Meeting new Friends [NR][Demi, Flynn, or Invite]

She turned her head in the direction the female pointed. Across the sea, eh? Not that hard for her, she could either speed her ass across the water, or run along the bottom of the ocean. Not needing to breath except to smell came in handy a lot of the time. And the way Niala described her ability to jump through time didn't startle much of a response from her; she'd known about it since she first saw her arrive back in Edge city.

She glanced at Flynn and shrugged. "I'm calm enough to go now.. to bad this curse of mine doesn't have wings, would save me the energy... Dragon and all, yet the damn thing can't even fly." The air suddenly shimmered around her, the dragon-like creature suddenly speaking up in a growl of a voice. "Bite me.", it said out loud. Demi blinked, raised a brow and shook her head. "Rather not, probably chip a tooth. Besides.. you look rather chewy and unappetizing." The air shimmered once more, an angered roar sounding. Demi merely cackled and bit her bottom lip, keeping her mouth shut. She knew any more insults and she'd be tempting her curses fate, and she didn't want to do that, it was bad enough the thing was strong and powerful to speak and make noise without being fully awakened.

"Travel is not an issue for me. I may not be as fast as either of you... but I can travel farther and in longer bursts without issues. Tigers love the water, so a good swim is nothing that bothers me. So long as someone can meet me across the sea; I can be there in a few hours."

Or whatever, if someone had a faster option; he'd take it, no problems at all. He'd learned a long time ago that he had the stomach for warp travel and flight; being nobility had it's perks. He knew of technologies that even the highest civilizations of the current eras could only dream of after all.

"Shall we set a meeting point?"

Niala thought for a moment and then grinned. "Straight in that direction there's a single giant lighthouse. It sits on the top of a cliff. We could meet there. They've always got the light on, so it's not hard to spot. I'll be on the top railing of the place... I like it up there, it's nice."

With that said she stood, stretching skywards. She took several steps in the direction she pointed and then her entire form seemed to compress and she was gone; disappearing from sight. She reappeared on the lighthouse, and figuring she was going to have a while to wait sat herself down and pulled out one of her favorite books from her dress pocket, and sat down comfortably to read while she waited.

She blinked as she watched the female disappear. "That just doesn't look comfortable at all.", she said after a moment. She then shrugged her shoulders, looking to Flynn. "Shall we, then? Time to go cause myself to smell like the ocean..."

With that said she took off in the direction that Niala had begun to walk before she disappeared; not moving nearly as fast as she could. She would get there, but she wasn't going to waste a whole bunch of energy getting there when she might need it later; especially if her father was capable of putting up a nasty fight. He obviously had some sort of power, and the same ability as Niala, but what else he had up his sleeve was a mystery. If it was only herself she had to worry about than she would've run in without a second thought; but she'd be damned if she got either of them, especially Flynn, hurt.

She made it to the ocean and ran right into it, disappearing beneath the surface as she began her travel beneath the water. It would take a bit, but eventually the light house, blurry and distorted from her position beneath the water, was in sight. She slowed to a walk and walked right out of the water and onto the beach; drenched, but there.

He took the moment to watch them both disappear; a habit of an old solider used to rear guard when not scouting ahead. He waited until he was satisfied before shifting forms. Clothing seemed to melt into fur as he fell forward onto paws larger then some small mammals. A moment of sniffing the air; nose lifted and tail stilled; a last search for danger. From a slow walk he built momentum; seeming to melt over the ground with a grace only a tiger could show. By the time the salt air of the sea stung his nose he was moving faster then a blurr; move then enough for him to leap at the water line and cover half a mile before impacting water again; seeming to move just as effectively in a swim then a run; maybe even better.

This was his element; a strong swimmer by nature and love and practice. He would cover the entire width of the sea in only twenty minutes; 10 times the speed of the fastest ferries between the island and the mainlands. It was a sight to behold; if you could. Even when he came within range of a boat; he merely needed to dive below; moving more like a fish then a mammal then; paws tucked to his body and spine serpentine in movement; his thin tail still enough when combined with his large bulk to not loose speed.

And then paws began to graze the buried rocks and he was there; finding on to stand upon before launching himself at the cliff face; sharp claws digging right into the rock face and giving him perfect grip on the salt slicked rocks. Up he went, higher and higher; still easier then moving to the beach cove and walking up the cliff; more exercise too.

To the base of the lighthouse he was now; shaking water from his fur and seeming to dry instantly; a quirk of his species. He would wait there; not feeling a reason to climb the lighthouse really; he was merely following them; that was all.
