Enjoying the Sunset [Open][NR]

Ah, sunset. It had to be Amaranth's favorite time of the day on the island. Things were quieter now, most of the younger children having been taken off of the beach hours ago by their parents to be tucked into bed. The few stragglers that were hanging out weren't very loud, or much trouble. The sky was filled with all manner of colors, pinks, blues, yellows, golds. It was almost like something out of a painting - as it was meant to be. Every aspect of the island was controlled by Amaranth or her mother, which was the reason the temperature was always so perfect, the sky always so clear, and why sunset was always so beautiful.

Amaranth glanced down at the water, watching as it rushed up around her bare feet and then receded. Normally she wore boots even when on the beach, but today had changed up for bare feet, long white shorts, and a matching t-shirt that had the name of the island on it in multicolored lettering - yup, she self advertised. The only thing that had remained of her usual outfit was the cape that still billowed on the wind around her. Even her red hair, normally worn down, was braided up into a bun - it gave her the look of a tourist, if not for the cape - so, maybe a slightly insane tourist.

Arms folded across her chest as she watched the last remains of the sun slip down beneath the water in the far distance... or at least, that was the way it looked.

The Angel was quiet as he stood by Amaranth. Black hair was pulled back into a ponytail at the base of his neck, silver eyes watching the sunset. It was one of the few things in this world that calmed him down completely, driving back the voices that filled his head from time to time. He wasn't like his creator; he didnt have the expirence to be able to close himself from the madness for long periods of time. But, that was alright.

His left hand clutchd his new weapon by the edge of the barrel, a thumb brushing over the hilt. The sunset was beautiful to watch, peaceful. Taking a breath, the male released a sigh, turning slightly. "I... kinda want to go swimming."

A grin spread across Amaranth's face as she turned her head to look at her cousin with her silvery colored gaze. "Let's go!" Without further word she threw herself forward, running into the water until she was deep enough to dive headfirst into it and disappear - cape and all. Once under the water she kept going deeper until she was about ten feet under.

She sat herself down on the bottom of the ocean, watching several fish swim away in their haste to get out of the danger zone, or so they had perceived it. Every so often a single bubble or so would travel up to the surface, but Amaranth wasn't worried. Death by drowning wasn't in the list of things that could kill her.

From under the water she could see her underwater lab in the distance, several of her smaller and more cuter experiments wandering around, one even going so far as to walk up the bubble glass surface. A giggle escaped her and more bubbles rose to the surface. But, Amaranth didn't move. The water was comfortably warm, and peaceful feeling, and it dimmed the noisy sound of the humans from above - sounds that her sensitive hearing picked up even with them in their hotel rooms over in the resort area.

I watched the girl enter the water and I licked my lips. I strolled over to the water and walked right into it. I wasn't afraid of drowning. I thought I would grab the girl while I was under the water and keep her under until she passed out from the lack of air. I thought it was a great plan and it was what I was going to do. I walked towards her after I was fully under the water with a fangy grin on my face. I was very hungry.

"....But, but." Silver eyes looked down upon his attire; black jeans, a white T-shirt, and his jacket. Damnit, Amaranth. Hasty as usual. If she'd let him finish, he would have said that he didn't feel like changing so that he could go. Christ.


But, oh well. Flopping down onto the warm sand, the male yawned loudly, waiting. Perhaps she'd realize she was alone fairly quickly-- What was this? Some else going into the water? Nova tilted his head to the side; he was a bit twitchy that someone was near his cousin, even if she was in the ocean at the moment. And given what happened with Demi a while back? He was not going to chance Amaranth. As the persona stepped foot into the water, Silver eyes flickered violet for the briefest second, before begining to glow. As they did, in his mind, the male pictured Amaranth as she was, sitting in the water on the ocean floor.

It was a simple task to grasp her body via telekinesis, after sending her a reassuring mental nudge that it was him, and lift her from the ocean floor, up past the surface and into the air to bring her back to the beach. If she asked, he would explain. If he was wrong, he'd apologize, and let her get back to swimming with no problems...

Darkness Manipulation:

A man appeared from Amaranth's shadow. He had wild black hair and was wearing a large red cape, billowing in the winds. The man wore a white sleeveless shirt and green cargo pants. A pair of goggles were on his forehead.

Ghost had especially been on guard since Alec turned that one guy into a red stain. Someone was in the water with her. Someone else was on the beach too, and had used some strange ability to magically yank his child from the drink? Oh yes, he was going to investigate this.

