General Description:
Alter Ego Matt Black: Usually, he is seen wearing a purple Gengar hoodie with a black short sleeved T-shirt, a pair of dark grey cargo pants, and black Nike sneakers.

The Vigilante: He is outfitted from head to toe in a customized suit of his own making, complete with a specialized mask/helmet hybrid that conceals his identity, colored black with a red "V" across the chest. He wears a back pack to contain numerous gadgets, and to store his cape. Not one to go the usual Superhero route and be caught in public wearing tights, he wears a pair of green army pants, complete with a belt for tools and weapons.


History: Matt Black is your typical nerd-turned-Superhero story. The story of a puny weakling that was picked on by the bullies and taken advantage of by that pretty girl. All while growing up, Matt was in a class of his own when it came to intelligence. Far ahead of his time, he was the smartest kid in every class he was in, and his parents saw big things in his future. Matt often practiced Martial Arts since the age of 5, and had become very formidable in the way of defending himself, managing to collect several black belts. At the early age of 12, Matt was able to create his own version of A.I. in the form of small, microscopic self-replicating machines called "Nanoids."

Unfortunately, his mother, father and sister were killed in a terrible accident. Matt was never told the details of how they died and suddenly found his whole life turned upside down. He suffered long bouts of depression and sadness. Determination to find out what happened to his family eventually causes this grief to become anger. He begins to train himself extensively in the art of "Vigilantism." After injecting himself with his "Nanoids," A terrible thunderstorm brews in Edge City, (Caused by Alec Kane, unknown to Matt) and Matt, on his way home from school, is struck by lightning. Matt was hospitalized for an entire month, and legally died 3 times. He was resuscitated each time.

After being in a coma for most of a month, Matt awoke to find that his body was in peak physical condition, thanks to his "Nanoids" constant repair of his body while hospitalized. He snuck out of the hospital to find that he was capable of feats most humans could only dream of, and realized that he'd become a literal super human. The combination of lightning strike and Nanoids being within his bloodstream gave birth to a "Super Power" of sorts, causing the abilities of others around him to become useless when Matt faced any sort of danger. When he was released from the hospital, Matt went to live with Grandparents in the Suburbs of Edge. In the basement of the large family home, Matt created himself a makeshift laboratory and hideout, outfitting it with the latest technologies and ensuring that the location could not be detected by the latest scanners, satellites, or even by supernatural means, having included many of his Nanoids that negate supernatural abilities in the construction of the foundation of the house. Matt decided to take up another identity as a Vigilante and went to work upon a suit of full body armor. The process took 3 years, and in that time Matt was able to construct 2 of his special armor suits.

Matt could think of no other name to call himself but "The Vigilante." He told no one of his alias except his best friend "Stretch," and in turn Stretch, also a brain similar to Matt, decides to help his friend by keeping in constant contact with Matt while he traveled the world, being the "eyes in the back of his head." Armed with a specialized suit of armor, Nanoid machines that repaired his wounds and kept him healthy, years of Martial Arts training and his best friend watching his back,  The Vigilante sets out for answers...
