Catching Up [Spook, or Invite][NR]

The wind blew her long white-blond hair as she stared out over the city. She had come up to the roof over an hour ago with her fan, and had spent the entire hour standing just as she was and watching the going-on's below. It was almost funny, really, how she could watch the people come and go and all without them knowing or being able to know that they were even being watched. It made her thankful for the little things, like the fact that she was more aware of her surroundings then most. Thankful of the people who were around who cared about her...

A sigh escaped her as she opened her fan a bit, looking at it, and then out at the open air. She could fly without it of course, but flying took energy, and the more energy she used the more likely she was going to have to feed, and the more often. It was a task she didn't tend to like to do often, so she liked to avoid expending more energy than she had to: that being the point of the fan after all. If she could ride the air currents then she wouldn't have to use her own power.

Destiny had told her to be careful, very careful, the last time she had spoken to her; not a warning the Angel normally gave... so she found herself debating on if she really wanted to try to fly or not.. or wait until a later time. She also found herself wondering if Spook and the recruits were busy... they hadn't had a chance to 'catch up' yet...

He hadn't been on the roof of this Darkman Tower yet. The attention he was getting out in the streets was beginning to rack his nerves. It was worse here than it was back home: some of these people quickly became obsessed. If it wasn't for Vigilante or the female with the cat ears that followed him around it was himself. Letting things cool down for now seemed like a good idea. He'd made enough credits, and there was no need to sit outside somewhere all night anymore.

The roof gave an excellent view of the whole Edge City. Demi was on the roof as well, so perhaps this was their chance to catch up on things. He could find out just how much of Aisling came here with him from his world.

"Having second thoughts? You didn't use to hesitate in the days past," he said. "It was an everyday thing to fly around on that fan of yours...but then again I guess we are pretty high up off the ground, so I can understand how it might be a little..." Spook looked over the side of the building. 1,000 floors. Everything below looked like toys. It was a safe bet to make that no one would survive a fall from up here. "...Scary."

Demi smiled as she looked to Spook and then over the edge of the building to the ground below. "In my dreams, and thoughts.. I kept jumping out of this window to what looked like an office, my office... but you're right, it wasn't this high up. I mean... I can fly without the fan, but it takes a lot out of me...."

She looked back over to Spook. There was so much that still needed to be explained to her, so much that was still confusing; but the one thing that wasn't was the fact that she cared about him - even though this had been only the second time she had seen him in this dimension. The Aisling half of her was all for sharing the thoughts, memories, and feelings though; so they were in no short supply.

"Even though I'm not exactly human...", she added on, feeling the need to explain. She laid her fan down on the roof and then sat down next to it, letting her legs dangle over the edge as she turned her gaze back to the ground below. "So, tell me... what's a Hokage? Because that term keeps popping up in my brain as something Aisling was called, but I have no idea what it means, other than what it translates to." She figured if anyone could give her the explanations she needed it was Spook, and she was more than willing to answer any questions he might have for her; it was only fair after all.

Spook folded his arms while looking at the skyline. It seemed that Demi hadn't totally fused with Aisling quite yet, but he wouldn't mind answering any of her questions.

"The Hokage is the strongest Shinobi in the village," Spook explained. "They are nearly unbeatable, so they are looked upon as... well, the "Boss" of the village, similar to what you have here. You were somewhat younger than you are now, and some individuals in other countries and villages saw that as a sign of weakness. So I took steps to ensure that I would become your personal bodyguard, so that I could protect you."

While Spook spoke, his Telepathy seemed to come to life on it's own. Their world which existed only in his head now could be seen by those that cared to look. Aisling and her 2 dogs Frost and Zoe, which appeared to be so intelligent that they understood English, the leader of the largest of the hidden villages...

Telepathy:

She listened closely as he spoke, and as he did the information seemed to unlock itself from her brain; and even more flooded into it. She could feel his telepathy come to life and after a moment she lightly 'stepped' into his mind. As soon as she did the rest of the hidden memories, secrets, and information came flooding into her mind, as if that was the last little /push/ that Aisling needed to merge completely and finish the process.

Eyelids closed briefly and a smile spread across her face slowly. "Ah.. I see." She reached up, rubbing at her head. She could remember family that she had had in that other dimension, her parents, her friends, her ninken... and all of the time she had spent with Spook - training and otherwise. As her eyelids slowly opened both eyes had turned red, indicating Aisling being fully merged in her mind - the only reason they'd change from now on was if Auspex came into play or something else happened.

She stood up, grinning as she picked up the fan as well. "Now... I think I remember everything...", she said as she looked over to Spook, grinning.

Omnikinesis:

Spook gave a nod of his head. It wasn't going to be the same here. Aisling wouldn't be the head honcho anymore, but as long as he was able to be close to her it didn't matter. There was a whole new world stretched out before them waiting to be explored, and getting into a fight or two along the way would make for great exercise.