So there he stood after having risen from his daughter's shadow, his arms folded. This kid sitting in the sand, he didn't know who he was, but that guy in the water.... He was bad news.

Amaranth felt the mental nudge just before her cousin began to lift her out of the water. A blink later and she felt her precognition kick in. It wasn't alerting her to any sort of danger via her cousin... but of the new arrival, a vampire by the glimpse she got of him before being placed back down on the beach. She stared at the water with a frown. "Thanks...", she muttered.

Air instantly wrapped around her form, gentle and yet serving its purpose at once: her clothing was completely dry, as was her hair, flesh, and cape. As soon as she was dry as if she had never entered the water in the first place the air vanished. "Wonder what the heck he wants...?", she muttered softly before becoming very aware of her father's appearance behind her.

Omnikinesis:

"Dad!", she said, turning slightly. "Hi dad..", then she paused, figuring she should introduce Nova before the wrong impression came around, "This is Nova Kane, my cousin... encase you didn't ever get a chance to meet him."

Her silvery gaze returned to the ocean, waiting for the male who had entered to turn around and come back out now that she wasn't in there any longer.

I walked out of the ocean after the girl. I stood on the beach and stared at her before I looked at the people with her. "I think you guys should leave the little girl alone. I have a present for her but its a secret and you guys can't see it. You should go away." I was still hungry and I was going to get my meal and this little girl was probably going to taste very good. "I wont hurt her I promise." I said.

Nova gave a brief nod to The Ghost before those silver eyes settled on the strange male. He could smell it clearly; vampire. The angel rose to his feet, head tipping to the side to release a loud cracking sound into the air as he listened to the his persona speak. He wasn't fooled; the hunger from this male was almost palpable.

"...." Calamity was in hand, awaiting to be released used. Nova didnt say anything for the moment; he was much of a talker in conflicts. He prefered being one called when negotiations were halted; when bosses had to die. He had no position of authority on Sugure, save for being -related- to to the boss. But that wouldnt stop him for acting as he saw fit.

Did the vampire think they were foolish? Hopefully not.

Nova Kane, huh? Was he another one of Alec's kids, or related to Alec somewhow? Confusing. He'd have to ask Amaranth or somebody about that later.

Right now though, his attention was on this guy who just walked out of the water, and asked him to go away so that he could give Amaranth a present."Sure thing. Walk off and leave my daughter in the clutches of some guy i've never seen before, just like that. Ok, see you guys later..."

Ghost made like he was about to leave, but turned back at the last second with a frown. "...Not. I don't know what kind of drugs you're on, I don't know who you are, I don't care honestly, but if you even THINK of trying anything with my child... actually, i'm not even gonna tell you, suck head. You go ahead and try it. Find out the hard way."

Ghost had been around enough Vampires in his life to know that this guy was one, and he knew that look in their eyes and their body language enough to know that this one was hungry, looking for a drink. Ghost heard about the incident in Edge City, and wondered if this guy was the same person involved in that one too. If he was, he was walking a fine line...

A giggle escaped Amaranth in a quirk burst, despite the situation, before she could stop herself. This guy must really have fallen far from the tree of intelligence - to think that two of her family members were just going to walk away and leave her there, alone, with him. Right. Not in this lifetime. She didn't say anything, however. She wasn't the type to talk shit, or to go back and forth with someone.

Either this guy was going to leave peacefully, or he was likely going to leave in pieces. Either worked for her. She just really was beginning to wonder where all these strange creepy type people were coming from. First that demon, then the vampire hunter, now this guy... It was really looking like it was time to kick everyone who didn't belong on her island, off.

I frowned at them all when I realized that they were not going to walk away and leave the little girl with me. I knew I had no choice but to take her by force and attack. I didn't hesitate any longer as I ran as fast as I could towards the little girl. "I will have her for my meal! I will drain every last drop of her blood out of her body!" I shouted. I was too hungry to care and to stop from what I was doing.

Silver eyes flickered violet as the male took his first step. Sure this leech was not that foolish, was he?

"I will have her for my meal! I will drain every last drop of her blood out of her body!"

Guess so. Guess it was playtime.

Calamity was released, the blade unsheathed from the barrel of the rifle, nicking the Nova's thumb as was drawn. Blood was smeared down the blade, instantly increasing the power of the weapon as Nova's aura became visible and flared. The cutting power of the weapon increased exponentialy, allowing him to cut through anything short of adamantium with ease.

