We come in peace [Open][NR]

Something dropped down from the skies, dark colored. it approached swiftly and looked as if it would crash. As it neared the ground, it slowed and came to a stop hovering above the surface of the pavement, creating an incredible gust of wind and a dust cloud. A man, appearing to have a set of transparent wings.

Alec Kane, setting his feet on the ground, stood 6 feet 6 inches. He was wearing a black hooded coat with red lining, the hood off. He wore a white wife beater, jeans, boots and fingerless gloves. Alec had piercing silver eyes, black uncombed hair and a pale complexion.

As he landed in an unknown city, a sarcastic expression was on his young face as he began to walk the streets. Upon arriving in this city, he started to feel strange. Was it that there was some kind of protection field in place? Alec attempted to use his extreme speed, seeing that he was unable to do so, confirming his theory. Still, he only grinned.

"Careful... There some kind of stipulation to this city. You won't be able to use your powers and abilities to their full potential. So let's keep things friendly, alright? Seems we might be at a disadvantage."

If there was some kind of protection field in play similar to the Dead Zone back home, Alec was sure that whoever put it in play was immune to it's effects. Alec didn't need speed to win fights, nor did he need his game changing powers. He had many tricks up his sleeve. Should things turn violent, he would improvise...

For now, Alec just walked the streets, taking in the sights. Whoever ran this place had to know that they were here by now. Someone would come looking.

A mass of crows flew in to situate itself nearby Alec. Many of the crows spread away from something large and black within the mass, to land and perch upon window sills and gutters. The large and black thing was a young man. He was dressed completely in black: hooded jacket, the hood up, masking most of his face from view, shirt, pants, boots, fingerless gloves. What could be seen of Kuro's face revealed a pale complexion and a grin similar to that of Alec.

He landed, unfolded his harms and slipped his hands into his jacket pockets. Alec gave a warning when they'd began to walk. A spell was in play here in this city, according to what Alec was saying, that dulled powers and strength. Alec asked that they keep things friendly because they were at a disadvantage.

"I understand," was Kuro's replay to Alec, but if someone decided to try them, he would not hesitate to protect himself and Alec.

It was a fascinating walk so far through the streets. Sensory for the moment detected no one coming towards them. He could hear conversations from the pedestrians around them, some of these people calling them foreigners and asking why they were here.

"I'll be our eyes and ears, Alec," he said. "Not only am I a master sensor, I can hear things most people cannot. Should a hostile approach i'll let you know..."

Things were calm for now. That could change in 1 second. Kuro knew this well.

"Sir, there's something on the radar, approaching fast. Two of them."

Wonderful. Only a few days on the job, and things were already happening. "You sure its not just a private plane?"

"Already checked, sir. No one filed a flight plan for today, and none of the student flight schools are in that direction."

"Alright, I'll check it out. Continue tracking and monitoring them, and keep me updated." Samael would tap his Communication Orb that hung around his neck next to his rosary, clearly indicating his prefered method. With Kurikara in hand and his guns holstered on his body, he would leave the security station.

Communication Orb:

It was a beautiful day; the sun was shining, and the air was sweet with the pugnet scent of flowers in bloom. He was dressed in his school uniform which consists of a white button down shirt, a loose necktie, a black jacket, and black pants. Kurikara was gripped in his left hand as he made his way through the streets.

It wasnt long before he heard a voice in his ear; given that the Commmunication Orb was touching his skin, he was able to utilize it without anyone knowing.

"Boss?"

"Yea, sup?"

"Those two bogies touched down. One was a man with black hair in a black coat with red lining. The other... a man came out a mass of birds, wearing an all black; he's got a hood on. I'll try running thier faces through the database, see what I can come up with. By the way, those birds seem to be moving about ahead of them." That was strange. A flying man, and a birdman. Was one of them a lawyer?

"Location?"

"Several blocks south of you, headed in your direction. They're currently on Main and 9th." True enough, Sam was begining to see birds; ones that were obviously not native to this region. An eyebrow would raise; more than likely, they were being controlled by the birdman.

"ETA?"

"Five, maybe ten minutes given how fast they're moving."

"Inform the Haikyo, and tell her to get in touch with me."

