they were fun to play with, hell, even if he wasn't human she would probably find him fun to play with.

She straightened her head and grinned at the pair of Kane's. "Oh, oh! Do I get to go play with him now?" That usual unhinged grin popped up on Cala's face, turning her features into something far more psychotic than they had been moments ago.

Alec kept watching the images. He reached over and flicked ashes into the nearby tray. The violence before him was a reminder of older days. There was a time when he also wore a special costume and took on the guise of an anti hero. When most folks would have been pissed off and barking out orders, HUNT HIM DOWN, NOW! or something like that, Alec just grinned. He'd read the report that Flynn left behind: The kid was cocky and arrogant; that was expected. It was assumed that he thought that species that were above humans were freaks; further leading to the speculation that this kid was human, also expected.

Alec was also kicking himself in the ass for approaching this matter the way he did. What the kid did to Ryuukishi and Flynn, Alec knew that to people like them, it barely put a scratch on either of them, but the situation had to be pretty embarrassing. Foiled by something so young.

Destiny made a suggestion about Cala. As if listening to the conversation from somewhere herself she walked in next. That crazy look on her face made Alec just rub his eyes again, grumbling somewhat.

Several scenarios were already playing out in his head while steadily puffing on his "Cigar." If the kid was human, he'd probably look like a piece of Candy to Cala, and she goes off into some insane Malkavian bloodlust and devours the kid. If Cala is anything like Demi, being thrown through buildings and beaten on will just... get her off, in a manner of speaking. More money he'd have to pay getting it fixed, blocked traffic, construction workers, fussy citizens... blahh. Headache. He'd have to get one of the psychic people that worked for him to be around at all times.

He almost said never mind to the whole idea, but the main fact of the situation was Cala was young looking and hot. If that kid had the smarts to build something that advanced on his own... Alec honestly didn't see any girls in the picture. He was likely a loner, a nerd, only a handful of friends, nerds like him. Just entering the early stages of puberty; waking up every morning with serious woods. A girl in the mix would definitely shake things up.

"...If you wanna try your luck with this guy next, feel free... I'd love to see his reaction to a crazy hot girl. But try not to make a mess, like this... I'll have to ask Niala or someone to go over there to INC HQ and fix that. Xan would hate to see his creation being torn apart. Listen... This guy, he's probably a young horny little kid, and i'm sure somebody like you can use that to their advantage if you know what I mean, but if he starts fighting too hard, just let him go, alright? I understand you wanna play around with him, but if the city gets torn up and innocents get caught up in some epic comic book brawl it's gonna be on my head. Flynn said the kid is cocky and headstrong, and he thinks we're all freaks, that's according to him. You can see here how he operates... Good luck."

Destiny watched Cala enter right after she herself had suggested her. She blinked at Cala's readiness to go over there and try her luck with the dude with the V on his chest. She personally thought Cala was crazy... but well, she was, wasn't she? She kept herself silent and just listened to Cala and her father speak, she really had nothing to add for the moment.

Oh, God. Her father was going to let Cala Jo go over there and face that guy? Destiny found herself wondering if there would honestly be anything left. Cala was far more unhinged then Demi, as that grin she had on her face showed: and her and Demi had caused a lot of damage back in the day. So, she could only hope that when everything was all said and done Cala wouldn't leave behind something that resembled a crater in the ground.

She turned and looked out the window, staring at nothing and everything, at least until her pocket vibrated and she removed her cellphone once more, reading the text that had come across it. She blinked again and slipped the thing back into her pocket without responding: an update from Amaranth, saying that Flynn had made it back to the island, but she had already known that, she could sense it, after all, she had created Sugure no Shima.

"Try not to come back broken,, either, eh?", she added after a moment, though her lightning blue gaze remained glued to the outside world beyond the window instead of moving to Cala whom she had been speaking to.

