Survival Adventure Part 5 [Open][NR]

Subject: Survival Adventure Part 5 [Open][NR] Wed Feb 18, 2015 4:32 pm

There was a chill around these mountains. Alec had the Symbiote turn into his old cloak that he wore around the other world, and while usually in Makkura. There seemed to be many paths in and around the mountains that lead in various directions, and even up to the tops of the mountains upon which it looked to always be snowing. Alec didn't have any plans to go up there.

He was still pretty salty behind that last encounter. Alec didn't want involved in anything. He just wanted to walk around out here, with no worries or cares, just for a little while. He didn't want to worry about kidnapping cults, zombies, aliens who got stronger the more they got beat on, ninjas, or tailed beasts.

"So, who wants to leave?"

It seemed like not everyone had the same ideas he had. If they all weren't on the same page, this trip of theirs wasn't going to work, and splitting this party of theirs seemed like the best idea, before they got too far in. It was moreso the old CS Kane that wanted nothing to do with anyone coming out, but in this case, he just wanted away from the troubles of life, if just for a little while.

"You guys wanna go home? I can go off and do the rest of this on my own. I came here to get away from the monsters and the secret techniques and shit. Kouki? Kurai, you want to take her back to Makkura? Settle her in? Seraphina? There's aliens and tailed beasts running around out here. Why don't you go back home, where you'll be safe?"

Seraphina heard her brother ask who wanted to leave and a frown instantly formed on her face. She had been having a rather good time on this survival adventure they were on, minus the few random hiccups in the road - but even the majority of those she hadn't minded. But, now her brother was asking who wanted to leave, talking about how he wanted to do this to get away from all of the drama for a bit and not deal with the monsters and such. Her brother asked Kouki if he wanted to leave, and then asked Kurai if he wanted to escort Kouki home. Then he spoke to Seraphina, explaining how it was dangerous, and asking her why she didn't go home where it was safe.

She didn't want to go home to Makkura, she wanted to be out here exploring this beautiful island with her brother like originally planned. But, she was beginning to feel as if perhaps her brother wanted to be alone. It caused Seraphina to feel slightly upset and angry: things had been going so well and then person after person had shown up and now they were at this point. Why couldn't the world have just left them alone?

"I don't want to leave. I'm having fun, and I like it out here...", she stated softly. She really had no intentions of wanting to leave: she hadn't since they got here. She knew they hadn't explored the entire island yet and had wanted to finish the trip off.

Kouki had had every intention of seeing this trip through to the end but from the sound of Alec's words she was beginning to wonder if he wanted them to leave. She couldn't necessarily blame him if that was the case: a trip that was meant to be peaceful was beginning to turn into anything but. Perhaps it would be best if they went their separate ways, especially if Alec wanted his space. Seraphina said she didn't want to leave and Kouki wondered if Alec would tell her to do so anyway, or allow her to continue to tag along.

"Hm... perhaps I should. My parents are likely wondering where I am. I still have to get their stuff from Neutral City." She had no intentions of allowing her family to return to Neutral with her considering the alien that was roaming around - no, she would move it all herself if needed.

She would then looked towards Kurai. "You don't have to leave just because of me though... I don't want to spoil your and Little Kong's good time." She really didn't want to ruin their good time: if they didn't want to leave then there was no point for them to do so. If anything she would try and hang around the island for a few days or something; at least until they finished their little adventure off.

Kurai suddenly was troubled. Someone had done something wrong. Even Little Kong gave a groan sound of disappointment. "Wha---What...? I-I don't understand..." he said, having looked forward to this for ages. It was his chance to get away from the village for a while, and to have it end so early...?

It also seemed like Kouki was set on splitting from the group. He couldn't in his right mind let her go off on her own. Kurai gave a sigh and the worried look disappeared from his face, replaced by the emotionless one he often wore. Although, it hadn't been on his face during this whole trip; what reason was there to be emotionless when he was having so much fun?

That was over with now. The Kuraikage seemed to want to be on his own now, and Kurai would respect that. "...Fine. With respect I will withdraw, Kuraikage. I will see that Kouki arrives safely in the village, and guard her until you return. Please do be safe, Seraphina and Kuraikage..."

He didn't want to leave yet, but Kurai stopped walking.

Alec gave a sigh. He didn't intend on anyone's feeling getting hurt. Alec figured they would find fun elsewhere with all of the drama going on; drama that he wanted no part of. Alec knew how it was; they were young, eager, hungry. They were at that stage where they were looking for trouble, itching to be in it. Alec was past that. He found that the more people that followed him around, the more drama that seemed to follow with them. He stopped for a second, seeming like he wanted to say something, but then he kept walking.