The Angel vanished from his position beside Amaranth and closed the distance between him and the vampire in mere picoseconds, sword already in motion to cleave this foolish vampire. The strike was aimed at the male's hip, set to remove his left fucking leg right at the V of his groin.

Angel in yo fucking face:

Would this male be able to react in time? Possibly not; he was obviously blood crazed. Blood crazed vampires cared for nothing beyond thier next meal. No, this male probably wouldnt notice until he went to take the next step, and realized he left his leg and a testicle behind him. But then again, maybe this vampire would suprise him. Maybe' he'd get out of the way somehow....

The goggles of Ghost were slipped over his eyes upon realizing that this Vampire wasn't going to leave, determined to have his way with Amaranth. The words of the Vampire confirmed this, and just made Ghost frown more. Did this suck head realize what he'd gotten himself into? Apparently not. He thought of many ways to torture and maim this thing, all the while keeping him alive so he could experience pain.

Goggles:

But Nova went into action first. Ghost himself was curious to know what this other Kane could do; a Kane he'd never met and didn't know. Did he fight like Alec? Like Dez? Jr? Well... nobody fought quite like Jr did, but this, this would be interesting to see.

So for now, just in case this Vampire thought of running away, the very instant that Nova took off toward the Vampire, Ghost put an ability of his own into play. With a mere glance, Molecular Deceleration would go into play. This ability would only affect the intended target, leaving Nova and Amaranth to continue moving about unhinged. The Vampire, however, was pretty much fucked, unless it had some sort of ability to break out of the slow motion that it suddenly found itself in.

Molecular Deceleration:

Amaranth watched as the male charged straight for her while speaking of draining her dry: not that he would get that chance, as her cousin obviously made crystal clear as he charged towards the male... and attempted to cut his leg off? Oh boy, more blood for her beach. At least clean up would be pretty easy to deal with.

She kept her distance for now, not getting involved. There really was no point for it, or so she figured. With both her father and Nova there, and Nova looking as if he were going to chop the dude up into very tiny pieces... well, there really was nothing left for her to do, save stand back and enjoy the show.

I screamed as my leg was cut off, falling to the ground. I reached forward in an attempt to grab at the leg of the guy with the weapon so that I could knock him off balance. All I wanted to do was eat the little girl just like I wanted to eat the last little girl but these people just wouldn't go away and I was angry.

The leg was gone? Glorious.

A hand was reaching for him? It was almost comical, watching the vampire move in slow motion as Ghost's ability kicked into play. This was going to be fun. Calamity was lifted and swung again, this time, aiming to sever this dude's hand at the wrist as it reached for Nova. Dodging this? Highly unlikely.

But that would only be the be begining of this vampire's pain. He'd tried to take family away from Nova, something that really pissed him off. Before the male could even begin to fall properly, The angelic vampire tightened the grip on his sword and spun, swinging the sword with enough force and power that his winds became razor sharp, gouging out the earth and waters around him.


The next slice was aimed at this male's belly, the sword drawn through horizontally with the intent of severing this creature in half through the spine and abdomen. the winds off his body would render this creature before him cut, ripping open places that Nova didn't even aim for; his eyes would be slashed, throat cut open, his chest ripped open to display internal organs and the like. More likely, the arms and remaining legs would rendered useless, the muscule fibers destroyed by the passing winds...

The leg was gone, as was half of the nutsack. That had to suck. So he was flopping around down there like a fish. Nova was aiming to carve his ass like a Thanksgiving turkey, and Ghost aimed to further torture him. This thing had threatened his daughter, so it was going to feel pain.

Vampires didn't like fire, right? Conjuring fourth flames hot enough to melt steel; the process was child's play, basic magical/supernatural knowledge. The fire came from his opened left hand like a flamethrower to shower the Vampire's fresh wounds, cooking the raw flesh.

Pyrokinesis:

Ghost took care not to hit Nova with the fire. He increased the intensity of the flames until it looked like he was holding onto a jet engine. Should the fire touch the Vampire's raw flesh, he would quickly be cooked through until burned to ash. Ghost concentrated the flames toward the areas that were opened and bleeding by Nova.

Getting out of the way... at this point, with one leg? That wasn't happening. Ghost wasn't aiming to kill the creature, but to instead inflict extreme pain.

"Maybe you shoulda just ran when you had the chance, suck head..."

Amaranth only watched, she really had no reason to get involved: there was nothing she really felt like doing between the male being cut up and roasted. If he didn't start regenerating he was going to die soon, that was for sure... She just hoped the smell of blood and burning flesh didn't spread across the entire island.

