| "Zombies, zombies, everywhere, but what's the world to do?", she whispered in a sing song voice. Said voice was then followed by the sound of metal being rubbed against something repeatedly. Michonne had found a comfortable spot in the underground labratory, the same place she herself had become...well, those who knew knew those who didn't didn't need to. It was better than being out in the open where it was pouring down rain as she could clearly see on the security monitors, and amongst all of those undead fiends she could see wandering aimlessly about: not that they would bother her, but that was besides the fact. She wasn't worried about them of course, as right now she was finishing up a newly finished sword she had just made - a replica of the one she already had - and was sharpening it.
Now that her whispering was gone she started to whistle while continuing to sharpen the finished product. Every so often she would throw a red colored glance up at the monitors that continued to work via the generators that kept the place running even though the majority of the power was out in the city. She could see some of the undead moving towards something, and while she couldn't hear anything unless she turned the volume up, she figured it was some sort of sound that had distracted them from their aimlessness. She was always waiting to see someone appear; something that happened to get close enough to the Underground Lab, someone being chased by a horde of zombies... or someone she knew.
She paused and looked down at the finely crafted weapon in her hand, balancing it at the hilt on the pointer finger of her right hand; it balanced perfectly. "Hmm... wonderful."

| It wasnt hard to find his way back to the lab. The signs were clear -- especially if one knew where to look. It was a code, hidden in plain vew. A small symbol here, an arrow pointed there. But of course, the endless ranks of the undead did not help at all. They were, well, endless. It wasnt like he couldnt take care of himself, a few zombies were easy enough to handle. He learned by watching others. Avoid the mouth; avoid being scratched. Aim for the head, and it will die in one blow.
But when it was more than a few, like now? It was more of a problem. He had to constantly watch his back to make sure nothing walked -- er, shuffled up behind him. But that wouldnt be a problem right now; his back was against a wall. But the problem was the dozen or so walkers between him andd where he needed to be. If he snuck up on them, he'd be able to take a few down before the rest noticed. Or so, he would have done had the door behind him not slammed shut. Like a fart let loose in a silent church, the sound boomed throughout the expanse. All heads instantly swiveled in his direction; mouths hanging open as bodies turned and lurched in his direction. Arms were lifted, fingers flexing in expectation of a meal.
"Not today, my friends." A stance was taken up, fingers curled into fists as the male focused his mind and body for the coming exchance. As soon as thge first body was within his range, the male dipped down, twisting his body and bringing a leg to bear, sweeping the creature off its feet. But this would not be all, no. As he rose, a limb was extended, reaching out and grabbing the creature's leg. With a hard tug and twirl, the corpse was smashed face first into the wall behind him. destroying the brain. Green eyes turned to face the rest of the horde, whom were still advancing towards the male, craving the taste of flesh. Poor creatures. For a moment, Drake wondered if they remembered anything of thier former lives. The though was quickly dismissed as nother hand reached for him. stepping backwards, Drake would swing the body he still clutched into the horde, bowling over several to clear a path for him...

| UUUUUUHHHHHHHH!!!!
A chorus of low moans. Hands. Grabby hands. Many fingers and hands covered in blood, reaching, grabbing, accompanied by the sounds of snapping teeth; teeth with the ragged red flesh of the last unfortunate survivor still fresh within their jaws.
They were all the former residents of this doomed city, civilians dressed in everyday normal clothing. Some were police officers. Some were buss drivers. Mailmen. Meter maids. Everyday, ordinary people.
Now they were undead. Their flesh pale and rotten, the stench of death heavy upon them. Some were missing arms, but reached with nubs anyway. Some had legs missing, and slithered along the floor, pulling themselves toward the male who was still alive, with the intent of devouring him.
Even as the male skilfully dispatched them, others would fill in the blanks. Reaching for him. A path was cleared for Drake to run through after he'd thrown the body into the crowd, yet others were closing in, wanting to make a meal of the male.