With the craziness going on, they'd be better off back somewhere where help could arrive quickly. Seraphina would be too, but Alec knew deep down that there wasn't going to be any convincing her to go home. They'd all probably be mad and resentful towards him, and maybe they'd hate him. Alec was used to that; used to being the bad guy, the Villain. He'd live with it just like everything else...

He walked through the chilly paths, wondering if it would be a good idea to try sleeping out here that night, and what there was out this far to eat...

Seraphina looked over towards Kouki as she said that maybe it was a good idea that she left: her family would likely be wondering where she had gotten to. Seraphina couldn't blame her for being worried, especially considering everything that seemed to be going on. But, Seraphina was too stubborn to allow herself to go home. She wanted to be here with her brother, not back at home.

She gave a goodbye wave to them. "You guys be safe, too.", she responded to Kurai before she turned and began to follow after her brother. While she walked she pulled her cloak out of her bag and swung it around her shoulders. She tied it at her neck and pulled up her hood. She walked in silence after her brother, wanting to give him his space even if she was still tagging along.

She looked around, pausing every so often to snatch up some berries that she could spot growing on a few of the bushes as she went. These berries went into her pocket for later when they would stop to rest.

Kouki watched Alec walk away with out a further word. Seraphina told them to be safe too and waved goodbye; Kouki waved back. She then looked over to Kurai and Little Kong, feeling bad that this trip had gone so wrong. She didn't blame Alec so much - he seemed tired of the world, and tired of the drama. Maybe some space was all he needed.

"We can take our time going back if you want, unless you're in a rush to get home?" She wanted to get a chance to appreciate this beautiful island a little bit more before they bailed - she didn't know when she was going to be back again.

Kouki fidgeted with her bag a bit; she didn't want the mood to go sour just because they wouldn't be traveling with Alec anymore. There was no reason why they couldn't at least still try and have a good time. Kouki would wait until she heard Kurai's response and then turned and began back the way they had come...

He didn't understand what he'd done wrong, but there was no use dwelling on it. It was time to go home, then. Time to go back to jogging in endless circles around the village, fighting a strange beast every now and again, and overall being bored, waiting for anything to happen.

"With all do respect, Kouki... I don't think we're wanted here. You understand?... Because we're Jinchuuriki. Trouble follows us around. It's probably because of the two of us that the strange shadow beast showed up in the first place. Let's... let's just go home. We've brought enough trouble on the Kuraikage and his grand daughter's island already..."

Kurai engaged his flight technique, picking up Little Kong before lifting himself into the air...

Alec walked along in silence... So more people were probably going to hate him... it was nothing new. The trip was going to seem less lively now that there weren't as many people to talk to, and honestly he started to seem out of it with the further he walked.

Alec pulled on his hood. A boar crossed his path, and Alec used his hidden blade to stab the animal in the brain. Dragging the dead animal, he continued on until the path they were on started going upwards, and the sprinkle of snowfall could be felt.

Further along, Alec could make out small houses here and there along the paths and on the hills around them. Approaching one of the houses, Alec hung the boar in the shed on the side and made a hole on the animal to drain the blood.The crimson liquid spilled into an appropriately placed hole in the ground beneath the wood of the shed floor.

Seraphina watched as her brother took down a boar by stabbing it and then dragged the animal along the path. She kept pace with him but kept quiet and to herself. She continued to gather berries as they walked and even a few more herbs that would make good teas.

When the snow began to fall she paused and tilted her head back. Her hood fell backwards and several snowflakes fell onto her forehead, cheeks, and nose, causing Seraphina to giggle softly. Not wanting to get too far away from her brother though she hurried after him, noticing that they had come across what to her looked like cabins. Alec went and dragged the boar into the shed of one and Seraphina didn't stick around to watch.

She peeked through the window of the cabin, hands cupped to the glass to make it easier to see in. The place was empty and looked like it wasn't lived in. Perhaps these were some sort of survival cabins? Or perhaps they could be rented by anyone wishing to venture into this cold area. Seraphina tried the door to find it was open and walked inside. There was a wood stove and a pile of wood nearby for it and the place wasn't drafty at all. This seemed like a good spot to settle down in for the night - especially if it was beginning to snow.

"This seems like a good spot to settle in..."

When the blood was drained, Alec cut the boar up. The radar told him that there was a stove inside of the cabin. Alec brought in what he was going to prepare, and started the stove after putting in wood. He took the rest of the boar and disposed of it somewhere in the wilds, taking care that any predators would come looking for more fresh meat...

