A Friends Death [Travel][NR]

Something was wrong. Something was so fucking wrong it wasn't even funny. She had been standing outside of her father's office door, having the door halfway open as she had been in the middle of going to see him when she paused, her expression blanking suddenly. Eyes grew wide in terror as she suddenly felt the constant mental connection with her best friend disappear.

Neither had ever been able to truly block it, to truly stop it. Even when keeping certain, more private thoughts, from each other they still could always feel that link to each other. But now it was gone. Completely. There was only one thing capable of stopping that. Death.

"DEMI!", the word was shouted, agony lacing every letter as pain, both mental and physical erupted throughout the angels body at the sudden loss.

The sky darkened outside, storms already beginning to rage as she took off, smashing through the door that led to the stairwell and not stopping until she was on the roof. The moment she was on the roof her wings burst from her back and spread, launching herself into the air and sending her speeding into the sky, towards Sugure no Shima, where she had last felt her best friend's location.

Alec was sitting in his chair, leaning his right arm on the rest to hold up his head. Destiny was preparing to enter the office, when suddenly her whole body was filled with despair and pain. It made him wake out of the half alseep state he was in, and let him know that something was very, very wrong.

What Destiny yelled told him the whole story. What had that Vampire gotten herself into this time? Could this have finally been the time where she got in over her head? Alec wasn't just going to sit here and leave it to someone else, so as Destiny began making her way up to the roof while the weather turned bad outside, Alec would rise from the recliner - the dufflebag in his left hand, his Mossberg in his right - and race after her.

Outside, Alec took to the air behind his daughter, activating his Spiritual Angelic Wings with an ear cracking BOOM sound. At an almost unbelievable speed he pushed himself in the direction of his grand daughter's island. What would take an ordinary person days took mere seconds for Alec, but to him that still wasn't fast enough...
