Building Wolfenstein 2.0 [NR][Open]

Devon didn't know what was going on when it came to Vigilante getting Cala back, but she was doing her best to distract herself as she stood over her work desk within the R&D department of Darkman Tower. She wanted to be out there too, fighting to get her sister back, causing those who took her to suffer: but Cala hadn't wanted that, and she doubted she would make it out of Darkman Tower to go sneaking off to help if she even tried.

So instead she had focused her attention on the smaller Wolfenstein she had been attempted to create. The shell of it had been easy enough to create - though it still needed tested out to ensure it could withstand the damage she wanted it to be able to take - but the finer mechinisms were where she was struggling. She wanted it to be able to do everything from regulate the temperature within the suit to be able to become activated at the first signs of stress. The band on her arm that she had created to connect herself to the large Wolfenstein had helped with the idea somewhat, but she was still struggling with how to make it to where the suit was only there when needed...

Surely someone couldn't wander around with something like that on, and hiding it underneath clothes wasn't going to be an easy task. Despite the suits 'slim' design it was still somewhat bulky, and that would definitely stick out.

Her large Wolfenstein was seated nearby her, watching what she was doing with the sort of intelligence that could baffle the mind of someone not expecting it.

Devon was leaned over her table, several pieces of unfinished motherboards littering the space immediately in front of her. Stray wires were sticking out all over the place, some of which were connected and some which were not. Devon had her tongue between her lips as she used a very miniature soldering gun to attach a purple colored wire to the mother-board closest to her.

As the wire was fully attached a small bulb at the edge lit up and she moved the gun away before she could melt anything else. The motherboard was inserted into the suit that lay on the table behind her, and a series of soft beeps could be heard as that drive was loaded into the 'machine' itself.

As she turned back against to repeat the process with the next one she couldn't help but glance up and look out the window. Where was Vigilante? Where was Cala? Where they alright? She reached over and grabbed a remote control off of the table next to her and pointed it at the TV while pressing the Power button. The flat screen that hung from the wall turned on and she changed it to the news channel. Surely if something big was going down someone would have heard about it by now, right?

She turned back to her project at hand while keeping an ear on the news as the introduction music began to play...

Devon continued to tinker with the boards, fixing one after the other as she placed them into the smaller version of Wolfenstein. Her giant robot watched her, his head moving as it followed her every movement. Both Devon and Wolfenstein looked up at the television as a news report came on about some seriously devastating destruction hitting a building somewhere in Edge.

From what they could see from the video that had been taken and turned over to the news station bodies were flying out through walls and windows, glass was flying everywhere, and it looked almost like bombs were going off... but Devon had an inkling that that wasn't bombs at all, but a very pissed off superhero.

Devon closed up the miniature Wolfenstein while continuing to listen to the reporter go on about how the police had just arrived on the scene to try and sort the mess out. Devon could only shake her head. She then turned her focus back onto Wolfenstein junior as she locked the clasps into place. The suit was still too bulky and she would definitely have to figure something out when it came to that. But, that could wait... she still had to test the thing out and she had no interest in doing that until she knew her sister was home safe and sound, as was Vigilante.
