First Day of School [Open][NR]

Matt came close when asked, and shook his head to know his secret had been revealed. Rubbing his forehead he gave Stretch a strange look.

"...What? I'm not all super powered like all of you, i'm only human! How was I supposed to know my mind was being read?" He said.

Matt shook his head again while patting Stretch on either of his shoulders. During which, several of his Nanoids exited from beneath the folds of his skin, to then enter Stretch's form. The Nanoids would harmlessly inhabit his bloodstream, the Negation making his mind unable to be read, and even enhance him somewhat. He would come to find out soon enough. "Don't worry," said Matt. "I've taken care of that, no one can see into your head anymore. Just take my word for it..."

With that out of the way, his focus went into this Chi exercise. He had the basics down already, but never really applied it as the Master instructed all of the students to. This would be something he'd have to meditate to use properly. Focus on the point in the center while stilling the body and mind. Then take Holeman's instructions and push it to the next level. Matt had his doubts that the plan would work, but after an period of intense concentration he could feel the Chi manifest between his palms. Matt was able to create his own sphere of blue energy after pulling the Chi from within.

Stretch stared at the ball of Chi in fascination. He poked it with an index finger and watched it move similar to water or slime. "That's sick man, your own life energy in the palm of your hands," he said. "...Just be careful that you don't over-do it, right? This is your life we're talking about here..."

So, Amaranth had a werewolf problem again? It wasn't surprising - things like this happened, especially when dealing with a dangerous virus like that that could spread so easily. She nodded to Amaranth's words, making a mental note to go check on the situation later on and see what she could do to help - she had no problem with killing mindless werewolf zombies after all, and likely would fun the experience fun like she had the last time. Maybe she'd even get to spend more time on the beach.

She turned her attention then back to the others, her green and purple gaze going to Stretch as he spoke up about his mind being read and then to Matt as he fixed the issue. An eyebrow rose as she mentally reached forward, poking mentally at whatever Matt had done: but she got no sort of information back, and grinned. She withdrew her mind, keeping her mental hands to herself once again for the time being. She was tempted to go snooping in the girls mind who she had sent running, but figured that the surprise of whatever revenge the girl was going to plan - and she was damn sure going to do something after being humiliated like that - would be fun to deal with when the time came.

She focused carefully on Matt as he manifested his own life force in his hands. She had never seen such a thing done up close before and found herself wanting to reach forward and poke it... and so she stuffed her hands into her pockets, trying to keep them to herself. "Hnnn... that's.... distracting, to put it simply.", she said, eyes glued to the colored mass. Yeaaaap, distracted Malkavian was distracted, at least until it was gone.

Holeman grinned. This guy had to be something else to be able to harness his Chi so quickly, or have already had practice. It would be kind of cool to see someone else using his trademark move, originally designed to scare away rats from the garden behind the clinic back home. He nodded his head toward Matt. Holeman too tried reading Stretch's mind again, but now, after whatever Matt just did, that was impossible. He had a good idea to block him however he himself was being blocked; information like secret identities had to be guarded.

The bell rang, and Holeman stood up making adjustments to his book bag. He pulled his schedule out and looked at it before looking back up at Matt. "Good going! I think you might be able to use it even earlier than I first thought! As long as you keep practicing like that it'll get easier and easier. Maybe i'll see you later on or something, yeah? I better get to my first class, see you all later!..."

Science was way upstairs on the 4th floor somewhere. He only had about 5 minutes to get all the way up there so he waved and took off running into the ocean of kids piling into the front doors, quickly getting lost within the ocean of bodies and legs...

Amaranth tossed the apple's core into a nearby garbage can and then looked back down at her schedule. Her first class was also Science, and she hoped she would enjoy it. Science was her favorite thing after all.

She grabbed up the strap of her book bag and lifted it back onto her shoulder. "I gotta go too... I have Science also. I'm sure I'll see ya'll later on." With that said she took off after Holeman, waving before doing so. She slipped through all of the people, feet pounding up the steps as she reached them. The last thing she wanted was to be late on her first day of school after all.

Matt went silent with concentration. He drowned the rest of the world out as all of his focus was upon the ball of chi in his hands. He found that he could make the ball bigger and smaller at his whim. What kind of reaction would he get from throwing this at somebody? Would it blow up like Holeman's did? It was exciting to think about.

The bell rang, and off ran Holeman and Amaranth. Stretch said something but Matt wasn't listening much. Computer lab was first, but he'd already aced that class, so there would be nothing to do but sit in the back and continue practicing. Stretch had English 1st hour, so after a pat on the shoulder he left.

All of his concentration and focus was on his Chi while moving through the crowd of kids and into the main building. Matt even found that he could use the Chi to momentarily become stronger and faster. Was this how Xan got the drop on him in that last fight? It was all becoming clear. As if programmed he made his way to the computer class, taking his usual seat right next to the front door. Not many looked here unless someone was coming in so he'd be free to practice undisturbed. He'd probably see Cala at lunch or in the next class, and he didn't have to worry about her not being able to hold her own against the scum that inhabited the school, for reasons other than learning...

Her first class was History which made her want to cackle, even though she held it in. She was slightly over four hundred years old, and she knew from reading countless books either on her own or through the eyes and thoughts of others, that what the humans thought was history wasn't entirely true. Sure they got the dates right, and the names for the most part, but behind a lot of the wars and violence that broke out, behind all of the lies spread as to the reasons why, always seemed to hide one or more supernatural being that had been pulling the strings all along.

She made a mental note as she walked beside Matt, at least up until he turned a different way and headed off to his first class, that she would have to make sure she kept her facts separated. She couldn't go spilling untold secrets after all - besides, that would likely lead to her failing and she had no intentions of doing that.

So, as she climbed one of many sets up steps, heading to her first class, she repeated that to herself several times over again. She slipped into the classroom and took a seat in the first desk available, right by the door.
