Another typical day of running around on the tops of buildings, exploring this huge new playground, looking for opportunities to earn Credits until the Company thing downtown, in the tall building, where the other "him" lived. To occupy himself so that he wasn't totally completely bored, Spook took up a strange fascination with graffiti and spray paint cans. While traversing the rooftops and the walls of buildings he would sometimes come across where someone had spray painted. He stared long at the colors and the designs, often for hours. Spook came across a group of kids in a Parkour exercise. They were scared of him at first, but he showed genuine interest in their artwork, and even bought some of their spray cans for himself.
Through the days of exercise and meditation, he'd often think long of Aisling. Why had the gods decided to trash everything right when things seemed to be at their best? The whole thing angered him; he felt that everything he'd done had all been for nothing if some god was just going to get rid of it all like yesterday's trash. Spook prayed that where ever she was in whatever dimension out there, that she was at least happy.
Spook would sometimes find a fresh wall that seemed to call out to him, begging to be sprayed upon. He landed from a long leap from a building a distance away in a crouch, looking upon a new wall to leave his signature upon. He could think of nothing else to spray except accurate pictures of Aisling, his village back home, and his name. At the moment he was putting the finishing touches on a very detailed picture of his village, particularly the food bar that he used to live above, when he began picking up on the sounds of an incident somewhere nearby.
"Gimmie all the money! Empty the register! Hurry up!"
"I don't have much, we don't have a lot of cash on hand!"
"Bullshit! Open the fucking register or i'll kill you!" The metal sounds indicated he was armed with a gun of some sort.
"Okay! Okay fine, take it! Take it easy!"
"Good, then when you're done with that, you're gonna go in the back and open the safe! We'll be taking the video tapes too, so if you don't want anyone getting shot you better cooperate. Benny, watch the door. Gino, go get the tape from the back. Let's make this quick." Two others start moving, clicking sounds from them as well, indicating they were also armed.
Two behind the counter, un-armed; hostages. 5 others in various points, on the floor; more hostages. Without the guns, they were nothing. Barely evolved nonathletic wastes of men. More weaklings hiding behind tools. Rid them of these tools, and the rest is easy.
Entrance. A draw of the Fine Katana and a Perfect Slash is enough to slice the gun in two, making it useless. The other two begin turning their heads toward the sound, but Spook is much faster than them. Another Perfect Slash of the Fine Katana destroys Gino's gun before they can get their heads around to the first guy, Benny. As they get their heads toward Benny is when the first guy, the ring leader's gun is destroyed by a final Perfect Slash. Spook sheathes the sword as all 3 guns fall apart at the same time.
While still trying to gather what happened, The ring leader is hit in the face by a leaping spinning kick Spook called "The Violent Heel." The "smack" sound of Spook's heel impacting against the robber's face echoed loud in the store. He is thrown to the floor in a painful fashion in which he ends up slamming hard upon his face.
Gino was still trying to figure out what was wrong with his gun when Spook hit him with "Force Palms." Several ribs were broken. Internal organs such as the liver and intestine had been ruptured, causing the man to fall crumpled to the floor hugging his mid-section.
Benny had just managed to look up when a fist smashed into his groin, making him scream like a female in a horror movie. Three more hard fists slammed into his rib cage, the pops and snaps of several of them being broken loud and audible. Spook was about to uppercut Benny to complete his "You're too close" combo, but doing so would mean damaging the store. So instead, Spook just pushed Benny's head over and watched him fall to the floor.
The hostages began to stand. The Store owners thanked Spook for helping them. Spook only responded by grabbing a bag of chips off the nearby display, paying for it and leaving.
