Following the Link [Travel][Flynn, or Invite][NR]

Her mother was alive, she just had to be. There was no other explanation her little five year old mind could come up with as to why she felt her mother as if she were alive. The connection was faint, almost not even there at all, but there was enough for her to be able to follow. Enough for her to realize that her mother was in Edge City, posibly back in that very tall building they had been staying in for a little over a week.

"MOMMY! I'M COMING MOMMY!"

Words shouted before she took off, little feet carrying her across the beach. The speed which Demi normally showed now did so with her as she took off, running across the top of the water as she pushed herself as fast as her little legs would carry her. She was so utterly determined to find the source of this link she was feeling that she wasn't about to allow anything to stand in her way.

That boat that was slowly drifting by? Jumped it. The giant boulders and rocks that stuck out of the small little islands that dotted the way to the next shore? Plowed through them. There was going to be no stopping Nanalie, not until she reached her mother.

On land she was equally as dangerous, moving with great speed and accomplishing feats that she otherwise wouldn't have even tried: dodging around buildings at break neck speeds. Until finally... Darkman Tower was in her sights, and she was standing before the building and the wall that surrounded it.

"MOMMY! I want to see my mommy!"

Outside; the water wasn't an obstacle, not even for a cat like him. He was a tiger. Tiger thrived in water. She was smaller; legs shorter and strides smaller; but she was still of himself and Demi; speed was her very nature; her greatest physical aspect. She was faster then he was; his old legs could only be pushed so hard anymore; his body couldn't keep up like it used too.

The very reason why this all happened...

Not now... not yet... he'd fall into despair later; when it was safe again and he knew Nanlie was safe.

Water might as well have been solid, flat rock for all it hampered him; the trail he daughter left easy to follow. When he saw her standing there; that tower where her family was... even he could see it; the aura of power concentrated in one place.


Head bowed; he ran right into her; not to tackle or hurt; but to slip below and hoist her upon his shoulders; enough momentum and strength left in his body to climb the sheer wall. He'd take them through a window if he had to; which he about did. Instead; a small ledge with a service door; headbutted into oblivion and access to the right floor was had. A wall? nothing to him; even slowing down as he was. He wouldn't shove the door down; he had some semblance of manners left. Yes; his nose impacted the door to the room; but to them it would sound as nothing more then a polite knock; the shift from tiger to humanoid form healing the shattered sinus cavity that had made the knocking sound. Nanalie was perched safely on his shoulders; she could launch herself from that spot without worry once the door was opened; his flattened palm pressed to the wood and shoving it open; locked or not; it wouldn't matter.