"Roger that. Out." With the communication cut, Samael would continue along the road, aiming to intercept the duo. He knew he was being watched; security cameras were situated on traffic and street lights, monitoring everything that was going on. But if he knew they were there, it wouldnt be long before those other two did as well. And if those birds really belonged to that birdman, then they had to know he was coming as well. It wasnt long before he could see them in the distance; the description was fairly accurate

Sarcastic grin still on his face and a cocky strut in his step, Alec continued up the street they were on, looking for any house or building that was bigger than normal. Perhaps that would be the one the Boss lived in. Pedestrians looked at them strangely, and Alec just looked back at them with that comical look on his face. Alec could have used his radar to have himself a decent look around, but Kuro said he had his own form of sensory, and that he could hear things other people couldn't. Alec decided to see how good he was and let him work.

A wind blew, and Alec could smell flowers. Another scent came along with the flowers; one that was the pungent stink of Demon. Were there Demons here? It was a smell he knew all too well. If there really were Demons here, they'd know he was an Angel. Excitement ran through him and made goosebumps appear on his skin. Would these Demons be hostile?

Alec could feel the family birthmark on his back beginning to itch.

Several crows were circling around above him. Some were sitting on the gutters of buildings and houses, and in the surrounding trees. Kuro was telepathically connected to them. He saw what they saw.

His sensory rang in first, as someone of extraordinary power began toward them. His crows spotted him next. He was dressed in a uniform which consisted of a white button down shirt, a loose necktie, a black jacket, and black pants. A sword was in his hand. There were likely other weapons as well.

"Someone is coming toward us," Kuro said, keeping his hands in his pockets, his pace not changing. "He's dressed in a white shirt, black jacket, black pants. He's armed with a sword. With the way he's moving he'll intercept us in moments."

Kuro could have engaged him from here. It would be a simple task in his eyes to deal with the incoming individual from long range, before he'd even see he or Alec. Kuro wouldn't act, though. He'd wait and see what Alec would do, and follow his lead. The last thing Kuro wanted to do would be to paint a bad picture of Edge or Makkura.

He would stop at a distance of half a block away [Approximately 450 feet away], and keep a calm eye on this duo. He there was something in the air -- something unearthly about one of them. One was covered up, his face and body features hidden; That had to be the Birdman. And the other... he had a strange look on his face. What was his deal?

His head would tip to the side, calmly taking in thier measure. Just who were they, and why were they here? No time like the present to find out.

"Thats far enough, gentlemen." Blue eyes carefully slipped between the two of them, waiting calmly. If it came down to a fight, he could handle his own. "I represent the Soubi Shigai Council, the governing body of this city. How can I help you?"

Short and to the point. He was not going to waste anytime.

Kuro said company was incoming. It didn't cause him to slow down, or to change his mood. Alec knew sooner or later someone was going to come investigating the 2 intruders in their city.

Then there he was. He was half a block away, looking just like Kuro said he would. The wind was blowing from his direction, carrying with it the unmistakable smell of Demon. It was enough to cause the large Angel Sword to appear upon his back within it's invisible sheath, sticking there as if glued. It was glowing brightly in the presence of he who was unholy.

He said "That's far enough," but Alec didn't stop walking, although his pace did slow up. He said he represented the Soubi Shinkai council, the governing body. Soubi Shinkai. That was the name of this place. Being so close to Velo, which was also a Shinkai once, it came as no surprise. As much fun as it would be to see what this guy was about, as he was part of the governing council, this also had to mean that he would probably have way to get around this strange effect in place. It didn't mean he was scared though. Dampening field or not, Alec had many tricks.

"We're here to see the boss... If you'd be so kind, you could take us to him, or have him come here... Either doesn't really matter. We don't plan on staying long."

When the other person appeared, Kuro took his hands out of his pockets. Some of his crows landed on adjacent gutters of buildings and houses on both sides of the road, staring down at the man, cawing. One crow, larger than the others, came down to land on Kuro's left shoulder.

He said they'd come far enough, and that he was part of the governing council of Soubi Shinkai. Was that the name of this place?... With his head tipped to the side, his eyes moving between he and Alec, the man seemed to be sizing them up. Kuro's hands were already in the beginnings to form the first hand sign. The shadows around Kuro seemed to come to life and begin to move on their own, all the while the grin never leaving what could be seen of his face.

