Research and Preparation [Open][NR]

The Attack Ball came down out of the sky resembling a comet, impacting a city street and leveling the area that encompassed 5 city blocks. Buildings were crumbled, people were reduced to ash. A huge hole was blown into the ground.

The smoke from the explosion could be seen for miles. Things were on fire. The screams from people could be heard clearly, but it all mattered not to Kyuuri. The door of the attack pod opened, and out he floated.

It looked like the typical modern city on this world. Tall buildings. Vehicles. Women and children. A happy little scene disrupted by the arrival of the Saiyan. People stood around the crater he created and stared weirdly in his direction, but he didn't care for stares. These people, they were all weak. Their levels of ki were pathetic. None of them would put up a good fight; it would only take one punch to turn them into pulp.

He'd destroyed countless worlds with people such as these, but for all of their failings and delicate weaknesses, it appeared that they were technologically advanced. Kyuuri would have to find somewhere where he could access data. With the sounds of fire trucks approaching, people watched this tailed kid begin flying deeper into the metropolis...

It took Kyuuri a while of searching. Many of the inhabitants of this city looked at him strangely, probably because of what he was wearing, probably because of his tail, or probably because of the fact that he was floating above the ground.

There were billboards in the city. Some of them had pictures of that costumed clown on them. A ki blast from either hand destroyed the billboards in his rage. So that clown is famous here? He's a hero?

It took a while, but he found what was an internet cafe, somewhere filled with computers. He entered, to the many wide eyed stares of patrons. A man was sitting behind a desk near a cash register looking just like everyone else did. Kyuuri approached him.

"You. Weak life form. If you understand my tongue, explain to me who the costumed clown is; the clown that has large pictures of himself around this city."

"Uh... you mean The Vigilante?" asked the teller. Kyuuri looked around. Someone had a picture of him on their laptop at that moment, and Kyuuri went and snatched it up, creating a protest. Kyuuri shoved the screen into the teller's face.

"Yes! Him! Who is he!? Tell me, now!"

"Uh, yeah, he's-he's a super hero from Edge City! Nobody knows who he really is. he beats up criminals and bad guys, and he works for The Company."

"The Company? Explain more."

"Well uh... I-I can just bring it up and you can read for yourself..." the teller reached around and brought up a screen on The Company and some of it's members. The computer was simple enough to work, and after several moments Kyuuri got the hang of using it. The owner of the computer argued, but Kyuuri dispersed him with a ki blast without even looking. This caused everyone in the internet cafe to go running out, even the teller, at such a display.

The Company is a large corporation based in Edge City, founded by a mysterious individual named Darkman. It is ran out of the infamous "Darkman Tower," the largest building in the city, standing 1,000 stories. The Company is mainly responsible for the running of the city, and it's members intervene on matters that are out of the hands of the local law enforcement. The Company was first ran by Darkman, before he passed it on to his son, Alec Kane. Alec ran The Company for years, and the he passed it to his son, the current Boss of the city, Alec Kane Junior (Or just Jr.)

The Company is well known for it's variety of strange and supernatural members. Some of them are said to be able to perform feats that defy logic, time and space. Darkman is said to have built Edge City with his bare hands. Alec, nicknamed "The Psychotic Gunman," is said to have a gun able to destroy an entire city in one shot, and is suspected to have been behind the destruction of the one time tourist attraction called New Vegas, now dubbed Ground Zero. His son Jr is said to be able to manipulate time itself. Some claim he once "rewound" a person into a baby, and "fast forwarded" another into a senior citizen. Others say he tore apart a man with his bare hands, pulled swords out of thin air, and even punched a person so hard that they exploded.

The famous super hero called "The Vigilante" is a member of The Company. Not much is known about him. he uses a high tech suit composed of unknown ingredients to aid him in fighting crime. It is said that no supernatural powers will work on him. He is rumored to be a genius in the field of inventions, and uses these inventions in conjunction with his suit in his fight against crime.


...He was the only target. None of the others mattered. He'd suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of this Vigilante, and Kyuuri would return the favor two fold.

