Survival Adventure Part 2 [Open][NR]

In his sleep he noticed something long and glowing moving it's way down towards him. The thing opened it's mouth to reveal two razor teeth and a long forked tongue.

A snake. As it lunged to bite Alec, the Stick sword was out and swung, lopping the creature in half. The long fat body fell out of the tree, causing smoke and sparks to rise fom what was left of the camp fire.

The sky above was turning blue again from the rising sun. Night was beginning to turn into day again. Alec stood up and sheathed the stick sword again, looking down at the body that was still wiggling around for some reason.

"Nice try, Mr constrictor..."

Eyes blinked open slowly as she heard what sounded like a blade moving through something. She sat up, glancing around, to spot the now headless wiggling body of the giant snake. She lifted her hands and rubbed hurriedly at her eyes, trying to attempt them to focus more. "Whoa, you alright? Did it get ya?", she asked sleepily. If her brother said no, that he was alright, her mind would begin to churn with ideas.

The idea of the snake's skin gave her an idea: waste not want not after all. Seraphina yawned softly and then spoke, "Unless you have some sort of plans for that snake it's skin would make a nice quiver for all of those arrows I made last night... save me room in my bag, plus I'd be able to get to my arrows more quickly." Plus it would be easier to get to them that way, especially if her bow was needed in a hurry.

While she waited for her brother's answer she would look over to Kurai and Little Kong, wondering if the death of the snake had woken them up too, or if they had already been up. She then picked up her cloak and gave it a little shake out before rolling it up tightly and putting it back into her bag. She was glad she had brought the thing, as it was more comfortable to lay on it then the cold hard ground likely would have been. She double checked that her stick sword was still hooked to the red sash that went around her waist, and once satisfied she took a sip of the water in her metal canteen.

Little Kong was awake before Kurai was, to grab the dead snake and slam it around while screeching loudly. If it was one thing Little Kong hated with a passion, it was snakes.

Kurai woke up fully and sat up, pulling Little Kong away from the dead snake. He was struggling to get out of Kurai's hands to continue the beat down, even with it being dead. "Calm down, it's dead," Kurai said, standing. "Come, let's go wash our faces and get something to drink."

Little Kong continued screeching and trying to get out of Kurai's calm hands as he walked past the snake and down towards the river.

"No, it didn't get me, i'm fine. If you want to use the skin, go for it. I can't stand snakes..."

Alec laughed some at the angry little monkey pummeling the dead snake. It appeared that Little Kong hated the slithery things just as much as he did. Alec stood to his feet and stretched, looking in the direction that they had to travel. it was starting to get hot again, even this early in the morning, which meant that today was going to be a scorcher. He poured a container of water over his head.

"We should start making as much distance as we can before it gets too hot. We'll probably have to find some shade in the afternoon..."

Seraphina watched as Little Kong began to whoop the already dead snake's ass, and giggled softly. She didn't like snakes all that much either, but she would use the skin if it would solve her need for a quiver. She watched Kurai and Little Kong head down to the river before she turned and made quick work of cutting the backside of the tail off of the snake with her sword.

She then peeled back the thick skin from the meat, noticing that it was like removing a wet slippery sock, making quick work of it. She pulled off another strand and used that to keep the quiver on her back. She then filled it with her arrows, knowing it would dry quick enough in the heat.

When she was finished she nodded to Alec and went down to the river right fast. She splashed water on her head and face and then refilled up her canteen so she had a fresh supply of water for the next bit of their journey, all which took about thirty or so seconds. She then returned to Alec side, ready to go with all of her supplies on her back, including her new longbow.

"I'm all ready to go.", she said with a grin.

Kurai and Little Kong, after he'd calmed down, washed their faces in the river. Behind them, Seraphina took the opportunity to use the snake skin to make a quiver for her arrows.

He couldn't help but to wonder what was next to see, and also why Kua hadn't woken up through all of this. Sooner or later the bull would come to and see that they weren't in the darkness of Makkura anymore, but out and about in this new world.

Kurai and Little Kong returned to the camp site, and Kurai packed up his belongings, shaking the dirt and growth from his blanked beforehand. "Ready when you are, Kuraikage..."

