Ten thousand years ago a war broke out between the masses of Heaven and the masses of Hell. Destruction and chaos plagued the world casting it into darkness for over a thousand years. War, disease, and sin was rampant; and the punishment dealt out by those from Heaven itself was death.
Soon the fighting began to escalate. Demons possessed and used Humans as their own tools of war but were retaliated against when Angels began to create their own races. Soon race after race sprouted up; created to help one side or another in their battle for control. More violence ensued and more life was lost.
Then, one day, the fighting just ceased. Demons, for the most part returned to Hell, while Angels, except those who had fallen from grace during the battles, returned to Heaven. It would seem as if a tie of sorts had happened; or that both sides were taking a breather while preparing in secret for the next round of fighting that was to begin.. but when?
The world has changed a lot since there, Human and Race wars alike spreading across the planet and bringing with it all manner of diseases, sins, and new twisted and warped races. The world has changed from new to old to back again. Now, the modern age has arrived; and with it an abundance of technology that has made the world - once dangerous enough with weapons of old - even more dangerous.
The year is 2020 and once more the Heavens are beginning to stir and the presence of the Demons from Hell are showing up more and more... is this the end? Is the world about to be plagued by another war of Heaven and Hell? Are the innocent about to suffer far worse than what they have before due to the new technology available for this next battle?
The best question yet... who will survive?
The Story So Far
A lot of war and unrest has left many cities in shambles. New Vagas alone is completely without a center for control or operation. The amount of crime and death occurring on a regular basis is staggering and the unrest is only continuing to grow.
Little fights are beginning to break out and it's only a matter of time before a full scale civil war will envelope the city, and possibly cause several other cities to be dragged into the mess, too.
The newly created Sugure no Shima is under control of a peaceful and yet deadly leader - Amaranth Kane - who has already shown countless times that's she's not afraid to resort to violence to keep her little area on the map, and safe.
It's becoming known as a small island of peace and freedom - to where you can go without worry of what is to come so long as you keep the peace and obey the few laws actually written there. It's an island beginning to grow in strength with a strong backbone to keep it centered.
Though, the place has been rumored to have darkness hidden in the very heart of it - a darkness that keeps people in check and from acting out....
Edge, a large futuristic utopian playground was started and built from the ground up by the mysterious "Darkman," once a legendary bounty hunter. His experience and influence vast, he controls the entire metropolis from behind the scenes, having secluded himself completely from society, leaving his son Alec and various other family members to run things in his steed. Of the several families located throughout the city, Kane remains #1. A place where any thug or criminal, aware of Edge City's Laws, can climb the ranks and earn a place in "The Company," Darkman's exclusive organization if they're smart, or end up in jail or dead if stupid.
Shinkai Shigai is a massive and ancient city of white limstone, it's rule passed down from parent to child through out the generations, all while in secret the Mafia like organization, Himitsu Shuudan, has been ruling it from the shadows. Finally, one of the Shuudan members became the public as well as the secret leader of the white city. Though her four years of ruling she has brought public crime to a scraping halt, enforcing her strict beliefs and morals onto populace of the city. In the Abyssal City you can climb ranks the old fashioned hard working way, or, maybe you'll find some way into the Shuudan. Just don't break the laws.
Chapter 2
After a prank between a Malkavian and her friend, things turned deadly for those in Shinkai. A man from Edge City named Squall, returned to Shinkai and began to reign havoc in an attempt to get the Boss to reveal herself; who was still in Edge after having tried to solve the issues that had risen from the prank in the first place diplomatically.
Following the death and destruction caused by Squall in the absence of the Boss of Shinkai, a spirit of vengeance, known as Fukushu rose up and took matters into his own hands. He confronted Squall and after a brief fight he quickly dispatched of him; leaving him lying in the streets where he had fallen.
Following this Fukushu followed the Boss of Shinkai to Sugure no Shima, where she was training under another Boss. He forgave Himitsu, and even granted her a gift of power before disappearing out into the oceans.
Following this, random attacks began to happen on the beach shores of Sugure no Shima. One of these attacks was made by a demon, the Boss of what was Ground Zero. He ran off, causing Alec Kane (Amaranth's grandfather) to go and lay waste to what had been New Vegas, causing it to turn into nothing more than a wasteland.