A large glowing sword appeared on Alec's back. It made him wonder what exactly he was capable of, since he continued walking towards the man with that funny look on his face. Even with whatever was hindering them, Alec seemed supremely confident. He must have had vast battle experience to remain confident in conditions like these, or he was insane. But, if Alec was sure they could hold their own if it came down to a fight, then Kuro was sure as well.

Alec said he wanted to see the boss. The man could take them to him, or bring him here. With his pace slowed to match Alec's Kuro wondered if the mad would do as Alec requested, or go another angle.

”Gentlemen.... welcome to Soubi... how can I help you?”, would come Haikyo's voice from the heavens as she came swooping in. Her form was that of a phoenix – comprised mainly of fire though it would give off no heat. Upon landing about two feet behind and off to the left of Sammael she would transform to that of her human-looking form: shoulder length red hair, eyes that would look as if they held fire, and wearing a white a and black stripped top that hung from her shoulders, white leggings, and black boots. ”My name is Haikyo, I'm the Boss of this lovely little slice of paradise.”

Haikyo would fall silent then, giving them a chance to explain their reasoning for coming here. She folded her hands loosely in front of herself, and her stance remained entirely non-threatening. She had no reason to try and start trouble with anyone: visitors were allowed of course so long as they didn't intend to cause trouble.

It seemed that this man didnt want to heed Samael's words; he continued forward. The Birdman would form out some strange sign in the air with his hands; what was that?

Very well. He would have been wise to heed the words of Soubi Shikai's Judgemaster. Samael would concentrate for the briefest moment, allowing his mind to pull upon the reserves of powe--

”Gentlemen.... welcome to Soubi... how can I help you?”

It seemed the boss herself decided to show up, coming down out of the sky in her natural form. If these men were truely here to see her, this was the defining moment. If things got out of hand, he was prepared to defend Haikyo to his last breath. He would relax for the moment, keeping his eyes on them for the moment, but never lowering his guard; surely as this man had arrived in the birds that now sat atop the roofs, gutters and signs he could command them to attack.

For the moment, however there was nothing for him to do but wait and see.

Seemed like the guy was about to attack. The left hand went behind him, beneath his coat, to the small of his back, to grip the handle to one of his Desert Eagles. The right grabbed the grip of the Angel Sword. While both of his silver eyes began to change to a hue of crimson red, Alec went low, then--

A giant bird flew down from the skies above. At first, Alec thought that maybe it was one of Kuro's birds, but something was familiar about this bird. It was no ordinary bird, but a Phoenix. Alec was reminded of his lost wife, Sunny. The bird transformed into a humanoid form; a female. She introduced herself as Haikyo, the boss of Soubi Shinkai. Alec held up a hand towards Kuro after removing his from his weapons and stood up straight.

"...I know you... You used to live on Sunset Island, back when it was called Sugure... I remember you coming into the office of Darkman Tower once before too, in Edge, back when I was Boss... You know my son, Jr. He saved you from a Demon once, on the beach... You were a kid back then, and now you're grown up, and the Boss of your own city. That's good!"

Well. Someone he knew was running this place. It honestly made Alec feel much better. There was no reason to fight or for any hostility. He couldn't speak for Haikyo's Demon bodyguard, but as she was running the place, Alec felt more relaxed.

"We'd come over here to explore the place. We didn't even know this place existed until recently... you've been under the radar. I don't know if you all are aware of what's going on in the rest of the world, but we also came to bring warnings. Especially now that I know you're here."

An attack was coming. Kuro instantly was down on one knee, completing his hand sign. The crows above began to circle over head very rapidly. The shadows themselves beneath Kuro began to grow and expand, then shoot themselves like a mass of snakes towards the man before them.

Before Kuro's shadows could join with the man's shadows, A bird came down from above. A large bird. It was on fire, but there was no warmth being given off. This was no ordinary bird. This was confirmed when the bird transformed into an attractive woman. Alec put a hand up, signaling for Kuro to cancel what he was doing. The shadows slithered away, and Kuro stood up again. The crows above again took positions on gutters and rooftops.

Alec explained that he knew this girl. He said the female had come into the office in the tower back in Edge, and that his son Jr had saved her life once, back when they were children, and Alec was the Boss of Edge. If this was true, then there would be no need for violence. Kuro slipped his hands back into his pockets.