So the trek continued... Alec lead the way out of the hunting grounds, crossing a couple of rivers and having to climb a couple of rock faces, until the fighting grounds were upon them. He had to hop a large fence to get inside. This area was much like the Hunting Grounds, except there were mostly trees and forest here. Various clearings dotted the forest as they moved along, and there was a big clearing in the center.

The trees did well to hide the burning sun. Had they been the first ones to ever visit this area? Had Amaranth or someone been out here? The whole place looked untouched. Alec made his way around the big clearing in the center, where there looked to be Leapords and Jaguar gathered. He wanted to avoid getting into it with anything if he could. Alec made sure to avoid getting in the downwind, where their scents could be easily picked up upon.

As they continued on with their journey Seraphina kept an eye out for any herbs, especially those used for teas and other tasty drinks - figuring they might eventually get tired of water or need something warm and tasty to drink. Everything she gathered along the way went into the side pocket of her bag. She also snatched up dry grass which could be used as tinder and stuffed that into another pocket of her bag; keeping it separated from the herbs she had found.

When they reached the fenced in area she tilted her head back and looked up: the fence was of decent height and seemed to go on in either direction for miles upon miles. What was the owner of the island so worried about keeping in here? She wasn't going to let her question stop her though, and so she climbed up after her brother and once over the fence jumped lightly to the ground. She landed in a crouch and straightened up, glancing around to make sure she didn't disturb anything before continuing on after her brother.

It was definitely nice to get into some shade and out of the direct hot sunlight. As they moved Seraphina kept her hand near her stick sword, ready to pull it out in case something jumped out at them. She followed closely as her brother kept downwind of the wild animals that would just as soon try and make their next meal out of their group.

He found himself in a tree. He looked back to see the "Door" still there, leading back into the office. Jr probably put it there so that no animals could come through. Yata jumped down from the tree, finding himself in what looked like a forest area. Trees were all around. The sounds of animals came from everywhere.

Yata didn't want to be here any longer than he had to be, so the time to find Alec Kane was now. Yata was a city boy; being in a place like this, he was definitely out of his element. He could see the tracks of several people in the dirt below. Dirt mean a skateboard was useless here. With a grumble, Yata began to follow the tracks....

The journey continued on. They'd crossed a couple of rivers and had to do a little climbing. Something ahead was surrounded by a fence. Jumping over it was a simple task for he and Little Kong. Inside of the fence was a forest area that had clearings in certain places, and a large one in the very center.

Something was going on with animals in the center that would prove quite troublesome were they to get tangled up with them. As Alec began to lead them around the clearing, Kurai suddenly stopped walking and turned to look back. "Kuraikage, someone is following us," he said. "It seems like... they just appeared from nowhere... they're following our tracks on the ground. It doesn't seem like whoever this person is has any sort of tracking skills or sensory techniques. What should we do?"

Kurai was getting excited, as was Little Kong. He wasn't expecting something like this to happen, and it just made it all the more exciting.

Alec had already noticed who this person was, the moment he stepped out of that tree. He saw the Company Pendant hanging around his neck, and figured someone sent him here; Niala, or perhaps Jr. He was leaning towards Jr, just from the way that door looked. But then again, since he didn't recognize the guy, this could also be a clever trap.

"Yeah, I see him... We should surprise the guy and see why he's here. Let's lead him towards one of the clearings ahead, should make for a nice ambush spot."

Alec went low and started moving in a ninja-like fashion towards one of the clearings past the big one in the center, making sure to step heavily so that the guy following them had tracks to follow. Once in the clearing Alec jumped up into the high branches of the trees. He ducked into a squat and began to wait.

Seraphina, blinking as her curiosity peaked, looked back towards Kurai when he said that he could see someone following them. She then glanced over to her brother as he spoke up of seeing whoever it was too. She personally had no special ocular abilities, or anything that allowed her to see behind her back, so she would just take their word on it.

She followed after her brother, noticing that his foot prints seemed deeper than they had been. She was curious to see what this individual wanted, and why they had suddenly appeared the way they had. The four of them were out doing a survival adventure, so why come bother them? She figured she would know the answers to these questions soon enough.

