Happiness in a Park [Open][NR]

Knowing that both of her girls had been training hard - Nanalie with her gun and Riley with her knives - she figured they were more than due for a break. So, she had escorted both of her girls to a nearby park; where there were some lovely planted flowers and trees, a jungle gym, monkey bars, swing sets, and some contraption that you held onto as you ran in a circle around it and then jumped on until you were dizzy or it slowed down - like a merry-go-'round.

She had positioned herself on a nearby bench, keeping her eyes and ears peeled for anything out of the ordinary, she didn't trust the park not to have weirdo's. She knew it was a bit late, but she had wanted some fresh air, and some time to think about things that had been going on recently; and how she felt about everything....

Riley ran in circles around the merry-go-'round, giggling and laughing loudly before she jumped up, both feet being removed from the ground as she jumped onto the metal circle. Her hands gripped the colorful bars as she positioned herself into a better position. Everything spun around her, and her giggles continued. She could already feel herself getting dizzy, but she didn't close her eyes.

She could see her sister, her mother, a tree, the swings, her sister, her mother, the tree again... Around and around everything went around her, until the merry-go-round began to slow, and she knew that she would have to hop off soon and run around it again to start it up spinning quickly.

Nanalie watched as her sister went to the merry-go-'round and began to run around the thing while holding on to the bars, making it all spin before she jumped on to it. Her giggles were infectious, and Nanalie found herself smiling as she walked over to the swing set, wondering how dizzy her sister was going to end up being when she was done. She sat herself in the swing closest to the bench her mother was seated on.

Her feet pressed against the ground as she kicked off, leaning her torso backwards, hair draping down behind her and blowing in the wind and her movement. After a moment of the swing rocking her backwards and forwards she began to pump her legs, bringing her torso back up so that she didn't fall out of the swing as it slowly began to go higher and higher up, taking her further away from the ground with each pump of her legs.

Rage was coursing through Remiels veins as he watched his charge and her little girls play; he wasn't angry at them though, he was angry at who wasn't with them. Why did the bastard constantly make his family suffer, why was the bastard never there? Remiel could only guess that he was off somewhere sleeping again, just as he had been when Demitria King died, or when she left to come back to Edge City alone with only the girls in tow. He was an imbecile there really was no other way for him to describe it.

But he was going to fix all of this for his charge; he was going to remove any and every trace of Flynn from all three of them, make it like Flynn never existed in their lives. He had waited far too long to do this but he had wanted enough evidence to provide reason behind it all which he had more than enough of now; and he would ensure that everything was explained when the process was over with the letter he had written before following them to the park.

Green eyes locked onto the three females from his unseen position; his unseen presence was a God send in situations such as these as there really was no way possible for them to see him, sense him, smell him, or be able to see him through any special abilities; as if he really wasn't there.

His first task would be to remove the memories of all three of the females; something he was well trained at with his memory manipulation skills, and it would be more than easy to remove them from all three females at once. He reached forth with his mind and entered into all three of theirs at the same time, his own mental defenses raised so that no harm could come to him while he plucked the memories from their unsuspecting minds. Targeting only the memories of Flynn he removed them, destroying them upon removal so that they could not be given back. At the same time he placed his already well worked false memory into their minds; Demitria would remember a husband who she believed was human who was really an angel who died defending her and the girls, and the girls would remember a loving and caring father who was there for them; the whole process with both the removal and the placement would take but the time it would take one to blink, with really no way for him to be fought off due to his unknown presence, mental defenses, and their lack of protection against such an invasion. A mental protection would also be added onto them as he finished which would stop anyone from being able to mind meld with them or give them their memories back through another means, while causing it to backfire upon the one attempting it to devastating extremes.

Not done there, he reached forth with his genocide ability next to the girls but he wasn't going to kill them, instead he removed every trace of Flynn's DNA and genes, erasing it and destroying it from their systems while at the same time he carefully began to add his own to make up for the sudden loss and to keep their bodies from breaking down or becoming hurt in a manner of speaking. This too would take the same amount of time as before, which was really no time at all, and again easily capable of happening due to the lack of defenses against any sort of genocidal attack such as this one.

The whole process would likely leave the three dazed as their minds and bodies adjusted to this new information he had placed into them but unhurt as the processes were painless, and he used this time to pull a scroll written on heavenly paper with elegant scroll writing on the front addressed to Alec Kane and with a red silk ribbon wrapped around it, on the empty swing next to Nanalie. And then he turned, walking off, still entirely unseen.

