New Life, New Adventures [Open][NR]

Seraphina's time so far in the village of Makkuragakure had been filled with laughter and smiles. Artemis had taken a liking to her immediately and found it quite funny that she was ticklish - something that the young girl took advantage of with random 'tickle attacks'. Of course, Seraphina tickled her back just the same until the pair were a ball of giggles and very red in the face.

She had also done a good bit of exploring as well and had even found a few secret rooms and passage ways within the Tower: everyone was friendly towards her and she had absolutely no complaints. It was like everyone just automatically considered her family, no questions asked. However, she kept the majority of her exploring urge at bay for now, as she waited for Alec to return so that they could go on this survival adventure that he had mentioned before - she was looking forward to living off of the land, it was just something that felt right and natural to her.

Serpahina had also explored a bit with some of the abilities she had. She wanted to know what she was capable of even though she never intended to use the majority of what she had. Flying was a blast, and something she was an absolute natural at. She had been afraid that the heights would scare her at first, but as soon as she had gotten up there she loved every minute of it - having even taken to zooming around the village at random, sometimes with little Artemis chasing after her while giggling up a storm, and the pair leaving a trail of feathers behind that sometimes made it look like it was snowing in Makkura.

At the moment though she wasn't zooming around the village. Instead, Seraphina was perched on top of the tower, with her legs dangling off of the side and the halo above her head glowing and making her look like some sort of tower beacon. Her shoulder length white hair blew in the breeze, sometimes covering up her silver colored gaze and causing her to lift her right hand and push the strands away every so often. Her top resembled a dress; it kept the majority of her cleavage covered and clung slightly to the top half of her, but as it got to the waist it decoratively flowed out until halfway down her thighs. This decorative top was white in color but had an added piece over top of it that was nothing more than a set of black sleeves that went down almost over her hands and which were connected via the back. With this she wore black leggings, and - after seeing how comfortable they seemed to be - a pair of black shinobi sandals that were actually great for exploring, hiking, and pretty much everything else she had done.

Her silvery gaze was settled on the entrance to the village in the distance as she awaited the return of her brother with excitement. She whistled a tune while waiting, kicking her legs back and fourth as she swayed from side to side.

Kane walked back into Makkura with a grim look. he heard the familiar greeting from Kinzoku and gave a wave up towards the wall where he always seemed to be perched. Villagers and Dark Ops gave the same greetings like they always did.

He was left wondering why things always, always, ALWAYS turned out like this whenever it came to Maxi or one of his people. When things were calm and cool, they were nowhere to be found. When things got hectic and Alec stepped in to make things better for the people he left behind, someone always showed up in the end with some convenient excuse, crying, acting emo, expecting Alec to just understand.

He walked down the main street, waving to others as he went.

Kurai and Little Kong seemed to just appear from nowhere. They dropped down and landed on either side of Alec as he was walking and waving. As usual, Kurai's face was buried within a manga. Little Kong was in the process of devouring a banana.

"Kuraikage," Kurai said, not even bothering to look up from his book, since he really didn't have to. "...You look troubled. I wanted to ask you something, but is this a bad time? I can ask again sometime later."

Yet he really wanted to ask now, because he felt like he wouldn't get another chance, not for a long while. Whenever Alec left, there was no telling when he would return. Kurai waited to see what he would say in response...

As Seraphina kept watch towards the entrance of the village she spotted movement and a familiar face that even from where she was seated she could still clearly see. A grin instantly popped up on her face and instead of exiting the tower by what would likely have been called the usual method she simply gave herself a shove right off the side of the tower. She fell for several feet, gathering speed, until her wings burst forth from her back and caused her to be caught by the wind.

With her wings spread she glided directly towards her brother, noticing Kurai and Little Kong not to far away as well. She was used to moving rather fast by now, and landed in time to hear Kurai stating that he wanted to ask Alec something, but that he would wait if it was a bad time. It was then, now that she was a few feet from her brother, that she noticed how he looked troubled. Her head cocked to the side and her brow furrowed; though the happiness that shined through her eyes couldn't be stunted.

