Happy Times [Nanalie, Flynn, or Invite][NR]

Eyelids drooped heavily as she slowly slipped into dreamland, fast asleep before her head even fully made it to her mother's shoulder as they walked. She had been fighting the sleep for far too long to keep winning the battle. Now that her family was safe, whole again, there was nothing left to distract her and keep her conscious. She snuggled her face into her mother's neck, arms draped loosely around her shoulders as she walked out of the park. Yup, safe and comfortable, and happy as could be.

"Leave Nanalie with Niala when we go to speak with him, then. Niala can make sure Nanalie doesn't hear any of that. It's... going to be rather unpleasant." He was assuming, of course; with how the man acted; there was no telling what would happen. He expected more yelling and fighting; or some sort of vitriol thrown his way. Why not; as far as he knew, Flynn walked off without a fight. It likely wouldn't matter either way; there was no point trying to make someone understand something they could never hope to. He was just too different from them; different from anything they had ever known. Conflicts and misunderstandings where inevitable.

Another night in the tower... he could handle it. At least there; it was quiet; and didn't reek as badly. He was not really happy with it; but she was right; it was better to spend one more night here and get it all over with then putting it off until it was that much worse.