Her unhinged grin grew even more as Mister Kane gave her the go-ahead to go after the kid with the V on his chest. She was practically bouncing in her excitement, though she was trying hard to hold herself back: trying to show restraint and control. "I will try my absolute hardest not to break anything!", she vowed, her voice and facial features turning serious during the time she said it. She meant it of course, she would try her hardest not to tear anything up, or break anything. Though, trying and doing were two different things, but for this Malkavian a vow was something she tried her hardest to keep and stand by.

She already had a plan forming in her mind of what she wanted to try and do to the kid to lure him back here so Mister Kane could have a chat with him, and each plan in her head came with a backup one: though she was trying to keep them from being out-right violent. Hell, one plan was pure seduction: if she could pull it off. This would definitely be interesting.

"I'll keep an eye out for the kid with the V, and if I come across him we'll see what happens.. Oh, Devon might come up here looking for me, she's downstairs asleep, and I didn't want to wake her up..."

She then turned her attention to Destiny, grinning at the sentence she knew was directed towards herself, that unhinged looking taking control of her features once more. "Don't worry, I'm too broken to break anymore.", she responded sarcastically, answering the statement in the wrong way; seeing as she assumed Destiny meant not to come back with any bones broken, or disfigured in any way - but she was a Malkavian, tricks were in her blood, as was mind games.

With that all said she turned and skipped to the office door, opened it, stepped out, and closed the thing behind her. She then headed to the elevator, taking it down to the main floor before leaving Darkman Tower... of to go hunt down the kid with the V on his chest.

Alec watched Cala leave, believing she wouldn't go too crazy and tear one of the kids arms off or something. He shook his head, not really knowing what to say about this whole thing. Ghost was back in Sugure, but he felt like Jr should be back out there too. He'd probably just lounge somewhere along the beach all day staring at girls and eating chips, but in a pinch the kid could handle himself. He pushed several buttons on his desk.

"Jr... when you get a sec, come down here, yeah? Want you to see something. Bring Haikyo with you."

It was cool to spend the last few days back home in the company of a pretty girl, but he was missing walking the beach, feeling the hot sun, the smell of the water in his nose, gobbling down potato chips while searching for somewhere to sit down. Jr was totally in the dark about whatever had been going on now. It would be easy to have poked in his nose to take a whiff, but the smell of these situations gave him a headache most of the time.

What did dad want? Jr hoped it wasn't to argue or anything, he hadn't done anything wrong. Haikyo had to have heard the message he sent, so he was sure she was right beside him as he walked into his father's office, eating a bag of sour cream and onion potato chips. He walked in to see his father, his sister Destiny, a bunch of smoke and a large screen. Some guy in a black futuristic looking armor suit with a red V on his chest was kicking the crap out of a big guy. The big guy went flying into another guy who was loading a bow, then they smash through the building and leave a big smoking crater behind like something out of Dragon Ball Z.

"That looked like it hurt," Jr said, looking boredly at the screen. "Hey... isn't that the one dude who asked you if you'd allow him to protect you that one night?" Jr asked this of Haikyo. "What is this, anyway? What's going on?"

Destiny kept her gaze out the window until she heard Jr. and Haikyo enter into the office. She blinked and turned, resting her shoulder against the window so that she could see those within the office. She turned her gaze back on to the screen, watching again as the guy with the V on his chest kicked some serious ass. She could only hope that Cala wasn't about to get her ass handed to her like that.

At Jr.'s words she glanced over to the female with him, an eyebrow raising in curiosity. The Ryuukishi dude had offered to protect her? Why? Her questions however remain unasked, she figured if the girl felt like explaining she would, if not then she wouldn't.

Her phone vibrated once again and she removed it from her pocket, typed a quick reply back with her thumbs, and then stuffed it back in again as the message sent. She refolded her arms across her chest, continuing to watch the video. She reached up, pushing her red hair back and out of her face as she waited for Haikyo to respond.