| Michonne had been in the process of putting the sword into its new sheath when strange movements caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. She turned her red colored gaze onto the monitors; both brows going up as she realized what she was seeing. A horde of zombies had arrived, all with the apparent intent in mind to turn the male who was fighting against them into food. She had been about to just go back to what she was doing when she realized that the male looked familiar.
Muttering profanities under her breath she put the new sword away. After checking that both her bow and arrows, as well as her other sword, were secured on her she headed to the elevators at a dead run. Once inside one of them she slammed her finger into the Door Close button and then pressed the button with a star on it; the button that would take her to the very top of the building.
Thankfully, the elevator was rather fast, meaning that within about ten seconds she was on the roof and running out of it. Thankfully, the roof was empty of the undead since no one ever really bothered to come up and zombies couldn't operate elevators; that, and the stair doorway was always locked. She ran to the side of the building as she removed her bow from her back and then an arrow from the quiver. With the bow loaded she fired; aiming an arrow right into the eye socket of the one of the zombies closest to Drake. She didn't waste any time in grabbing another arrow and loading the bow...

| This was why he hated open spaces. These zombies were like roaches; for every one you saw, there was ten more hiding in the eaves. But at least roaches ran away when they noticed you were there. No, these motherfuckers tried to run up on you, strip you naked and pour hot sauce on your ass before eating you. Drake was pretty sure he wasnt in the mood for a hot sauce bath, and something had to be done.
Another hand reached for him; a flash of metal glinted in the air as something caught his eye -- a badge? The clothing he wore was was ripped to shit, and there was bite marks all over his chest, but it was clear-- the guy was a cop. "Hey officer, you gonna help me? These people wanna eat me, and homie don't play that." No response, unless you counted the constant moaning as a response. Resigning himself to continue beating ass until he could find a place to hide, Drake shifted into a stance, preparing to launch himself forward--
FFFFT!
What the hell? The corpse spun around and fell backward -- something skittered across the ground. Drake instinctively picked it up, noticing the arrow sticking out the corpse's eye socket -- was that an arrow? Who the fuck was out here shooting off a bow and arrow in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? They couldn't be at ground level, otherwise, they'd be fighting of the zombies the same as him. No, they had to be higher, and if they were firing arrow, they had to be alive. He didn't have the time to think, the horde was shuffling closer; he had to move. There was a bus nearby, roughly fifty feet away. If he could make it there, he could probably climb it, and get a view of his surroundings.
Kicking the coprse of the police officer in the direction of the bus, the male took off after it. The flying body would hit the horde and bowl over several in a domino effect. As biters would struggle to right themselves, Drake would sail past-- he was an elf after all. His step was light, able to move faster than most humans. But there was still roughly thirty feet to go.
Looking down at the item in his hands, he almost shouted in joy. - a Glock 17. He didn't even even bother to check if it was loaded-- there was fine difference between a loaded gun and an empty, and this one definitly had at least five rounds in it. More than enough.
Bam! BAM!
The crack recoil felt good, like a warm sensation flowing through his body. Two shots, two 'kills'. As the first corpse crumpled, the elf used it as a stepping stone to launch himself into the air towards the second. Grasping hands reached for him as he moved; closing on air as the elf dashed past. Drake might have been fast, but the numbers game would catch up with him sooner or later...

| One felled by an arrow to the eye. 5 took it's place.
Many walkers fell when Drake threw the police officer. Like an undead choir the moans filled the air as they all fell into a bloody pile of undead. Drake sailed past, past the many hands, reaching for him, past the constantly moving ocean of hands to grab him, mouthes to bite him. The distratcions and the diversions were working for now but eventually, inevitably, he would be grabbed and eaten...
Bam! BAM!
Walkers were attracted by noise. Many who weren't even bothering to pay attention were now, and turned, heading in the direction the shots came from. In the direction of the living, with the intention of adding him into their endless ranks...