Alec came back to the cabin and closed the door as the winds began picking up, causing him to squint his eyes from the tiny snow bits. There were a few pots and pans near the wood stove; Alec grabbed a skillet and went out to let some of the snow fall into it. he came back in and put it on the stove, and it melted. Alec lie in a few slices of the fresh boar meat, hearing the sizzle of the meat cooking.

He sat next to the stove, in front of the window. He stared at the floor. The trip out here suddenly didn't seem very fun anymore, and he found himself just wanting to go home, into the arms of Avery. She'd say something into his ear to make everything seem fine again, even though drama would probably follow him forever, until he was dead. it seemed he'd never get a moment of peace.

"...I think I ruined this whole thing. Maybe we should call it quits..."

Seraphina took another of the pots, a smaller one, and went outside to fill it with snow as Alec was filling the skillet. She packed it tight enough so that when the water melted it would leave a decent bit of warm liquid. She placed the pot on a smaller burner of the stove and then reached into her bag where she pulled out some strong smelling herbs - ones she had picked from around the lake.

She laid these herbs on top of the snow, watching for a moment as the pan began to heat up and the snow began to melt. She knew these herbs would make a delicious tea, and looked forward to the hot drink especially after glancing back outside to the snow.

When her brother spoke she looked over to him and a thoughtful look crossed her face. "If you want to really go home I'll come with." She sat down next to her brother and looked back out the window, she wouldn't be upset if their little adventure got cut short so long as her brother was left out here by himself. "But, I think you're being a little too hard on yourself; I've heard of all of the things that you do for people and you do deserve a break from it all."

Alec leaned back, resting his head on the cold window pane behind him. Maybe he was being too hard of himself. He shouldn't have ran Kurai and Kouki off like he did; Kurai had to have been waiting ages for a chance to get away from Makkura for a while. If by chance he did happen to stay on the beach for a while, Alec wouldn't blame him.

"Yeah... Maybe."

He wasn't going to leave just yet. What sense would it make to stop after coming so far? Alec used a fork to turn over the meat. The inside of the cabin was smelling good now; the heat from the skillet adding to the heat from the stove, thoroughly warming the inside of the cabin. Outside, it looked like it was getting worse. Hard winds were blowing, and the snow was picking up.

"Well, looks like even if I did want to leave, now wouldn't be a good idea anyways."

Seraphina dug around in the small collection of pans until she found what she was looking for; two flat lids that would make perfect make-shift plates as well as two metal cups - the sort people usually went camping with. She placed them down and then reached into her pocket, removing the berries she had gathered up. She placed half the berries on one lid and half on the other. "These will work as plates since they don't have handles."

She glanced out the window as her brother spoke of how leaving now probably wouldn't be a good idea: the snow was really coming down now and the wind blowing hard so she nodded. "I agree."

As Seraphina took the pot of boiling water with the herbs in it off of the stove - using her sleeve so she didn't burn herself on the handle - she found herself glad that Alec had found this cabin. She couldn't imagine having to survive out there in that, not without some sort of proper shelter. Seraphina poured half the hot tea-like liquid into one cup and then the other half into the other. She handed Alec a cup after putting the pan back and then picked up her own; breathing in the herby aroma as steam rose up out of the cup. She then took a careful sip of the tea and sighed happily. "That hits the spot, especially with all that snow outside."

When the meat was done, Alec put some on a plate for Seraphina, then some on the other plate for himself. He took a sip of the tea that she made, feeling the warm liquids travel down his throat and warm up his insides.

While beginning to eat as the snowstorm began to rage outside, rattling the windows and the door, his phone vibrated in his pants pocket. He took it out to see an E-mail sent to him from Jr with a file attached.

Alec opened the file attachment to see that it was a video: the fights between Vigilante, Ka'lara and the alien. The first fight was cut between what he managed to catch with the Company's cameras, and Vigilante's camera.

Alec saw what looked to be a little kid with a tail. He had a scarf around his mouth, and looked to be a mean little bastard. Alec began to watch and see this alien kid in action...

"Thank you.", Seraphina said as Alec placed some of the deliciously smelling cooked meat on her plate. She began to eat both the meat and berries in silence as she listened to the snow storm rage outside. The windows were rattling and she knew that if the door hadn't been latched it likely would have blown open by now and coated them in the thick falling snow.

She paused between eating and picked back up her cup, enjoying sipping at more of the warm liquid. She glanced over to see that her brother had his phone out, watching something that looked like a video of some kind of fight.