"So...does Demitria have any previous engagements or attachments that would see us together as being a problem?" he asked, ready for some jealous ex or something to come out of the wood works. He'd seen all of that before.

She laughed softly and shook her head no. She also figured it was as good of a time as any to point out that she did have two children running around. "Nah, I have two daughters; Nanalie is ten and Riley is now seven... but their father died a long time ago." She then shrugged her shoulders lightly, while wondering if he would have a problem with the fact that she had two children; even though they were the sweetest kids around. "The only actual blood related family I have would be my father, Maximillian... but he's not around much... So, I doubt he even knows what just happened in my head to be honest."

Annnd time to change the subject because that wasn't something she wanted to think about right now; nope, happy thoughts all of the way. "But yeah... I don't even have a pet... I mean, there's my inner wolf-dragon beast thing, but that only comes around when I get really super pissed off, and that has yet to happen in a good few years." Might as well let the cat out of the bag with the beast, always best to know upfront what was lurking inside of Demitria, waiting to be triggered, especially if Spook was going to be hanging around her.

If Demi had kids here that was fine. Maybe there was something he could even pass along to them. A father that wasn't around much didn't seem right in Spook's eyes but he wouldn't much know about situations like that since he'd never had parents. He remembered her mentioning that she wasn't much human here, but something else. Spook remembered seeing her transform once before, in the Land hidden in the rain. Was it something like that, or something else... He wasn't going to make her get mad enough to find out.

Her two dogs weren't here it seemed. Maybe they were in some other fashion. "Maybe here we'll finally be able to go out into the world together, to do something," he said. "Now that you're not trapped behind a desk 24/7."

She was glad to see no ill reaction to Demi having two girls; she was sure her girls would get along just fine with Spook - especially Riley. She was already well on her way to being a little ninja, and when Demi told her about Spook... well, Riley would likely have a hundred and one questions for him, Nanalie too.

She could foresee lots of story time in the future, that was for sure.

She leaned against her fan as she nodded in agreement. She could remember having to be stuck behind that desk, wanting to just run away for a week and go live in the woods, far away from the drama and troubles that came with Aisling's position of power... Yup, they would definitely be able to hang out now. "That'd be fun. I don't plan on getting myself stuck behind a desk anytime soon. I can remember all too well the urge to just run into the forest and disappear for a week.", she said softly, laughing. She stared off into the sky for a moment, wondering if Alec sometimes experienced that same feeling: just wanting to get up once in a while and go take a week long vacation, far away from the drama and troubles.

"Though, I have to warn you... I'm a tad bit of a trouble maker.", she said, her smile turning into a grin. "I enjoy spray painting things on walls at random... large pictures."

"That's fine. Some kids I ran into on a roof a few days ago, they gave me these spray cans," said Spook, showing them to her on his backpack. "Sometimes I come across a blank wall, and well...the creative juices start to flow. If you happen to see a picture of Konoha or you somewhere in this big Edge City somewhere, that was me..."

Spook eyed the island out in the river. His mind wandered with the possibility of others escaping their old dimension. "If me and you made it out of our world, there's the possibility that someone else escaped as well. It's just a shame that all of that work was just erased. Everything we did, everything that happened, it was all for nothing. There were some very talented people that had bright futures...such as my Prodigy Mitsukai, and the blind kid with the radar, Holeman. Everything they did, and in the blink of an eye it's all gone."

Spook would never know why the Gods would decide to just all of a sudden erase everything as if it didn't happen. Perhaps it was because mere humans threatened to become just as strong, if not stronger than them. He made it a point to remember to thank Alec for a second chance, and inviting him to a world in which he didn't feel held back.

Demi grinned, thinking back to the last time she had painted something on a wall; she hadn't used spray paint. She had painted a giant rainbow on Shinkai's wall, and had even knocked over the cans when she was finished; causing the rainbow to stretch out into the streets. "Yeah, I might start spray painting murals around here... so long as I don't get my ass busted for it."

Mitsukai and Holeman... two names she remembered very well... and it was about then, when she was busy remembering them, that she made a connection in her head. Her head tilted and she followed Spook's gaze to Sunset Island. "... Hmm. We shall see. Let me say this though... Alec's granddaughter, Amaranth..is a dead ringer for Mitsukai. She even carries around a giant red gunscythe that shoots all form of specialized ammo. Dunno if she's merged like me.. or just completely this dimensions version... But, I believe anything's possible now."

She looked back to Spook. "It sucks though... that everything ended the way it did. Sometimes I contemplate asking Niala, a friend of mine, if she could tell me why... She's got this gift that when she touches someone, or something they touched, she can see their past, where they are in the present, and their future, or what they're future might be I should say.."