| Michonne watched as her arrow hit, going straight through the zombies eye-socket; effectively giving it a taste of true death. However, for the one zombie she was able to take out it seemed that five more had taken its place. Obviously, her sniping them out of the way wasn't going to work all that effectively, especially as she witnessed the individual begin to move and pull out a gun. She had nine arrows left in her quiver; not nearly enough to help against a horde of this size, and she had a feeling it was only going to grow larger.
Before she could shout out a warning - not that she was sure he would hear her or not over the sound of the moaning below - he fired into the crowd. Just as she had thought, it drew the attention of more of the undead to him. Those who hadn't noticed or started to pay attention yet suddenly began to; causing the horde to grow in size. With a groan Michonne turned her head and began to look around on the roof, hoping she could find something that would work that would make an effective amount of noise to draw the attention off of the guy.
She found a few metal barrels that were empty; they had likely held some sort of chemical at some point but now were empty and rusted out. She dragged one over to the edge of the roof and up onto the edge. After a look down to make sure the guy hadn't somehow ended up below her she pushed the metal container over the edge where it whistled as it fell. The impact with the ground made a loud sound; a bang a lot louder than the gunshot itself. However, instead of watching to see what happened she went over to the second of the three metal containers and dragged it too over to the edge of the roof. After another glance down she dropped it too; hoping that the pair of them were enough noise to distract the zombies away from the guy so he could effectively escape. The second barrel whistled as well as it fell and impacted with an equally loud bang.
"Come on... don't get yourself eaten." She didn't know exactly why she wanted this guy to live; she had seen many eaten before her very eyes, and a lot more than that on the cameras as they had tried to make their way into the mostly untouched building. Yet, perhaps it was because the guy seemed so familiar, but she didn't want him to die, or turn into one of those mindless, rotting, stench filled corpses down below.

| Fuck. This shit was going downhill, really fast. These thing had to operate off of sound-- something made obvious by the extra heads turning to face him after the gunshots.
"Fuck." He wasn't that far from the bus. If he could make it to the side of it, he knew he could easily scale the damn thing and take a breather. But this horde, this fucking horde was getting thicker and thicker. Dead or not, these bodies still had weight to them, and he knew he could easily be overwhelmed in a moment's notice. He had to make it. Just as he was about to grab another corpse to throw when something rang out --- something exceedingly loud, enough to draw the attention of all the walkers, including the ones who were just reaching for Drake.
For a single precious moment, all of the attention was off of the elf-- and he didn't waste it. The nearest corpse was grabbed and swung in a large cirle, knocking over the walkers in his immediate vicinity before flinging the one he held towards the bus again. Once more, the crowd went down in a domino fashion and the elf flashed over them a splic second later. Boots slide over blood and stepped through interal organs as the male moved. With the blood pounding in his ears, he didnt even register the second impact nearby as he himself hit the side of the bus and scrambled up it.
Pulling himself safely into the center of it, the male stood up. and looked about. Several of the walkers were staring up at him, clambering at the bus on which he stood. They'd never reach him, but it was unnerving. The majority were moving on-- possibly to where the that sound had come from. Speaking thing coming from places...
Green eyes looked up, peering at the rooftops. There had to be someone up there. Someone had to have shot that arrow down to kill that walker. He wondered whom it might have been. Given how close he was to the lab, it made him wonder-- was it John? Had he survived somehow?

| The crowd had began to close in upon the male, reaching for him with many hands--
Another loud noise. it was unknown why, but they were attracted to it, like flies to shit. Another loud noise that was even louder than the thing the male held in his hands. The majority of the crowd focused their attention on it, turned, and began moving it it's direction.
But there were still several who were determined to make a meal of the male, and kept their endless pursuit of him ever present. Yet all they'd managed to do is harmlessly touch the bottoms of his shoes as he scrambled atop the bus.
The crowd filled up the space beneath the bus; their many arms reaching up toward him in a fruitless attempt at grabbing and pulling him down into the mass of many mouthes that would pick him apart if they could. The weight of them began to move the bus, rocking it back and fourth somewhat. He had escaped their grasp...
...For now. | |

| Michonne leaned forward, looking down over the edge of the building she was on, to see that her distraction had mostly worked: the horde was moving towards where she had dropped the two large metal barrels while only a few were still attempting to get at the male who had made it on top of a bus. Michonne started to look around; the guy's best bet was to make it inside of the building she was on top of and into the underground lab, but he wasn't going to be able to make it to the entrance with the horde so close and dropping the third and last barrel likely wasn't going to accomplish anything. She knew she had to lead them away from the building.
So, after a quick look around, and a choice of the building next to her since they were close enough to jump between, she backed away from the ledge and took off running. When she reached the ledge she launched herself into the air, enhanced conditioning ensuring that she went higher than an average person would. As her feet hit the target building her body moved forward, causing her to front roll. She kept up the momentum until she was on her feet and then took off running again without missing a beat.
Another launch of herself into the air and she was on a third building; close enough to the nearby fire station to be effective. While one arrow was useless against a crowd it would come in handy now to draw them away. She knew the fire station was low on power, so her idea likely wouldn't work long, but it was worth a shot. She moved to the corner of the building and pulled her bow from her back as well as an arrow from her quiver. She took aim at the firenstation that was another for buildings down and diagonal from her. It wasn't the building itself she was aiming at but the bell in front.
She pulled back, creating as much tension on her bow as she could, and then released the arrow. The arrow flew in an arc, going lower and lower, until with a PING, it hit the bell. For several seconds that seemed more like minutes Michonne thought that her plan hadn't worked, but slowly a whining, dying sound, of the fire stations whistle began to go off and pierce the air with it's very mournful sound. It wouldn't last long, probably only about a minute or so, but she hoped it would be loud enough and distracting enough to draw the horde away.
Not wanting to wait to find out she began to repeat the same process back towards the building she was on - launching herself into the air, rolling into a landing, and taking off again...

