Score, he agreed! That was going to save her a lot in the headache department of trying to find someone else. She didn't have to worry about the kid not being able to defend himself considering what he'd already done, so that took a lot of weight off her shoulders. She then listened to his question about whether Junior would get angry about him helping out and she shook her head no. "Nah, I can't think of a reason why my brother would mind. And like I said, if you can't help out one day because he's got you doing something for him it's all cool, I'm willing to work around his schedule."

She jerked her head towards Zero Sum. "If you've got a minute why don't we head inside to my office? I got a few papers I need you to fill out, just basic stuff. Nothing that'll be too long and boring, I promise. Plus, I'll give you a tour, explain the rules and all of that.... Zero Sum works a little differently than most nightclubs that seem to pop up." She would wait to see if he would follow her as well as wait to hear what his name was, and if he said he had time then she would turn and lead the way back to the door. The bouncers who had been listening through her ear piece would step aside as she approached to let them through, giving them both a nod.

Demi would then gesture towards the main area of the club. "This is the main area of the club; where everyone who gets through that door is allowed to be. Bars over there.." she pointed ".. and the bathrooms as well as the security offices are back there.." she would then point off slightly to the side to indicate the hallway. ".. Locker rooms are also down there too for the employee's. The club's guests are not allowed in there, ever, so if you see someone sneaking around you're free to introduce them to the door."

She then led the way towards the small stairway that went between the waterfalls with the lights that changed colors. "This up here is the VIP section of the club. The only people allowed up here are Company members, anyone within the Kane family - and trust me you'll know who we are because all of us pretty much look the same - and the more important people in Edge which include a few of the little mob bosses running around and richer people in the city who've paid for the right. This section has its own bar with better booze, better restrooms that include sitting rooms in them. This is also where my office is located. " She pointed towards the door in the back with the purple tinted glass: it was one of those special doors that with a flip of the switch would cause the door to either become frosted so it couldn't be seen through or clear so it could, it also was bullet proof. "To get into this section you either have to have a Company pendant, look like me or my brother, or you have to have one of these cards..." She pulled from her pocket a stack of VIP cards that were black in color, made out of plastic, and that had Zero Sum written in it in gold and handed him one to check out. When the card was moved it would show a holographic background that would show writing that would say VIP over and over again in tiny little writing.

"Now, before we get to the paper work let me explain a few of the rules. I let anyone whose old enough and mature enough work for me - my best bartender, Ka'lara, started here when she was 16 and has been here for about 7 years now. For those who have access to the VIP section I don't really care about that whole age limit on drinking as long as they're not children, all I do expect is people to be responsible, those who aren't get booted and cut off. We never really have to worry about the police showing up, they leave me alone unless we call them because of who I am. But, we still expect people to follow the law in here. No drug pushing is allowed to go on unless I give the person direct permission, no prostitution either. You see it going down you stop it."

She then led the way to the office, holding the door open for him to enter after her. She went over to her desk which was purple in color and opened up one of the side drawers. She pulled out two sheets of paper - one was a paper that would require basic information such as name and phone number and address, while the other was an insurance paper that stated that Zero Sum would cover any costs of any on the job injuries. She laid down a purple pen for him to write with and gestured towards one of the seats on the other side of her desk as she sat down. "I'll need you to fill out those two papers, please. I know I threw a lot of info at you, but do you have any questions? Anything at all?"

Demi said Jr wouldn't mind if he worked here too. She said if Jr had him doing something, she wouldn't mind if he had to take a day off. Demi then asked if he could come in with her to sign some papers, explain the rules, and go on a tour. If he worked here, Yata planned on staying outside all the time; the club thing wasn't really him - even though he knew how to dance.

He stomped the back of his board, flipping it into the air for him to grab it, then started following her. He'd never been inside a club himself, he'd only seen them in movies and on TV. it looked like he though a club would look, except this place was something else. Many half dressed drunken chicks noticed him walking with the owner, and he did his best not to stare too long. Demi described the main areas, the bar, the locker room for employees.

She took him upstairs to the VIP room, saying only Company members, top Edge heads and people in the Kane family were allowed up there. How many Kane were there, exactly?... Yata was curious who the mother and father was. Her office was up here too, with the special windows in movies that could fog up and prevent anyone from looking inside. She showed him special cards that people had to have to get up here, if you weren't a Kane, or had a Company pendant.

