Someting... no EVERYTHING was wrong. He didn't know why; he cursed his inability to share telepathy like seemingly everyone around him. A sense of dread; a rare fear gripping his heart. Something had gone horribly wrong; he needed to go home. He needed to find them; he needed to find everyone. He'd fallen asleep for one of his long near-hibernation naps; and woken up in a cold sweat. His heart was racing; his mind was cloudy; stomach in his throat.
"Be okay Demi, Nana...."
And out of the suite they had been staying in; through a window and skydiving like he had wings. Something he'd watched his best friends do as teenagers; only they DID have wings; and he was likely going to sprain; if not shatter his legs doing this. Fuck pain. Out and running. The ground buckled and the shock wave easily leveled the buildings around where he landed; everything but the tower that was perfectly untouched. Yep... that was going to sting later; and he was actually stunned by the shock of the landing; but only for a few moments. After that he was racing as fast as he could; shifting into tiger form mid-step and moving as fast as four legs could take him: in his case he was shattering the sound barrier after 30 seconds of pushing his body to it's limits. Through the city and into the water; running so fast he was racing over it; not swimming; paws barely touching the surface; almost flying he moved so fast.
Sand under paw now; he was home and slowing down. He needed his nose to work; he had to find them.
Blood... familiar blo-... no.
No.
Fuckno.
Diverging trails. Blood one way; the scent of his daughter fleeing in fear the other. Fuckfuckfuck. A split second decision; he would have to trust Demi to her own power; he had to protect Nanalie. He had to.
He couldn't face the scent of that much blood yet.