"Well, this turned into some sort of macabre barbeque fast...I suppose that's what you get for trying to eat me."

Really, he should have just gone away while he had the chance. Now, unless he pulled off some sort of miracle, he was just going to suffer until allowed to die - or accidentally killed, depending on which ended up coming first. Maybe this was what was needed, though, a symbol of sorts for others to remember when they wanted to come around causing trouble: you cause trouble and you die, horribly, painfully, and as drawn out as could be.

I screamed louder as I was cut again and again and then lit on fire. I could feel my body trying to heal and regenerate itself despite the wounds being given to me. I waited until my arms were healed and my leg was mostly regrown before trying to crawl away to the ocean. I knew if I could make it to the ocean I could escape the fire, that was what I planned to do. "I was just hungry!" I yelled. "I'm sorry! Mercy!" I shouted.

Spoiler:

There was no healing these wounds. This male's regen would be slowed down to the point of being damn near non-existant by this point, given how many slashes he'd already sustained. He was going no where. "There is no running from this pain..."

Spoiler:

The sword was rotated and driven downward into the male, piercing his chest straight through the sternum and spine, out to pierce the sands beneath him. A barefoot was planted on the pommel of the sword, keeping it wedged in place.

"Mercy is for those who keep thier distance." Those violet eyes stared down at the male as hatred burned within them. This one wanted to be a vampire, and prey on the weak and defenseless? He would learn. Nova would teach him a valuable lesson; and the price would be his life. The hunter was about to become the hunted. The angel would smile, his own canines elongating to show off his own lineage, a mix of vampire and angel.

Nova's aura would flare up once more and divide itself; several long and thick tentacles, each with its own tiny mouth at the end would spring to life, waving around in the air before turning to focus themselves on the object of the angel's wrath.

"Feed"

The command was as much mental as it was verbal; the appendages dived down upon the body, invading it through the open wounds. Each mouth would snap and bite at portions of this male's veryt soul, pushing him to a fate worse than death...

Eating your soul:

Ghost grabbed a handful of the Vampire's hair, yanking backwards, causing it's body to be further injured, eaten and sliced up by the tentacles and the sword/gun that held it's body to the ground.

"You just tried to attack my daughter in front of me and now you expect mercy?"

Ghost would then slam the Vampire's head against the Earth viciously, making a BOOM sound that resembled thunder. The ground around them would vibrate from the tremendous impact, creating a large ripple of sand. The Vampire's entire face would be caved in if it wasn't killed on impact; it's brains scrambled like an egg at breakfast.

Wether or not it survived having it's head driven into the sand as it was didn't really matter to Ghost, he'd made his point. He picked up his daughter then and looked her over closely. She was probably stronger than he was, he knew that, but the fatherly instinct was in play, and he wanted to make sure she was fine. He kissed Amaranth on her forehead.

Amaranth only continued to watch. She had no reason to step in any longer - thinking that she would be highly surprised if Apollos wasn't dead after the latest amount of attacks launched against him. Really? How did one survive all of that, vampire or not?

As she watched, silvery gaze fixated on the violence, she found herself thinking that it was time to start 'taking out the trash' around the island. There were a lot of people on the island who were not paying customers, tourists, ect. It was as if they were simply there, hiding out, enjoying the benefits that the island offered. And frankly... she was tired of it. So, when this was over, and she was assuming it was going to be over fairly quickly, she was going to give notice for all of these so called 'visitors' to get off her island... or else.

Arms folded across her chest, cape billowing more in the wind... Until she was picked up and looked over. Despite the situation a giggle escaped her as she was kissed on the forehead. "I'm fine, really. Nova pulled me out of the ocean before the creepy dude could even get close." She smiled and giggled again. "But, I think it's time to start removing all these random people on my island... these attacks like from this guy are getting pathetic." Yup, everyone who wasn't a native of the island was getting a boot shoved up their buttocks one way or another.

There was no hope.

"No salvation, no forgiveness."

The tentacles invaded the vampire's body, stripping his soul from him bite by painful bite.

Nothing would save him; he was food, then hunder become the hunted. This would probably give him indigestion later; or else the shits. But at the very least, there would be nothing left of this guy. No, there was no return from having one's soul devoured...


As the appendages strippedd the last of the vampire's soul from his body; the corpse would suddenly ash; with no supernatural energy to sustain it, the body was as good as dust. With a frown, Nova would pull Calamity's blade from the ashes, and resheath it in the barrel of the rifle.

"Fucking pathetic."
