| Name: Calamity Type: Weapon: Riflejatō (Rifle + Sword) Rank: RM, MP, PC Description: It appears to be a fusion between a rifle and a traditional Japanese ninjatō. The rifle serves as a sheath for the ninjatō, and the ninjatō itself can be shot out hilt first from the barrel. When the ninjatō is unsheathed, the rifle's stock becomes more angular and shortens in length, holding more resemblance to an actual rifle. The blade is red and is roughly average in length. The rifle's lock and barrel is gray while the stock is a dark red. The stock itself is rather long when compared to the barrel and lock. As the ninjatō covers and blocks the barrel of the rifle, it is unable to fire normally, unless it has been unsheathed. Although small and lightweight, the rifle component is capable of automatic fire, and the sword is wielded in tandem with the sword, or Iaido style (quickly drawing the sword for a strike and then sheathing it again). The range of the rifle is debatable; while as any rifle it can fire at a distance, though it is usually fired from point blank. Abilities: Sacrificial Strike -- By smearing his blood on the barrel of the rifle or blade, Squall is able to imbue the weapon with magic in order to increase the effectiveness of his attacks. A shot from the rifle will result in all attributes of the round being increased by 100% (Speed, rotation, and wound size. A scatter shot would result in more of the 'shot' being released). For the ninjatō, this would mean that the blade's sharpness is increased, wounds caused by the sword bleed more profusely, as well as heal slower (even those with enhanced healing will suffer from this as well). Longbow Mode: This mode was created to turn the Riflejato into the perfect Sniper's rifle. What the Longbow mode does is very simple: When a round is released from the chamber with the mode active, the round is teleported the moment it leaves the barrel to within six inches of the intended target. One the round reappears, it continues on as if nothing had happened, moving that the speed that it would have upon exiting the barrel. - Ammunition:
Name: Normal Rounds Description: This the normal varietly of ammo that the Calamity fires. It consists of standard ammunition, hollow points, and such.
Name: Mortal Rounds Description: This light grey colored ammunition has a unique purpose. When connecting with the target, or even grazing it, this round releases a special invasisive magic that suppresses all magical abilities that a person has; rendering them completely 'mortal'. For non-mortal beings, this can have devastating consequenses; Magical Beings, unless ascended from Human, will be utterly destroyed, thier magic suppressed to the point of thier death. Vampires and ghouls will be stripped of thier supernatural abilities, and rendered dead; with no supernatural power to support them, the bodies will crumble away to ashes. Werewolves, when shot, will revert back to human form. Depending on where they were shot, they may still die from the wound. Angels, Fallen Angels and Demons's bodies would disperse, unable to be brough back together as thier energy is being suppressed to the point of death. For Dragons.. this round is a bit tricky. While 90% of the time, the round will not pierce the dragon's skin, the suppression effect will still go into play; suppressing all magic-based abilities the dragon may possess, leaving them with only thier 'natural' abilities (Elemental breaths, powered flight, ect) For ghosts, this round is tricky as well. Seeing as a ghost is already 'dead', this shot will only scatter thier essense for a period of time, banishing thier conciousness from the plane of the living back to one of the dead planes.
For any being that is affected by these rounds, you cannot gain back your abilities, nor will new ones take hold to you at all. You being is essentially a closed circut to magic, one that can never be fixed.