| Crouched down, the male finally removing the clip to the check how much ammo he had -- a mere 14 shots? He'd made do with it. If only he'd snatched on of the 'expiremental' weapons down in the lab before he'd left... no. That was stupid. Each of those weapons were trackable, and if he'd taken them, he'd have been found in less than a day. No, they were better left where they were. But now that the world as he knew it had gone to shit, perhaps no one would be looking if one happened to go missing.
It was an idea, but one for a later time. He needed to get off this bus, and out of the open; one of the entrances to the lab was nearby, but it was currently flooded with walkers, courtesy of two dropped barrels as a distraction by what he could only hope was his guardian angel. God, if there were zombies on the roof, he was screwed if they fell...
Hehe, raining zombies. As if his day wasnt bad enough as is-- but it was about to get much worse. Down the street, in the direction opposite of where the horde of walkers were, a siren began wailing.
"Shit, shit shi--" Quickly, the male ducked down, laying flat atop the bus as a thought occurred to him. If these creatures operated by sound, then surely the alarm would attact them. And with the alarm attracting them, they would move away from the entrance to the lap-- the very place he needed to be. Silently, the elf began to thank whatevery diety was watching over him for the distraction, and waited.
He could hear them moving around him. The shuffling, the slither of blood and body fluids rubbing against cloth and pavement. It was disgusting, not to mention the fucking smell. It was enough to almost force him to gag, but the male knew better. He remained motionlesss until the alarm died down, and peered down in the direction of the underground lab's entrance.
Clear, cept a lone walker, whom was staggering in the direction of lab's entrance... A smile crept across the elf's face. He'd never what hit him...
The male dropped to ground and took off into a dead run. The advantges of being an elf? You were light on your feet. And when you ran, you ran like the wind; a faint whisper, and no one was ever quite sure where you came from. But for this poor walker... He'd hate Drake if he ever knew what was happening. As the elf ran, an arm was stuck out in an attempt to closeline the walker. Given the speed at which Drake was running-- an elf, with his own natural strength, plus scietificly engineered physiology that was engineered to be the perfect soldier... he'd hit the walker with the force of a speeding car, more than enough to decapitate it and send the head airborn.
But that was not all. Even if he couldn't take out every walker in his path, this one would get a sample of his wrath. Leaping into the air, the elf would grab the 'shocked' and snarling head, taking care to avoid the teeth as he twisted mid-air, drew back the hand holding the head, and fastballed it back into the headless torso. The cranium would impact the torso with a squishing sound, causing the body to flip over backwards before falling flat. With a smirk, the male made his way over to the 'secret' entrance to the underground labs -- a business housed in a skyscraper. Pushin through the revolving door, the male cocked the glock that he held, and ventured inside.

| .oO(Apologies for the wait, haven't been feeling good.)
Once she was back on the roof she had started on she threw a quick glance over the edge; just in time to see the person below her head straight for the unblocked - save for one zombie who was likely about to have a nasty headache - and into the building. Michonne didn't waste any time in heading over to the stairwell. She jumped the first six steps, turned the corner, and jumped the second; punching her way out of the door before she fully stopped moving.
She ignored the zombies whose attention she had caught with the sound of the door and moved over to the elevator. She punched the down button several times; grinning as she heard the elevator inside begin to move up one floor to the one she was on. The doors opened with a soft chime and, after shoving two zombies out of the elevator in a rough fashion, she stepped in and slammed the door closed button with a finger. As she doors closed she pressed the star key that would take her to the floor she hoped the guy was still on; the entrance floor.
The elevator moved quickly, and Michonne kept her fingers crossed that the generators held steady and kept the thing moving. Thirty seconds passed and the elevator came to a stop; doors opening. She put her foot in the way to keep the door open; remaining in the elevator. "Oi! If you can hear me, get your ass over in the elevator before you get eaten: I know where there's supplies and shit in here, and no zombies!" She was willing to risk the guy being infected: it wasn't like she could be bitten or scratched and turned - she already was a zombie after all. She just hoped the guy was still on the first floor and hadn't already begun to move; especially since the elevator would take them straight down in the lab.

