| Niala's hand shook as she stared down at the letter in her grasp. The letter was hand written on extremely fancy stationary paper, and had come in an equally fancy envelope. Yet, none of that mattered: Niala's eyes were glued to the signature at the bottom - Your Father, written in elegant writing. She hadn't spoken to her father in years; not since their last fight where she had left the house with only the clothes on her back and a few dollars in her pocket. Yet, now he was reaching out to her. She didn't even know how her father had found her since she had never bothered to update him on where she was living, let alone ever told him that she worked for the Company. She blinked a few times, forcing her eyes to focus so she could take in the rest of the letter and not on the tears that wanted to come spilling out of them... Dearest Niala,
I know that we have never been close and only I am to blame for this. I forced blame upon you that was not yours to shoulder, and I regret this so deeply. I was a bitter man and very selfish. I would love to make this up to you but I fear I no longer have that much time - I am an ill and dying man who is running short on time in this world. But, I would love if you would grace me with your presence once more so that I may explain things that I have kept hidden from you all of these years, and so that I may give you what is rightfully yours to have. I will be expecting you around 3 o'clock today if you can find enough forgiveness in your heart to grace me with your presence. You will find my address on the front of the letter.
Sincery, Your Father Niala's hand was violently shaking by the time she had reached her father's signature and the tears that had been threatening to spill over were now running down her cheek even as she lifted her empty left hand and swiped at them in an annoyed fashion - she didn't like crying. Was this a joke? Some sort of cruel humor? Or was this the real deal? Had her father truly seen the light? She didn't know, she really had no clue. She had hoped since she was a young girl that her father would one day forgive her for what was not her fault to begin with, but why had it taken him this long? She had far too many questions and not enough answers. She wanted to go, to see if this was truly the truth, and yet she was scared to go alone. Slowly she backed up until her back hit the outer wall of the office: she had been on her way up when she had opened the letter and seen who it was from. Once her back was against the wall she slid down until she was in a seated position; glad that she was wearing leggings and leather boots underneath of the sweater dress she had on. Once she was seated she took a deep breath and closed her eyes, batting away at the stray tears as she exhaled slowly and attempted to force herself to calm down. Once the tears were off her face she took another deep slow inhale and exhaled just as slowly... The letter now lay on the ground beside her.

| Deep breath in. Slow breath out. Deep breath in. Slow breath out. Deep breath in. Slow breath out. Why was this effecting her so much? She hadn't allowed herself to think of her father in years - outside of when she had explained some of the situations between her father and her to Junior when they'd gone on that date. Now her father was popping up out of the blue with some hand written letter stating he was sick and dying and apparently had so little time that he needed her to meet him at his home by 3 o'clock. It all made her feel sick to her stomach.
She wanted to believe this was real, and yet at the same time considering all that had gone on she was worried it wasn't. She wasn't going to miss the chance though, in case it was real, and so she slowly stood up from the ground and straightened her sweater dress over top of her leggings. She pulled out her Company cellphone and pressed the power button to get the screen to light up and reveal the time: she had only a little bit of time to go before her father would be expecting her.
She bit her bottom lip as she pondered how she wanted to go about it. She slipped her cellphone into her pocket and picked the letter and the envelope up off of the floor. She planned on telling someone she was leaving, just in case something did happen, but would it be even better of an idea to bring someone with her? She didn't know if this was a trap after all. She stared down at the letter as if expecting it to provide the answers: only pausing long enough to realize that she wasn't picking up any impressions off of the letter with her Future Sight abilities, which was completely weird considering it had been hand written...