When she saw her brother go up into a tree she figured she would go hide somewhere too. A tree was better than a bush and so she picked a tree nearby and climbed it quickly. She didn't know exactly why but for some reason she was capable of telling which branch was safe to support her weight on and which wasn't, which made climbing up all that easier. Once she was high enough up and hidden in some thick foliage she peered out, curious to see who this individual was...

No sign of no one just yet, but the tracks were becoming easier to follow. He couldn't see anyone ahead though. there was no telling what was lurking around out here and he really didn't want to be around for any longer than he had to be. This was way out of his element. Yata's thing was city streets and playgrounds.

He thought of yelling out, but who knew if a wolf or a bear would respond instead of Alec Kane. All he could do now is keep following the tracks...

He didn't want to be late for his new job bouncing drunks and perverts out of the club. That wouldn't be good, being lat, or not showing up at all. Then again, Demi said she wouldn't mind if it was a job for the Jr dude; a job looking for their father of all people. So if he was late, or didn't show, Yata was sure she'd understand...

Would this be a dangerous foe? Kurai couldn't get a good read on him through Shinsai, not like Alec could with his eyes of chakra. Would it be Alec who would deal with this adversary, or himself? Possibly Seraphina?

These were the thoughts going through his head as he jumped up into the trees, finding a thick branch to sit upon and wait. Little Kong followed him up into the leaves and twigs to wait as well.

Kurai didn't draw any weapons. As far as he could tell, the person had what looked to be a board with wheels connected to the bottom of it. As for what it was used for, Kurai had no idea. He prepared himself for what was to come next...

Waiting in silence. The leaves on the trees were thick, which meant the likelihood of whoever this person was looking up was small. His eyes were on the ground following their tracks too, so Alec figured they were hidden perfectly.

By then, the person would have had to have caught up to where their tracks ended, which meant that the 4 of them were now looking down at him. Who was he? Why did he have a skateboard in a place like this? He was definitely sent here; he wasn't prepared for a long journey through the wild.

Alec sent a glance over to Kurai, motioning for him to surprise the guy. If the fight between them got too serious, he planned on stepping in. Alec knew that Kurai had to be itching for something like this having spent all of that time in Makkura, so now it was time to see what the kid could do.

Seraphina kept herself very still and very silent in the tree she was perched in. Even if the wind happened to blow at random she knew she would remain well covered and hidden from view. She still was wondering what this individual wanted, and saw Alec communicate to Kurai for him to engage him. Seraphina planned on remaining in her tree and out of the way.

Seraphina glanced around while she waited for the confrontation to start, ensuring she was alone in in her tree and no animals or poisonous insects were attempting to creep up on her. Satisfied her tree was still save she turned her gaze downward and to the ground to watch the show...

He was following the tracks, at the same time keeping on the lookout for some animal or insect or something to come jumping out. Creepy forest, creepy animals. Deliver this phone and get the hell out. That's all he wanted to do.

But, then the tracks ended. What now? He looked around and saw no one. What happened? "Did they just vanish into thin air or what?" he said out loud. "What the fuck, man? What do I do now?? Jr dude never said anything about if I couldn't find them!"

Now he was in the dark. Nobody was around. Should he just go back, and say he couldn't find them? it was looking like that was what he'd have to do...

Kurai told Little Kong to stay in the tree. Little Kong frowned and looked towards Kurai with disappointment, but Kurai said he didn't want to double team the guy. All they wanted to do for now was to find out who the guy was and why he was following them, not pummel him to death.

Kurai was out of the tree in a flash. Upon landing, he charged quickly toward him, starting the fight with a move he called "Great Whirlwind." it was a succession of kicks, starting low, at the legs, then the middle, towards the stomach, and high, in the face. Should the face blow connect, he'd be knocked airborne. The rotation of the kicks would also cause Kurai to raise airborne, where he'd send the foe back towards the ground with a heel drop.

Great Whirlwind:

The attack wouldn't be too damaging; should all blows land, at most the foe would be knocked silly.

Alec remained in his squat on the tree branch. Kurai jumped out of his tree and started the fight. He began with a bunch of kicks. Alec had heard much about this kid, and seen much for himself. He and his sister stood up to Alec once, and did a fine job of defending themselves.