What the hell? There was someone there-- a survivor of the initial outbreak that ravanged the lab? And if there was one, whom was it? One of the doc's? One of the military personel? It had to be. Only someone well aquainted with the labs would know where shit was down there."
"Who the hell are you?" The glock was raised carefully, booted feet taking slow steps across the lobby in the direction of the elevator. Whomever it was in the elevator had to fucking go. Unless Drake left the buildinig and went to another another entrance, the elevator was the only way down into the labs.
Giving the open door a wide berth, the male aimed the firearm he held into the elevatore, green eyes frowning at the female he found inside.

| Michonne couldn't help but roll her eyes; she couldn't survive a shot to the head but with the countless shit that she had gone through over the past few months it wasn't like death exactly scared her - she was proof that there were things far worse than that. However, she figured they weren't going to really get anywhere unless she answered his questions enough to get him to lower the gun and comply with getting on the elevator.
"My name's Michonne. Elf and ex-test subject of the bastards who once ran this place. Also your guardian angel from the looks of that shit storm I saved you from a few minutes ago. Mind getting in the elevator, now? Before the horde comes back that is... Or the power fails again?" She wasn't going to wait much longer; she didn't want to risk the annoying flesh eaters from ending up down in the lab with her - it was the one place that didn't smell like rotting flesh and she planned on at least trying to keep it that way as much as possible.
"If you want to know more I'll explain it to you, but not up here." She stepped back enough to allow him to get into the elevator if that was his choice; her pointer finger resting near the door close button - if he didn't get on the elevator soon she was going to close the doors. She could hear the fire siren die out and knew that the horde was going to be back soon... it really was now or never.

Wait, what? There were other test subjects beyond him and John? It was a bit shocking in news, but now that he thought about it, it didnt seem so far fetched -- especially when one thought of the vast sums of money that this corporation must have had. Thje building, the ability to build an underground lab in the middle of a city and no one noticing? Either someone had balls, or a few people in thier pockets.
"If you want to know more I'll explain it to you, but not up here."
The gun was lowered and the male stepped forward, into the elvator. "Thanks for the save, Michonne. Name's Drake. Drake... Crownguard." He wasnt sure why he'd given his surname as Crownguard-- he wasnt even sure if he had a surname. But even with that, he wasnt about to let on that he himself was an expirement from this same facility. He remained quiet as the elevator doors closed behind him, and he took up a position to Michonne's left side, keeping the glock on the far side, away from the female. "So, how long have you been here...?"

| Once the man who introduced himself as Drake was on the elevator she punched the door close button with a finger and then pressed the button labeled with an A; one of the only buttons labeled with a letter instead of a number. As the elevator began to move she turned her attention back to Drake, not missing a beat that he was keeping the gun away from her; she expected such since it would make him foolish to trust her right off the bat.
"I've been here since the very beginning of this outbreak; well, technically before." Information without giving too much detail: last thing she wanted was to admit she was an enhanced infected and be shot after all.
As the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened Michonne stepped out and into a very grand looking hallway with wooden panels. It was one of the only nice hallways in the lab, likely used for nothing but show in case someone had accidentally stumbled onto the lab when visiting the building back before the outbreak. She glanced right and then left before turning herself left and beginning to walk down the hallway. She was headed towards the kitchen area; she was hungry and thirsty, and figured that Drake could likely at least use a drink if not some food too.
"How long have you been here?", she asked curiously, figuring it be best to get at least some knowledge about her new 'friend'.