Haikyo had walked down with Junior, having also heard the summons from his father. She entered into the office after him, closing the door behind herself. She stood nearby, her fire filled gaze moving to the screen that currently showed a young looking guy with a V on his chest whooping the butts of two other people: one of which was indeed the same person who had offered her protection that one night on the beach.

At Junior's question she looked away from the screen to him and gave a nod. "Yes, that's the guy that came out of the dark offering to protect me that one night.", she responded softly, all before looking back to the screen. She could only imagine how badly that would have had to hurt: but then again, some people could take an attack more than others. She wondered exactly why he was having his ass handed to him like that: he looked like he should be able to take a good bit of punches, or worse.. and that weapon of his, surely he should have been able to fight back? She felt slightly confused over the whole thing.

Her attention then shifted for a moment to the female who was texting on her phone while leaning on the window. Haikyo slipped her own hands in her pockets, wondering exactly why Junior and herself had been called to the office: other than getting to see someone get their butt whooped of course.

The big guy offered to protect Haikyo? Hunh... New news to Alec. He was glad his son had the smarts enough to keep out of all of the madness going on. Alec didn't want to place him or the girl there in harm's way, but if anyone could clean up a shitty situation nobody could do it better than Jr.

"Yeah, lemme catch you up with what's going on... This guy here, with the V on his chest? He hacked into the INC computers and used those computers to hack me here. Beforehand he went and put scrambler chips in the Business District, the Red Light District and over in the hood. There's something about this kid; it's like when I get close to him I slam into a brick wall; it's like he has his own dead zone following him around. It took me a while to finally track him down, and I called a meeting to see if someone could go capture the guy. Flynn, an Underboss of Sugure, like you, and this other guy, Ryuukishi? Strange name, I know. They volunteered to go get him when I pinpointed where he was, and well... you (Cough) see what happened."

Alec coughed several more times from the marijuana smoke and flicked ashes into the nearby tray. He took Cross' Hunter Sword from his back and lie it across the desk handle first toward Jr.

"Check that out, I just remembered that you were a sword fanatic... So, yeah. I sent Cala Jo after the guy now, you remember Cala, yeah? I need you to head back to Sugure. Amaranth has been in a bad way, she's gonna need you out there. She closed the island, kicked that Himitsu lady and her pet dragon thing off, was gonna have the island eat them if they didn't vacate. Go and see about your niece, son. You're top staff out there, she's gonna need her hands..."

Jr listened to his father while crunching down chips. His bored expression didn't change much, and he shook his head while smirking somewhat. Under that suit, Jr figured the guy was just a human, but he'd managed to outsmart his father for the most part, and flatten 2 of Amaranth's top people. He was dressed up like some sort of super hero/villain thing. It didn't seem like the guy was doing anything really dangerous, and if things really got out of hand he knew his father would just rage mode like he always did, and start shooting that shotgun of his, then there would be pieces of people everywhere that some poor sap would have to clean up.

Jr put down his bag of chips and dusted off his hands and fingers before picking up the sword that was lay across the desk. He unsheathed the weapon to look at the craftsmanship and feel the weight. A whiff of holy water and closer inspection told Jr that the weapon emitted it, making it deadly against beings such as Vampires and Undead. "Cala... I think she was in INC with you all back in the day...Malkavian. Just as nutty as Demi," said Jr, expertly twirling the weapon in front of him, listening to the sound the weapon made as it cut the air. Jr was a practiced swordsman so there was no danger of hitting Haikyo.

Jr sheathed the sword back into it's case and put it back on the desk. He picked up his bag of chips again and began stuffing his face. "That guy wanted to protect Haikyo and got his ass whooped like that? Didn't he say he was a Dragon? I thought Dragons were supposed to be like, immune to something like that. He spanked their asses, man. I was wondering when i'd be needed again, a gooda time as any to head back...Where's Amaranth find these guys, anyway? Gonna have to ask her some things when I see her..." He looked at Haikyo. "Well, you ready to head back to the beach? Soak up some rays? Have some creepy guy come out of the bushes trying to show you his junk?"