Alec said he had warnings. Kuro already knew what they were. He was excited for the chance to have almost fought, but it was fine that they weren't.

Haikyo listened to the dark haired man speak, taking a good look at him and indeed seeing some similarities that she hadn't recognized before: Alec Kane in the flesh. Though, she had no idea who the darkly dressed individual was with him. When he finished speaking she would nod and grin, her own stance relaxing even more then it had been. ”Ah, yes. I remember you now, Mister Kane.” She nodded her head towards the large palace towards the top of the volcano, but not all that far away. ”Follow me, this way we can talk in a more private setting.”

If they were willing to follow her she would lead the way up the short path that would led to the Palace and inside. Past the receptionist and across the decorative floor. She would led the way down a short hallway lined with guards outside of every door and into her office. She would take a seat behind her desk and then motion to the comfortable chairs in front of it. ”Please, have a seat.”

Once settled she would grin a bit. ”I've only been in charge of this place for a little over a week now, actually. It was a tiny little village before that. Rose Academy helps some; it's dedicated souly to the education of young magical beings so it's given us a bit of a name now.”

She would raise an eyebrow then. ”So, what warnings did you have? I take it something's going on...” If Sammael had followed them in she would glance over to him: he was her head of security after all./ ”This is my head of security, by the way, it's why he intercepted you when you arrived.” She would allow Sammael to introduce himself; and give them whatever name he chose to – she knew he had two he went by after all.

It would seem that the boss did indeed know this man, an individual by the name of Kane. Wether that was his first or last name, Sam didnt ask; there would be time for questions later. With the boss relaxing because she knew this man, there would be no need for this situation to be so tense; Samael himself would relax a bit.

This man said he was coming with a warning; what was that about? Things happening in the rest of the world? If it was something serious enough that a former boss was going about personally to warn other nations about, then Sam was not about to miss it. As Haikyo would invite these two strangers into the palace to discuss the matters in private, Samael would take the moment to inform the Security Station what was about to happen. A brief second of concentration on the communication orb, and the link was established.

"Carl. Coming home; bogies appear friendly. Bringing them in as guests."

"Roger that, boss. Teams on stand-by."

With the link cut, Samael would turn and begin making his way to the Palace, following after Haikyo and the strange duo. It wouldnt take them long to reach the office; once everyone was inside, Samael would close the wood and glass doors for privacy. He would make his way to Haikyo's side and settle on the edge of her desk, just in time for her to introduce him. At her prompting he would give them his name.

"David Iscariot, Head of Security." A lie, but it was a needed one. He was not permitted to reveal his true name to people unless he was in thier employment, or they were cleared by the Vatican. But even still, its not like anyone knew his true name; it was known to only select Vatican officials. There were no computer records; data as sensitive as the true names of members of the Iscariot branch were kept on blessed parchment to keep them from being divined or scryed, and locked in a vault that prevented supernatural beings from being able to enter or affect it. For all intents and purposes, he could have said his name was Johnny Appleseed, and there was nothing for them to do but believe him.

For the moment, Samael would wait expectantly, somewhat eager to hear this news.

It was a good thing she remembered him, even with him being altered to a younger state. otherwise, Alec was sure a fight would have broke out. The Angel Sword stopped glowing, but remained on his back. Sometimes it seemed like the sword that had been at his side all of his life had a mind of it's own.

Haikyo suggested they go somewhere more private to talk. After a glance and a nod to Kuro, he began to follow along with she and her demon security guard. They were lead up a path and into a palace that had many guards. The inside of the palace reminded him of the tower back home in Makkura. Inside of her office, Haikyo sat behind a desk and motioned for he and Kuro to sit in the seats provided. After willing the Angel Sword to go back inside of his family birthmark, the weapon vanishing from sight, Alec sat and relaxed.

After asking about the warnings, she introduced her demon body guard as what Alec figured him to be, head of security. He responded as David Iscariot, and Alec nodded his head. As he was the security of the village, he'd want to hear about this just as much as Haiyko did.

"There's a cult of individuals going around. They call themselves Templars. They're well funded and seem to have their fingers into some of everything. Politics, commerce, the economy, everything. Templars are all about the business of unity, order, and most of all, control. These are bad people. They're not above extortion and kidnapping to achieve their goals. They're so well funded that they have devices that fit around the neck, designed to kill your powers and special abilities, turning you into nothing more than an ordinary human.

