A small, fragile looking woman laid on her wide bed; the soft bed was covered by white sheets and a large fluffy white comforter to match the 'pure' pillow cases. That was with the exception of the pillow that Himitsu was lying her head upon. Unlike the rest this pillow had a huge splot of red were her head was. That was no tailor's mistake. The crimson red was blood, blood that Himitsu had coughed up during her fitful slumber.
Cracking a single pallid blue eye open, her body attempted to yawn, which only resulted in a horrid coughing fit. Each spasm of her respiratory muscles ejected more blood and small bits of lung tissue as she curled into a ball. It hurt... The pain was as if she had breathed in burning mist, her lungs stung, her wind pipe tingling with the sharpness of needle points. She couldn't breathe, but the coughing kept coming until it died down into pathetic wheezes. She she was finally allowed to partake of the air again she drew in several ragged gasping breaths. Big mistake. The heaving of her chest contracted her abdomen, causing her to gag as she sat up. A hand clamped down over her mouth as she threw herself off of the bed, running to her bathroom.
And there she sat on her knees, on the cold stone floor, retching her guts into the toilet as she held her long hair back away from her face. Her blood pressure went through the roof, the only thing she could hear was a low and dull 'whooooomm' noise in her ears. Her face was growing red and uncomfortably hot as she trembled. She had started crying sometime while purging, salty clear tears running over her thin cheeks. By now she was dry heaving as she sat there, ears ringing, tongue lolling as she panted, her lungs gasping in attempt to drag in the oxygen she so desperately needed. She let out a soft pained whine; everything hurt, even thinking, blinking or glancing over at something.
After a few seconds she pushed herself up off of the floor, flushing the bloody toilet water before standing unsteadily as she reached to the sink and grabbed several pill bottles, opening them all swiftly. The only thing keeping her standing at the current moment was because she was drawing upon energy from a few workers a couple of floors beneath her. Pulling out the pills needed Himitsu grabbed for a little paper cup and filled it with water from the sink faucet. She dropped the medicine on her tongue and swallowed them all down in a single gulp of water. Her face scrunched up as she hissed with pain; her throat was raw and torn from the constant spasms of coughing she suffered from.
As she turned to walk out of the door she caught a bit of her reflection in the mirror. I was once beautiful. She thought. I used to be pretty... People used to call me a jewel... Her face twisted in contempt at herself. Look at yourself now Himitsu... You're ugly, undesirable... a retched sickly hag that chooses to die slowly, only to prolong everyone else's torture of having to put up with you. Her reflection was talking to her now... Telling her things that once would have scared and upset her, but now seemed comforting. Why don't you just end all of your pain? Throw yourself out of a window? Fall on Ingrid, haha... I'm sure Err'nuk would like to feel your blood on the blade.
Why don't I?
She thought over it for a second... Sickly contemplating jumping out of a window. But no... Who would take care of her city? Who would keep her destructive family in line? No one. No one would, and her city, everything that she had worked for would collapse... The safe haven she had constructed would all be for nothing without her to lead it. She glared at her reflection. "I'm not going to die that easily."
Turning she walked out of the bathroom, going to her closet and selecting a white, sleeveless and open backed dress. Donning it she pulled on long black leggings and her boots. Reaching up she grabbed her two black arm warmers and slipped those on. She wasn't in the mood to be elaborate today, she wasn't going to wear anything fancy.
Walking out of her private quarters she entered her office; it's overly large white desk sitting with it's white chair's back to the large window. Walking to the window she took in the view, it was beautiful. Her office was on the highest floor, some four hundred and ninety-two stories up. The sunlight was just starting to paint the sky a gorgeous pink, her pure city's streets coming to life with the hussle of the early morning commuters. Her city was her baby, her citizens something she was bound to protect. She smiled softly; it was as much as her pale thinned out lips could manage. No rainbows to be seen, no Demitrias to be felt...
Fucking A.
She had spoken to soon. As soon as her hopes had gone up she felt Demitria step into the city, and now of all things? She had a friend along for the ride. Joy. Joysex. Joyfuckingsex. She turned from the window, folding her arms behind her back and glaring at her desk. "What are you going to do today Demitria?"
And then she felt the energy of some great beast enter the dimension. She turned around to look out of her window faster than most humans could blink. The sight at which she saw sickened her... Igniting a burning passionate inferno of rage as she watched the huge dog swat aside her citizens. No body... No one came into her city unprovoked and incited terror and death on her people. Had Alec Kane decided to start a war with her? Why would he do that? She had not done anything to his city or his people. Hell, she even fucking tolerated the constant harassment that Demitria put her through with the damn rainbow vandalism!
And then suddenly they left... That was of course after a loud echoing voice summoned them back to the city.
Well...
She was going to have a word with Alec Kane about this. She needed to know what the fuck just happened.
Strapping Ingrid and Blasphemy to her waist she donned the entire set of Callous onto her fingers; best be prepared to put up her best fight if he was going to attack her on sight. Across the ocean she went, on Re'yoak's back. FLYING WITH STYLE.
Soon she was at the edge of Edge City, stepping off of Re's back she walked in.