One such attack resulted in the death of Demitria Crux King, the daughter of Maximillan King, wife of Flynn, and hit-man to the Company, Edge City's organization. Alec Kane, the Boss of Edge and the Company, came and dispatched of Cross quickly, and then resurrected Demitria. However, it had issues: she was brought back without many of her memories.
This caused an issue with her husband, whose race is so intertwined with their mates that his body began to threaten him with his own demise. Demitria quickly gained her memories back, after many stormy days in Edge, and was returned to her normal self. For a while things were happy, and therefore Demitria returned to Sugure no Shima.
During this time, a new female Boss began to rise up over in the wastelands of Ground Zero. She even raised up a castle, to leave it floating above the wastelands; where she sits and watches everything from.
Around this time a superhero revealed himself; The Vigilante. He went through Edge City, laying out devices to scramble his signal, before breaking into Murder INC HQ and hacking into Alec's files for his entire city and Company. He then began to look up information on each Company member, as well as those also living in the city.
Alec dispatched two people from Sugure, Flynn and a citizen known as Ryuukishi to go and capture him, and bring him back to Darkman Tower. However, they failed. Cala, another Malkavian went to go try her luck at capturing him. After a brief chase through Old Edge, and a few blown out windows, she convinced The Vigilante to return to Darkman Tower with her of his own free will. Something that, when Amaranth found out about the lethal looking actions of those of her island, caused her to become angered enough to cause the seas to boil, and a hurricane to threaten to engulf the island.
Around this time a guardian angel of Demitria King's showed up, and removed not only her memories of Flynn but her two daughters as well: as well as the girls DNA of Flynn's. Perhaps it was this, or something else, but following this Flynn was then found dead on Sugure no Shima by Amaranth, the Boss of the island; shortly after the sea and hurricane had calmed. She returned to Edge to tell of the bad news, only to be informed of all of the things that had happened recently: and the fact that now that the girls and Demitria didn't remember him it no longer mattered...
Now another superhero had shown up around Edge, a nameless man who no one has caught more than glimpse of, whose said to wear a gas mask across his face... Meanwhile, Shinkai's Boss has been reverted back to a child, given up reign over her city... and has now begun to live the comfortable life on Sugure no Shima...
Chapter Three
Following the arrival of this gas masked individual, as well as the stepping down of Shinkai Shingai's ruler a new face took over and renamed the city to Velo City. With Nova Kane taking over Velo City another masked stranger appeared around Edge City: an individual with a large V on his chest.
It quickly because apparent that this costumed masked individual, who the people began to call Vigilante, was a hero of sorts – quickly rising in popularity around Edge City. During this time the masked individual, who became known as Spook, was revealed to be another version of Alec Kane from a different dimension. The majority of the Kane family, and several other friends, were sucked off into this dimension for several years.
Upon return there was a new addition to the family as well as a new village brought over by the other world. With this new village came a new appointment to power: Junior Kane took over Edge while Alec Kane remained with the village that he brought from the other dimension. Shortly after the arrival of Makkura came the arrival of Konoha, yet another village from the other world – this one run by a female named Aisling.
Yet, this wasn't to be the end to the strangeness that reached the world.
A group of individuals bearing equal armed crosses arrived to cause havoc. Cala was kidnapped, brutally tortured, and through technology that should not belong in the world she was cured of her vampirism and reverted to a human. She was saved by Vigilante who was in rare form that day – utterly pissed off.
Shortly after the arrival of an alien came to this world too; a Saiyan bent on causing destruction and testing these earth 'weaklings'. Ka'lara and Vigilante were sent to Ground Zero by Junior to investigate, and ended up in a fight against the powerful Saiyan. They won, but barely, and returned to Edge. All three of them got stronger and yet another encounter happened, this one in Edge. Once more Ka'lara and Vigilante scraped by, and the alien dragged himself off to heal. The alien then headed to Sunset Isle, where he confronted the sibling of Ka'lara and beat him mercilessly before turning his sights onto Velo City.
At the same time an old Assassin made herself known in Edge; bringing with her a fountain of information about those who had kidnapped Company member Cala and tortured her; as well as what they were after – powerful artifacts that no hand should ever be able to touch. At the same time the alien got into a fight with yet another individual – this one over in Velo City, and the ending result was the destruction of the entire region.