...but fighting against them are what's known as the Assassin Order; the good guys. All about freedom and liberty, and living however you want to live, instead of being told how you can live; the exact opposite of the Templars. The two of them have been fighting for centuries over artifacts from a time long past; artifacts called "Pieces of Eden." Not everyone on the planet possesses the right genes to wield these artifacts, but in the right hands, they allow people to do... most anything you can imagine. Take control of people's minds. Change the world. Rewrite the rules of nature. Anything...

Once they were in the hands of the Assassins, but they were betrayed by one of their own, seduced by the Templars. The Assassins were all wiped out, except for one. She lives in Edge now, and she's slowly rebuilding. The Templars are looking for the Pieces of Eden. They're all over the world, and if i'm not mistaken, there's one here somewhere. If you happen to see some sharp dressed smooth talking individuals all wearing a red cross, don't trust them.

If you happen to find this artifact, my suggestion would be to hide it. Lock it away somewhere that no one can get their hands on it..."

Kuro nodded back to Alec as they began walking through the city. His crows remained where they were since there was no threat anymore. The crow on his shoulder lifted off when they started walking, rejoining his fellow crows on the roofs of the buildings.

They went into a palace and down a hall into an office. Alec sat after his sword disappeared - something that still confused the Nara - so Kuro had a seat as well. He remained silent as Alec told the story of the Templars, the Assassins, the long fighting they'd been doing, and the Pieces of Eden.

Kuro had to admit that he wanted to see one of these artifacts for himself. How would it affect him, seeing as he wasn't from this world? he found himself wanting to get involved in the conflict, but first and foremost his duties to Alec and Makkura came first.

How would Haikyo and David react to this news? It was a bombshell to be sure, but Alec wasn't even done yet...

Alec sat after making his sword disappear and his companion did as well. Sammael joined her by her desk after closing the doors.

Haikyo listened to Sammael introduce himself and then focused her attention onto Alec. He explained about a cult of individuals known as the Templar's. These Templar's were well funded and had their fingers in everything. They were all about unity, order, and control. He said that they were bad people, and not above kidnapping people to get what they want. He also described a device that could go around someone's neck that essentially took away all of their power and left them like an ordinary human: such a device was horrifying to even think about.

However, all was not apparently lost as there was an order of Assassin's whose purpose was to fight against them. These Assassin's stood for the opposite of what the Templar's did and had been going back and forth with the Templar's for a very long time over artifacts known as the Pieces of Eden – these Pieces of Eden were exceptionally powerful and they definitely sounded like something Haikyo didn't want to see in the wrong hands.

He went on to explain that these Pieces of Eden were once in the hands of the Assassin's, but that the order had fallen after being betrayed by one of their own. Now the last Assassin left was living in Edge City and trying to rebuild the group from the ground up: it sounded like a hard task to accomplish. ”We'll definitely keep our eyes open for these individuals you described. I'll also try and take a look around and see if I can find any reference to a Piece of Eden on Soubi; and I'll ensure it's locked up tightly if it's not already. I really don't like the sound of these Templar's, nor the idea of the sort of devices you described them to have...” Yes, this was definitely most troubling. They already had their own issue with her new intern behind hunted down by demons, but now it seemed they had more on their plate to worry about. She figured this was all part of the job of being a Boss though, so she would deal with it to the best of her ability.

Samael listened carefully about the tale of a secret society wanting to take over the world, while another wanted to keep it safe. It seemed a bit too strange to be true, but then again, it was a concept he was familiar with...

But these guys called themselves 'Templars'? Was that not the name of a group of Knights that the Holy Mother Churh once endorsed back in 1129? It was said that they were a beloved charity of the masses back in the day until the end of the Crusades. Apparently in 1312, the group was disbanded by Pope Clement V. But given what this man was saying, it seemed that they continued on in secret, or something.

As Kane finished speaking, Samael would remain silent. He would definately keep an eye out for the people that Kane described, even without Haikyo's agreement with Kane. He didnt need this kind of trouble within his city.