Alec wanted to see Kurai driven to the point to where he'd have to call on that Bull's power, but he didn't think it was going to happen here. Then again he didn't know. Maybe this skateboard dude was just playing stupid in an effort to catch up to them. Or, maybe he wasn't really ready to fight a shinobi. What happened in the next few moments would tell the tale.

This guy had to be something special; someone able to do something pretty slick if he was wearing a Company Pendant. Alec waited to see what that was.

Seraphina watched as the guy with the board on wheels came to a stop and looked around, and she figured it was pretty obvious that he was looking for them since their tracks had ended. She then watched as Kurai dropped to the ground without Little Kong and began to attack the guy with the board.

Seraphina in her short time in Makkura had heard a great deal about the ninja that lived in the village, including Kurai, and so she was very curious to see him in action. Would this guy be able to dodge the attacks that Kurai was unleashing on him? Or was the guy about to get his ass kicked? Time would definitely tell. Seraphina leaned forward slightly to get a better look, ensuring that she didn't fall off of the branch or rustle the leaves around her anymore than the wind would naturally. This was sure to be a good show.

Someone jumped out of the tree and attacked!

The Red Aura flared to life almost on it's own whim. He approached and launched a kick towards his legs, jumping over them. A kick to the mid-section came next, that he blocked, but still hurt somewhat, then there was that kick towards the face. Yata threw himself backwards to avoid it, landing on the back of his neck.

The Red Aura:

The guy in black went up in the air. While still on the back of his neck, Yata launched himself up with him while twisting. He pushed fire into his feet while executing a tornado kick upside down. Hopefully this would give him some space, and allow him to plan for another attack. Even if he were to block, Yata would use the impact to push away from whoever this guy was.

For the most part, the attack was unsuccessful. A strange red glow appeared around this person. Kurai had never seen something like this, and was curious as to what it was. While in the air after the last kick, Kurai looked to see the person launch himself up with him, and attempt an upside down kick. Blocking, Kurai could feel something extremely hot. The stranger kicked himself backwards, which would also push Kurai in the opposite direction.

Kurai fell backwards into a backflip, charging a sphere into his right hand. When he would land, Kurai was in a full on dash towards this person, his right arm reared back to swing, the blue chakra leaking from his hand like smoke. Kurai didn't want to drag this out and prepared to end it before it would even start...

Rasengan:

A red glow, huh?... Whatever it was, it made the kid start moving faster. It looked like he became stronger too. He was able to avoid Kurai's attack for the most part, then launch one of his own, upside down at that. Interesting. Yet, Kurai was also able to block, but he looked burned. Was that red stuff fire?

Kurai landed and charged up what he knew to be a ninja technique called Rasengan. Would the mystery kid be able to avoid that too? Kurai looked to be trying to end this farce before it got too serious.

Did Jr find this guy? Alec was left wondering what else he could do, maybe with that skateboard. Maybe he had his own unique fighting style. It was nice to see Jr wasn't just sitting on his ass. The skateboard guy had to have some sort of talent if he could stand up to Kurai, who'd been training his whole life...

The guy with the skateboard seemed to avoid most of Kurai's moves. She watched as he avoided the kick to the face by launching himself backwards onto his neck where he then spun and launched himself into the air after Kurai. The guy was glowing red and she wondered if that had something to with some of the stuff he was pulling off as the pair continued to fight.

She then saw the ball of energy that Kurai had charged in his hand and figured it was likely a nasty attack. She looked then towards the skateboard guy, wondering what he would do to avoid it, or if he could at all. Would this be the end of the fight? Or would it continue to go on? Seraphina could feel her own blood pumping as she watched.

Yata did several flips backwards. He didn't know why he was being attacked, but this was exciting. Who was this dude in black? He couldn't have been Alec, he looked nothing like Jr.

Yata landed around the same time that he did, to look and see the guy charging towards him with something in his right hand. What the hell was that blue thing? With blue smoke coming off of it?... Maybe it was his special move.

So, Yata began to run towards him too. Yata brought back his right hand and pushed a lot of his fire towards it. If he was going to do something big, so was Yata. He didn't exactly know what this was about, but he wasn't going to be pushed around by anyone anymore.

He knew that there'd be some sort of explosive reaction when the two special moves collided, as for the exact details, he'd have to wait and see...