Kyuuri did more research. The planet he was on was called Earth. The inhabitants here were called Humans. The majority of them were weak and powerless. They had to rely on weapons called Guns, and machinery such as tanks, helicopters, and jets. These Humans had waged wars in the past, having to rely on experimental weaponry.

Yet some of these Humans were extraordinary. Some of them could perform feats that most could only conceive within their imaginations. This Vigilante had to be one of these extraordinary people.

Neutral City law enforcement entered the internet cafe with guns drawn. "...This really him?... But he's just a little guy..." one of them said, causing Kyuuri to look at him with evil eyes. The cop seemed to be rattled.

"Who cares. He's the one that caused that big mess 5 blocks over. 15 people were killed. This kid is a murderer. Alright kid, drop the computer and get down on your knees," said the other cop, pointing his gun in the kid's direction.

"And if I don't, weakling?" Kyuuri responded. "Will you shoot me with your puny gun? Having to rely on such a pathetic weapon, outrageous."

"This kid is nuts..." said the first cop.

"Drop the laptop! On you knees, now!" said the second.

Kyuuri dropped the laptop, then turned to face the two cops. "There. I dropped it... but if you think i'll kneel to a member of a weak, inferior race, you must be insane. So shoot me if you will. It will make little difference, as you will see..."

The two cops looked unsure. Kyuuri stated walking towards them. The second more serious cop yelled for him to stop, which he didn't. The second cop fired at Kyuuri, and the bullet had no effect.

People outside saw the front of the internet cafe explode, and two bodies come flying out of the smoke to become stains on the building across the street. Kyuuri floated on, towards the next destination. the smell of food entered his nose, and it suddenly occurred to him that it had been quite a while since he'd eaten something...

Kyuuri followed his nose the the restaurant in question. He pushed his way past the cashiers that would show him to a table and went right for the food. People watched him began to stuff his face. He wolfed pounds of food into his face, leaving people to wonder where it all went.

Chefs came out asking Kyuuri how he was going to pay for it all, and pay them he did, with Ki blasts. Panic spread in the restaurant, and soon it was just Kyuuri and the food. He'd learned about the currency on this world, so after eating them dry, he robbed the cash register.

Outside, there were many cops dressed in body armor pointing automatic weapons at him. kyuuri began to move so swiftly that it looked as if there were multiple copies of him, confusing the primitive and powerless humans. The distraction mad it too easy to position himself above the cops and send a large blast of Ki down upon them. The resulting explosion killed the majority of the law enforcement.

Realizing that he'd devised a new technique by accident, Kyuuri thought that perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to devise something else. Vigilante was able to become stronger and faster in an instant, even with the beating he'd put on him. Kyuuri took that knowledge and knew that he had to come up with something similar. Simply powering up wouldn't do; in another fight against him, or that female, Kyuuri knew they wouldn't give him the time to do so.

He flew to the roof of one of the tallest buildings, knowng he had to double, or even triple his power in an instant. Raising his powers to dramatic levels caused some of the buildings to fall in the resulting quakes the followed. Pandemonium spread throughout the city. Helicopters hovered around the building upon which Kyuuri stood, recording what he was doing on cameras.

It was only through much practice that Kyuuri taught himself how to multiply his ki several times, rather than just simply powering up. His aura became blood red when amplifying his ki, bathing the area around him crimson. Going too far with this new technique put a considerable amount of strain onto him, but this was a risk he was willing to take.

With this card in his hand, Kyuuri, an evil grin on his face, knew the next time he'd be victorious surely. He found that he could pretty easily multiply his ki - according to his calculations - x10, but anything beyond put serious strain upon his body. So, anything beyond x10 would have to be used in times of desperate measures. Kyuuri didn't plan on letting the second fight drag on that far.

As a small test, Kyuuri blasted himself towards the helicopters hovering about the building he was standing on. It took less than a second to punch all 4 helicopters and send them crashing towards the ground. There was the loud sound of laughter amongst the explosion of the helicopters crashing and burning.

"The next time we meet, you costumed freak, i'll send you into the next world. Mark my words..."

The national guard was called in next. Army trucks and tanks rolled through the streets. Attack choppers and jets roamed the skies. Kyuuri thought of heading to Edge City to draw out The Vigilante, but smashing these puny humans and their toys they had to rely on so much?... perhaps this would make for more training. Better to be as strong as possible when the time came.