Alec pulled out his cellphone and opened a picture he'd taken of the Templar cross. He held up his phone so that both Haikyo and David could see it. Haikyo said she'd be on the look out for them, and while David gave no response, Alec was sure he'd be looking for these guys as well.

"Now, I wish that this was the only bit of grim news I brought over here, but unfortunately it's not. The question of whether or not we're alone in the universe is answered; we have an alien here on Earth with us. This isn't your typical little green alien with football shaped eyes and antennae on it's head. While he's only a child, this kid is insanely strong. From what we've been able to gather, he calls himself a "Saiyan."

The Saiyans are obviously a combat race. This kid is as tough as a piece of rubber, and everytime you knock him down, he bounces back twice as strong. He has several ways of multiplying his power, one of them being the ability to transform into a 100 foot tall ape. Something out of a movie, I know. I could hardly believe it when I saw it myself. That smoke on the horizon, Velo City... you have to be wondering what happened there. It was the alien kid, he wiped out the whole city by himself, in one shot.

I've tried talking some sense into the kid, and have him join up with me before something else bad happens. But it seems like he's really hard headed and stubborn. I don't know what he'll do. He could be still nearby, and he could come heading in this direction. He doesn't seem to have any purpose but just to fight strong opponents. He's cocky, headstrong, confident in his abilities, and very dangerous. If the two of you are forced to go head to head with him like I did, from my own assessments, he has 2 weaknesses. One of them is his tail. The other is his own ego. He's torn up 2 cities and blown another one up so far, and gotten into fights with several people who were left with severe injuries. Haikyo, David, please use this intel to your advantage if he comes here. I'd hate to see what happened to Velo happen here."

Alec told the story of this alien next, revealing that it was only a kid. A Saiyan, with no purpose but to fight. It had an ego and was cocky. Those were 2 weaknesses in Kuro's eyes. Cocky people tended to leave their guard down and themselves open. They wasted time running their mouths.

Although, with what Alec was saying, this kid had every right to be cocky and full of himself. He'd gotten into fights with people and left them injured. He'd caused damage to 2 cities and destroyed another. He was very tough, and had multiple ways of becoming stronger, one of which being the ability to become a giant monkey. All of this, and the kid was just a child. What would this kid be capable of once he grew up?

Kuro at least wanted to see what this kid looked like. Fighting him may not have been a good idea, not even with his Sage Mode.

Haikyo listened as Alec then went on to describe an alien creature called a Saiyan who was super strong. Even though this alien was just a kid he was able to cause a great deal of damage and was incredibly powerful. He always seemed to bounce back stronger when defeated, and he was the reason why Velo City was nothing but a smoking ruin now. This all caused Haikyo to frown, her brow furrowing: she had been wondering what had happened over there, and now she knew.

”Thank you for the heads up. We'll definitely keep our eye out for anything. The protections I placed on Soubi should help – but we'll definitely stay on our toes. I have no intention of allowing these people to come to harm, nor of watching what has been rebuilt fall to ruin.” She paused for a moment, thinking about what else she wanted to say: she didn't have a problem allowing her laws to be known – in fact, the more people who knew about them the better. ”As it stands now basic abilities are suppressed while within my city unless you have specific permissions around them. Most abilities do not work here either. When I put in the magic school I had to take certain precations to ensure that no one was hurt.”

Alec figured she had some sort of protection field in place, sort of like the ones over Edge, Makkura and Pacific City. With her confirmation he came to find that he was right in his assumption. It would be a bad idea to get into a fight with someone here without the means to get around her protections.

"I understand that... well. We'd better get going, Haikyo. I'll let Jr know that you're in charge over here. He may want to come visit you himself one of these days. You two were pretty close if I recall... Take care of yourselves."

Alec stood and gave a wave to she and David with his sarcastic grin. he then turned and made his way back outside, sure Kuro was right along with him. After engaging his wings, Alec blasted upwards, and began to move away from Soubi Shinkai.

This trip was ended, and it was time to leave. The warnings were given. It was nice to see a new city in this new world, though he couldn't help but to feel somewhat disappointed that he didn't get to fight and showcase his shadow skills. But with the knowledge that Alec knew this woman, it wasn't so bad.

Kuro stood when Alec did, and gave a slight bow when Alec waved. He followed him outside, where his crows gathered around him again as he took to the air. Following Alec, they began to head towards home.