She put her tea down and picked back up her plate. "What's that?", she asked curiously before starting to eat the rest of her food. She was feeling warm inside thanks to the food and drink and with this spreading warmth came a tired feeling. She was definitely going to sleep good tonight - despite all of the noise that the storm outside was making.

"This is the alien that appeared in Ground Zero, the little kid with the scarf. The guy in black is a kid I hired called The Vigilante, he's a super hero, fights bad guys. The girl is a female we all met in another world. Her name's Natalie, but here in this world she calls herself Ka'lara..."

It looked like they were both having a hard time fighting the kid. He seemed agile and combat hardened just to be a child. Against the ninja Natalie and the machine powered Vigilante, at first he seemed to beat on them both at ease.

Vigilante activated his power up on his new suit and finished the fight though. Alec ate more of the cooked boar meat and some of the berries Seraphina picked, and washed it down with some of the hot tea.

"Seems like this kid's a real tornado."

Her brother said that the kid with the scarf was the alien that the female had mentioned earlier. The guy in black in the video was The Vigilante who fought bad guys - something that made Seraphina smile, and the girl was named Nanalie but she went by Ka'lara now that they were no longer in the ninja world. The fight looked to be brutal, and both The Vigilante and Ka'lara seemed to be having a hard time against such a young kid. But, then The Vigilante did something that caused him to be able to beat the kid and end the fight.

Seraphina just shook her head. "Wow, that's some crazy stuff. A little kid beating on both of them like that? At least they won, though." It sounded a little out there to Seraphina - though she had heard that Destiny had been a little spit-fire when she was younger, whooping all kinds of butt, though no one had given her the details on exactly how she had pulled that off.

Seraphina finished off the last of her boar meat and berries and set her plate off to the side for a moment. She picked up her tea and held it in both hands, enjoying the warmth that the metal cup held in. She finished off the rest of her tea and glanced outside: she was no longer able to see anything as the thick was falling so quickly and heavily.

The next half of the e-mail was the video in Neutral, where the kid nearly tore the city in half, and in Edge, when the kid came back for round two. Alec took the chance to finish eating his food beforehand. It was an alright meal, and he felt like he'd sleep well tonight being so warm when it was crazy cold outside at the moment.

The kid started off kicking Vigilante's ass. It kind of pissed Alec off to see a big hole blown in the street. The alien kid looked far stronger and faster than he was in the GZ video. He watched the combination attack by V and Ka'lara in which V knocked the kid over into old Edge. The fight continued there, and the kid looked to give them more of a hard time. Somehow he could make himself glow red and 'hulk out,' which gave him stupid amounts of power.

It looked like the kid had the fight won after he handed both V and Ka'lara their asses, but then something black appeared on the scene. Both V and Ka'lara were back onto their feet, and the alien kid was sent flying. If Alec had to guess - since he couldn't exactly see who that black thing was - he'd bet that it was his father, Darkman.

"Hunh. I shoulda known he wouldn't stay behind the scenes for long with a little destructive asshole like that running around..."

Seraphina watched the second video with her brother, noticing that there was a whole new level of skill and brutality to this one. It was clear that they were trying to kill each other and Seraphina found herself unable to look away. Then there came a part of the video where it looked like Ka'lara and Vigilante were done for; that the Saiyan was going to kill them. That was when a black thing zoomed in, healed Ka'lara of some nasty looking injuries, beat on the Saiyan some, and got Vigilante back on his feet.

At Alec's words she looked away from the screen and up to him. "Who or what was that black thing that helped them?", she asked curiously. She then looked back to the screen, wondering if there was any more to watch. She also found herself thinking that she didn't blame Ka'lara for coming to find training or some sort of way to improve herself further - that kid was seriously some scary business and he obviously had it out for the pair of them.

"I'm pretty sure that was Darkman, my dad... and yours now too. You'll meet him sooner or later..."

The last part of the video was when the alien kid suddenly took on the form of a giant monkey. Alec had to rewind the video twice to make sure he was seeing this right. This kid could turn into a giant money, that could shoot blasts from it's mouth? It just made Alec grin. This kid was something else. Saiyans, huh? Could all of them do this? Alec thought that if he were Jr, he'd try to hire the kid...

The alien kid tore up a lot of Old Edge in his attempt to kill Vigilante and Ka'lara. The two of them teamed up; Vigilante distracting the kid and Ka'lara creating clones to likely find a weak spot. Ka'lara eventually created a giant blade and cut off the kid's tail. Alec saw that this had to be the source of the kid's power, because he turned back to normal. Ka'lara looked like she wanted to finish him off, but couldn't bring herself to do it. After a short conversation, the kid's space ship - which looked like a ball - appeared, and the kid flew off.