The letter left behind for Alec Kane would reach as just:
Mr. Alec Kane,
First, I shall introduce myself; my name is Remiel, and I am Demitria Crux King's Guardian angel. I have sat back and watched from the darkness since shortly after she became a Vampire; I have felt each emotion she has felt, every drop of pain she has felt has been my own as well.
The reason for me telling you this is simple: no longer could I sit back and watch the things she has been going through without interfering. Demitria has been suffering in silence for a long time. I have watched, unable to step in until now, as all of these terrible things have happened to her. I watched her cause mischief over in that heavenly white city which ended up resulting in that spirit of vengeance. I watched as you kept Demitria in your building to keep her safe for an entire week. I watched as she left with her daughter after that week to then head back to their island home. I watched as Cross took her life with a sword in front of her little girl while her husband slept in your building, unaware of his family having even left or that anything had even happened.
I watched as you and your daughter raced to her while Flynn remained asleep. I watched as you destroyed Cross from existence itself, and then revived my charge. How you had her taken back to your building where she would be safe under your protection. I witnessed her trying desperately to get her memories back and the pain that it caused, how you put a shotgun, the same you had used to destroy Cross, into Flynn's face and told him that his family was now yours. I watched as he walked out on them after detailing in front of his little girl and wife that he was going to go off and die either by killing himself or by his racial genes doing it for him.
I watched Demitria struggle in that alley way to get her memories back, and how in the end it was one of your people, a young girl, who gave Demitria her memories and abilities back; who restored her to her previous person; no, not restored, enhanced, made her stronger and more powerful than ever before.
I watched Flynn return to her. I watched as she returned to that island out by Japan without Flynn again, while he stayed behind to go chase a young man down and then nearly destroy him with some other super powered creature. I watched as he returned to the island and then watched as the only moment he spent with his family in the month since Demitria was taken from us was to grow a large ironwood tree.
My anger burned for Demitria, an anger she had not allowed herself to feel because I believe she has made it her duty to focus on only the good things.
But, my anger couldn't take anymore when I watched Demitria be ordered off of the island with her children for their own safety, and four days pass by without Flynn coming to look for them. Without him bothering to care that the woman who bore his children, who had just died, was gone, disappeared without a trace and with his children to boot.
He doesn't deserve them, Mr. Kane. And Demitria and her children certainly do not deserve to go through the constant hell and neglect that that thing puts them through.
So I fixed all of it, Mr. Kane. I have entirely erased Demitria, Nanalie, and little Riley's memories of their father, and have replaced them with memories of a male who died saving them. A male that Demitria thought was a human but who was really an angel. I have even gone so far as to entirely erase Flynn's gene's from the children and replace them with my own; making them part vampire and part angel. It was a painless process, I assure you, as I would do nothing to cause harm to Demitria, or innocence like her children.
I just simply tell you this as a "heads up" as the modern world puts it, so that if the children begin to show more angelic like qualities you are aware, and perhaps can lend a hand to them to help them understand their new selves?
With this explained I shall now end this letter which I simply wrote because I felt that you of all people, you who has been there with her and treated her like a child of your own, deserved an explanation of my actions.

P.S.
I do not know nor do I care if Flynn ever comes looking for his family, but in the off chance that he does with some unrealistic idea of hunting me down and getting their memories and genes back please make him aware that it is futile, as I destroyed them after removing them to ensure that nothing can be done to revive it all by magic. Any attempt at giving the children or their mother back his memories by mind melding or similar abilities will result in it backfiring and possibly causing harm on the one making the attempt: as well as possibly causing harm to Demitria or the girls themselves.
If he wishes for his relationship to continue with my charge he will simply have to work for it the old fashioned way if Demitria and the children even want anything to do with the useless bastard.

Knowing that someone would likely come around soon with the way that Alec Kane seemed to keep an eye on these girls he felt that it was more than safe to leave his charge there while he went to accept what ever sort of punishment that God might have for him when he went to turn in his activities.

The high was gone when he could feel something going on with Demi, Nanalie and Riley. The Healing Factor was in play, almost instantly making Alec sober. Whenever she was in Edge, Alec made it a point to know where Demi was at all times through Telepathy, a common ability of any Angel. With Maxi off where ever he was now, and Flynn... Alec didn't know what to say about that guy, the girl had to be going through rough times, even if she did an excellent job of hiding it. She shouldn't have had to go through the shit she was. Neglected by her people. Alec wasn't going to be one of those people, he'd always be there for her.

So when it felt like an unseen force had reached into their heads and began taking out memories and parts of the children's physiologies, it only took Alec all of 1 entire second to grab his dufflebag, open the window behind him, and travel the distance between the window and where Demi and the children stood in the park, dazed, but unharmed.

Angelic Speed:

No one else was here. Alec could feel no traces that anyone else had even been here in the last few moments. Alec stood nearby Demi and the children concentrating so hard that his eyes and Halo were glowing brightly. A wind began to blow, causing his white hair and grey coat to billow and flap around him, trying his hardest to pick up on any sort of evil, or someone hiding behind the scenes, but there was absolutely nothing.

Something was on one of the swings that gave him a foreign feeling of nostalgia; a feeling of being in heaven, where he was born, but could not remember fully. Through the years, bits and pieces slipped through, but there was the chance that his memories from heaven would never fully return. Whatever that was on the swing was created in heaven, he could feel it in his very blood. A scroll. Alec picked it up and opened it, reading... and understood everything.