In her office, Demi explained that she didn't care how old folk were; a girl named Ka'lara was 16 when she started. Age wasn't a big thing in this club, as long as they were flat out elementary school kids. There was no police presence, simply because she was sister of the guy who ran the whole city. Still, there was no drugs and no pimping. If he were to see any of it, or someone over-doing it on the drink, they were out.

He picked up a pen and quickly filled them out. "Uh, as far as address and phone number go, I live in the tower behind here..." he said, pulling out his Company cellphone. "I also got one of these, so you can contact me directly..." he filled the paperwork out and pushed them and the pen across the desk. "...Uh, my only question is that you just let me stay outside and work the door... I-i'm not real big on crowds of people. If-If I have to come in here to deal with somebody I will, but... I-id rather just stay outside..."

Demi listened as he explained his only request: he wanted to work outside instead of having to deal with the crowd inside. Demi personally had no issue with this at all. "That's fine. You can work the door. That'll work out pretty well actually."

She then picked up the papers after he was finished filling them out and looked them over to ensure everything was in order. She had figured he lived in the tower so that was no big deal, and she would be able to get a hold of him since he too had a Company cellphone which would also work out nicely. "Alright, everything seems to be in order. Now, I don't really expect my bouncers to wear a uniform though the majority of them seem to like wearing suits or purple articles of clothing. However, I do have them all wearing name tags. Do you have any nickname or anything you wish to be called?" She put the paperwork off to the side in one of the baskets on the top of her desk to be filed away later on after she entered the information into the computer.

She dug into her desk and pulled out several things: one was a blank black name tag that was in the shape of a rectangle, the other was a tiny machine used to print names on the name tags, and the other was an ear piece. She would listen to see what name he wanted to be known by and then would arrange the letters before slipping the name tag into the plate area and pressing the button. Gold lettering with the name he wanted to be known as would be on the plate. "That's for you, and this ear piece as well. The ear piece works as far as the end of the parking lot and all through Zero Sum, and all of my bouncers and upper staff are connected so we know if something goes down."

Demi leaned back in her chair comfortable, putting her fingertips together as her elbows rested on the arms of her chair. "Now, you can either start working tonight if you want, or you can start tomorrow. The choice is completely up to you. And unless you have anymore questions we're all set here..."

"...Just call me Yata... I don't really like my first name, my whore mom had a sense of humor or something when she had me, but, yeah... just call me Yata..."

She didn't mind him staying outside. He didn't want to wear a uniform, but he would have to wear a name tag. That was cool; he could put it on his sleeve or something. She next gave him an ear piece, and he put it into his right ear, being able to hear the bouncers downstairs talking.

When she was done with the name tag he picked it up and put it on his right sleeve. She said he was free to start tonight or tomorrow. It wasn't really like he had anything better to do besides watch movies and cram food into his face in the tower, so he decided to start then and there.

"Sure i'll... i'll start now," he said, backing towards the door. He planned on trying to do a good job; he didn't want to piss off another one of these Kanes. "I'll be out front... boss... If I have any questions or anything i'll text or call you..."

Then he was out of the office, down the stairs, through the crowd of people and back outside, where he was greeted by the regular bouncers. They began to accept him as one of their own, and showed him the ropes of how to let people in, and how to get rid of the assholes. They complimented him on his fighting style and said they looked forward to when the next asshole came along and needed his butt kicked.

She watched him take the name tag and the ear piece. "Welcome aboard, Yata.", she said with a nod after hearing that he would start now. She watched him leave the office and waited until the door closed before she would go ahead and put the name tag machine away.

Once that drawer was shut she went and picked up the two pieces of paper she had had him fill out. She got up from her desk and walked over to the scanner, making copies of both. Once the copies were made she added one copy to the file cabinet across her office and then returned to her desk. She then booted up her laptop and quickly added the information he had given on the pieces of paper. Once that was done and it was saved she put the original documents in the locked top cabinet of her desk where they would remain safe.

She then leaned back on her chair, putting the tips of her fingers again together as she rested her elbows on the arm rest. She then focused on the other issues at hand: what she was going to do about the waitress that was killed, as well as what she was going to do to show her appreciation towards Ka'lara for all of her hard work...