"So we have aliens like this running around... Hmmmh. Jr must be feeling like he wants to give up about now... So what kind of an example would I be setting if I were to bail out..."

Seraphina listened as Alec explained that the black thing was likely Darkman, his father, and hers now too. He said she would meet him soon enough and she wondered when.

She then focused her attention back onto the screen to watch the alien kid transform into a giant monkey. "Whoa...", Seraphina said softly as she kept watching as Vigilante seemed to distract the kid while Ka'lara did something that caused several copies of herself to appear. These copies, or clones, began to attack the giant monkey from all angles. Some of the clones poofed when they were hit while others avoided attack and kept on trying. Not too long afterward Ka'lara manifested a giant blade and cut off the giant monkey's tail; this caused the kid to revert back to his human looking form.

Seraphina found herself unable to look away as Ka'lara approached the kid with a knife drawn; however it seemed the kid's death wasn't to come as Ka'lara dropped the weapon. She apparently couldn't bring herself to kill him.

She then listened to Alec's words as she looked up at him. "If we're going to press on I should probably find a way to make warm clothes... a giant animal or something that can be skinned, just in case it gets even colder than this."

Alec was stuffing his cellphone back into his pocket, when he felt a tremble, even from here. He closed his eyes, but the radar told him that nothing was going on nearby. Widening his scope, the radar covered every inch of the island, until he found himself on the beach.

Chakra Radar:

There was a fight going on, epic from the looks of it. There were several very powerful individuals in attendance, but only 2 of them were fighting. One of them was the Alien he was just looking at on his cellphone. He looked to be in the same advanced state he was in to flatten Vigilante and Ka'lara. He was fighting someone he'd never seen before, but from the looks of him, he was half Demon.

Amaranth and Ka'lara were nearby, but barely. This told Alec that maybe Amaranth was using that 'barely there' technique of hers that she mostly used when in a bad mood. Not far up the beach a way, there was Ghost, standing with Kurai, Little Kong, and Kouki. They hadn't left the island yet, and Alec didn't blame them. He figured Kurai's blood was starting to boil seeing a fight like that not far away, and wondered if Ghost would let him go jump in.

"Looks like there's some entertainment on the beach... Shit is starting to get wild again. That Alien guy is a real handful... Let's hope Jr gets a handle on that kid before too long."

"What was that?", Seraphina asked as she too felt a vibration through the ground. Had a tree fallen over? Or was something else going on entirely? Deciding to put her new vision into effect she closed her eyes and decided to see what she could see. It took several seconds to spot it but then she found the issue; there was some sort of a fight going on on the beach between the alien that had been in the videos that they had watched and someone who she had never seen before.

Nearby this fight was the girl from the video. Another girl wearing a red cape and looking like Little Red Riding Hood gone punk was standing nearby her and had her hand on her shoulder. Both of them were nearly invisible. Where they ghosts? "Whose that guy he's fighting though?", she asked, figuring if anyone knew her brother would. "And whose that girl with the red cape? Are her and Ka'lara dead now? Ghosts or something?"

She kept her eyes closed while waiting for her brother's response; keeping an 'eye' on the fight to see what would happen. So far it looked like the alien kid was winning.

"No idea who that guy is... The little girl is Amaranth, my grand daughter. She owns this whole island, she's in charge here. She's the daughter of my daughter and your niece Destiny, and my son-in-law Ghost, who, is a Ghost. He's up the beach some, with the red cape and the black hair, near Kurai and Kouki. Amaranth can do a lot of the things he can, and turning invisible is one of them--"

Then that was it. The alien punched the other guy hundreds of times. After a kick, the other guy went flying out into the river. After the alien went to lift him, Alec was sure he was done for, but he threw the guy back over near Amaranth and Ka'lara. He said the guy was welcome for a rematch, as was Vigilante and Ka'lara. He said Vigilante was his target, but so was Ka'lara if she got in his way again. Then he flew away...

So now Alec had seen this alien kid with his own eyes... though he'd never know it. Everyone down there would have their hands full, and Alec continued to wonder if Jr was going to try to hire this guy in. He opened his eyes and drank down the rest of his tea, then got up to move over to one of the beds. Lying on it, he tossed over his blanket onto the bed opposite for Seraphina, since his symbiote costume was enough to keep him warm.

"Nice to see that there's activity down there, and everyone isn't sitting around bored. How will it all end up is what i'm wondering..."