Demitria had been keeping an eye on her children: Riley on the merry-go-round, and Nanalie on the swings. At least... until she suddenly found herself dazed. She had no control over it, no choice. It had come out of nowhere, and no amount of mental defense was going to stop it. Memories were removed almost instantly, and new ones put into their place: memories of a man she had loved and had birthed children to the same man who then later died saving them all.

As the dazed feeling wore off she reached up, rubbing at her head for a moment before her gaze snapped onto Alec, suddenly realizing he had arrived. She blinked a few times, waiting for her fuzzy brain to fix itself and wondering where that feeling had suddenly come from. She stared at Alec for a moment longer after the fuzzy feeling wore off and her normal feeling returned.

A frown suddenly crossed across her face as her mind went back to working: why was Alec suddenly here? Was something wrong? Did something bad happen somewhere? Did she do something that she couldn't remember that had led her to being in trouble? "What's up? Something wrong?"

Riley had been spinning on the merry-go-round, which had started to slow. Just as she was about to step off to go run around the thing again a few times to get it to spin faster she found herself dazed. Memories were picked out of her mind as well, and replaced with new ones. And then... and then her Daoine side was removed completely... and was replaced with an angelic physiology. All without pain, all without any sort of issue at all. In fact, it had happened so fast that barely any pause happened between her dazed feeling and her jumping off of the merry-go-round, grabbing hold of the bars, and running around it in a circle again.

As she jumped back on to the merry-go-round she giggled loudly, and as it spun she noticed that Alec had shown up: at least until she found herself staring at her mother, and than a tree... and whatever else was around as she went in a circle on the merry-go-round.

"HI!", she said as she spun again and faced Alec until the merry-go-round continued to move once more.

The swing kept moving but Nanalie was trapped in a daze: as if she were day dreaming or halfway asleep. Her grip on the chains of the swing was about the only thing that kept her there, her legs frozen, straight out in front of her, as she'd been in the midst of pumping her legs in and out to drive the swing even higher.

Her memories were likewise picked out of her brain, and new ones put into their place without her permission, without her wanting it to happen. But, she too had no way to stop this, or to protect herself against it. Even if her mind lashed out on its own she still couldn't harm the one invading her, and likewise she wouldn't even know he was there. Then her genes were being taken from her, robbed from her, and she again could do nothing to stop it, didn't even know it was happening with the dazed condition she was stuck in.

The daze lifted soon enough and she found Alec nearby her, reading something? Where had he come from? What was he reading? "Hello! Did you come to play with us?"

Alec closed the scroll. He rolled it up again and put it inside of his dufflebag.

He listened to all of them. The stunned state they were in wore off, and things seemed to be normal. Alec blinked his eyes. He turned to put a hand on Demi's neck and the side of her face, pulling her closer to him to look deeply within her eyes. Silver eyes looked inside of her, past the cobwebs and voices and the things a Malkavian had in their head, into her memories... It was all true. No traces were left. The man was flawless in swapping out Flynn for a totally different man. It was the same with Nanalie and Riley...

Telepathy:

Alec was always aware that there were beings behind the scenes pulling strings, manipulating things. There were guardian angels, boogeymen, tooth fairies, cupids and things of that nature in some way, shape or form. Interfering in such things would be messing with the natural order. Alec knew that sometimes, shit just happened, and that you couldn't save everyone. Sometimes things were just for the best, and better left that way.

"No... Nothing's wrong. Sorry, I just got paranoid... You've been through enough. I just want to make sure you and the girls are alright..."

Alec pulled her closer to smooch the girl on her forehead before letting her go and moving off some to give her space. He could only shake his head and look off into the skies somewhere.

"You all know where to find me if you need me..."

This is what he said before the after image that was left behind faded and disappeared from view...

Demi blinked as Alec touched her neck and side of her face, looking into her eyes. She figured he was poking around in her brain for some reason, but she didn't care: she trusted him, after all, he was like a second father to her, and had done more than enough for her in just the past month alone. So, if he wanted to poke around in her brain a bit then he could go right ahead and do so: she just hoped he didn't end up with a headache from all of the constant noise going off in there, noise she was all to used to. And then her was kissing her on the forehead and she smiled.

With his assurance that nothing was wrong she watched as his afterimage faded and then looked to her girls. "Why don't we head back to the tower, eh? Go get something to eat... maybe you girls can go train some more?"

She held her hand out, preparing to leave after her girls joined her...

Noticing that Alec seemingly faded away she giggled. "Bye bye!", she called out, figuring he would probably hear her. Listening to her mother speak of them going to get something to eat and more training she jumped off of the merry-go-round before it even finished spinning. She got her balance quickly enough and ran over to her mother, sticking her palm in her mother's larger one.

"Okay, okay! Let's go! Can we have pancakes for dinner?! With eggs and sausage?!" Yup, she wanted breakfast for dinner.

Nanalie jumped up off of the swing and landed in a crouched position, all before standing up and walking over to her mother. She also slipped her hand into her mother's and left with her. She giggled at how her sister wished for breakfast for dinner, but she wouldn't mind that... it sounded funny really.