"....", she didn't know what to say to her brother to make him laugh or smile, and hoped that whatever was wrong could be quickly solved. Perhaps he simply needed a brief vacation away from the world - this survival adventure would certainly provide it. "Are you alright?", Seraphina settled on asking, looking concerned.

His grim look remained until Kurai and Little Kong, in the usual fashion they did, appeared from thin air and landed walking on either sides of him. Kurai said Alec looked troubled, and that he wanted to ask him something, but he'd ask later on if this was a bad time. Soon after this is when Seraphina came flying up. it looked like she was adjusting to her new Angelic blood perfectly. Seeing her just made the feelings amplify. Was it all worth it? Was more drama going to follow behind taking her and turning her into a Kane?

He'd almost become depressed, but shook it off suddenly. It WAS worth it. Seraphina and Sicarius would still be over there in that snow alone had he not made his move; Alec was sure of that deep down. Nova was just another Maxi in his eyes. He only acted like that because action had been taken. He wasn't listening or falling for any of the convenient excuses this time. The grim look disappeared from his face and he looked as he normally did, shaking his head.

"No, i'm fine, Sera. Don't worry about it. I'm just hungry, that's all. When I get some food in me we can head out... Its not a bad time Kurai, what's on your mind?"

Alec stopped at one of the restaurants on the main street and ordered a bowl of noodles. Activity suddenly picked up inside since it was him, and Alec had to reassure them that all the hard work wasn't really necessary just because it was the Kuraikage that wanted something to eat. Nevertheless, a steaming hot bowl was out on the table in front of him in less than a minute.

It looked like something truly was bothering Alec, but Kurai wasn't going to press him for answers. He didn't feel like it was his place. Little Kong looked up at Alec and knew something was up too, and only had a puzzled expression on his furry face. Kurai turned a page of his Manga and continued walking with the Kuraikage, feeling the breeze of his sister Seraphina's arrival. She asked what was up with him as well, but he seemed to shake off what was bothering him and say that he was just hungry. Kurai was going to leave it there.

"Well, I heard you say something about a survival adventure, and it's been quite a while since i've been here in your world, but i've never been too far outside of the village... I was wondering if you would mind if I came along as well? Little Kong and I can take care of ourselves, and we won't be a burden to you. You won't have to go out of your way or anything like that for us..."

He was positive that Alec was going to say no. Little Kong was too, since he was lying on his back at their feet with his face covered. If he said no, then it would be back to training, and running aimlessly around the perimeter of Makkura, like usual...

Seraphina stared hard at her brother for a moment, focusing on her general senses. He had looked like something was troubling him, but then that look had cleared up and he seemed genuinly happier. Shrugging it off she smiled, a bounce in her step as she followed after her brother. "You should eat then, 'cause you look a bit grumpy when you don't.", she said jokingly with a soft giggle. She was in too good of a mood for anything to ruin it.

She looked over to Kurai curiously, wondering what he had to ask, too. When he spoke of wanting to come with them on their little adventure she looked to her brother, wondering what he would say. She didn't mind of course, the more the merrier in her opinion: she was just excited to be going. "I think that's a cool idea.", she said in response to Kurai and Little Kong wanting to come along with them before looking thoughtful.

"I wonder what I should bring... nothing too heavy of course...", she said more to herself. She began to form a mental list, wondering what sort of temperature differences they were going to face. If they were going somewhere snowy she was going to have to bring something warm - or kill and skin an animal, something she was prepared to do. This was a survival trip after all...

Alec began to eat. The chef, a member of a proud family, waited to see Alec's reaction. He appeared pleased, so the chef relaxed. Again Alec asked them to calm down; they didn't have to worry, and he didn't have to be so serious towards his wife and 2 daughters just because it was him. The noodles were delicious, and Alec, after stuffing some money into the chef's pockets, tossed a thumbs-up toward the females inside. All of their faces turned beet red and they ran off into the back of the restaurant making squealing noises.