"Come then, humans... bring all of your best toys for me."

Jets began to rain from the skies, as did the helicopters. They fired bullets and missiles at the flying kid, but it was pointless. Metal was torn apart with bare hands. Pilots were ripped from the cockpits and beaten mercilessly in mid-air. Unfortunate pedestrians who were in the wrong place at the wrong time on the ground were crushed under burning metal.

On the ground, Tanks were picked up and thrown; some of them lodged into the sides of buildings. Some of them were ripped open and their driver pulled out of them - just like the jets and helicopters - to be beaten within inches of their lives. Many uniformed officers and army personnel were firing automatic weapons at Kyuuri while other evacuated innocents, but it was all useless.

"Laughable! Is this the best you weaklings can do!? Having to rely on these useless toys?? HAAA HAHAHAHAAA!!"

He began to slaughter them one by one. Some of them were blown apart just from a punch or a kick. Others were tortured; played with. Some were thrown for miles, just for the amusement of seeing them land broken, or turned into a red stain. The war machines turned out to be useless, as he kept spouting over and over, so next came the experimental weaponry...

Walking robots, piloted by men. They had 5 foot swords and lasers for weapons. By the time they arrived, all of the innocents had been evacuated from the streets, and the area that Kyuuri was in resembled a warzone. Jets, tanks, and helicopters were in pieces and on fire; some lodged into the sides of sky scrapers. Dead bodies coated the streets with their crimson innards.

The robots were faster than they looked, but not fast enough. At first, all Kyuuri did was merely avoid them. They'd began to do more damage with the lasers than even Kyuuri did by himself. In the end, the legs were torn off of one. Another was impaled upon it's own sword, pilot and all, another was thrown sky high to land and crush the pilot within. Another had his own laser turned against them.

"You weaklings make a good snack before the main course!"

Kyuuri pushed himself high into the air all of a sudden. He grew tired of bothering with these humans, as they provided no challenge. Even with all of their fantastic toys and machines, it was as if tearing through something as weak as paper.

No... his desires lie elsewhere. He felt far stronger than he was when he first encountered the costumed man. He felt with whatever power up he used to defeat him so quickly, it wouldn't matter now. He even felt as if he'd become the Super Saiyan of legend...

"Wait for me, clown... you time is coming, sooner than you think. Rest while you can... prepare for the arrival of the Saiyan..."

More choppers and jets were coming, even with how easily he trashed the last batch. They would make for more practice, more examples. Kyuuri matched the speed of the jets, and dove through their steel bodies, ripping through their metal innards. Every jet that was attacked fell out of the sky, their pilots ejecting beforehand. That made things worse, for every pilot that bailed was beaten violently in mid-air. Their parachutes carried their broken, unconscious and dead bodies to random areas of this city, that is, the parachutes that managed to open. Other pilots fell miles to become stains upon hard concrete.

Helicopters were treated in a similar fashion, having their metal insides torn and ripped from their innards. Pilots were yanked from cockpits to be punched, kicked, and ki blasted. The shells of the war machines fell from the skies to further clutter the city streets below.

In the end, it looked as if the humans were finally wising up, and pulling out. There just was no stopping this kid, whoever or whatever he was.

Finally, Kyuuri began to find this city boring. He craved more. Feeling that his strength was at a sufficient level to handle The Vigilante, an evil grin crossed his lips as his aura appeared surrounding him. It was so powerful at this point that dust clouds could be seen rising in the streets.

There were those humans that were keeping their distance while recording what was happening with various devices: camcorders and cellphones for example. So Kyuuri figured people were watching. Perhaps Vigilante was too. Kyuuri hoped he'd gotten himself an eye full.

Kyuuri had studied a map of this world. He memorized it, and knew which direction Edge City was in, but mostly because of the large concentration of Ki signatures. With that many gathered together, and with what he'd read on that computer, it had to be the place.

Kyuuri began to laugh as he suddenly blasted off, speeding upwards and away from Neutral City, headed in the direction of Edge, home of The Company, and future grave site of The Vigilante...
