Things were calmer now; no more random attacks, no more people on her island hiding out who weren't supposed to be there. No sort of chaos and confusion. It was peaceful, calm... and the hurricane which had been being fed from her ever increasing agitation, anger, and other darker emotions had subsided into nothing more than a small storm.
Amaranth sat in the big white swivel chair in her lab, elbows resting on the arms of the thing and hands folded together in front of her. Her silvery gaze was on the ocean outside of the glass walls, watching various sea creatures swim past: some fish, an extremely large turtle, some more very colorful fish, even a shark swam by in the distance. It was peaceful in the lab, calm and quiet, and a great place to just take a moment to continue to relax.
Which.. she had been doing up until she realized that there were still several problems on the island left to take care of: the biggest being the zombiefied werewolves that had escaped from the "Toy" factory. Damn humans and their carelessness, opening things that shouldn't be opened. It was beginning to look like she was going to have to take care of the issue herself if someone didn't come along and do it soon. She'd been avoiding it, having already a decent bit on her plate to begin with, but if she had to she would, especially before any lives got taken by the bloody stupid beasts.
A sigh escaped her and she lifted her right hand, rubbing at her face in frustration. It was looking like she'd be the one needing a vacation soon... Niala was getting one, the girl had arrived shortly after Demitria and Nanalie had returned home. Not that she minded; Niala had been one of the very few people she'd given special permission to be allowed on her island. Hell, Demitria wasn't even a native, but she was allowed too simply because that was her moms best friend...
"Ugh... no wonder it gets stormy in Edge a lot.. Grandad must be trying to rip his hair out over all that frustration... I know I want to, and I don't have as much as he does to deal with...", she muttered softly.