| "How long have you been here?"
Quick, think of something.... He'd been about the downtown, far out as the farmlands, and everwhere in between. Maybe he could lie his way out of this? "I live out in the suburbs. Been holded up at home since this began. Figured now would be a good time to chance a supply run." He fell into step with Michonne, following closely. The glock was still gripped in his hand, but he kept it pointed downward. So long as she didnt show any signs of hostility, everything would be cool. Green eyes were peeled-- he didnt know this part of the lab. His specialty were the lower levels, specificly the armory and research departments, but he wasnt about to voice this.
Booted feet clicked across down the halls; and with each step, greeen eyes glanced about, taking in the surroundings, formulating a mental map of the route they were taking. If this went to shit later, he needed to know how to get back to the elevator and either go deeper, or escape. Chances are, he'd go deeper-- once he was on familiar floors, he knew his way around. He could easily stock up and fight his way out if it came to it.
"So, tell me... You say you were a test subject. Uh.. I hope I'm not prying, but what did they do to you?" He glanced at the female, looking her up and down. She seemed normal enough, at least on the outside. For all he knew, Michonne could have had a bomb where her heart was supposed to be, and it was ticking down to explode... "I mean, you don't have to answer or anything. I'm just curious..."
Suddenly, he felt like an idiot. He should have asked this shit before he got in the elevator with her, not after they were underground and in unfamiliar terroritory. His grip on the glock tightened, knuckles going white as he waited for a response....

| Michonne glanced back at Drake at his question, pausing for a moment in her walking to stare long and hard at him; only that staring only lasted roughly three seconds. She then turned her head and started walking again, leading the last few feet to the kitchen area and then inside. She went over to the fridge silently while contemplating what exactly she wanted to tell him: it was a personal question indeed but not likely for reasons she assumed he was thinking. She assumed that if she told him the complete and honest truth one of two things would happen: he would either go screaming and running from the room in terror or he would attempt to shoot her in the head and kill her. Neither of those were choices she wanted to deal with at the moment. So, half truth it was!
She opened the fridge door and opened it; however she didn't turn her attention to the inside of the fridge, simply to the door. She pulled out some jelly and set it on the counter nearby before closing the door. She then opened an overhead cabinet and pulled out some peanut butter and pulled the loaf of bread close to her. She opened a drawer and pulled out a butter knife before closing it. She got to work on making one of several sandwiches.
"I was... their guinea pig so to speak. Someone they tested things on. Did experiments on... Apparently lab rats weren't enough, they wanted an actual living and breathing person that they could make scream and twitch and convulse at their leisure.. someone who could tell them what was wrong each time." Her voice had turned almost stoney sounding towards the end of her explanation; she hadn't given away the complete truth, but enough that she hoped would satisfy his curiosity. She completed the fourth and last sandwich before putting two on a paper plate and sliding it towards him. Figuring he likely wasn't going to eat it unless she did first she picked up one of her own and took a bite out of it; chewing carefully and swallowing before repeating the process.

| That stare. That stare was creepy as fuck. He was about ready to start letting off shots when Michonne began walking again. But his curiosity was peeked; was that red in her eyes that he saw? He wasnt one to watch this chick's eyes -- not that the knew anything of flirting anyway; he been giving the equivalent of homechooling his entire life. He remained quiet the entire time that Michonne led them into the kitchen, taking a seat at a table while she fished around in the cabinets.
As she spoke, the male threw glances around the room, taking in the layout of the area. It seemed like same as the cafeteria in the lower levels, but more furnished to appeal. Perhaps the this was the 'executive' kitchen? The floor seemed to be completely improper for for a laboratory-- an expensive type of tile? Not that it didnt matter -- Drake knew nothing of decor, and unless Michonne was particularly fond of it, no one alive cared anymore.
As the paper plate was slid towards him, the male looked at the 'food' with mild curiosity. He'd never seen anything like it before. He knew what peanut butter, jelly, and bread were -- those were basic MRE foods. But something like this... he'd never seen before. He stared at the food for a moment, glancing between the sandwich and and Michonne until she took a bit. Taking the cue from her, he mimiced her hand positions, lifting a sandwich from the plate and taking a bite.
...Jesus take the wheel.. the male quickly bit into the food again, chewing and swallowing like he'd never eaten before in his life. The sweetness of the jelly combined with the peanutbutter was delicious as fuck. A thought occured to him; perhaps he was drawing unwanted attention to himself with the way he was eating?
..Nah, fuck that. There was another sandwich to eat! The second one quickly followed the first, vanishing amongst the sound of lips smacking and fingers being licked clean of the sticky goodness. When he was done, he smiled sheepishly. "Sorry... been a while since I ate. " Almost as if to prove him true, his stomach roared, demanding another sacrifice of the deliciousness.

