15 floors of ass kicking [NR]

The Templar Leader knew he was going to die. He could tell just by the way Vigilante walked towards him. His words had fallen on deaf ears. He had fucked up, had put himself into this position, and now he was going to have to face the consequences. He was attacked again, and it felt like he was being attacked over and over again. Maybe it was only once, maybe it was oven a dozen times, he didn't know. All he did know was that he was broken afterwards.

Before he was sent flying into the helicopter he said the last thing that came to his mind, "Someone else will just replace me."

Then he was sent to stick to the side of the helicopter which went down and crashed. He and everyone else was dead, leaving Vigilante free to get the girl.

-Exiting the Thread.-

Cala watched as Vigilante ignored the man's attempt at making a deal with him. Nothing was going to apparently stop Vigilante from seeking revenge on the man for what he had done to Cala, and she wasn't going to complain. Knowing that the man was dead would make closing her eyes at night that much more easier, after all. She watched in detail on the monitors as Vigilante struck the man with a powerful attack before sending him flying into the helicopter where he stuck due to some sort of sticky substance that Vigilante had fired at him. The helicopter's blades were unable to spin which caused a course of problems for the helicopter which ended in the thing crashing in such a way that she was damn sure no one would be able to survive.

With shaking legs she took steps forward, attempting to get her way to the stairwell that would lead up to Vigilante. "V?", she called out. She doubted anyone would attempt to mess with her. If there were any goons left alive they were attempting to get out, ignoring her completely. They'd have no intentions of ending up like their boss.

She reached the stairwell and looked up at the stairs that separated her from Vigilante. Did she really have the strength left to get up all of those? Her body ached and hurt in every place imaginable, and while her breathing was settled and normal her heart was still in over-drive as if it didn't know what in the world had happened. She figured the latter issue was likely do the adrenaline rush that was keeping her standing, even if her legs kept shaking beneath her. She took another few steps forward: she wanted out of this hell hole, especially because she had a feeling that with all of the shaking and the damage that had been done it probably wasn't the most stable building around.

"Someone else will just replace me."

Then, that would get dealt with when the time came. This guy was dead, and the remaining assholes, seeing their leader killed in that fashion, were just trying to get the hell out of this hell.

There wasn't any time left to be wasting. Vigilante was quickly into the stairwell and grabbing up Cala, before blasting back up the stairs and up away from the building. His holo-computer was beeping, letting him know that his "Super Mode" was almost up. Any further than the allotted time would strain the systems, and possibly due V serious harm.

So he pushed as much power into his jets as he could, and tried to get as close to Darkman Tower as he could before the suit failed...

Cala held onto Vigilante tight and closed her eyes against the rush of air as they moved away from the horrible building. She didn't glance back at it, she didn't want any sort of reminder of what that place looked like or even where it was. If she never saw that place again it would be too soon.

She figured that V was heading them towards Darkman Tower and couldn't help but wonder how much longer this enhanced version of him would last. Was it something he could turn on and off? And would it take a toll on him? She could still remember what had happened the last time she had been kidnapped, and how he had had to take some time to recover. Would that happen here? She planned on sticking close to him regardless.

"I'm so sorry for everyone... Thank you for getting me out of that hell hole. I love you.", she said softly, not knowing if he'd be able to hear her above the rushing of wind, but knowing she didn't have the strength to be any louder than that.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

The glow faded out. Vigilante could force it back on at that point, but it would be bad. The whine of the systems at maximum output died out, and he returned to normal all of a sudden.

The speed at which they were traveling began to slow down, and Vigilante couldn't keep them in the air.

"Oh...shit... i'm...outta time!..."

Vigilante started to fall. If Cala got even more hurt because of him, he would never forgive himself. His vision started to blur, and extreme exhaustion over took his body. There wasn't going to be anything he could do to avoid crashing, but the last thing he could do before losing consciousness is to make sure that Cala was safe.

He suddenly tossed her airborne as they neared the ground. He turned himself over and used his devices to spray a makeshift "Hammock" for Cala to be caught in. He used up his last bit of energy as the exhaustion completely over took him. With Cala safe, and somebody in the tower most likely watching on those cameras, he grinned and hoped that he didn't make much of a mess when he landed...

[Unconscious]

As she heard a strange and sudden beeping noise her eyes opened and she heard V state that he was out of time. Out of time? For what? She had a feeling that whatever was about to happen was going to be bad. They stopped moving as fast as they had been and then began to fall.

Then Vigilante was tossing her into the air and a hammock made out of that sticky substance he had been using on the goons and Leader caught her. However, V continued to fall. "V!", she screamed, but she had a feeling he was no longer conscious. Someone up in that tower had to be watching... someone had to be able to be fast enough to catch him before he fell.

She couldn't do it anymore, she couldn't fly or use abilities, and felt utterly helpless as she watched him speed towards the ground where he would splat just like many of those goons had done if he wasn't saved.