"Yeah sure, Kurai, if you two wanna come with us, no problem. It's about time you got out of the village for a while anyway."

Alec wasn't going to bring anything but what he had on him. It was going to be a true survival experience. This would be the last normal food he'd eat; everything from here on would be hunted or taken from the wild. Alec reached behind him into his back for his folding bow, attaching the device to his arms for a quick draw.

"Well alright, I figured as much. No hard feelings, Kuraikage, perhaps it's not my time to leave the village just ye---Oh? We can go?" Kurai said, taking a surprised look, something that was unlike him. He was sure that Alec would say no, that it was too dangerous, that the outside world would eat him alive. Instead Alec said yes. Little Kong looked excited as well. "Then give me a second, i'll go grab some things."

He and Little Kong were off in a flash. Back at his house, he threw a bunch of random things into a bag that he probably wasn't even going to use in his excitement. It was mostly to write his twin a note, and leave in the door of her house next door, letting her know where he was going and what he'd be doing.

It hadn't even been 5 minutes before he and Little Kong were back at the cafe with Alec and Seraphina, ready to go.

Seraphina listened as Alec said that Kurai could come with as well as Little Kong and grinned: this was certainly going to be a fun adventure. Figuring that she should go pack some stuff now instead of waiting until Alec finished she left while he was in the middle of eating - not knowing exactly how long it would take him to finish what looked and smelled like a delicious bowl of ramen.

She ran to the tower - taking advantage of her natural speed, across the drawbridge and inside. She ran up to her bedroom and over to her closet where she had some supplies stored already in preparation for this little adventure. She grabbed her metal canteen which would be good for carrying water since it had a strap as well as double as an instrument to boil water in if it needed cleaned, and hung it from around her shoulder - having it cross her chest so there was no chance of it falling off. She added a red thick ribbon of sorts around her waist that had a long tail that even after tied hung down to her knees - from this she hung the Stick Sword that Junior had given her. She grabbed up a bag and stuffed it with a few tiny supplies, not wanting to bring too much with her since the whole point of this was living off the land. As a last minute thought since she didn't know what kind of temperature they would be dealing with she grabbed a cloak that would go down to her knees - it would be warm and wouldn't keep her from being able to move.

She was back over to Alec before Kurai arrived, and was back to bouncing in place in her excitement and a huge grin spread across her face.

Alec finished the bowl and paid for the food. The chef said he didn't have to, but Alec insisted that he take it anyway. He shook hands with the chef as he got up, and the chef took the dishes inside. Both Seraphina and Kurai both ran back to gather some things while he ate, and by the time he was done they were all back, ready to go.

Alec motioned for them to follow him as he officially got this new adventure underway. This time is was a ninja and his new sister at his side instead of a super hero and his grand daughter, and things wouldn't be as serious as trying to survive in a land of zombies.

"We're gonna start flying once we're out of the village Kurai, you ready?"

As they walked, Alec asked Kinzoku to inform Avery and Artemis that he'd be on Sunset Island. As they walked through the gates his Spiritual Angelic Wings came to life, illuminating the darkness. He lifted himself into the air and began to speed away...

Kurai and Little Kong began to follow along with Alec. His heart pounded in his chest with excitement because of the first time venturing out of Makkura into a new world. Little Kong scrambled up Kurai's back and took hold for when they'd start to fly. Kurai put his flight technique into play and levitated himself above the ground, leaving behind a small dust cloud.

Flight Technique:

When kane took off, Kurai sped upwards and after him...

Seraphina, still grinning in excitement, followed her brother, Kurai, and Little Kong out of the village. Even as she walked the bounce in her step was clear. When they were clear of the village she found herself wondering if Kurai actually knew how to fly, but considering that Alec didn't seem to be worried about him keeping up she figured he could so she pushed it from her mind. She caused her own wings to form and spread them, launching herself into the air after them.

Off to Sunset Isle they headed, off to start a new adventure that was definitely going to be fun, and perhaps a bit challenging. Seraphina wondered as they neared what all challenges they were going to end up facing...