"Just as?", she commented in response to Jr.'s statement about how nutty Cala was. Dez shook her head and chuckled. "Cala's far worse then Demi..." She found herself wondering how long it was going to take Cala to find the kid with the V on his chest, and she wondered exactly what Cala had in store for the kid. She could have peeked into Cala's mind before she left in an attempt to see, but she preferred to avoid the headache from all of that chaos.

"Just hope Cala doesn't get her ass handed to her like they did... though she'd probably like it.", she muttered beneath her breath before turning and staring back at the window. She was worried about her daughter: she didn't like Amaranth out on the island anymore, not in charge at least... the stress was beginning to get to her, and she could tell. But, the idea of Junior going out there and being there encase something happened eased some of her tension she was beginning to feel. She still felt she was going to have to go out there eventually and make sure everything was alright for herself.

A Malkavian? Haikyo had no idea exactly what that was, but she gathered enough to know that whatever it was it was crazy, and strongly so. When Junior asked her if she was ready to back to the island she laughed softly, "To go back to the beach and soak up some sun? Sure! As far as some other random creepy guy showing up? I think I'll pass on that note." She really hoped she wasn't going to have to deal with another weirdo. Her time here in Edge had been more than nice, so the last thing she wanted to do was to go back and have to deal with another creepy person.

"But yeah, when ever you want to go I'm ready." The idea of going back to Sugure and soaking up some much needed sun was good, and she knew with the way that Junior had got the both of them here in the first place that if he chose to go back the same way it wasn't going to take that long at all.

Cala would be out in the streets, keeping her eyes peeled. Alec was prepared to look through the cameras and record the next episode of this entertaining performance. He'd watch for now, but was fully prepared to step in if things got too out of hand. Would Flynn and Ryuukishi retaliate? Flynn didn't seem the type, but Ryuukishi... Alec knew Dragons were all prideful and all that, but he didn't know Ryuukishi.

"Good having you back around here, kiddo. Settled those old demons I see, yeah? Better to leave that madness in the past. Go help your niece with her island, calm her down."

Alec held out a hand to shake towards his kid.

His father was going to sit here and watch everything through these cameras and put it all together like it was some sort of movie. Jr knew this beating here would make a new edition to his collection. This stuff going on around here was no business of his, so back to paradise he went...

"Thanks for having us dad, we'll be going now," said Jr, shaking his father's hand. "I'll have myself a look see over here and at this comic book going on every once in a while. Ya need me, you know where I am... Come on, Haikyo."

Jr went to poke his sister before leaving out of the office, leaving the door open for Haikyo.

Destiny laughed, the first sign of amusement to cross her face in a while; not that it wasn't there, she had just grown good at hiding it. She poked her brother back and grinned. "Maybe I'll come by the island... come harass you while you're trying to take a nap or something.", she called out after them, grinning playfully.

She was far calmer already knowing that Junior was on his way back over to Amaranth's island. Her daughter would be more than safe with all of them over there now; and maybe Amaranth would be far less stressed then she had been. Maybe she'd create some sort of gift or something for Amaranth as a surprise, something special and rare.

She yawned and stretched skyward. "Well... I suppose nothing to do now but sit around and see how this plays out with Cala. Think I might come up with some sort of gift or something for Amaranth... something to ease her stress and make her happy."

Haikyo gave a friend wave goodbye and watched as Junior went and poked the other female. She smiled and then turned, following him out of the office. She really couldn't wait to get back, all of that heat and sunshine would be lovely, and knowing that Himitsu and her dragon were gone meant that she wouldn't have to worry about being harassed, or dragged off of Sugure no Shima to be forced back to the white city.

She was definitely looking forward to a nice long nap in the sun, soaking up some sun rays...