"KAGE BUSHIN NO JUTSU"

Two Jr's arrived on the scene in the blink of an eye. One of them, the clone, sped in and grabbed the falling unconscious Vigilante before he landed in the middle of traffic.

Shadow Clone Technique:

The actual Jr moved closer to Cala in the Hammock thing. He looked it over with a curious expression, his big white wings flapping up and down to keep him airborne. "Huh... interesting," Jr said, touching the stuff. It was sticky and felt slimy. Jr rewinded the stuff back to it's base ingredients and grabbed Cala before she fell. While holding Cala in what was more or less a hug, Jr also used his time powers to rewind Cala's injuries back to the point when she was first kidnapped. All of her injuries and scars would disappear, and she would be returned to normal. He touched that thing around her neck and fast forwarded it until it rusted and fell off. By then, Jr's clone, who had Vigilante in his arms, flew up to meet them.

Time Manipulation:

"I was wondering what he was doing when he went back home those 2 days. It looks like he went and made a new suit! This guy is something else to have built something this complex in just two days. To think it was all because of that incident in the office!"

Cala jumped in a startled manner as she heard Junior shout, and she looked over in his direction - or rather the clone that had appeared and caught Vigilante before he hit the road. She then looked to the Junior in front of her, having absolutely no idea which was actually the real Junior. She watched as Junior touched the wet and sticky substance of the hammock before doing something that caused it to become the base components it was made out of which allowed her to be freed. Junior caught her before she fell and held her while using his ability to manipulate time to rewind her.

All of the bruises, cuts, scrapes, and fractured ribs were reversed to the point to where she was completely healed. He also caused the collar that had been around her neck to rust to the point to where it fell off, freeing her completely. "Just... don't give me back my powers.", she said while he did all of this. "I never had any intentions of being a vampire in the first place, and don't want to go back to being one."

She really thought it was for the best. A lot of the 'bad things' that had happened to her in her life had revolved one way or another around her Vampire nature. If it wasn't for the Malkavian mind frame it was because of some ability or something that went along with it. Her powers had almost cost her Vigilante because she had disappeared for those five years, and then screwed things up because she had thought he would be angry with her for her disappearing act. No, she had no intentions of having those powers back, even if it meant she was an ordinary human: that's what she had been when she was born, and she saw nothing wrong with it.

She looked back to Vigilante while wincing at the memory of what had happened in the office, knowing he was likely still unconscious. "I hope he's okay... I won't forgive myself if he's not."

The two Jrs were flapping their wings, keeping all of them in the air. There were several traffic accidents below them from people watching. other people were standing on the sidewalks, pointing up at them. Some of them were taking pictures with their phones.

"Hunh, I thought there was something different about you. So that stuff that idiot injected you with, it really took away your Vampirism huh?... And you don't want it back. You're starting to sound like my pops; he asked my Grand dad to seal away most of his powers because he was tired of feeling godly...."

The Jrs started flying back toward Darkman Tower. "He's still alive," said Jr's clone. "I can feel him breathing."

"He's never moved that fast before," said the actual Jr. "This new suit of his must be an advanced version of his old one, which gives him double the strength and speed... if only temporary. Looks like it comes with a heavy drawback: it wears him out when it reaches his limit. This guy is really something else! it's a shame I can't read his mind to see what he's thinking... That sticky white stuff he was using to stick people to the walls must be something new he made too. He really came prepared to rescue you Cala, you should be thankful."

Cala listened as Junior explained that she sounded like Alec, and how Alec had had his father seal away his powers because he was tired of feeling godly: it was something she definitely could relate to. Nothing good ever seemed to come from having godly powers, or at least not for her, so she didn't have any intentions of allowing anyone to give them back. If someone did, she too would likely try and find a way to seal them off, but she didn't see anyone doing that if she didn't want them to.

When she heard that Vigilante was still alive, that the clone of Junior could feel him breathing, she let out a sigh of relief. "I was watching him on the monitors in that hell hole while that bastard kept trying to hurt me... V was a beast in there. I have a feeling it might be a tit for tat situation, so he might be out for a while."

Cala then nodded her head. "I'm very thankful.. more than I can ever say.", she added. She really did owe Vigilante her life now. She had owed him before when he fought through that building of Xan's back when she had allowed herself to get kidnapped, but now he had fought through fifteen floors of goons while her life truly was in danger... no words could express how that made her feel. "When we get back to the tower I'm going to keep my eye on him, make sure he's alright. Does my sister know about any of this?"

"Yeah... she walked in right in the middle of us watching that video. I think she was down in R&D building something to rescue you, but she doesn't have to worry now..."

Jr began to rise upwards. Was this the last of these guys, or were there more to come? What was this Apple thing they wanted? How exactly was Jr moving that fast? There were alot of questions that needed answered, and in the back of his head Jr felt like this was just the beginning and yet another weird episode.

He and the clone flew with them up to the top floor and entered the office...