| Michonne ate her own sandwich rather slowly; she was far too used to eating such things as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that she no longer had the urge to scarf her own down. But, seeing as how quickly Drake was eating her own she couldn't help but smile and pass over her plate, giving him the other untouched sandwich on it. "I used to eat them like that; my mom always yelled at me to be careful or I was going to choke. You can have my second one; I don't get that hungry anymore."
She turned back to the fridge after a few seconds. After opening the door she reached inside and pulled out two fresh bottles of cold water. She placed one of the bottles by Drake's plate before leaning her back against the nearby counter and opening her own. A few swigs of her water later and she replaced the cap; her stomach felt full, so she was happy.
"Are you actually hiding out somewhere? Or just free roaming? You're welcome to stay here, as long as you like, there's more than enough room. Better than spending the night out there with that horde still roaming around; and it'll be dark in about fifteen minutes." She unscrewed the cap to her bottle of water and took another swig. "Up to you..." She didn't know why exactly she wanted to be helpful towards Drake, especially after watching so many others die while trying to reach the building, but there was something about him that caused that little voice in the back of her skull to tell her to be nice: maybe she'd find out sooner or later the exact reason.

The male smiled sheepishly again, shaking his head. Though he was still hungry, he didnt want to scarf dwon another sandwich and make himself sick. He was grateful for the bit of hospitality, but something was tugging at him-- how exactly was he going to raid this place for the supplies he needed with her there? He hadnt counted on someone living being in the labs-- more like he'd have to fight his way through former scientists and security until he could make his way into a room and barricade himself. From there...well, he hadnt really planned it. More than likely find an air vent to use to get around the building until he got to the armory.

"I've... been living in the suburbs nearby for a while. Was barricaded up in my house for the longest time. Figured now would be a good time to make a supply run. Maybe I'd find some shit people missed, or hit up a supermarket." The male fell quiet. What he said wasnt completely a lie; he had indeed been holed up in a house for while, after killing the turned owners. The house had ample supplies that kept him stable for a long while, but now... he needed more. Or, an escape.
He wouldnt tell her that he'd scoured most of the downtown area so far, and that there wasnt much left. Nor, that he'd been purposely looking for the lab...
"And thank you... I'll take you up on that offer to stay." Perhaps this would work out after all. After she fell asleep, he could sneak into the lower levels, stock up, and bail out at dawn. Perhaps.. today wouldnt be so bad.

| Michonne saw him shake his head no and moved herself away from the counter with a shrug. She opened the drawer nearby and pulled out a little baggie which she then proceeded to slip the sandwich into before throwing it on the counter: it would keep for a little while before it became too nasty. Once she was finished she slid the drawer shut while listening to him explain that he had been living in the suburbs,, held up in a house for the longest time, and had figured it was time for a supply run.
When he took her up on her offer to stay she nodded and walked towards the kitchen doorway with her bottle of water in hand; figuring he would follow her. "Alright then, follow me... We're going to go deeper into the underground area. It's safer down there because no zombie can accidentally press a button and end up there." Which, of course, was the absolute truth. Anyone could get into this section of the lab which was why she was always on her toes in here, but down below took a keycard to get into: zombies couldn't use those unless they were smart like her.
Out in the hall she headed down two doors where she stopped; each of the doors were steel and fireproof but this one had extra security built into it because it led to the staircase and special elevator that would take them lower: there were several of them littered through the lab and she checked them daily to ensure no one could break in to where the real supplies were. She swiped a bloody keycard and waited a moment for a soft beep to sound and a click; when she heard both she pushed open the door and held it open for Drake to follow after her.
Once inside she led the way down the step; still not trusting the elevator. "Unlike most places this one still has power because I've been keeping the generator up and running... but, I still don't trust the elevator. The last thing I want to do is get stuck - especially in those ones." Simple enough of an explanation as she headed down the last few steps to the door below and another set of stairs that led further down into the lab where the weapons and armor were kept: which was yet another key card opening one. She pulled out another keycard, slightly more high-tech looking than the first, and swiped it. The door opened seconds later with another beep and a click and she was holding this one open for Drake as well.
They had made it into the heart of the underground lab; where the majority of the sleeping quarters, the second kitchen, male and female locker rooms, training facilities, and the mind of the underground lab were kept. She turned left and started to lead the way towards the sleeping quarters.
